Although she would be lying if she did not admit that she did feel left out of such a huge event. The only thing that was really special for Selina on the twenty-fifth of December was Gideon's birthday. The so called magic of Christmas was lost to her. How could you miss what you never had though?
"I'm going to be happy around the holiday season... but distressed about the waiting..." she parroted, "Why? It's not like I celebrate the holidays with all of you...? What do I have to stress about?" Odd reading.
Kurumi shrugged. "
There must be a different reason for you being excited around the holiday season then," she said, mostly thinking out loud. "
Maybe the distress will come from trying to find the perfect gift or something. People do tend to get more stressed out and turn into even further perfectionists around that season. Mother is almost unbearable." Then again, all this was was a lot of guess work and, to be entirely honest, the shapes made out of tea leaves were not the most obvious looking things. How could they be? They were a bunch of dried leaves that had been soaking in hot water, turning to mush, and then left inside a cup.
Her thoughts were just about to return to Selina's earlier reading about Kurumi's tea leaves when she heard the clanking of hooves behind her.

Had anyone gotten the Grim?
Did she want to share? Not particularly. What Selina had found about her in the leaves was, well, rather personal seeing as the guesswork had to do with her own family, so Kurumi was pleased when Selina remained silent. Kurumi too didn't feel like it was right to share what information she had gathered about her best friend, and instead stayed in her seat with her arms down as she peered into the cup a little more to see if perhaps there was anything else she could see.
everything was all wonky though. There could have been...something that looked like a frog...but it was too squished and lopsided to really tell.

She listened as Thereos continued to wrap the lesson up, addressing each student who offered up some information and including the ever present "but" when it came to things regarding Divination. See? Guesswork. Kurumi wasn't a fan, but she really didn't need to worry about that too much. She knew that she didn't posses the Inner Eye and never would.
And then...huh? Class was dismissed AND no mention of homework? How...odd. That, and Thereos seemed to have a much more pleasant disposition this lesson. He had just thanked them all for coming and had even gone so far as to say that it had been a pleasure to teach them. Kurumi had been under the impression that he didn't really like the position he was in. Maybe he had changed his mind? Or perhaps she had misread him?
After cleaning her cup and returning it to where she had gotten it from, Kurumi returned to her desk and packed her things up. She flashed Selina a look that said "I'll see you in the common room later" before turning her attention back towards Thereos.
"
Thank you for the term," she said with a small bow at the waist. She wasn't sure if she would be seeing him again next term, seeing as centaurs probably had better things to do than teach human children, but Kurumi had enjoyed her own mini lesson of Magical Creatures while it had lasted. Still, for Selina's sake she hoped that they would have a new professor next term - one that the red head could feel comfortable going to talk to.
With another polite bow, Kurumi turned heel and made her way out of the classroom.
