Alyssa listened to the Professor's instructions and wrote it down in her journal. Then she took her cup and placed it in her left hand. She splashed the tea leaves around in her cup 3 times. Once she was done, she placed the cup on the table while she went upfront to get a saucer. When she returned to her desk, she turned her cup upside down on the saucer and let the remaining tea flow out making sure that the tea leaves remained inside the saucer. Now she needed a partner.

"Minnie! Of course I will. If you hadn't asked me, I would have asked you," Alyssa smiled up at her friend. "Here I'll scoot over. Pull up your chair. Here's my saucer,"

Jordan followed the Professors instructions carefully, splashing around the tea leaves in the cup before tipping them out onto his saucer. Once the water had flowed off, he looked up around the classroom for a partner.

The only other person he knew was Kurumi, but they hadn't really spoken since the incident a while ago. Oh well, hopefully they could work together? He sidled up to her, "Hey Kurumi, I know we haven't talked too much recently..." he took a breath. "Would it be okay if I worked with you? I mean, we need to have a partner for this don't we?" he gestured to his saucer.

Minerva smiled at her two friends. "Ok lets just rotate cups. I will take Alyssa, Harvey you take mine, and Alyssa you can take Harvey's. Does that work?"

Knowing she needed a saucer from the front of the room, Sierra pushed herself out of her chair and made way to the front. After retrieving a saucer and heading back to her desk, she moved her cup from her left hand to her right. *splash, splash, splash* She splashed the tea leaves around exactly three times then turned the cup upside down on the saucer.

She watched as the water flowed off the tea leaves. Now, she needed a partner. Hmm... She peered around the room looking for the least annoying person she could find. That knocked Hollingberry out... Now, who else might be free?

Tori drank some more of her tea and then grabbed a saucer from the front of the room, finishing up her tea once she got back to her chair. She transferred the cup to her left hand and splashed the tea leaves around three times. That finished, she turned it upside down on her saucer and went about looking for a partner.

Who could that be....? Oh, Greengoblin, sitting over there all alone. Perfect. Heh. Tori could predict death for her on the Quidditch pitch next weekend! Awesome.

"Sierra," she whisper!hissed. "SIERRA. Be my partner. Here." Without waiting for a response, she shoved her saucer and teacup over to the girl and picked up her cup and saucer in return. Mwaha.

Harvey smiled "Yes that works." he said taking Minnie's cup. As he passed his cup to Alyssa.

"That will be fine with me. Now let me warn you in advance. I'm really bad at this, so don't believe what I say about what I'm reading in your leaves,"Alyssa told Harvey. Alyssa looked into the cup and said "Ooooh! Harvey I see a long and rich life ahead of you. Nah! Just kidding. Okay time to be serious now." Alyssa stared into the cup and tried to figure out what the leaves meant trying to compare it with the examples of the symbols the Professor had shared with them.

Need a partner, please!! Keefer doesn't bite! *whistles*
 

Keefer walked to the front and picked up a saucer. Back at his place, he set it down and picked up the tea. Cup in his left hand, Keefer began to splash his leaves around. One. He splashed it again. Two. And a third time. Three. He inverted his cup and let the rest of the tea flow off from the leaves.

He began to look around. He didn't want to speak and distract others, but he really needed a partner. Who else looks like they need someone...?

Beatrice followed the instructions that Thereos had given them. After drinking the tea, she placed it on her left hand, splashed the tea leaved in her cup 3 times and walked forward to the front to get herself a saucer which when she returned back to her seat she used to turn her cup upside down. AND.. time to look for a partner..

"I'm also done.." She told the Gryffindor boy. Yep, she was. "Oh, okay.." Then she gave William her cup.

Looking up, Beezus saw a Hufflepuff boy looking for a partner, that is by the looks of his robes. "Uhm hi.. I could be your partner." She told him as she gestured him to sit. "Or...the three of us could swap cups." She added, saying it to the Huffie whom she did not know yet and to William.

Kourt immediately walked up the front of the classroom to retrieve a saucer. Once she returned to her seat, she picked up her teacup, held it in her left hand, and did as instructed. One splash, two splash, three splash! This was...kinda interesting.

She flipped the cup over, watching as the little bit of tea dripped onto the saucer below.

Now where was....Oh. It looked as though she had a partner already.

Her gaze continued about until she noticed an older boy that didn't have a partner yet. Well...it was always good to know the older students. "Hey." She leaned over, addressing him. "Wanna be partners?"

Kennedy needs a partner :P
 

After standing up to get a saucer he sat back down. Kennedy placed the cup in his left hand and around the leaves three times. Hmm, why did it matter what hand they used to splash the leaves around? Eh, maybe it was some sort of ritual.

Coming back to the present, Kennedy turned his cup upside down on the saucer and then looked up. Why did he need a partner? He wasn't good with that. What if they saw something weird on his tea leaves and thought he was strange or something?

Oh, well.

He looked around and said, "Anyone need a partner?" Because he, sadly, did.

Louisa got up from her seat, leaving her finished tea cup on the table, and grabbed a saucer from the front. Back again, she started splashing her tea leaves inside; One SPLASH, two SPLASH, three SPLASH.

Cool. Now the Ravenclaw turned her cup over and waited for a brief moment before removing the cup. With a rather satisfied smile, she looked up. All she needed now was a partner. Her eyes searched the classroom for any small groups or solo students.

Raising her hand, Louisa answered the snake boy, "Over here!" Yep, he wasn't a smart Ravvie but he'd do.

No offense.

Minerva giggled at Alyssa. Then she looked at Alyssa's tea leaves. "Hmmm I am seeing a well." She looked into the tea leaves as closely as possible.

No.

No one?

He was about to turn his head back to his cup when he saw a girl's hand go up in the air. A partner!... She was talking to him right? Whatever, he wasn't going to lose this opportunity to get a partner. Kennedy stood up with his cup and walked over to where the girl sat.

Losers weepers, winners keepers.:P

"Hi," he said, sitting down. "I'm Kennedy," he grinned shyly and extended his hand to her. Yeah, he finally remembered to introduce himself first.

Louisa smiled confidently at the boy as he sat down and shook his hand. Hmm. Kennedy. She did hear that name before... a lot. And a slytherin one too. Hmm.

HMMM.

"Oh!" She hadn't let go of his hand yet but her eyes brightened in surprise, "You're Aurora's boyfriend?" Yep, she knew about them. A lot. Aurora was her friend, you know. SO. "I'm Louisa Carter." The famous, the magnificent, the Ravenclaw. Looking down at her hand still shaking his, she chuckled and let go, "Sorry.. forgot about that.." She was just so surprised, that was all.

ANYWAY. Louisa moved her saucer over to him and waited for him to do the same. It was SO cool that she was going to read Aurora's boyfriend's saucer.

Actually it was kind of weird when she said it like that. O.o Never mind. It was the lesson.

Keefer looked round as a young girl addressed him. "Sure, that's fine. Have a seat." He smiled encouragingly at the young first year and held out his cup to swap. "Go easy on my reading, okay?" he joked.

" Thanks for partnering up with me" William told Beezus. Here is my cup and you should give me your teacup" William said to Beezus." Do you want me to read your teal eaves first or would you like to read my tealeves first?" William asked Beezus. "Actually Keefer, can give his cup to you. then I will read your cup and Keefer can rad my cup" William explained to them both.

Alyssa looked deeply into Harvey's cup. All she saw was leaves scattered around the place....like tea leaves usually look like in a cup But as she looked more deeply she started seeing shapes. Either that or her eyes were playing tricks with her, either that or she was experiencing that thing they call matrixing where you see things you want to see.

So Alyssa decided to sit back, close her eyes and clear her thoughts. She then opened her eyes and looked back down into the cup again.

Harvey looked into Minnie's cup. He was confused. How can you see shapes in this mess of tea leaves? he thought as he looked at the tea leaves. So he took a deep breath and tried to focus his mind. He then looked back into the cup and he was started to see something, but he could not make out what it was. So he decided to keep looking at the tea leaves to see if he could see something. He closed his eyes and tried to concentrate harder, he looked into Minnie's cup and was definitely seeing A shape, but what was it?

Selina had been eerily quiet the entire lesson. Divination was by far her favorite class or it was before the horsey took the reigns. Thereos had made Selina feel like an idiot on more than one occasion and she was pretty sure that she knew more about the future than the horsey did. After all she was the one who could see the future, but she was not one to go and publicize that often. In fact, she had only just gotten around to telling Gideon and even that had been hard. It had been really hard for her. So she was not going around and tell Thereos he was a butt head because she saw the future. Not worth the aggravation.

When she told them all it was time for partners she looked around the room for Kurumi. She smiled at the Gryffindor who wanted to be partners with her and said, "Hey... do you mind if I take her off of your hands? We tend to do this thing together..."

Kourt smiled at the older boy's acceptance and then giggled at his joke. "Sure...I just hope I can actually make something out."

She peered into the cup, staring at the tea leaves. For a moment, she saw nothing but soggy leaves sitting at the bottom of the cup. Turning the cup, she tilted her head to one side.

"Hmm." She muttered to herself.

Were they really supposed to see something? Because she was having a bit of difficulty.

She stared at the leaves for several minutes, turning it this way and that way. Wait...was that something? She squinted her eyes and leaned a little closer. That looked like...well, like a pile of bricks.

Kourt flipped through the book until she reached the symbols page. Bricks...bricks..."signify new plans and enterprises which will lead to prosperity. " She read aloud. "Well...that's good." She commented, looking back up.

Anyone needs a partner?
 

Ira put the cup in her left hand as instructed and splashed the tea leaves around three times. Why was the left hand necessary? Ira thought... After that was done, she got up and went top the front to get a saucer.

Then Ira looked around for partners to work this thing out. She always hated tasks which involved team work as such. But now she had to! Fine! So be it...

Till she could find a partner, she inverted her tea cup and let the water flow off the tea leaves. Now she surely needed a partner!

Having finished her tea, Kurumi shifted it from her right hand to her left. Why the left hand? Maybe it had something to do with that vein that ran directly to your heart, so there was more of a connection? Isn't that why people wore wedding rings and stuff on their left ring finger? Or maybe she had made that up. No matter, Kurumi did as was instructed and swirled its contents three times before heading to the front to grab a tray and returning to her seat.

She turned the cup upside down and waited for its contents to do whatever it was that it was going to do.

Kurumi's head snapped around when she heard someone speak to her and she bit her lower lip. It wasn't that she was against the idea, she didn't have anything personally against Jordan besides him being way too pushy about a sensitive subject, but there were certain...things that made his request a little...difficult for the prefect to fulfill.

Thankfully, Selina sort of came to her rescue. "S-Sorry Jordan, I'll partner with you for something else, okay?" As long as that something else wasn't a Divination in class assignment that is. She really hoped that he didn't press the issue. Yes, they could probably work in threes for this, but Divination was really something that Selina and Kurumi shared - and not because they had a mutual love for the subject. It had always been there time and, in a weird sort of way, was one of the few moments where Kurumi felt like she was the one helping Selina and playing the role of the big sister. After all, it had been Kurumi to watch over Selina these past few years when it came to her ability and Kurumi wasn't about to stop now. It was going to take graduation to tear her apart from her best friend.

Kurumi scooted her chair a little closer to Selina's and pushed her tray towards her where the remaining water seeped out from under it. "You...um...ready to tell me all about how I am going to suffer but be happy about it?"

Selina gulped down her tea really fast when she smiled at Kurumi who joined her. She was so sick of tea readings, but then again it was a staple of the whole divination thing so she did it often enough. Once Kurumi settled she switched their cups and smiled, "Oh yeah, you know. You have the plague, your doomed to have three heads, all of that good stuff."

Then she hovered her hand over her left shoulder where the faded blue DS was on her shoulder. Of course if they wanted a real reading Selina could always just touch that, but she chose not to plunge into the abbiss when she could avoid it. So she took her finger tips away from her shoulder and sighed.

Her eyes focused on Kurumi and she smiled it off, "Right... so you wanna start?"
