CoMC Lesson #1 Waiting right in outside of her hut door, Professor McClane glances up at the still rising morning sun casting a light glow on the area. Bean bag chairs of every color have been set up in a half circle facing the hut, with just enough room in between as not to crowd anyone (or their pets) in particular. Noticeably, a couple of jars have been set out on the picnic table on the opposite side of where the lemonade and cookies usually are. Professor McClane thinks you all should be paying attention if you don't wish to put the food of a creature in your mouth. OOC: |
Aurora skipped down to the grounds, she was looking forward to this lesson! She plonked herself on a green beanbag and grinned at the professor. "Hello Professor!" she said, gazing at the jars on the table. "What's in those?" she asked. She put her hand to her shoulder where Salvatore was poking his head out... the little red Salamander took one look at the stranger and went back to hide in Aurora's long red curls. She glanced up to the sky... as soon as she'd left the castle she'd noticed Sage fly out of the owlery... THERE HE WAS!!! She looked up and waved an owl treat at him. The eagle owl spotted the treat and circled for a couple of seconds before diving and snatching the treat from Aurora's hand, swallowing it in one and flying up to land on her shoulder. This upset Sage who, crawling under Aurora's robes, scuttled down her sleeve and settled on her wrist, his head poking out ever-so-slightly. |
Ellie was terribly disappoint MacFusty wasn't standing outside the hut. That man had such a potential for epicness. But LOOKIT! BEANBAGS! MacFusty didn't have beanbags. That's cool points from him. And cool points for....whoever this new Professor was. The Ravenclaw gave the new woman a smile as she plopped down in a purple beanbag. She eyed the jars, but they were of no particular interest to her. |
Luna looked around CoMc hmmm? interesting subject ''Hello Proffeser'' she smilied |
Now this was a class that Nora couldn't wait to take. ... well, what silly girl like herself wouldn't want to study about who knows what pretty magical creature? Or at least... she wasn't really looking forward to studying about acromantulas or anything else that would like to eat her or anyone else. "Hello, professor," she smiled, and then took a seat on a green bean bag chair. She felt very Slytherin..ish at the moment. Hehe. |
Damon bounded over to the grounds where yet another good term of creature study was starting.. Finding one of the more softer beanbags to sit on Damon sat down, Damon would have brought his pet owl along but he didn't think that having an owl in a class would be useful. "Good Day Professor" said Damon in the most courteous manner possible. |
Care of Magical Creatures! Hugo loved this class. With the outside and all. And he could learn something for his wandmaking. They had to bring there pet, so Hugo brought his barn owl Athena with him. It was a shame he didn't have a cat. He wanted a cat. He would've bought one but... Stuff happened. Not really, he was just lazy. Hugo walked on the grounds. The morning air was still a bit cold and dew was on the grass. It felt great being outside so early. This all looked lovely too. "Good morning, professor," he said as he approached his new professor. "I'm Hugo. This is Athena," he patted his owl on the head. Yup, she was reaal cute. |
Kimalia walked down to the grounds for her lesson, she brought her owl, Precious along since the Notice Board did request the students bring their pets along.. She just hoped her Owl would be safe should any exotic creature come along her way. "Good day, Professor." Kimalia gave a curtsy with her owl on her shoulder bowing too. "Good, Precious." Kimalia patted her owl's head for being respectful, she was definitely getting extra treats later. She chose the bright green-colored bean bag to sit in while the other students arrived. |
Care of Magical Creatures. Interesting. Daphne made her way towards the grounds, feeling a little excited. Hm. Hopefully she would get to learn about some really interesting creatures..like unicorns! They were maginificent creatures. The girl ran a hand through her hair before turned towards the professor and greeted, "Good Day, Professor! Hope you're doing well." Daphne sat down on a pink beanbag chair and waited for the lesson to start. |
Care of Magical Creatures. Besides from Herbology, this comes second to Jonathan's weakest subject. He doesn't read much about creatures but he does get fascinated when his uncles tell him about magical creatures. He wasn't excited but he is ready to take on to this subject. He's just hoping they don't encounter a giant creature today. What are the odds, right? As he reached the place he looked at the colorful chairs. Awesome. At least they had comfortable chairs, right? He brought Coal with him, his owl. Coal is not quite fond of crowded places so he's just hoping that his owl could just be normal today. He saw the professor as he got nearer "Good morning Professor. Nice weather we're having" he smiled as he brushed his owl's feathers and looked for a seat. He sat in the middle this time, he usually sits in front but not this time. maybe next time. |
MJ walked down from the castle to the grounds for Care of Magical Creatures. The Professor was stood outside the hut with a ring of cosy looking beanbags around her. "Hello Professor McClane; my name is MJ Cacklesmaw; I'm a Ravenclaw First Year. This is my barn owl, Avis!" MJ said, as she fondly stroked Avis' head. He hopped further down her arm to give Professor McClane a friendly hoot. He wanted to say hello too! |
"Good Morrow." Eino greeted the new professor, with a brief nod as he passed by her on his way to the hut. The hut was a lot more comfortable this year, but Eino still missed his old Professor. He wanted to let him know that most of the faerie eggs had successfully hatched and Eino released them in Iceland, during his brief visit there, when they were mature enough, but alas, they had a new Professor. Maybe she would like to hear about the faeries. Eino made his way to one of the blue bean bags chairs and sat down. This was a very strange setting for a classroom, especially for care of magical creatures, but Eino was looking forward to it nonetheless. This one of his favorite classes after all, even if he wasn't particularly good at it. |
With her bag slung on one shoulder to the other side of her body, her eyes squinting slightly against the rising sun, Louisa had made her way down to the Grounds where the Care of Magical Creatures lesson was held. She was looking forward to meet the new professor who might, hopefully, teach them how to take care of a cat or a puppy instead of Magical Creatures - okay, that didn't make much sense but Louisa didn't trust magical creatures. "Good morning, ma'am." The almost fourteen years old flashed a smile toward the professor when she'd arrived and then took a quick overall glance at her classmates. Not many had arrived. Phew. She could sit wherever she wanted. |
OHMYROWLING IT'S GRACIE'S CLASS!! *bounces* Another lesson. Another new professor. Perhaps the Prophet had been right? Not that Ryden cared for British politics - or politics in general, as a matter of fact - but it did seem like the teachers just couldn't stick. Oh well, it was none of her business as long as her grades were ok. They NEEDED to be ok, otherwise she would never hear the end of it. Guh. Plonking herself down on a beanbag at the back of the area - what was it with Hogwarts and unconventional ways? - she nodded towards the professor who's name she did not remember and placed her bag on the ground beside her carefully, for Tabs was inside. The silly kitten might die of excitement if it was released straight away. Here goes yet another lesson. |
Destiny found herself in a bit of a dilemma as she packed up her things to get to the first Care of Magical Creatures lesson. She had read that they were allowed to bring their pets to the class, but, which pet was she going to bring!? She had a few to choose from. Of course, she knew she wasn't going to bring her owl, Travis. He was so annoying and would just disrupt the whole class.. Her cat, Sly, would be all right to bring. She was sure he would just sleep the whole time or find a patch of grass to eat. But then again, he might go around eating everyone's shoelaces. Marcus the rat and Ruffles the flobberworm could easily be kept in her pocket, as could Carter the turtle. Sweet Merlin! Who to briiiing....? In the end, she decided on all of them. Except her owl. But he was probably flying around the grounds, so he might make an appearance anyway. Pockets full of pets, and a big ball of white fur for a cat following behind her, Destiny finally reached the place where the lesson would be held. "Hello, Professor!" she greeted as she passed, and taking a seat on a beanbag, she began emptying her pockets. She hoped Evelyn didn't let her cat try to eat Marcus.. again. |
Oooohhhhh! Care of Magical Creatures! One of her favourite lessons. She walked over noticing the table of jars before even the teacher. She pulled her bag further onto her shoulder, disturbing her little tawney owl asleep on her shoulder. "Sorry, but it's time to wake up anyway." she told Sunny bouncing her shoulder up and down to wake her up properly. "Good day professor!" she said happily, stroking her little owl on it's head just for it to bite her. "Ow!" The stupid little... She took a seat. Before she strangled this owl. |
Desiree had seen the care of magical creatures sign on the notice board, it had said anyone could come.. so she thought why not. Besides she had a pet. She was carrying her nice barn owl "Good girl Lila" she said quietly as she approached the hut. Seeing the Professor she smiled "Hello Professor" Now where to sit.. Hmm She didn't see any first years, but looking around she saw a girl from Diagon Alley, the one from the robe shop! Nora, right? yes Nora. She prayed that was right. Taking a seat on a nice blue beanbag chair she turned to the girl on her right. "Hi Nora" she said smiling slightly. Oh no what if the girl didn't even recognize her? That would be embarrassing. |
As the twelve year old Gryffindor approached the first CoMC class of the year she flashed the professor a quick grin. She had been suprised to see a new professor, but not really that fussed. Thea had brought along her large white persian, Maleficent.. and she wasn't sure if this had been such a brilliant idea. It was one of her favourite subjects for some strange reason, and she grinned at the other people who were already sat down on the bean bags. Selecting her own bean bag, Thea plonked the purring feline onto her knee. |
Although she wasn't much of a morning person Alice couldn't wait for her class, and that was Care of Magical Creatures seeing as she already had some experience in the field of Pygmy Puff breeding! Alice was already relatively awake due to her excitement of the first class. She arrived at the professor's hut and was delighted to see a variety of comfy bean bag chairs surrounding the area. Alice took her seat in a nice green bean bag and eagerly awaited the class to begin. |
With Puffles her pgmy puff on her one shoulder and with Aya her owl on the other Nessie walked into the classroom quite cheery. She loved animals especially her own animals. "Morning Professor" she smiled at the new professor. "Im Renesmee Dixon" she introduced herself and then continued to walk. She looked around and saw bean bags in almost every colour imaginable. Obviously she chode a purple one and she sat down putting Puffles and Aya carefully on her lap. She could feel Puffles was pretty tense but Aya on the other hand was as calm as anything. Her two pets were complete opposites. "Calm down Puffles" she tried to reasure him but still tense he crept up closer to her and started to hide behind her robes. She stroked him a little and then stroked Aya too when she noticed that there were a few jars on the table. As she waited for the lesson to start she wondered what the jars were for. |
Koala was moree excited for this class, it seemed. Orlando was still trying to be skeptical BECAUSE THIS NEW PROFESSOR HAD CLOSED DOWN THE STABLES. But it was hard to be skeptical when the new professor had that airy and pretty look about her - with her soft soft smile and the bean bags. The boy sat down, in one that was near to her hut - which to his great pleasure was next to the one Ryden was sitting on. Careful as to not let her know, he was sitting near her - Lando placed both his hands on her bean bag and pulled it, near his. "Helloooo .. " he greeted, cheerfully. Petting Koala on the head, Orlando let the dog curl near his legs. |
Mina made it down to the grounds with a smile on her face, she wasn't going to let this whole thing get the best of her. No, she was bigger than that and it would hold no power over her. Besides, it would be a very nice change to get out of the castle again. Fresh air and all that jazz; plus she did actually like the class as well. There were many fond moments she had from her previous years. Noticing the beanbags, she beamed. Those looked fun and that kind of brightened her spirit a little more. Spotting a nice blue one near the front, she plopped her things down beside it. "Good day, Professor," she smiled before settling into her spot. New professors were starting to become normal to her, but again she still had fond memories of her previous professors. Glancing around, she noticed the items on the table and raised her brow. That could be interesting, she thought before relaxing back waiting for the lesson to start. Yes, this would do perfectly. |
So far, most of the classes Ashley had thought he wouldn't like, he'd turned out to be pretty okay with, and so he'd decided not to go to class with any expectations. Instead, he just had a hopeful optimism that he would do well and not mess up. Making his way to the proper area, he arrived quickly, thankfully not getting lost on the way. He was really starting to figure out how to get around, which was good. People probably didn't like to be stalked, accidentally or otherwise, and so he was going to have to find a good way to get himself to classes sooner or later anyway. As they were supposed to bring their pets, he brought the only one he had, his black owl, which sat on his head, probably solely because it knew he hated that. But he was used to it, so he and the headowl just went on to find a beanbag to sit on, giving the professor a smile as he passed by. "Hello, professor," he said politely before taking his seat. |
Care of Magical Creatures? Weird. Joanna never heard of such lesson, maybe they teach it only Hogwarts, because in the US she never learned such lesson. Joanna stumbled down to the grounds, to the area which the lesson was taking place, when she entered the area, all her thoughts were distracted by one thing... BEANBAGS!!! Eeep! The Ravenclaw loved beanbags, they were so fun to play with, so if this lesson is boring, or scary (because of the magical creatures), Joanna could just play with her beanbag. YAY! Joanna picked a random orange beanbag, and simply slumped on it. Hopefully, there aren't any creatures inside the beanbags which will jump out of them, in the middle of the lesson. "Morning Professor," she quickly said, making her way back to reality. She was so distracted by the awesomeness of the beanbags', that she forgot that there is a professor in the 'classroom'. |
Jayden skipped happily down to the grounds with her snowy owl flying above her. "Come along Snowflake." She called out, pointing out a spot on her shoulder for the owl to perch on. She walked over to a blue beanbag and proceeded to sit down. "Good morning Professor!" She said, grinning. She was really excited for the class. |
