Really Destiny?

"You do plan on cleaning those potatoes up... right?" Sometimes that girl acted worse than a little kid. "We need to be worried about what you're eating because let's face it, you get a little... nuts after eating certain foods."

That's right, Marie said it. Destiny was nuts most of the at times.

Letting her wand drop into her hand Marie grinned at Mia. "I hope you're ready for this one." Marie wasn't so sure herself how this was going to turn out. All she knew was she was about to change Mia's hair style for her.

Placing her wand on top of Mia's head she closed her eyes and began concentrating on what her friend's hair was going to look like. With a picture in her mind she tapped the top of Mia's head one time. "Felintas!"

Opening her eyes she tried hard to hold in the giggle but it escaped her anyway. That wasn't quite what she had pictured Mia's hair to look like. It looked like her friend had been scared out of her mind.

None the less, it was definitely a change that's for sure.

Pfft.

Destiny had no idea what Mia was talking about. They didn't need to worry about what she was eating. And now that she realized that it was the Transfiguration homework that they were going to be working on, she kind of wished she had eaten chocolate instead of potatoes. Imagine the AMAZING hairstyles she'd be able to think of while hyped up on that stuff. She would be even more amazing at Transfiguration than she already was!

Rolling her eyes, she spooned a few more potatoes into her mouth before turning to Marie. "I am trying to clean them up, but you keep disrupting me." By making her take the spoon out of her mouth to answer pointless questions. "And I am NOT crazy." Because that's what her friend was getting at.

And just for thinking that about her, Destiny decided on a hair style for her. She was concentrating on it already.

The wand in Marie's hand had Destiny dropping the spoon into the bowl and turning in her seat to see the new hairstyle that Mia would have. Hopefully Marie didn't have the same idea as she did.. "Good luck." she told Mia, and once the transformation happened, she couldn't help but laugh. "You look like you've been elektrorecruited!" Or whatever that word was. But that wasn't important anyway. What WAS important was that is was her turn to do Marie's hair.

Scrambling out of her chair, potatoes now forgotten, Destiny rushed over behind her friend. "You are going to look AMAAAAZING!" she said, and without waiting for any type of response, she tapped her wand against Marie's head. "Felintas."

Grinning, quite proud of herself, she reached out and pet, pet, petted the elephant that was now her friend's hair. "Mia! We should have had this hairstyle when we went on the safari!"

*GULP!*

The look on Marie's face was a little scary. Mia hoped to Merlin, that her friend knew what she was doing because she quite liked her hair. Actually that was an understatement. She loved her hair. It was probably her best feature.

She decided not answer Marie about whether she was ready or not. It didn't matter anyway. The Slytherin was already tapping her on the head and Mia had to squeeze her eyes shut. Oh man, please don't let her destroy my hair.

Mia heard her friend's giggle and before she could reach for a mirror, she could hear Destiny laughing and telling her that she looked like she had been electrocuted.

WHAT??

She snatched up the mirror she had brought with her and looked at her reflection. "MARIE!" she yelped, as she looked at her hair from different angles. "I look like something out of a horror movie." She supposed it could have been worse.

Destiny could have done her hair.

And with the way the girl was scrambling to get at Marie, Mia was glad that she wasn't doing her hair. She watched with fascination as Destiny cast the spell at Marie's hair and for a moment she was speechless before bursting into a fit of giggles. "That is actually quite creative. You may have found your future career." She giggled again before pulling her wand out.

"Now it's my turn." she said as she moved over to Destiny. She didn't think it would be as good as hairstyle the girl had done on Marie but hopefully she could do a reasonable job and not set the girl's hair on fir or anything.

Once she was standing behind the brunette, Mia tapped her wand on her head and closed her eyes in concentration. "Felintas." Opening her eyes, she let out a snort of laughter. Not quite what she was thinking but it was still a pretty good hairstyle.

For Destiny anyway.

Marie giggled even more when Mia looked in the mirror. It was true, her friend did look pretty scary there. Not as scared as Marie felt about having Destiny mess with her hair, which she seemed in a hurry to do now.

Closing her eyes she waited for her beautiful hair to be destroyed. And WHY was Destiny patting the top of her head like that? She wasn't a crup after all.

Taking the mirror from Mia she hesitantly looked into the mirror.

HOLY HIPPOGRIFFS!

She had an ELEPHANT on top of her head. "I look like I'm wearing an elephant hat." Eh, that was better than looking like she had been scared senseless... like Mia.

And then there was Destiny after Mia got done with her. Now that girl looked like she had been hit by lightning. Yeah, maybe she was better off having Destiny mess with her hair.

Okay, enough of all that. Now it was time to change the color of Mia's lovely new hair. "Alright Mia, time to add some color to the top of your head." Placing her wand... well she couldn't exactly get it on top of her head, so she placed it on the side of that very tall hair. "RISTARIS!" She then gave it one tap as she concentrated on a lovely blue color.

Hehe, now Mia looked like she belonged in Ravenclaw.

Aww!

Mia didn't seem too thrilled about her new hair, which only made Destiny laugh a little harder. Maybe after they were all finished with the homework, Mia would let her do her hair. She was sure she could think of a nice giraffe style. Paybacks for not letting her keep one while they were on a safari. At least Marie didn't seem too disappointed with her elephant. Which she SHOULDN'T be. It was a nice, unique style!

Letting her chuckles subside, Destiny moved her hand away from Marie's elephant, not to mess it up. "I'd be RICH if I did this for my career." Because she was certain everyone would like an elephant on their head. "The ears will keep your ears warm!"

It was like a two in one hairstyle.

Too busy admiring the hair on her friend's head, Destiny miiight have forgotten that she still needed her hair done. By Mia. And that was a scary thought. Not because the girl might accidentally light her on fire, because well, Destiny miiiight have forgotten about that, but Mia could use this as paybacks for annoying her on their whole vacation. And before she had a chance to say anything, there was a tap on the top of her head.. and a bunch of itchy hair touching her face.

It ITCHED. And it felt like it was trying to strangle her. She hated long hair.

"It's so ITCHY!" Just so they all knew. Taking the mirror, she glanced in it and.. her hair looked like a sheep. She had a sheep on her head. "It's so itchy." But other than the itch, Mia did a good job. With a thumbs up in her direction, she watched as Mia's hair turned a nice shade of blue and already she knew what color she was going to make Marie's.

Stepping up behind the elephant head, Destiny concentrated on the color she wanted, and gave the elephant's head a tap with her wand. "Ristaris." she said, and after watching Marie's hair color change, she stowed her wand.

Right in the middle of her own itchy hair.

Hehe it was funny watching the other girl's reactions when they looked at their new hairstyles. Mia reached up to touch her hair. It felt so weird having it stand on end like that. It also made her neck cold from being exposed.

Apparently it was time for the next spell and Mia didn't feel so nervous this time. Marie was just changing the hair colour. That is what she was doing, right? She waited until her friend had finished before she picked up the mirror to have a look.

"Oh...ewww Marie. You made me look like a Ravenclaw." What was wrong with yellow? Or pink? Or her favourite colour purple?

She then watched as Destiny changed Marie's hair colour to orange. Hehe. The Slytherin had an orange elephant protruding out of her head.

Now it was her turn and she placed her wand on Destiny's really big hair and she really didn't need to concentrate that hard on the colour, it was constantly on her mind anyway. So with a tap of her wand, she said quite confidently. "Ristaris." And Destiny's hair was now her favourite colour.

Jonathan found himself walking into an empty classroom. Well, he did want a quiet place to practice on his transfiguration homework. He really needed to finish it at the end of the day. Pass it and hope the professor will like it. Case closed.

He sat on the chair and rested his neck. He was quite exhausted from sleeping. He never thought he could sleep that long during fall. Hibernating as the usual. Jonathan should really get rid of his bad habit.

Okay, back to work. He took out his wand and said "Ristaris" with a tap on his head. He did bring a small mirror to check the results. Now, he has pure midnight black hair. It's soooo dark. He looked gothic for some reason.

OHHH! He thought of another idea. What if he makes it curly right? Then he would look like a fool. "Felintas!" he tapped his head once. Again, he looked at his reflection in the mirror and laughed. Oh. He looked nothing like his normal self. His mother would be surprised if he see him in this hair. He doesn't like it at all and so she will as well...

Okay, enough games... He tapped his head twice "Intaris!" as he concentrated on his original hair. Brown and straight. Come on. He concentrated well. He looked at the results in the mirror and he was glad to see that his hair is finally back to normal. No more black, red, orange, and blonde hair. No more curly and long. Just plain brown and straight hair... just the way Jonathan likes it.

Marie was having a hard time controlling her laughter as she looked at her friend's heads. This was by far one of the crazier homework assignments she had ever done. Crazy in the fact that she let Destiny use magic on her head.

Finally getting her laughter under control she again closed her eyes as Destiny came at her with her wand. Grabbing the mirror she was relieved to see that her head wasn't PINK. She could live with orange but pink... that had been done to her before. Besides, she knew the orange was only temporary, unlike that pink that she couldn't get rid of.

And Mia seemed to love her hair color as much as Marie loved the pink she once had. "You know Mia, I could have made you look like a Gryffindork." But blue hair was way more fun than red hair.

Again placing her wand on Mia's head she tapped the blue hair two times. "Intaris!" And Mia no longer looked like someone had scared the daylights out of her. "There, back to your normal self."

Now Destiny needed to get this elephant off her head.

If it weren't for the fact that her hair was SO very itchy, Destiny probably would have enjoyed the homework a little better.

What was there not to enjoy? Marie had an elephant on her head, Mia looked like.. well, Destiny wasn't exactly sure what Mia looked like. She had never seen a hairstyle like that before, but it was an awesome color blue! Although, she didn't know what Mia meant by looking like a Ravenclaw. They didn't have that kind of hair.. unless they did. She didn't know that many Ravenclaws, but Mina didn't have that hair.

Marie might have received a small glare. There was nothing wrong with Gryffindor's. Unless they happened to be Carter. Or Josh.. or a whole bunch of other ones.

But back to the homework. Closing her eyes, Destiny waited for the tap on her head to let her know that her hair color was changed, and feeling that tap, she scrambled to pick up the mirror and check herself out. And she was not liking it. Not one bit. "Purple?" Really!? "I look like I'm wearing a giant thing of cauliflower on my head!" And the purple did nothing for the itch. It may have just been her imagination, but it felt itchier.

Thank Merlin they were going to put everything back to normal.

Waving goodbye to Mia's awesome hair, Destiny fished her wand from out of her hair, and after taking a few minutes to do so, she moved behind Marie once more. "I really do hate to see you go." she told the elephant before tapping it's head twice. "Intaris."

And voilà! Marie's head was normal again. What a pity.

Mia threw Marie a withering look. "Well thank Merlin, you didn't." Yeah she would definitely pick Ravenclaw over Gryffindor but there was no better than Hufflepuff. In her opinion anyway.

She waited for Marie to finish what she was doing before she dived for the mirror again and looked at herself. She let out a sigh of relief when she saw that her was back to normal. "Good job Marie."

"Cauliflower is white Destiny." Mia shook her head at the girl. She came out with the strangest things sometimes. She thought it looked awesome and if this wasn't for homework, she would have left the girl with a big, bushy purple hairdo.

But unfortunately she had to return her to normal, so placing her wand over Destiny's head, Mia tapped it twice. "Intaris." And just like that the awesome purple was gone and so was the cool style.

Pfft.

What was with the glaring she was getting from Destiny? She acted as if she liked Gryf.... oh right... Patroclus. Eh, whatever. He wasn't a current lion anyway. He was a lion that was missing in action.

What?

Purple cauliflower? Where in the world was Destiny getting her vegetables from? Marie had never seen purple cauliflower... and apparently neither had Mia. "I'd say it's more like a sheep that had an eggplant explode on it." That's it. Eggplants were purple... right?

Oh, and now it was time to get the elephant off her head. Good thing too, that thing was getting heavy up there.

Closing her eyes she felt the two taps on her head. Please let it be normal again. Putting her hand up to her head she was happy not to feel any animals up there. She then grabbed the mirror. YES! It was blonde again... and normal looking. "Nice work D but I'm glad to have my own hair back."

And now it was time to watch the purple sheep disappear from D's head... which was gone in no time. "Wow Mia, you're getting good at this magic stuff." Not even one little spark.

"Alright Destiny, my turn to give you a new hairdo." Not even giving her friend the chance to protest Marie tapped the top of Destiny's head once. "Felintas!" And then with another quick tap on her head. "Ristaris!" Before she knew it Destiny was sporting a very short hairstyle... that was now blonde.

Hmm, Marie suddenly had a craving for... pineapple.

Pfft, Gryffindor hating friends, not believing in purple cauliflower.

If the house elves wouldn't have closed the kitchens, Destiny would have marched right up there and picked up a purple cauliflower to show them that they DO exist. Of course, she could probably find one in the Great Hall, but that food was all nasty, and they might just think it is mildew or something. She'd make sure they saw one some day! "My sheep back home ate an eggplant once." And they did not want to know how that story ended.

Feeling the two taps on her head, Destiny raised her hand to her hair, and sighed in relief as it felt normal again. Well, as normal as it could possibly feel. She didn't have her normal bedhead anymore. But at least there was no more itchy hair! And just to make sure, she picked up the mirror to make sure it was her normal hair color. Thank Merlin it was. Were they done now? She still had potatoes to eat..

Apparently not.

Feeling another two taps on her head, Destiny's hand went to her hair once more. And if she thought her hair was short before..

"Marie! I look like a BOY." Slight exaggeration, but she figured it was her turn to do Mia's hair. Running a hand through her own hair, feeling how weird it felt in the back, she stepped up behind the Hufflepuff. Luckily she was standing behind the girl, so she couldn't see the smirk that was on her face. Hehe.

With a tap and a "Felintas." And another tap and a "Ristaris.", Mia now looked like a Gryffindor. And the color was nice, too.

"Rawr."

Mia felt the heat rise to her cheeks at Marie's compliment and she shifted on her feet uncomfortably while she twirled her wand in her fingers. "Um...yeah...thanks Marie." Now that she was conscious of doing magic, she was probably going to mess it up now. She was better when she just did it and didn't think too much about it.

To take her mind off it, Mia turned to look at Destiny and she raised her eyebrows about the sheep eating the eggplant. "Don't tell me it turned purple?" she asked in a skeptical voice. She was pretty sure that no one would turn purple just from eating an eggplant.

She watched as Marie walked up to Destiny and she couldn't help but giggle at the actual hairstyle and Destiny's reaction to it. "Well at least you're a very pretty boy." Hehe. And the next thing she knew, the Slytherin was behind her and tapping her wand on her head. Mia flinched before swooping down on the mirror and picking it up to look at herself.

"I should have know you would do something like that." she groaned and putting the mirror down in disgust. Not at the girl's handywork, because it was quite good but because it was...ugh...very Gryffindorish. BLAH!

Turning to Marie, Mia raised her wand over the blonde's head and tapped it once. "Felintas." Another quick tap on the head. "Ristaris." She stepped back to have a look at Marie's new hairstyle and she couldn't help but let out a little gasp.

Ooops! She may have gotten a little carried away with trying to be creative.

Jesifur walked into classroom 11 with the over sized box. She was going to meet a first year Ravenclaw, Cora Clearwater, to play. It was a game designed for four players, but if no one else wanted to play they could do it two player. Maybe one of the other students in the room would want to play too though. She was always open for more players.

Setting the box on the table she took off the lid. Carefully lifting the plastic tray out she then set it down in the center of the table. Taking the twenty white marbles she deposited them in their chutes, ready to be released. And devoured. She took the box off the table and pulled four chairs around it so that anyone who wanted to play could. She readjusted the plastic tray so that each chair at the table had one of the hippos right square in front of it all equal distance. She looked down at the four hippos an orange one, a yellow one, a green one and a pink. She sat in front of the orange one and waited for others to join.

Erin was down, feeling down than ever. Laila, her cat, her usual company when no one's around, her most contained and understanding friend was gone. Slowly, she slipped away from her. She'll never forget what happened at the swimming pond. And, she knew that one day, someday, she'd be going to retrieve what's definitely hers. Vengeance is sweet. It would be a war between that evil girl and her. She needed to know her name though. Erin, the sweet girl from Ravenclaw will plucked up all her courage to save Laila from complete destruction.

Looking somewhere quiet, she found an empty classroom. Classroom 11, others call it. She entered the room and thankfully, there was no one there. She picked a spot at the corner where if anyone would enter the room, she'll be out of sight. She pulled out her quill and parchment when suddenly...

A girl with long raven hair entered the classroom, holding a book and parchment to her chest, and an equally dark-haired cat purring at her feet. She looked like she was one of the older students: a sixth- or a seventh-year.

Amara stopped at the door, took a look around the classroom and sat down at the first desk she saw.

Erin was not alone now. A girl entered the classroom that was supposed to be her hiding place. The girl was holding a quill and a parchment, maybe she was going to do some of her homeworks. Erin needed to start finishing the pile of hers, but that could wait. She was not seen, she was sure. A girl didn't looked her way. Then, a little black cat was striding along with her. Cute. It stopped on its tracks as the girl sat on a desk.

The cat went over Erin's direction. It purred loudly as it reaches her spot. She was frozen for a while. The cat was definitely like Laila.

Well of course Destiny's sheep ate an eggplant. Did anyone or anything do things the normal way in her family? Not from what Marie had seen or heard they didn't.

Bahahahaha!

"You don't look like a boy. You look like a... pineapple. A pretty pineapple." It was true. The back of her head made Marie think of pineapple... which she now wanted. Hmm, maybe there would be some in the great hall. Yeah, that was going to be her first stop once they were done in here.

She watched as Destiny changed Mia's hair into... a lion. "Oh! My! Merlin! Mia you look like that crazy girl who claims to be my cousin." Yes, Marie remembered quite clearly when crazy Caroline put that stupid lion on her head that she wore to a quidditch match.

Turning back to Destiny she tried not to laugh too much. "You should have given her a snake on her head." Or lots of snakes. Then she could have looked like that crazy lady with all the snakes on her head. What the heck was her name? Snake Head, Snake Woman, Snakey? Yeah, there was no way Marie was ever going to get Medusa from any of that.

EEP!

Grabbing the mirror after Mia tapped her head a couple times she quickly dropped it once she seen her reflection. "What the heck did you do to me Mia? I look like I have... Merlin, I don't even know what the heck I look like." Well yeah she did. She looked like someone who had just escaped from St. Mungos. Maybe she shouldn't have laughed so much at Mia.

Turning back to Destiny she decided to change her friends hair back to normal... before she tried eating her head. Yes, she was getting so hungry here that even Destiny's pineapple hair looked appetizing.

Before her stomach started making those obnoxious growling noises she put her wand to D's head. "Intaris." And with two taps of her wand Destiny's hair was back to its normal dark color and length.

Turning back to Mia her stomach gave that annoying grumble. "I think we need to finish up here." Before her stomach got so loud Tate would be able to hear it... from his office. So in other words... CHANGE MY HAIR BACK WOMAN!

Please...

Cora walked nervously into the classroom. She was going to meet Jesifur to play a game for homework. She hadn't really talked to Jesifur, but immediately recognized her in the room sitting next to a table where a game of Hungry Hungry Hippos had been set up.

She walked slowly over to the table where Jesifur sat. Cora was so small for her age and quiet that many didn't notice her. But Cora had decided when she came to Hogwarts she would make friends. She already had a few, and knew she had to be more confident. So, she walked up to Jesifur and quietly said, "Hi. I...I'm Cora." She smiled.

Looking at the game board, she noticed four plastic hippos set up at each side of the board. There were many little marbles in separate sections. Cora wondered about this game. It looked a bit like a game she had played, but she hadn't ever played before.

Oh! Destiny loved talking about her sheep back home. It was a real pity that she was wasn't allowed to bring Mrs. Baaaarbra Brown with her to school. Although, it was also a good thing. That little sheep liked to bite, and who would have thought that a sheep that size could bit so hard!? Carter didn't, that's for sure. "No, the sheep did not turn purple.." And she let the rest of that hang in the air.

Mia would know what DID turn purple, though, right?

But that wasn't important right now. If Mia wanted to know more, she would just have to wait until after they finished their homework. There was going to be no more talk about sheep, boys, or pineapples coming from Destiny's mouth. Well.. "I had a dream about a pineapple once." And she needed to talk to Professor Hadley about that. And once again, she was getting off track.

"I could have done worse than that." Stare, glare, stareglare. Mia should be grateful she had only given her a lion on her head. It could have been..

Like the thing Marie had.

Thoughts of animals, for once, leaving her mind, Destiny stared at the top of Marie's head. Sweet Merlin! Speechless! Destiny Shepard was speechless in what to say to that. After a moment or two, or three, or five, she finally blinked and feeling the two taps on her head, she raised her hand to her hair. Yes, she thought it was best they finish up with what they were doing. She had potatoes to finish eating and yeah, she didn't want anyone else to mess with her hair.

Glancing at the mirror, just to make sure her hair was PERFECT, she stepped up behind Mia. She really, really did not want to get rid of the lion. It was a work of art! She would do that to her own hair when the Gryffindor's played a Quidditch match. When they are not up against the Slytherin's, of course. "Are you sure you want your hair back to normal, Mia?" Probably pointless to ask, but before Mia could even answer, she gave her wand two taps against her friend's head. "Intaris."

And with her and Mia's hair back to normal, Destiny made her way back towards her potatoes.

Jesifur stood up as Cora approached. "Hi Cora, Jesifur Hitchens." she held out her hand for a shake. "Have you ever played this before? I have played it with some of mt cousins, but it has been a long time. Its actually a little kids game, we used to play it when we were just tots. It's really easy to play though."

Jesifur smiled at Cora, "Take a seat in front of the hippo of your choice and we can start I guess." She sat back down in front of the orange hippo herself.

Amara turned round. 'Fizzy, where're you going?'

She practically jumped a feet off the chair when she spotted Erin. 'Oh - didn't see you there!'

Amara got up and and leant next to Erin and the cat. 'She's called Fizzy. Grumpy little cutie, isn't she? So what are you up to? I just came for a little quiet to finish off my Potions essay.'

EEEK!!

Marie was not very happy with her new hairstyle. Mia couldn't blame her really, she had no idea what it was supposed to be either. It kinda looked like when Moses parted the red sea and he'd left a little island behind. Not sure what made her think of that. No wonder she had trouble producing difficult spells.

She almost let out a giggle when she heard Marie's stomach make a funny noise but held it back. Her friend looked like she was in a bad mood. "I'm feeling a little peckish myself."

But before she could attend to Marie's hair, Destiny was speaking and Mia turned to look at her with raised eyebrows. "You know you're going to have to finish the rest of that story, right?"

When she was done staring at Marie as though the girl had sprouted another head. Geez! It wasn't THAT bad. Nowhere near as bad as the lion on top of her head. Which thankfully had now disappeared after Destiny had tapped her wand on her head. Mia picked up the mirror to make sure that her hair was indeed back to normal and breathed a sigh of relief.

Now she could attend to Marie. Raising her wand, she tapped her wand twice on the Slytherin's head. "Intaris." And ta da, all back to normal.

"So we going to the Great Hall now? I want to hear about this eggplant eating sheep."

Finally they all had their normal hair back. Now they could go to the Great Hall and get some food. Some warm food that hadn't been sitting there getting cold... like those potatoes.

"Don't eat those Destiny. They're all cold and nasty now." Snatching the potato bowl away from the girl she headed towards the door right behind Mia. "Yeah, the Great Hall sounds good to me. You coming with us Destiny?"

She would if she wanted her potatoes back.

Destiny was all for telling Mia the rest of her story, but she wasn't quite sure which story she wanted to hear. Was it the one about the sheep eating the eggplant, or the one about her dreaming about the pineapple? Well, since she didn't know, she was just going to have to tell her friend both. They were interesting stories.

Nodding her head, letting the Hufflepuff know that she would indeed tell the stories, she turned her head to crazy-haired Marie. Whose stomach seemed to be thinking along the lines of her own stomach. The potatoes were right in front of her, and all she had to do was duplicate the spoon. Unless Marie wanted to eat with her hands..

"HEY!" Marie had just.. taken the whole bowl. How SELFISH! She wasn't the one who had to make the long trek into the Great Hall, pick up the bowl and carry it all the way to the empty classroom. Now she was just going to take it!? "I don't care if they're cold!" With how bad they tasted warm, she figured they would taste better cold. Who knew?

She would have if Marie let her keep the bowl!

Scrambling to pick up her bag, Destiny threw her wand inside it before following after Marie and Mia towards the Great Hall. "And after I tell you about my eggplant eating sheep, I'll tell you all about my asparagus eating grandmother!" Although, that story should probably wait until they finished eating..
