Selina's eyes stayed peeled on the Hippogriff that had flapped its wings to signal her approach being too fast and close. She did not want to do anything too drastic for fear of the animal over reacting and then over compensating by perhaps biting off of her head. Maybe that was a tad dramatic, but that animal, even with it being the smallest Hippogriff, was bigger than Selina by a lot. It was better to be safe then sorry.

Then the Hippogriff looked at her as almost to continue to judge her. Selina hated that look. She had been given that look by almost every person she had ever met. The look meant a plethora of things- why don't you get potions? why are you so small? why do you like Quidditch so much, its a boys sport? why do you dress like that? why do you eat so much? why are you so odd?

...She hated that look. So she bore into the eyes of the Hippogriff to let it know that she was judging it right back. Its eyes dialated for a brief moment and then subsided. It bowed its head. Selina bowed her head a little in thanks.

Atticus nodded. "Just remember not to offend your hippogriff." Regardless of how stubborn they were, it was best to just go along with them, unless you wanted to face their wrath. Glancing down at his watch, Atticus realized that it was about time for class to end. "Alright, class," he said, raising his voice again so all the students could hear him. "You've all done brilliantly and I hope you've had a good time learning about these magnificent creatures, but now it's time for the lesson to end. So say good-bye to your hippogriffs, give them one last ferret or handful of insects if you like, and head on back to the castle. Your homework will be posted on the notice board. Class dismissed."

Did Hippogriff want her to ride her? NO no nooo she had no time for that, but Tori did have time to give Hippa one last ferret. She hurried over to a pair that she'd seen just sitting on the ground and scooped them both up, hurrying back to Hippa and hoping that she didnt' have to bow again.

"Hippa! Here girl!" she called out to the creature, tossing one dead ferret at her. She made a happy sound and caught it with her beak, eating it up in two snaps. Tori came closer and petted her some more, feeding her the second ferret from her hand.

Aww. Hippa nudged her hand sadly when the ferrets were all gone and Tori patted her head sadly back. She did have to move away though when the professor said too and tried not to turn her back on her Hippogriff until she had too.

Then she was done with class! She had survived! Hooooorah!

So it's the one last time that Tiffany could pet her hippogriffs. Off she went to pick more insects for it and fed them to it one by one. Her hippogriffs swallowed them immediately, looked as if it was still very hungry. Tiffany smiled.

As Atticus told them it was almost the end of the class, she sighed. She wished it could be longer since she really enjoyed this lesson, playing with the hippogriffs, those interesting creatures. Anyhow, she had to leave. She took off her gloves and gave them back to Atticus.

"Thanks sir for this fantastic lesson, truly. The best of all,"she said as she headed back to the castle. After she took a few steps further away from her hippogriffs, she looked back and waved it goodbye. "There must be another chances for me to come back and meet you again!"she whispered.

Kurumi had been hoping that the crunching noise would go away soon, but the seconds dragged on into minutes and it didn't look like the hippogriff was going to stop until it had emptied the bucket its beak was currently buried in. Could she...get off the creature now? Kurumi was a little hesitant to do so in fear of pulling out some of its feathers.

Smiling nervously to herself, Kurumi patted the creature's head and looked around the area as students began picking up their things and saying good bye to their hippogriffs.
Kurumi looked up and over at their substitute professor when he called the lesson. Oh, it was over already? Kurumi frowned a bit and then looked at her hippogriff again. Seeing as hers was, well, indisposed at the moment...Kurumi decided that she ought to risk it and slide of the its back. Clearly, her shift in movement wasn't all that pleasing to the hippogriff, and he squawked suddenly. "S-S-Sorry," she stammered. "I, um, I need to go..." As if on command, the hippogriff removed his face from in the bucket and marched the pair of them back over to where her bag was. He slowly lowered his body to the ground, allowing Kurumi to get off. "Um...thank you," she smiled with another polite bow. The creature clucked again and then went on his merry way back towards the Forbidden Forest.

BEST.LESSON.EVER!

Skipping, Kurumi picked up her things and was just about to say her farewells to the man when, she thought that she should take advantage of the situation. "Um, excuse me, Mr. Aldredge," Kurumi said in a nervous tone. "I was wondering if perhaps...it would be alright for me to ask you some advice regarding a future working with magical creatures. I am only a 4th year, so I am very much undecided with what I will do after graduating, but a career working with magical creatures has sort of been a dream of mine. Do you...have any advice, for someone like me I mean?" You know, all those wide-eyed and bushy tailed aspiring magizoologists like herself.

Maddy hugged her Hippogriff goodbye, but she diddn't give it another Ferret of handful of flies because it had some behavioral issues. She let it be and it went back to nibbeling on the grass, as it had when she came in. The thing could eat a lot! "See you" she waved bye to the professer and headed back to the castle.

It was time to go already? But Presley was just beginning to make good friends with her hippogriff. She sighed, all good things must come to an end eventually. She stroked it's beautiful feathers one last time. "I'll come back and visit you, okay?" she said to it. More to herself actually, but she wasn't going to be happy with leaving the gorgeous creature and never seeing it again.

She turned to Atticus. "Thanks for the lesson, Sir. I really enjoyed it." Then, deciding spontaeneously, she asked a question. "Do the Hippogriffs live in the forest? And if so, do you think it's all right if I come visit this one?" She gestured back to the smallest grey hippogriff, mentally begging to be allowed to see it. Presley thought it was the most gorgeous animal ever to live.

Actually, it was a good lesson. How to take care a hippogriff.

"Thank you for your nice lesson, Mr. Aldredge." said Raven glad. She took her bag and left the class.

Ira had lots of fun in this lesson! So when Mr Aldredge announced that it was time to end, she was like, Its time already? She had loved this lesson and had loved meeting a hippogriff and making it a friend.

"Good bye and Thank you for such a wonderful lesson Mr Aldredge..."Ira said. Then gathering her things she left the class

Minerva gave her hippogriff one last pet, she never did fly on it, but she hated to fly so why would she. Then she gathered her things. "Thank you for a great lesson." She told the professor before heading quickly back the castle alone.

What? Time to go?

Keefer had obviously been daydreaming. He had spent too much time being polite and waiting for others to have a go. And now I've run out of time. Brilliant.

Keefer set down his handful of insects so the hippogriff could polish them off. He didn't dare try to approach it and feed it, especially with class already being dismissed. Sighing, he gathered his bag and started walking back to the castle. "Thanks for being willing to come in and teach us. That was really good for a substitute!" he said to the Ministry man.

Zhenya felt sad that the last Care of Magical Creatures lesson had finished. Her top 3 classes... well top 4 had been chosen, and this was one of them! She stroked her Hippogriff's head and went to get it a ferret. She fed it to the creature and smiled, "Goodbye," she whispered with a smile.

She walked up to Atticus, "Thank you Sir, this lesson was brilliant!" she said, beaming.
