Launna had really hoped she wouldn't have to tell Ash the reason she hadn't been sent to Hogwarts - he'd probably think she was a nutter. But she wasn't going to be reduced to lying about it. Hopefully not, anyway. It wasn't like it was her fault...
'My father murdered someone using the killing curse,' she said, staring defiantly at the wall opposite her, avoiding Ash's brown eyes. 'He was sent to Azkaban. My mum's a muggle, she didn't even know about the wizarding world until it happened. She thought magic was bad, made you evil, that sort of thing. She didn't want me to become a murderer.' Launna laughed hollowly. 'When the Hogwarts letter arrived, mum replied saying I'd be going to Beauxbatons instead. And you know what the magical schools are like - they never give away any of their secrets - they wouldn't say where their school was, let alone who attends it... So Hogwarts assumed I was at Beaxbatons, and vice versa. So I ended up at St. Andrew's school for girls. Lucky me.'
She didn't think she should be telling him all this, but she needed someone to confide in. She'd kept it all bottled up inside her for years and now she was exploding. It didn't look like Ash was the kind of person who would understand though. He was probably a pureblood, brought up knowing all his life that he'd have magical powers... Mind you, if her father hadn't turned out to be a murderer, maybe she'd be in his position too.
Ashley just listened, pretty nonjudgmental about it all. There were certainly some interesting points in the story, but on the whole, it wasn't anything spectacular. Somehow just the notion that she had been made to go to muggle school had been more fantastic than this. He was pretty sure that somewhere in his family, someone had gone to Azkaban. It was a big family, after all, and he wasn't naive. So that wasn't surprising in itself.
There were questions raised, though. "You're a half-blood, then?" Not a question that needed answering, since that much was obvious. It was interesting though. He wasn't even sure he knew anyone like that. He tried to think about it without looking like he was, but no one came to mind. None of his family, certainly, or anyone else he'd known.
"How did your father hide something like that for so long?" That one was a good question. He had all kinds of thoughts in his head of secret magic, because the idea of a wizard simply not using magic at all never entered his head. "Was he evil? Why did he kill someone? Who was it?" Maybe more details would help.

"Of course I am!"she laughed. The snack lady?Tiffany was finding her too. She was not very hungry but she just wanted to have more chocolate frogs. Suddenly she came up with a suggestion. She asked Melania in a cunning way,"Maybe we can go together. And besides maybe we can find an empty compartment at the middle of the train and sit together if you want!"she smiled and hoping Melania would agree with that.

"Yeah...well maybe but he sure couldn't wait to get my on the train." Yep she was in a mood. She was now twisting Nikolai's actions around.
Marie was right. She didn't want to hear how she was going to see Nik at Christmas and that the time would go by fast. Heck he'd only left twenty minutes ago and she missed him so much that she actually felt sick. And she had four more months of that before she got to see him again. Yeah, Mia didn't bother to respond to that.
Mia snorted. Her magic sucked and no one was going to convince her otherwise, well not while she was in this mood anyway. "Nik's going to do the magic side of it. I'm just going to carve the wood. With my hands. No magic." And if that didn't work out then she would go back to her pottery and sculpting. It's what she was happy doing.
Gah! Her friend was bringing up the friend things again. And yes she had to admit that Marie was probably right and that she might not see a lot of her friends again but she was sure that the ones that counted would still be around, right? She heaved another sigh because she could feel that Marie was slowly starting to win this argument.
Returning Marie's hug, Mia closed her eyes for a moment and let out a small sigh. "Fiiiiiine. I'll stay." She hadn't actually planned on going anywhere anyway. "But I may just whine about it every now and then."
That was fair, right?
Marie couldn't help but grin a little. "Yeah, maybe, a bit." Merlin knew Mia had given Marie plenty of advice over the past few years. It was about time Marie returned the favor. And now instead of grinning she rolled her eyes and shook her head. "I highly doubt he was rushing to get you on the train." Maybe telling her she had to get on the train and go back to school but she couldn't see him rushing her.
"Even carving the wood you still need to know about magic Mia. It's not like it's just some stick you're gonna be whittling at, those are going to be real live magical wands." Well they would be when Nik was done with them.
"Fine, you can whine about it any time you want. We both know I've whined to you plenty of times." She would be there to give Mia a shoulder to cry on any time she needed one. Just as long as it wasn't bacause some idiot made her cry. Then she would have to hunt that person down and break their nose teach them not to make girls cry.

"Hehehe thanks.." Valeria suddenly yawned and she quicky covered her mouth with her right hand. "Oh excuse me.." She apologized. Valeria realised that she was getting sleepy. It might not be a bad idea to sleep for awhile after all.
"Sorry, I think I'm gonna sleep for awhile..." Valeria leaned back on the seat and her voice drifted off as she closed her eyes and slowly fell asleep.

"hey thanks!" she said taking the food "i missed you! mostly because i was starving but i really did" she joked smiling and then took a big bite at her frog before it could even try to escape
Samuel, seeing all these people sleeping decide it wasn't a bad idea, "Alright, I will see you guys a little later, for now im going to get some sleep." Samuel got up, walked back to his cabin, laid down and took a snooze.

Marie hadn't been there. She hadn't seen the way Nik was giving her exasperated looks while he was pushing her luggage onto the train. He probably knew that this was his last year of freedom so he wanted to enjoy am much of it while he could. She was being such a tosser. "Well he did say he was going to miss me. And he seemed rather excited about spending Christmas in Australia."
Mia was tempted to roll her eyes but she managed to stop herself. "I knooow that. But I know the basics and I'm sure if there's something I don't know then Nik could teach me." It seemed she was relying on Nik a lot. It didn't occur to her that Nik might not want to teach her or that he might not have the time. Yep her boyfriend had spoiled her way too much and now she was starting to take things for granted.
"I'm gonna take you up on that." she said with a grin. Her friend owed her big time. Okay she was feeling better now. For a first tantrum it hadn't lasted very long. "So to answer your first question. I had a great summer. Destiny and I went on a safari. I don't recommend it by the way." Not the safari. But going with Destiny. The girl was crazy. "And I spent the rest of the holidays with Nik. he took me to Fiji. How was yours?"
"hey! it's very much apreciated!" she said while taking another bite
"Good! I'm glad!" Jayden responded with a yawn. "Alright guys... I'm gonna take a nap... wake me up if something interesting happens... or we get there... whatever." Jayden nodded off to sleep..

after finishing her chocolate frog she said "I think i'll follow your example" 'or everybody's for that matter' she thought as she too tried to make herself comfortable to take a nap
Callen stepped inside the train, carrying her suitcase and owl cage. She couldn't believe how her owl managed to sleep while she was moving his cage so much.
With a sigh, Callen started looking for a place to sit. It was hard, considering so many people were napping and so took more space that could have been used as a sit.
Trying her best to remain silent and not wake anybody up, she made her way to an empty sit, hoping that the people resting near her wouldn't mind her joining them without asking. They were asleep, after all.
Deciding that the best way to pass the time quietly would be to read, Callen took out a Magical Fairy tales book from her suitcase as quietly as she could, and started reading.

Yeah, Marie was so glad her boyfriend was in the same year as her.
Marie just shook her head a little. "You know, if you learn these things in school then Nik won't have to teach you. Besides, he's gonna be really busy. I'm sure he would appreciate it if you made an effort to know a little more about the business." Did Mia seriously expect Nik to be teaching her all the time? Sure, it wasn't like Mia would be an expert when she graduated. Heck, even Nik wasn't. He did have to go to school to become a wand maker, but still, Mia could make an effort to learn the basics.
"Yeah, I figured you'd take me up on that offer." Hopefully Marie wouldn't have to go to Mia for a shoulder to cry on this term. She had done enough of that. She was ready for a drama free year.
Oh finally, talk about summer.
Yeah, Marie already knew about the safari. She just hadn't asked Mia about it earlier this summer when she seen her. When she herself was having a meltdown over not seeing her boyfriend for only two weeks. "I can only imagine how crazy your time with Destiny must have been." Actually that was true, she could only imagine it. Marie had never done anything with Destiny during the summer in all the years they had been friends. Well there was the summer after third year but she didn't count that one. That was not a pleasant memory. "Fiji huh? I bet that was a good time." Did Marie dare tell her all the places her and Matty went this summer? Maybe not just yet. "Well after I seen you in Diagon Alley Mattysnuck into my roomshowed up at my house and apologized for the way he acted." After he practically scared the bejeebers out of her. "Once he got done being grounded then we spent the rest of the summer together and he got to meet my parents." Boy was that an experience.
Ok, this is it. I've waited for this for a long time, Geraldine thought as she stepped inside the train. She turned around and waved goodbye to her father and mother watching her aboard the train. She tried to smile but she couldn't hide the fact that she was really nervous, and she had a good reason to be nervous, she wasn't used being away from home, and she wasn't that good at communicating with other people, (Geraldine is not a people person) but she also thought this as a good thing, at least now she has some freedom to do other things that she always wanted to do.
She looked around the train and saw the the back had lots of space so she thought it best to stay at the back. She looked around and finally found a vacant seat and sat down near the window and tried to calm herself by looking at the scenery outside.

Jezabel peered through the compartment door window. Unlike the rest of the train, this one seemed mostly unoccupied. She put her blue-spotted black kitten around her shoulders, and carefully slid back the door. A girl sat near the window, staring at the scenery.
"Uh, hello." Jezabel felt her checks turn red. Although she had six siblings, she was really a bookish, loner type. She hadn't really socialised much before. "Do you mind if I sit here?"

Okay,so this was her last chance to find some of her friends or even an empty compartment.Where was her boyfriend anyway? They had lost eachother on the plaform.Too many people. But actually Fee had expected to find him somewhere.Meeeh.Walking around, pulling her trunk with her the blonde watched out for he friends. Why did they seem to hide?!Or was she too early?Or even too late.
As the Slytherin was about to get frustrated she walked by an empty compartment.Ohhh finally.Sighing the blonde opened the door and got in.Now the only thing the fourth year had to do was finding her friends and having some fun during the ride.Hehe.

The scenery outside wasn't much to look at, but at least it relaxed her a little. As she slowly drifted away in the inner places of her thoughts a voice pulled her back to reality. Geraldine looked at the person that newly entered the cabin. She looked about Geraldine's age, so she might also be a first year. Geraldine's expression was a bit blank at first but she managed to give a timid smile to the girl.
"Good day." Geraldine replied, as she looked at her new acquaintance. "Oh, it's okay, I don't mind, just take a seat anywhere you like". Geraldine noticed that the girl had a cat with her, which had blue spots, she thought it looked cute, but it would be rude to stare so she glanced away for a bit, and looked back at the scenery outside the window. She felt a bit awkward having someone to share a cabin, but it was okay she thought.
Finally, it was the day Affinity was waiting all Summer for, to board the Hogwarts Express. She tried hard not to show her enthusiasm but she couldn't help but smile, she was so excited. Second year of Hogwarts already... Wow, how time has flew. Not pondering on her thoughts, she boarded the Hogwarts Express with all her belongings.
As she walked down towards the back of the train, she thought about her biggest regret last year, not making friends. This saddened her a little but she tried to keep her hopes up... There is always this year. She finally found an empty compartment and shoved all her belongings inside before she took a seat, watching all the students walk past her compartment...

"Yeah...well he better be." Mia had no idea why she was trying to do the whole tough talk thing because it so wasn't her at all. That kind of thing sounded better when Marie said it. At least she would follow up with it. And really she knew that Nik would miss her. And she loved him to bits, she was just feeling a little disgruntled with him right now. No doubt she would forget about that as soon as she got to Hogwarts and she could go to her dorm room and write him a nice long letter.
Huh?
Was Marie telling her what HER boyfriend would appreciate and what he wouldn't appreciate? Hmph. Well Mia had all intentions of knowing the business and helping out. That still didn't mean she had to know all the ins and outs of magic. She was really good with people. She would probably be better handling the customers and making the sales and stuff. Merlin! Why on earth was she being like this? She knew that Marie was right but for some reason she was in a very immature mood and she couldn't seem to get out of it. "Yeah I guess."
Marie had no idea. NO IDEA! What it was like to go somewhere with Destiny Shepard especially to a place that was full of animals. The girl was obsessed with them. She had tried to sneak a baby meerkat into her bag when she thought Mia wasn't looking. "Let me just say that Destiny needs full parental control at all times." Not like her. Hehe. "Fiji was amaaaazing. We had our own private beach where we spent most of the day swimming. And Nik climbed coconuts trees for me." And she didn't want particularly want the coconuts, she just enjoyed watching him use his muscles. Sigh. She loved his muscles.
Shaking herself out of her fantasies, Mia listened as Marie spoke of her summer with Matty. And she didn't tell her very much. Raising her eyebrows, she gave her friend a poke in the shoulder with her finger. "That's it? That's all you're gonna tell me about your summer? Details woman. I want details." Well not every single detail but she was sure Marie knew that.
