"I'm Lily," she replied, holding out her hand, "and don't worry about the ghosts. I've heard that they're the un-scariest things you've ever seen. In fact, I've been told that they're even quite annoying.."

"That's good to know that they are annoying...." Jayden said with a laugh.

"You seem like you know a lot about Hogwarts. So, you're a Pureblood I assume?"
Lily nodded curtly, "Yes," she replied, "but please don't think I believe that to make me superior in any way..". She had known so many Purebloods stick their noses up at anyone with even a hint of muggle blood, including her own family.
"I've got two older brothers who also went to Hogwarts. And a sister. They were all in Slytherin, but here's hoping I'm not! I didn't live with them while I was growing up, but I saw them every summer. Not nice people.."
"I'm sure he appreciates the sentiment," Cael quipped back glibly. Cael shrugged, "I doubt it. He seemed fine around other animals at the store, it was the people that set him off. He even bit me and I'm the only one who has ever been able to keep him in line. Well, most of the time at least."
Faina let out a faint laugh. She reached into her bag and pulled out ChooChoo, She held her in the palm of her hands, "You can hold her if you like," Faina muttered, holding out her hands to Caelius. "She's usually very friendly."

"So, you don't want to live up to your family's tradition. Will you not get into trouble if you're sorted in other house? I've heard from some students I've met, they wanted to be in their parents' houses," she said looking worried.
"OH, no, I am not pure-blood. My mother's parents were both muggles, it's just that she did end up being a witch you see." Jesifur hadn't meant to interrupt the words just came pouring out. She just didn't want people thinking she was a true pure blood because really it has all been mixed through the family. " My mom and dad did meet in Hogwarts though. So I have seen a lot of both muggle and wizard worlds." Turning a bit red embarrassed by her forwardness she turned to James, "I'm sorry, do tell your story James." she said with a tiny smile, "What is it like living in your home?"
"What is my home life like you ask?" James Responds. "Have you ever heard the term Hoarder?" he takes a deep breath because his story of life at home is not one of joy and happiness. "My mother has saved everything that has come into the house after my father left. She thinks that one of these holds the key to transporting me to where my father is staying. You see when he left he did so by way of "Portkey" if I heard the term correctly, and as my abilities have increased she has become more frightened of me." With this he pulls a withered Lilly out from inside his robe. He begins to softly caress the stalk and the flower begins to return to its glorious vibrant and fragrant Bloom. He hands the flower to Jesifur and smiles. "You would think that she wouldn't mind myself healing all the plants she bring into the house to die. But I think she is trying to kill the plants on purpose. That is why I am looking forward to going to school and being around those like me." He turns to the girl that entered could this be the Boon that the three of them have been talking about? He introduces himself to her "Hi, My Name is James Willow" He reaches out to help her with the tray she has brought back.

She was pretty sure they had never met. Then again, she could just be forgetful, but she definitely couldn't remember her. How odd.
'I don't think we have,' she said apologetically, and then gave the girl a bright smile. 'You're welcome to join us, though! Come and sit,' she said cheerily, gesturing to the empty seats. See, she was going to make another friend! Yay! 'I'm Gaby, by the way. Gaby Parker,'

Were they Slytherins?"
That was a good question - why did it matter? Gaby would make sure to ask in her next letter, which would be written after she was sorted. Gulp. She couldn't imagine their reaction if she didn't get Slytherin. It certainly wouldn't be pretty. 'You know, I'm not all too sure. Probably because they were both Slytherins, and so were their parents, yadda yadda yadda,' she mused. Yeah, that was probably it. Carrying on the family line and stuff. Or something.
Brothers and sisters... Gaby wished. 'No, I'm an only child,' she said, sighing. 'I'd love to have a sister, though. A younger one. I love little kids,' she said with a smile. She would totally love having a younger sister! It would give her someone to talk to in the big, empty house, at least.

Mia apologises for her prolonged absence. She had exams to study for... but then realised SS was more fun.

Cael took the tiny owl from Faina's outstretched hands as if she were made of spun glass. He'd never held anything so small and fragile in his entire life. Staring at ChooChoo with awe, he gently ran the tip of one index finger down her back, marveling when she produced a happy coo in return, preening under the attention.
"Amazing," Cael breathed, at a loss for words as a small smile graced his lips. "She's beautiful," he smiled, looking up at Faina to gauge her reaction.
"It's not who you are that holds you back, it's who you think you are not."

He's not so old nor so young. He's not so strict nor so easy." Well, what was he like then? Louisa found herself staring blankly at Adam, "I guess he's just... average." If that made sense to him.
Was she scaring instead of reassuring him? "All I know is he gives very god speeches at the beginning and the end of each term. He used to teach Defense Against the Dark Arts subject and older students told me he was really good." And it was enough. "I don't know why so many staff left us, though." She frowned thoughtfully. The Pirates thing might be something but Professor Vee didn't resign nor did Madam Donovan....
...right?
She didn't know yet. "When we see the new staff we can make our guesses." The girl concluded loudly.
"I love old buildings," Adam said with a smile. "I can only imagine how amazing it will be to live in a castle." A lot of Adam's other schools had been pretty, but none of them had the historical feel that he was sure Hogwarts did. All that detail spread across such a great amount of things and space was surely going to be breath taking.
Adam looked at Louisa as she struggled to describe Headmaster Tate. "So basically he's just right?" Adam asked with a little smirk, figuring that she would get the Goldie Locks and the Three Bears reference. After all if she got the superhero references surely she would get that, right? Honestly Adam had met so many witches and wizards with such little muggle knowledge or experience that it was nice to have someone that understood where he was coming from.
"Well I guess all we can hope is that they'll be at least somewhat nice and that they'll teach us useful things within their given field." After all knowledge that they could use in the real world was what they looked for in their classes, right?

"That's good to know that they are annoying...." Jayden said with a laugh.
She noticed Jayden's silence, she then started a conversation with her.
"Hey, Jade! Do you happen to know the singer Taylor Swifter? I love all her songs!" she said relieved that she could talk about Muggle world with her even if she's Pureblood.

Faina beamed with pride as he held her little ChooChoo, "My great grandfather got her for me years ago. He said it reminded him of me. When I asked him why he said 'because she is small, pale, and beautiful, just like you,'" Faina choked on the last few words. Great Grandfather Draco was the only person who thought Faina was beautiful. She absolutely adored him, he was the closest person to her in her family, he was even closer to Faina then Faina's own twin brother. A single tear slid from her eye.
"I know if this wasn't a train I'd say we're lost" Chelsea noticed the sweets cart stop by the compartment "I'm starving I think I'll buy some candy do you want anything?"
"No thanks! I think we're almost there!"

"Thanks!" Sage said taking some candy,"I think were almost to Hogwarts!"
"Erm..... Taylor..????" Jayden was embarrassed that she didn't know who the singer was...
"errr..." she thought 'REALLY!' At her school, everybody knows Taylor Swifter. She felt sad that the conversation she was starting with her just drifted away. She could not have a good conversation about Muggle world with wizards. She should know by now.
"She's a great singer. My friends know her in the Muggle world. It seems like you're not so much updated about entertainment," she just smiled to herself.

Jayden laughed at Erin's comment... and made a mental note to know more about the muggle world... suddenly, the train came to a halt... apparently... they had made it to Hogwarts. Jayden was thankful that she had changed into her robes earlier.
" I am going to try out for our Quidditch team" Willaim told Ivan." If I do not make it, we both need to root very hard for the Gryffindor Quidditch team"William said to Ivan."Do you swim?" William asked Ivan.
"I am a 3rd class swimmer but I don't swim all that much. What position are you going for? What about you William?" Ivan was really glad to have a friend now. He hoped they would have some of the same classes.
"I'm not sure how close we are...to be honest." Jayden answered. "And Valeria, yes, it is a school, but it is an older castle and battles have taken place there, years ago. "As far as the food goes, I'm not sure what kind of food they serve, but my sister says it's all really amazing."
"That's true..." Valeria sighed. "Well, anyway about the food.....hmm I can't wait~ My mother told me that once they had piles of cakes, roast chicken, every flavoured ice cream you can imagine and the yummiest pumpkin juice for dinner!" She said excitedly.

Oh! She was sure the she hadn't met this girl. "Oh, I still haven't met you. I'm Erin by the way. And you?" she said with a big smile on her face then added, "And by the way, I hate Bertie Bott's"
"Ghosts?" Valeria asked. "Oh, I would really like to see the Grey Lady! And the Bloody Baron too! Have you ever heard the story about them....?" Her voice trailed off.
Audrey walked till she reached the back of the train. She knew she was really late. Most of the compartments were filled. She sighed and kept searching.

...Huh? Louisa was about to furrow her eyebrows and ask him why did he smirk but something popped into her head. That night she spent with her younger brother and he was afraid of the monster under his bed, she'd told him the story of Goldielocks and the Three Bears resulting in scaring him more for some weird reason but that wasn't the point. "Exactly!" Giggling at this. "You're just impressive how you remember those things." Staring at him for a moment Louisa realized that his loneliness caused him to live with those characters.
"Yes. I hope so, too." She shifted in her place for a more comfortable seating, "I cross my fingers to not get someone like professor Shaw." Scoffing at that the girl stared out the window, "He had no sense of teaching whatsoever. We were even sent to 'sit in the corner' when we asked something." She made a face when quoting his words, "Hopefully he'll be gone." If not, she could work something out with her new jokes stuff. Ha!
Jayden laughed at Erin's comment... and made a mental note to know more about the muggle world... suddenly, the train came to a halt... apparently... they had made it to Hogwarts.
OOC: See you all in the OPENING FEAST THREAD!
Valeria gasped as the train came into a halt. Oh my! They had arrived!
Excitedly, she jumped up and quickly got out of the train, following her new friends and the rest of the students into Hogwarts...
Erin got up suddenly when she heard the train stopped. She looked at the window and there she saw a castle. Truly, a big one! She was awe-struck. Finally, they were here. This place will be her home for a year and these people around her are going to be her friends for years to come. She immediately wake up the others and went toward their carriages to changed into their school robes ready to take their first year into Hogwarts.
"Jade, come! Girls and a guy, we're here! Come on, wake up!" she shouted and all the worries seemed to fade away.
Faina beamed with pride as he held her little ChooChoo, "My great grandfather got her for me years ago. He said it reminded him of me. Cael's smile faltered as he watched a tear travel down her cheek, his chest tightened considerably with a strange feeling. He wasn't sure what it meant, only that he never wanted to see her cry. Crossing the room without much thought, he placed ChooChoo back into her hands to free his own. Kneeling in front of where she sat, he gently eased his thumb across her cheek, erasing the drop from her flawless skin.
"He was right you know," Cael smiled softly, "She's beautiful, just like you." Feeling a bit shocked that he'd unintentionally spoken his mind, he stood rather abruptly, his face aflame as he awkwardly cleared his throat and turned to face the window. "Well, you are rather pale as well," he laughed nervously, trying to regain some of his confidence. Ugh, way to go Cael.
Valeria gasped as the train came into a halt. Oh my! They had arrived!
