Arianna was very put off by this boys reaction to her question. Although this time she couldn't smile and let it go. She crossed her arms and sat up straight. SORRY I DIDN'T CHOOSE MY WORDS WISELY! She thought angrily. At this point she was ready to get up and leave. Although she didn't want to leave Gabby, she seemed worth it to tolerate this boy for a little longer. "Sorry, i my words didn't come out as i had wanted" Arianna gave a sort of displeasing look towards Ash. "Umm... Sort of. My mother was in Grffindor and my father was in Slytherin so i could go either way i guess. I don't know about the rest of my family know as i've never really talked or actually met them." Arianna looked down, this made her a little sad. She really wished that she could meet them, but it was apparently impossible.

Darn it. Gaby felt like she had given a bad first impression now. She really wasn't all that great at introducing herself to people... perhaps she should just wait for people to come and introduce themselves to her from now on. It seemed like a good idea. Then she couldn't embarrass herself. Right; that was her plan. Let people come and talk to her.

'Nice to meet you, Ashley,' she said, figuring that she should just continue now. 'Which house do you think you'll be in? Or which one do you want to be in, anyway?' she asked, rambling a little. She tended to do that when she got nervous.

'Don't worry, I'd love to help teach you!' Gaby said enthusiastically. 'I make most of my own clothes, so I bought my sewing stuff with me... even the machine,' she finished a little sheepishly. What? She might need to make something new whilst she was in school! She had read that no Muggle equipment worked inside Hogwarts, though, so she had bought a new, hand-operated machine. It was pretty old, though... perhaps she could pass it off as vintage. 'Here, do you want to try a couple of stitches on this?' she asked, passing her robe across. 'It's already pinned and everything, so all you need to do is pull the needle through, and then back down again over the top. As small as you can make it,' she explained, giving Arianna a demonstration as she spoke.

'Oh, goodie, we're in the same year!' Gaby said, happy that she'd have someone she knew already who was in the same year as her. She listened sympathetically as the other girl went on to explain that she had trouble making friends. 'Hey, don't worry. I'll introduce you to some of my other friends, if you want' she said kindly. She noticed how nervous Arianna looked, and felt really bad for her. In an attempt to cheer her up, she set the sewing down on her lap and gave her a hug. Hugs officially made everything better. It was a fact of life.

"No," Violet replied, "not very well. But I like to write." She looked fondly down at her journal, then back up again. "I think everyone should have something they really love to do, and do it!"

Cael turned to see who she was talking about and out of the corner of his eye noticed Jupiter mimicking him. One of these days... Cael immediately lost all train of thought when he noticed Jordan, who he'd briefly met earlier, poke his head into their compartment. His head topped with electric purple hair. Oh, right. Metamorphmagus.

"Good to see you again, Jordan. Electric purple is really quite a striking look for you, I must say," Cael laughed good-naturedly.



"He lives to amuse... others," Cael growled shooting the nasty beast a dark look. Jupiter stuck his tongue out in retaliation.

"Hello Aaron! I'm a first year too! Do you live in the Wizarding World, or are you Muggleborn?" Sage asked curiously.[/QUOTE]

Aaron smiled he already started making friends. "I'm a pureblood, so yeah I live in the wizarding world." He said. "What about you?" Aaron asked Sage.

The hug was unexpected but felt really good, hugs and laughter always made everything better. The biggest smile formed on Arianna's face, she felt the love of a friend. As they seperated, Arianna smiled at Gabby. "Thanks." She said not able to remove her big grin, and eventually breaking into laughter. It was a moment of pure happiness, before the smoother of books and the division of houses there was a moment of equality that hopefully wouldn't change even if they were put into different houses. "Thanks... ahhh... again." more laughter followed. "That'd be great, i mean i would love to have a go. Oh god look at me! I'm a mess." She had been so overjoyed with laughter and well everything that she had shed small tears. Arianna picked up the sewing and began to follow the exact movements as she had seen Gabby do. "Look at me a pro." Raising her shoulders up high and sticking her chest out, before breaking into more laughter as all she had done was one stitch.

Faina grinned. "I wish ChooChoo could stick her tongue out," She laughed, "Well, she probably does, behind my back. What's his name?"

Ashley was confused by the displeased look. He hadn't felt like he'd said anything all that bad. It was a valid question, wasn't it? Why would he know? And it wasn't as though he'd said anything about it. He'd answered her, right?
"You don't know about the rest of your family?" That was also somewhat confusing. He knew so much about his own family that if there was a class on them, he would pass with flying colors. It was just something that was important.

Okay, so Ash wasn't as good at this whole friends-making thing as he'd imagined he would be. He didn't mean to make the room awkwardly quiet there. He'd just figured since there were two people in there already, maybe they had been talking, and so he could just let them continue until he found something to say in a nice and natural manner. Or something.
So far, he just wasn't doing very well here at all.
"I have no idea what house I'll be in. Is it important to you?" he asked. He'd had the feeling that it was important to a lot of people, but after all the drilling into his head about how he just had to be a Slytherin like most of his family was, he was almost hoping to be anything else. It didn't matter what.

"Hey Cael!" Jordan smiled, lengthening his hair to see which colour his hair had decided to stay on. "Electric purple, eh?" he murmered to himself, before deciding that it was going to attract too much attention and turning it back to its normal purple tinted black colour. Noticing the ferret that Cael was shooting dirty looks, he sat down and said "Why are you glowering at your ferret?"

Cael barked an involuntary laugh as he envisioned poor little ChooChoo sticking her tongue out menacingly.

"Jupiter. Fancies himself a King, so I thought I'd name him appropriately," Cael shrugged with a small smile. "He's not always so horrible, he can, occasionally, be protective. When he's not demolishing my belongings, that is."

Arianna still wasn't pleased with Ash, but still she was to be a good sport and suck it up. She took a deep breath and said, "No i don't. You see my parents marriage was looked down on by both my mother parents and my fathers parents. My father comes from a line of pure blood Slytherins, while my mother comes from a half blood family and she is in griffindor as is most of her family. Apparently there were big blows with both sides, so my parents were given two choices either to stay away, or to seperate as it was against their parents will especialy on my dads pure line. Well my parents decided to stay away and moved in to muggle suburbia. I had never heard of Hogwarts until aout a year a go when my parents sat me down and told me the whole story, start to finish. So year, sorry if i went on a bit. Its quite a big deal to me. Sorry" She hoped she had gone and bored the two listeners to death. She looked at both of them and smiled.

Violet had stopped writing in her journal, gotten out her carpetbag, and struggled into her robes and so had lost track of the conversation, though she was aware that students had come and gone while she was preoccupied. Finally she was dressed and could sit down again--robes were not bad, you didn't have to worry much with your clothes when you could cover them up.

She looked up while they were talking about visiting Hogsmeade and thought a minute, then said, "My governess told me that only Third Years and older were allowed to go into Hogsmeade."

Brittania walked to the back of the train in Muggle clothes. She was wearing black skinny jeans, a white tank vests, a pair of green high-top trainers, and a green scarf. She had a small black bag with a long strap slung on her left shoulder, which was charmed with an Undetectable Expansion Charm. She found an empty seat and sat down. She pulled out this week's copy of Witch Weekly from her bag and started reading it.

'Ah yes, much better,' Cael thought with a snicker as he watched Jordan change the shade of his hair to a much more subdued purple.

"Trust me," Cael rolled his eyes in exasperation, "he deserves to be glowered at. When he's not defacing my property, you can apparently find him mimicking me behind my back. Alas, that's what I get for choosing the most foul-tempered magical familiar in the shop. I was in a bit of a mood that day. He reflected it nicely."

Cael blinked when he noticed Jordan's hair start to lighten. "It's changing," he noted rather obviously. "Are metamorphmagus abilities fairly in tune with their host's emotional states?" Cael winced at how that had sounded; he wasn't trying to make it out like it was some kind of disease.

"Er, not that there's anything wrong with being a metamorphmagus. I actually think it would be pretty amazing to have such a physical grasp of my natural magic." Hopefully Jordan would forgive the slip of tongue.

Chelsea looked at Violet "The ministry changed it first years are allowed to go there if they have a permission slip"

Ronnie, ready in her robes smiled at everyone in the compartment. "We're almost here!" she said, more shrieked. She hoped she hadn't scared everyone. She opened the window and stuck her head out. The breeze felt so good on her face! Suddenly, and owl flew right in and she stuck her head back in. The owl landed on her lap. "Oh, Plumeria! It's the family owl!" she said to her little sister. The owl dropped a letter on her lap and flew back out the window. Ronnie opened up the letter and read:
Dear Ronnie and Plumeria,
I just wanted to write to you to tell you that I love you and have a great time at Hogwarts. Ronnie, make sure to help Plumeria around and do good in your classes! Have a great year at Hogwarts, sweethearts!

"It's from grandma." Ronnie said handing the letter to Plumeria. She then excitedly went to go look for Faina to do.......their business they had planned out.

Megan calmly sat down in a seat close to the back of the train and stored her luggage, all except for her owl, Snowcap, and her wand. She pulled out a treat for Snowcap, who hooted with delight. Then she looked at her wand. It was still hard to believe she was a witch. Her parents never mentioned the magical world until Megan got her Hogwarts letter, when they had to tell her everything. Her mom did most of the explaining, since her father was a muggle. She was completely bewildered to hear it, she thought they were joking. Then she figured out differently. Now, thinking of the recent past, Megan remembered what her mom had said before letting her on the train. "Remember, try to make friends!" She suddenly got worried. I hope I do make friend, because this will be a hard 7 years if I don't.

"Yeah, it would be neat if they did." Temperance says "Sure, I'll try it. It's a sweet from the wizarding world?" she asks.

"Cool, I wish I could write well. I guess I make for my lack of being able to write well by being able to draw well." Temperance says with a shrug of her shoulders "I agree with that. You shouldn't let anyone or anything hold you back from doing something you love." she says.

Chelsea gave her a Cauldron Cake "Yeah there like chocolate cake with a golden filling its really good"

Violet brightened up at this news, but quickly because subdued again. A permission slip-who would that have to be from? She probably could talk her governess into signing one, but she might not be able to since she wasn't a relative. And Violet was pretty sure her snobby grandfather and uncles wouldn't want to be bothered. It wasn't so bad when she thought her whole class had to miss out on Hogsmeade weekends, but it would be horrible if everyone else got to go and she was stuck in the castle alone.

"I actually went to the beach for the first time this summer," she blushed. It was a rather large milestone to be honest. "In Florida that is. I was surprised how...warm the water felt." Not that she had been expecting it to be ice cold or anything. She found herself blinking again. "Only if mother allows it. She didn't like that I was away so much this summer." Not to mention the explosion that had happened when she had learned that Kurumi's study abroad had been all about MAGICAL foreign relations.

"I do have fun, thank you very much," Kurumi replied in a forced shocked tone. She did! "I bake do other things that I enjoy."

"Oh! A keeper! Are youany good? Sorry! That's kind of a stupid question to ask! Do you have any favorite teams you support? Sage asked, rambling slightly.

"Very!" Sage said leaning closer,"I can't wairt to go to Honeydukes! I hear they've got the best sweets ever!"

"Hello! Are you a first year too?" Sage asked the young girl, who was about the same age as Sage herslef.
"I'm a Half-Blood. My mum was a Pureblood, but my dad was Muggleborn!" Sage explained to Aaron,"So what house do you hope to be in?"

"I've heard that too. I can't wait I'm excited I hope we get to go the first weekend that we're there!" she said.
