"I've attempted but utterly failed, my mother though is very good. Always been a bit envious of her skills. It seems you were gifted." Arianna smiled. All she wanted was a friend.
'Nice to meet you, Arianna. Are you going to be a first year too?,' she asked, smiling. Apparently, she had just made a new friend! Yay! It seemed that she would be arriving at Hogwarts with a friendship group already established. How awesome was that?! 'Thank you! It's one of my favourite hobbies, apart from reading,' she said happily, completing one sleeve and snapping the thread with her teeth. She quickly tried the robe on and checked the length - it was perfect. Smiling, she pulled it off again and began to take up the other sleeve. 'Aw, I'm sure you weren't that bad. But I could teach you, if you like?' she offered kindly. She had taught a couple of her old friends in Virginia already.

Trying being the operative word there. Conversation wasn't one of his strong points. Still, didn't seem bothered at all when the girl showed up suddenly, just giving her a questioning look until she was done speaking.
"Ah, sure, that sounds fine," he said, getting up and putting his book away. Still... "I look lonely? Really?" That didn't sound good. He didn't want to sit around looking desperate or anything. That was just embarrassing.
Oh, yay. He was going to come and join them! She had a chance to make a new friend. Yay! Smiling, she led him back to the other compartment and sat back down, gesturing for the boy to do the same. 'Well, maybe not lonely, exactly,' she said, blushing a little. 'I'm not always the best at choosing my words,' she added nervously. She hoped he wouldn't take offence. She just wanted to be nice!
'I'm Gaby, by the way,' she told him cheerily. 'Gaby Parker. I'm starting my first year this year, what about you?' she asked curiously. He did look about the same age as her, but she was awful at judging these types of things. For all she knew, he could be a fourth year or something and just look younger than he actually was.

Mia apologises for her prolonged absence. She had exams to study for... but then realised SS was more fun.
Adam reached into his bag at the sight of the spilled water and pulled out a little towel. And of course the towel had 007 written across it. Perhaps Adam had taken the theme too far, but it just seemed appropriate all things considered. "Luckily my parents were out when I brought him home," Adam said while wiping up the puppy's mess. "I built him a little bed in my closet, which has a little window that over looks our backyard. I stay in my room with him out most of the time, but when my parents are home and they need me I put him in there." Adam was glad the closet was big and had a window, because he could open the window and let fresh air in for the dog. "He usually sleeps in my bed with me though," Adam said, giving the dog a pleasant little smile. JB really was his little companion.
"I did actually," Adam said with a little nod of the head, while shoving the towel back into his backpack. JB seemed to be finished so Adam took the bowl and put it back into the bag as well. "I met a girl named Ellie Stone whose also in Ravenclaw, and a girl named Amy Samson whose in Hufflepuff if I am remembering correctly." Honestly the two of them had spent more time talking about candy than anything, but he had enjoyed her company nevertheless. Adam had also met both Ellie and Dallin at platform waiting to get onto the train, but Adam figured that wasn't really worth bringing up. After all Adam was sure Louisa was still trying to figure that whole situation out, so it was best to just let that tid bit be until he figured out where Louisa and Dallin stood. "I also met another boy named Paulie...he's really nice."
Oh. His parents lived with him still. She nodded, "It's great that he didn't try to disapparate out of it like he did with the cage." Or maybe the cage itself was magical and they just didn't know? Anyways, Louisa went back to scratching the dog's back absently as they talked.
"I don't think I know either one of them. The girl from Ravenclaw should be recognizable if I see her, though. Probably." She nodded slightly. "It's great that you're mingling in already. I don't think you need me to stick around as much as I thought I would." Laughing after that so he would know it was only a joke... kind of.
JB had started suddenly woofing at his shorts, his paws pressed against her bare thighs. Louisa stared puzzled at him until she figured it out, "Oh. You want a treat?" Chuckling at the dog's exceptional sniffing skills, she got a bunch of Chocolate Frogs out of her pocket and before she could lay them down and open only once a time, JB was all over the job scratching and tearing the paper away so the frogs started to bounce all over the compartment. The girl bundled into a ball on the seat next to Adam, hiding her head with her hands, her laugh was muffled by the back of the seat. Frogs kept bouncing around and sometimes she felt something touching her bare legs and felt the chocolate staining her. "Merline! How are we going to stop them!?" Her laughs weren't contained yet as she addressed Adam. JB was jumping around trying to catch some with his mouth.

"I put some perfume on." she said. "Just in case I smell like vomit." she said laughing. "Wanna trick William with one? Maria snuggled up closer to Mikey and sniffled. "But she's not strong enough to fight this one. Even Anna said it" she whispered.
Mikey rested his head against Maria's gently. "Think positive" he told her.

It wasn't exactly that he was offended. Ash just couldn't help but become a litttle concerned as he followed that he was giving off a bad impression. Well, an embarrassing one, anyway. But it wasn't that big a deal, and he just shrugged it off, taking a seat.
"I was just reading," he said, because what else was there for him to say about any of that. It wasn't a big deal. He sort of smiled, glancing over at the other person in the compartment and giving her a nod of acknowledgement, because it was probably rude not to. "Anyway, I'm Ashley. Ashley Moon. First year," he replied, though he was sort of speaking to both, since they were both there and able to hear him. And that was where his failure at conversation kicked in, and he decided to just quiet there and find out if anything interesting had been going on before he showed up. Or maybe he'd even come up with something else to say. That would be nice and not awkward at all.
"It's not who you are that holds you back, it's who you think you are not."

Her laughs weren't contained yet as she addressed Adam. JB was jumping around trying to catch some with his mouth.
"He's actually very efficient with the whole apparating thing," Adam said with a little smirk. "If I'm asleep he'll apparate into my backyard so he can go to the bathroom, then he apparates right back in." Adam couldn't believe it the first time it had happened, but after a while he appreciated the dog's skill. It saved him from having to climb out his window, and crawl down the side of the house, all while holding JB in his arms.
He gave Louisa a smile. He knew she was kidding, but a part of him was glad that Louisa could see he was doing alright. Of course that didn't mean he didn't want her around, because of course he did, he was just had other people to go to so Louisa could go and do her own thing. "They're all really nice," Adam said with a smile.
Adam looked at JB as he started to bark happily at Louisa. While Louisa was reaching into her pocket to grab out a treat for him Adam had bent over to find his robes. They were supposed to be changing into them soon, right? Adam leaned back up, about to ask Louisa when suddenly a chocolate frog came right at him, landing square on his nose before jumping off. Feeling the chocolate Adam reached up with his newly healed hand and wiped it off. He couldn't stop himself from laughing as he saw Louisa huddled against the chair, chocolate stains all over her clothes from the chocolate.
"I guess we'll just have to try and grab them," Adam said, trying to keep down his own laughs. Adam was about to try and reach one that had landed on top of his back pack when he spotted one that was airborne, going straight towards Louisa's head. Scrambling out of his seat Adam reached out and grabbed it, losing his balance slightly due to the unexpected force that the frog had hitting his hand. He fell back slightly, placing his hand on the back of the seat, right near Louisa's shoulder.
He was about to apologize for nearing falling on top of her when a frog slammed right into his cheek. "What the...." Adam said with a laugh.

"Oh Mickey you so fine, you so fine you blow my mind, hey Mickey!" Faina grinned. "Mick, this is Caelius. Caelius, this is Mickey."
Cael gave Faina a flat stare. "..."

Faina grinned, "I read this earlier today. And i kind of doubt they will really be that unqualified. Probably the Daily Prophet had nothing to write about so they made up some trash to please the readers." Faina then remembered they were in the presence of company, "Oh! Caeli! This is my friend Mickey!"
"Maybe..." Cael replied doubtfully. "Mickey?" Cael asked only to notice a rather average-looking girl with mousy-brown hair give him a small salute.

Arianna was happy that she had asked, but felt she would only be made a burden as she was sure she would do horribly. Arianna smiled. How much smiling does one do? She thought to herself. Well not this much. She looked down at her hands. " Yes." Yes? "I mean... Sorry, yes this is my first year. I'm sorry i'm not normally good at making, you know, friends." Arianna looked down playing with her thumbs.

Mikey took hold of Maria's hand. "I'm sure Ad will want you to" he replied.

Arianna smiled and nodded back at the boy. She was excited to know that she would not have to enter hogwarts alone. Arianna got up and leaned against the compartment door. "Hi there. Coming to join us are you?" Arianna said lively.
"Apparently," Ash said plainly. He'd figured that much was obvious, since he was there and all. But at the last minute he realized it was probably just something to say, and she hadn't meant it as if she really didn't know. So he offered a small smile, in an attempt to soften the comment.
"Who are you?" he asked, not bothering to introduce himself again, since it wouldn't have made sense to do so.

Arianna was a bit taken back by his comments, but seemings she didn't want to stir any trouble she accepted his smile, nodding back politely. Arianna took her seat again. Looking back over at Ash she replied, "I'm Arianna, Arianna Upward. First Year." Arianna was going to ask the same question as she had been asked back, but knew that that would be silly seeings as she already knew, even if he hadn't told her directly. "Do you know what house your going to be in? (Or want to be in?)" She said, trying to make conversation. She really didn't know what to say or how to start a converstaion, so she thought well hogwarts seems a good subject.

Louisa saw that Adam was on his feet now struggling to stop the frogs from co- BAM! A frog had hit him in the cheek sending another fit of laughter through Louisa. She hadn't laughed like this since... last year at Hogwarts. For real. JB was still jumping in the crowded compartment, and the girl scooted on the seat to hide her body behind Adam who was a good human shield.
Only the frogs didn't seem to mind the shield, one of the had hopped on Adam's shoulder and directly sank on Louisa's head. Quickly she smacked both hands on her head forgetting all about the chocolate and her head was now a cutie chocolate cake. She was about to groan but the laugh prevented any bad feelings, another frog had jumped on the window and was making its way toward Adam but she saw it. With an ungraceful move, Louisa straightened up on her knees and launched herself at the hopping chocolate and succeeded to grab it and shoving it into her mouth as it was forced to stay close and chew on the candy.
Realizing that she was actually over Adam's shoulder, resting herself on him because of that lousy jerk of her body, she slumped back onto the seat, "Sowy," she mumbled still munching on the chocolate. Aaaah. It was a bit quieter suddenly, maybe Adam and JB had caught the rest?
Maria nodded. She sat up straight and ran her hands through her short hair, messing it up.
Mikey leaned forward and looked Maria square in the eyes. "Your hair looks really nice like that" he replied.

Jordan felt self conscious as he walked down the corridor, knowing that his hair colour was changing with every step he made and that he couldnt control it. "Of course I don't know that. Why would I know that?" What could have sounded harsh really just came out in a confused manner, which was good, because that was how Ash'd felt about the question. Of course he had ideas, based on the rest of his family, but he was trying not to think about it too much. It was just stressful, and he honestly didn't care nearly as much as people seemed to think he should.
"I'm pretty sure my mother will have a heart attack if I'm not put in Slytherin, though," he answered, briefly entertaining the idea of writing home to inform his mother that he was a shiny new Hufflepuff. That brought another small smile to his face, before he snapped out of it. "What about you? Have you given it any thought?"
