"No, I'm sorry I don't." Jayden whispered. "Are you familiar with Wizards Chess?" She asked. "Perhaps we can play that to pass the time until the rest of this lot wakes up?"
"Sorta, but do we have a board or pieces?" Samuel said quietly.
Caroline made her way toward the back of the train. She had just gotten back from California with Kita the night before. Still being a bit tired, she wanted to find a compartment closest to the back so she could sleep. Which that obviously wasn't going to happen with the loads and loads of students in the back. Most of them seem to be first years. Why in the name of Merlin were there so many of them? Attack of the first years. Perhaps her and her fellow seventh years would already have to put them into their place.
Sigh
She would just would just have to settle for the next compartment that she could get into empty or not. There was no way she'd start walking back toward the front now. She found a compartment, finally she hoped that it was empty or a no one that she knew. Pulling the door open she realized that the compartment was nearly full of seventh years, Slytherins and Gryffindors. She got that feelong you get when you walk in on something you wish you didn't see. She looked around the compartment. Not really knowing what to say or do. "Oh, hello everyone." Even thought she had never actually talked to Evelyn, and the other boy well she didn't know who he was, then there was Marilyn and Josh who she did know. Why did she start to feel like a fifth wheel? This was awkward.

Laurie and her twin sister Harvest spent too much time at the carnival and had to hurry to get to the Hogwarts Express. "we could have missed it" Laurie called back to Harvest who was following close behind her. They found an empty compartment in the back and settled in. "This is sooo exciting" she said to her sister, her eyes beaming! "Hogwarts! can you believe it sis, we are finally going!"

O.o
Caroline?! Oh great...Wait...
Smirking, she looked to the girl, not at all ashamed that she was about to create an opportunity for escaping the tension. "Why, hello...Would you like to sit down?"

James snaps out of the daze he has been in (and can you blame him One Boy with Three almost Four Girls) and realizes that he just asked if she remembered him without even giving her (or them) his name.
"My name is James Willow" he announces with some courage (and a little sqweek too)
"I am still a bit new to everything that's going on. You see I have been living with my mother who is a Muggle with no knowledge of this magical world. My father is the one who was the wizard. Right around the age of 5 I displayed a certain ability with plant life. My father knew straight away that I had a gift as well. So he left to train Dragons in Romania to cover the costs that would be involved with going through school. But I knew nothing of this until my uncle with whom I just met showed up to deliver the news and my Hogwarts letter."
He pauses noticing that he has somewhat monopolized the conversation.
"Are you all from magical families too? I am sorry I have been quiet for so long. I have been a little stunned in the presence of three lovely ladies." He gives a smile and a wink to Jesifur.
"Nice to meet you, James! I'm Adanna Patching. Oh . . . you know that. Sorry. All the same, it's nice meeting you." Adanna replied with a grin. "Ah, I'm the same! Muggle mother and wizard father, I mean."

Jesifur knew boys were odd sometimes, but James seemed downright dazed.
"The other girl, Boon, just ran off for tea." Jesifur explained.
"No, he's a he. Although his name does seem to confuse most who meet him. I suppose it does sound a bit like it'd be a girl's name." By this time, Toffee had crawled into Adanna's bag, only his tail flicking outside of it. Adanna reached into it and pulled out a bag of Muggle jellybeans. She offered some to the others as she tried to think of some conversation.
Returning to her magazine wasn't an option at this point, unfortunately. This had totally caught her by surprise. Staring ahead at Josh and Eve, Marilyn tried to block out the fact that Rafe was sitting there.
"*cough* So, that looks like a new kitten? What happen to the one you were bouncing on your bed last term?"
HA! Crisis averted...for now.
Marilyn seemed...tense? Okay the cold shoulder routine was a little odd. Seriously?! He did save her life...twice now. Rafe rolled his eyes. Rafe then followed her eyes. Was that a cat?! Ugh, Rafe didn't really like cats. It was that side of him that made him more of a fan of his half-self. "I'm more of a dog person." He chuckled. "What about you Monroe? How do you feel about dogs?" He raised an eyebrow and was hoping to get a legendary Marilyn reaction.

Yes, no wonder the cat was going to survive yet could the fact that Evelyn thought Bertie Bott beans were gross be a problem? Eh...no. He doubted that this was any problematic enough to cause troubles within their relationship yet chocolate on the other hand...he could not be so sure of that. The Gryffindor took a breath and opened his mouth to comment about her not favouring the idea of taking the risk of the beans when something...weird...just happened randomly...
Huh?
Josh did not move even a bit yet his senses were all open to react to a sudden danger when the door of the their compartment was suddenly opened and someone just, literally fell inside. Well...someone falling down could supposedly not be the sign of danger approaching and seeing the person was Rafe lowered the possibilities of danger to zero, of course. Nevertheless, he took the advantage of the moment of Evelyn jumping on him and wrapped his arms around Evelyn so she could feel safe.
Stumbling over things, huh? ''I think just trying to keep yourself away from bloodthirsty compartment doors would work, mate'' Bahahahahhaha. ''They want all of us to perish.'' Now was not that dramatic. Muggles could even make a movie about that: Wild compartment doors running around and trying to take over the world.
Eh?
On the other hand, the Gryffindor had realised that it had been quite a long time since the time he had seen his housemate last. So, his thought was to ask what he had been up to during all this time just when he heard call his girlfriend something 'Daiselyn'. Whaaaaaaaaat?? What was that? Even thought they happened to be his friends no one could call his girlfriend....special names and...definitely no one could wink at her. Setting bushes on fire?? What was he talking about??!!!
However, since he could not just walk over and attack a friend for doing those, Josh tried to hold the urge inside himself yet he was certainly unable to hide the very displeased look on his face as he looked away from all of them...and out the window.
Yea...he totally had forgotten about the now totally revealed chocolate frog.
Rafe grinned as he looked back and forth between Josh and Evelyn. Oooh...that look Josh was giving him said a thousand words...and a lot of those words, Rafe imagined, weren't pretty. "Calm down there mate." Rafe put his hands up as if he was surrendering. "Just having a bit of fun." He could sense Josh's heart beating a little more fiercely. "We wouldn't want you to go into cardiac arrest or something. I mean we're not even at school yet." Rafe grinned. "I'm sure she's in good hands."
Rafe reached in his pocket and pulled out a couple of butterbeers. He got that shrinking spell down that's for sure. He handed one to Marilyn, Evelyn and Josh. If they didn't want it oh well, they could go right back into his pocket. He raised his bottle, "I always thought that there was this one perfect person for everybody in the world, you know, and when you found that person the rest of the world kind of magically faded away, and, you know, the two of you would just be inside this kind of protective bubble, but there is no bubble, I mean if there is you have to make it, I just think life is more than a series of moments, you know, we can make choices, and we can choose to protect the people we love, and that’s what makes us who we are and those are the real memories....so this is to the happy couple and to the memories to come!" Rafe then took a sip and gave Marilyn a nudge. Okay, that kind of came out of nowhere and they were probably going to look at him like he was crazy, but he also wanted to give Josh a little bit of an assurance that he had NO interest in Evelyn.

...And Rafe just did this whole love shpeel in front of a complete stranger. Well, the least he could do was give her a butterbeer as he stood up, reached into his pocket and handed Caroline one. "'Ello, I don't think we've ever been introduced," he smiled. "The name's Rafe Lycaon." He moved back so she could take a seat. It was only proper to offer a lady his seat.

Caroline looked around at the goup again, before her eyes darted to a voice that spoke first, Marliyn's. Her blue eyes scanned her cousin, as she asked if she wanted to sit down. Thinking about how much more arkward it could get. She shrugged slightly. "Okay, sure." But she wasn't sure if she was sure.
And then the boy that she didn't know introduced himself. With a small smile as he offered a butterbeeer "I'm Caroline Scott. Nice to meet you." As she took the seat that he offered to her.
"Everyone's summer good?" She addressed the group so if someone wanted to respon they could. This was definitely more awkard then the two weeks in Africa with a guy the confessed his feelings to her and her not knowing what to think about it. Yep that was even worse the that.

"At least your parents got used to it. As for the rest of your family I'm sure their jealous and shocked its a lot to take in because for most muggles, magic is just an illusion they don't know its real." Chelsea said. "Yeah I always knew I was a witch. I come from a pureblood wizarding family so I was born with magical abilities. As for growing up I was surrounded by magic all the time. It was always used for everything from cleaning to transportation by apparating to places. We also had a house elf which are like servants who cook or do anything you ask them to do. My parents were very powerful wizards they just used magic for all the wrong reasons."
"Yeah, it took them a few weeks to accept it but they did. I wish I could say that the rest of my family is just shocked but they aren't. My parent's asked them once, last week, if they were and they said they weren't shocked. They did say, however, that they don't like me and they think of me as evil. There are quite a few religions in the muggle world that promote magic ,and anything that is magical, as evil. My mom thinks they just don't like anything that is different because this wouldn't be the first time that they have said mean things about or even to me." Temperance says
"That's so cool, I mean the growing up surrounded by magic part. What does a house elf look like? I don't think I ever saw one in Diagon Alley." she says. "There is a line from a well know muggle movie that my parent's said to me after we had found out I was witch. It is 'With great power, comes great responsibility'. I like to think they told me that to remind me that I have to control my actions and to be careful because of the responsibility that comes with being magical and being able to do magic. I can imagine that being able to do magic means you can do all kinds of powerful things, but you have the ability to control what you do and you can decide if you want to the right thing or the wrong thing." Temperance says. "Sorry if that seems offensive but that's just the way I look at things." she adds softly.
Harvest was lucky to have such a responsible twin! "I cant believe it either! WE ARE GOING TO HOGWARTS!!!!!!!!" She shrieked! jumping up and down in her seat.

Okay,so this was her last chance to find some of her friends or even an empty compartment.Where was her boyfriend anyway? They had lost eachother on the plaform.Too many people. But actually Fee had expected to find him somewhere.Meeeh.Walking around, pulling her trunk with her the blonde watched out for he friends. Why did they seem to hide?!Or was she too early?Or even too late.
As the Slytherin was about to get frustrated she walked by an empty compartment.Ohhh finally.Sighing the blonde opened the door and got in.Now the only thing the fourth year had to do was finding her friends and having some fun during the ride.Hehe.
Now all Hugo needed to do was to find his girlfriend. He had been looking in every compartment since the front of the train to find her, he was beginning to think she had vanished off the train. Yet there she finally was. In a compartment in the back. He hopped over and quickly slided open the door to see her pretty face again. "Helloooo pretty lady," he said and jumped on a seat across from Fee. "Did I mention you look beautiful?" he said not so much to be a flirt but because he genuinely meant it. He pulled his legs up to the seat. "Sorry about my parents. They aren't usually this... Annoying... To other people," he said and nodded. He wondered what Fee's parents were like. He had only met her brother now.
"Yeah, it took them a few weeks to accept it but they did. I wish I could say that the rest of my family is just shocked but they aren't. "Thats horrible I don't understand how family could be so cruel but I know what you mean. If my parents were to see me today I know for a fact they would call me a filthy worthless blood traitor using those exact words. Even when I lived with them they never were too interested in what I did unless it involved being like them" Chelsea said. She felt like she could trust Temperance so she decided to tell her where her parents really were. "That is true magic comes with great responsibility but some wizards are in it all for the power. My parents were an example of that. They practiced the Dark Arts and were very good at it. I remember being very young and seeing multiple dark objects in our house such as an opal necklace that if you touched it would kill you. I'm not sure if you know but the Dark Arts is something very illegal in the wizarding world basically its magic made to harm others. Mostly it was performed by pureblood wizards who thought they were better than anyone not pureblood. The reason I live with my aunt and uncle is because when I was 9 a few aurors showed up at my parents home their like the police of the wizarding world they search for dark wizards. And they went straight for my parents two of them apparated out of our home with them and one of the aurors took me to my aunt and uncles the next day I was told that they had been taken to Azkaban for killing 3 muggles using the killing curse" Chelsea explained. She was feeling very emotional. "I tell my self everyday I will never be like that I was lucky to be raised mainly by my aunt and uncle who are the complete opposite and don't judge people based on blood purity." Chelsea was nervous what Temperance would think being muggle born. Chelsea never cared about blood purity most of her friends were muggle born or half and half.

Marilyn tensed as Rafe nudged her, the skin contact having an immediate effect. Being too close to him was dangerous...and not something Marilyn needed at the moment. She was trying to talk to Carter...Rafe simply refused to make it easy for her...
But minutes later, he was standing so Caroline could take his place. With his arms safety three feet away, Marilyn could breath a sigh of relief. He'd said something about dogs...but the blonde was too busy trying to avoid eye contact with him to notice.
"It's nothing against you, Josh..." Had she made a mean face at him? That wasn't the intention. Rafe was just...being Rafe...
Where in the name of Merlin is Carter?!
Caroline was asking about their summers...With Rafe standing right there, how was she suppose to say anything? She most certainly didn't want to make things worse...or hurt his feelings too bad...Not to mention this was Carter's EX-GIRLFRIEND asking...How awkward was it going to be to tell her that she'd spent all summer with him, laying on the beach, eating romantic dinners, hanging out with his family...
Ugh, whatever...What do I care?
*cough*"I, um, had an amazing summer." Marilyn bit her lip, thinking about Nahoon Beach and those ridiculous sea shells she and Anya had found. Carter had not been any help...just laughed at them. "I was in very good company." The smirk came before she could stop it.

"Oh, I do hope I enjoy being at Hogwarts. I don't want to be miserable for seven years!" she paused for a moment. "You think so? Oh I don't know. Surely everyone must already be so good at magic if they've been around it their whole lives."
It would be awful if she couldn't do a single thing and everyone else could. Her new wand felt completely foreign in her hand.
"No, I haven't read about it. What is it?" Olivia was interesting in finding out any information she could. "I started reading a book when I sat down but didn't get very far. The founders are Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw and Salazar Slytherin, right?"
" Oh, you will never be miserable at HogWarts"William told her." Everyone is at a different level of magic during all the years" William said to her." The Whomping Willow is a crazy tree ad yes you got all the founders right" William explained to her.

"Yeah it is horrible. The sad thing is I'm used to it, I would get bullied for being different in school. I mean I didn't dress like everyone else, or like the same kind of music so I would get teased for it. That is really horrible that they would call you that just for not being like them. You shouldn't be expected to be like something you don't want to be." Temperance says "There will always be people who are in something for the power. Yeah I read a little about the Dark Arts in the defence book, it seems to be sorta like the Force, which is from a very popular muggle movie series. Well on the pureblood wizards looking down on those who aren't pureblood, I think every society has had it struggles with problems similar to that. America definetly has. Okay, do they just search for dark wizards or they do other things?" she asks. "Is Azkaban a prison? I mean it sounds like it is."
"It's a good thing that you were raised by your aunt and uncle, as your parent's don't sound like very nice people. You aren't like your parents, Chelsea, remember that and you don't have to follow in their footsteps; it's your life do with it as you wish, be the person you want to be. There is a quote by a singer from a band that I'm a fan of, his quote is actually my motto 'Believe in who you are and never let them take you alive'. I've always felt that means, never let anyone change you into someone or something you don't want to be, and if they try to, then you fight them." Temperance says looking at Chelsea with a friendly smile. "Given that you are being raised by people who are the opposite of your parents means, to me at least, that you probably never will end of like them because of the positive influence that your aunt and uncle provide. I can't even imagine what it must have been like for you before you went to live with your aunt and uncle but I'm glad you did, even if the situation that led to that happening wasn't the best." she says "I take it blood purity is a pretty big deal?" she asks.
