Making strange faces during apparition wasn't considered failing, but the way the girl patted her head, had Katherine looking twice at the girl. Jotting down a few notes, she nodded. "Alright then, just fill out the form and leave it with me and you may go. You'll be contacted by owl with either your apparition license or a note that you'll need to retake the practical portion."

Ah, this girl seemed to know what she was doing. She must have experience side-along. "Very well. Just fill out this form and you'll be contacted by owl with either a license or a note to reschedule for another practical exam."

Oh so there WERE boys sitting for their Apparition test! For a moment, Katherine had maybe thought that Hogwarts had become separated by gender with all the females she'd tested so far.

Nodding and jotting down some notes next to Treyen's name, she also took note of the lovely wide smile. "Right then, just fill out the form and turn it back into me. You'll be contacted by owl with either your apparition license or a note to reschedule." Though if one could pass with simply a smile, this boy would have about a gazillion passes. Heh.

Ah, a latecomer. No matter though. "Whenever you're ready, come on over and apparate into one of the hoops. Then disapparate and apparate to a different spot outside the hoop. If you splinch or miss the hoop, you fail and you'll need to retake the practical." Good? Good.

Timber blinked when he realized the lady was talk to him as well as several others that were still waiting. As a few other students went before him Timber quickly reminded himself of theimportant details then once it was his turn he closed his eyes focusing on the empty hoop he was aiming for.

with a single loud *POP* Timber appeared inside the hoop he hesitated before opening his eyes hen looked down to find he was in fact inside the circle like he was suppose to be. he quickly looked himself over and was relieved to find he was all there. Okay now he had to just successfully disapparate from the hoop, the 3 d's and focus he reminded himself there was another *POP* and he was back outside the circle he checked himself over once more and again was glad to see everything was as it was suppose to be.

It was the moment of truth now. Well at least that's what it felt like to Mina as she walked over to the area where the practical portion was being held. The written part was over and now she just had to apply what she knew and show that she could do it.

Find an empty area, she waited to be called. There was already a number of students gathered. Hearing a group of names called, she bit her lip. It appeared that she just might be waiting a while, she started to get a bit nervous again.

She hadn't really wanted to go in the first group, but waiting would probably just end up making her nervous.

Focusing her eyes downward, she just kept thinking about the 3 D's and about how great it would be to have her license this summer. With those thoughts in her mind, she waited.

Hearing the instructor speaking to her Mia, pushed off the wall and walked over to where the instructor was while focusing on her three 'D's.' She stopped about six feet from the hoop that the instructor had indicated and taking a deep breath, she centered herself and fixed her determination on reaching her destination inside the hoop that was six feet away. With that firmly in her mind, Mia moved turned on the spot with deliberation.

There was a faint popping noise and everything went black as she disappeared from her spot. And then there was that nauseating feeling of that compression and not being able to breathe. She reappeared a second later inside the hoop, gasping slightly. That was going to take some getting used to. It wasn't exactly in the centre of the hoop, more to to the right edge but at least she was inside the hoop.

Now for the next part. Disapparating outside of the hoop. Mia looked around and picked a spot to disapparate to. When she found one, she looked at the instructor. "I'm going to appear beside you." Just so the woman knew exactly where she was focusing on. She took another deep breath and with her mind firmly fixated on her 'determination,' 'destination' and 'deliberation.' She turned on the spot again.

With another small pop, Mia disapparated out of the hoop and reappeared right beside the instructor. A little out of breath and a bit wobbly on the legs but she smiled all the same.

She had done it!

Right?

Was she...allergic...

"Oh. Erm..." Raising a brow, she looked down to the chocolate in her hand. "Yes." Yes? "Yes, I am." Glancing back up to the Ministry lady with a slight apologetic smile on her face, she gave a little shrug of her shoulders. Well, that wasn't a complete lie. Not that it mattered anyhow. Might as well be allergic to it.

Standing up, she hesitated for a moment before handing the chocolate bar back. Eh, Ms. Spades wasn't going to get all defensive, was she? "Thank you though. I'm feeling much better anyhow." Nothing a quick cup of tea couldn't fix. Hopefully. And, she could write that little slip thingy now couldn't she? Proving that she wasn't an epic failure? Yup, she thought so.

Katrina watched, pleased that each one had gone through each hoop easily and smiled at all of them. "Congratulations," she said, looking at all of them happily. They all deserved some chocolate or something, that was what kids liked to eat right? Everyone loved it. "You've all passed the examination!" she said in a happy voice, she was just as excited about this as they seemed to be.

"So, what's next, Miss Salazar, is the three of you filling out this simple form," she said, passing them each one, "return it to me, and you'll be notified by owl whether you passed or you failed. In the event that you failed the examination, you will have to reschedule to take the test again, if not, you'll have your license with your owl," Katrina finished.

Oh, look, another person had successfully completed the examination. That was definitely good. Especially with no splinched parts. Katrina smiled at the boy and handed him a form. "Good job, all you have to do is fill out this form and return it to me before leaving. You'll either receive an owl with your license or an owl allowing you to retake the practical portion of the examination," Katrina said coolly before glancing around again.

Katrina looked at the girl who had just entered with a smile. She looked quite nervous about it or something of that sort. "Once you're ready, Apparate into a hoop, then Apparate out of the hoop into another part of the room. If you splinch or fail to do so, you'll have to retake it," Katrina said, before her eyes wandered around to see who else had finished it. Besides, it was a very simple process.

Grinning at the woman, TJ took the form, she was about to turn and fill it out when the she said incase they hadn't passed. Wait, didn't she just say they all passed? Why would they now not pass? Confused, she still went to the side and started filling it out.

Finishing filling it out she returned to the instructor, not sure if she should turn it in to her directly or put it aside since she had moved on to another student.

People were apparating here, people were apparating there. People were apparating EVERYWHERE!

Destiny couldn't even focus on just one person, for the moment she blinked her eyes, they were gone. And when she realized that they were only moving to the inside of the hoop, they were gone from that as well! She was glad that she kind of already knew what she had to do. Because if she needed to watch those people, she would definitely fail.

Shaking her head clear of those thoughts when it was her turn to apparate, she instead closed her eyes and focused on wanting to be inside of the hoop. Destination. Determination. Deliberation. she repeated over and over in her head before turning on the spot.

The small popping noise was the last thing she heard before THE WORLD DISAPPEARED, and only when she felt her feet back on solid ground did she open her eyes. The first thing she did was feel the top of her head to make sure that she still had her hair, and sure that she did, she glanced down. She had both legs, that was good. Her feet were connected to those legs, and if she wiggled her toes, she could feel all ten of them. But the best thing? She was inside the hoop! Right there, right in the middle! "I did it!" she said, raising both arms, hands and ten fingers over her head.

Yes, she was excited! And she still had to apparate one more time. Lowering her arms, Destiny closed her eyes again, focusing on the spot right next to the hoop. With another pop and the world disappearing again, she felt both feet touch the ground and opened her eyes. Eyes cast downward, she grinned as she realized she was in the exact spot she wanted to be and after checking to make sure she was all there, she raised her arms over her head again.

"I did it!" Which meant she passed. Right!?

Bliiiiiiiiink!

It was time for them to Apparate? Really? They were going to vanish and reappear now?

Okay, that shouldn't have been surprising seeing as her fellow seventeen year olds were already apparating. Merlin, look at them GO! They were doing sooo well! How was she going to be able to keep up with that?

... WHAT IF SHE SPLINCHED HERSELF?!

No. She couldn't think that. She hadn't even splinched herself before, who's to say it'll happen now? Positive thoughts were needed. Yes yes. And so, Kita closed her eyes and tried to rid her mind of anything else but the three D's: Destination, Determination, Deliberation.

Destination... She had to get into that hoop! Determination... Er... she just had to? Deliberation... Grace and poise and MOVE!

Concentration as hard as she could, Kita turned around on the spot. A faint POP filled her ears as she felt herself vanish from one spot and... she took a small peak of her surroundings. Wait... was she...?

SDGFSJGHJ SHE WAS HERE! IN THE HOOP! YAYY!

Kita grinned as she looked down and around her. Teehee! She had done it! Except... now she had to do it all again and reappear somewhere outside the hoop. Anywhere? So they were spoilt for choice about where to apparate off to? Right. She was going to apparate to... that spot there!An empty spot that was right in front of her but a little way away from the hoop. Okay. This seemed... feasible.

Three D's time... Destination... She was going to that spotty spot place! Determination... SHE WAS GOING TO DO THIS! Deliberation... Calm and ready and TIME TO TURN!

Kita closed her eyes once again and turned on the spot. And... she felt her feet hit the solid ground. YAY! She had done it again! Twiiiiiiirl! This felt sooo good! Kita smiled as she stood there and waited. What... to... do...

Still grinning, Ellie took the form and plucked a quill out of her robes pocket. Her hands were shaking from excitement, but she managed to calm down enough to write smoothly on the form.

Once Matt told that he had completed the practical exam, he couldn't help but grin; all those nerves were for nothing.. huh his girlfriend was right after all but as he had seen the form that Miss Rayne had handed them, he quickly grabbed a quill and then filled it out; this was what could be turning into his license. Oh that definitely would be awesome. But, he hoped that he didn't get an owl saying he had to retake the practical at the Ministry.. that would not have been fun since he'd probably run into his cousin in the process.

Handing the form right back to the Ministry woman, he politely nodded at her before heading back towards the the exit and he just felt like dancing around now; obviously he had a reason to be happy. This was all over, hopefully. Now waiting to see if he actually got his license, that was a whole other issue all together.

Stepping forward Jai, closed his eyes as he listened to the instructions. Taking a deep breath, he calmed himself and was ready to go.

He went over the three D's and opened his eyes. He focused on the hoop and with a loud pop, he disapparated from where he stood and apparated into the hoop. He swayed a bit but regained his balance. Shaking his head he looked up with a very serious expression that exploded into a grin.

The grin disappeared almost as quickly as it came. He now focused on getting out of the hoop in one piece. Jai spotted Kita and with an inward grin he disapparated with a loud pop and apparated right behind her."Boo." he whispered in her ear as he stepped around her to stand next her, with a wide grin on his face. He didn't splinch himself nor did he miss the hoop. Weeks of studying and practicing finally paid off.

He'd better not have to reschedule.

The beaming Prefect nodded once at the Ministry woman and took the form from her. It only took him a while longer to write it since he had no idea which address to write down for this summer. He supposed his grandparents' place would be his best bet, so, Dorset it was.



Now, that was done. He handed over the piece of paper to the Ministry woman...Miss Spades, was it? And...he was free to go, right?

So, he was not late.

Apparently not since the woman she had said so. Plus, as he waited, more people walked in minutes after he did. Since they were not late either, it was technically impossible for him to be late. Smart, huh? Hehehe...

While he waited his turn, the Gryffindor watched the people who apparated carefully. Eh...since they all seemed to be able to deal with it, he could do it too right? It was true that he was neither nervous nor excited but it did not mean that he was sure of himself about it. He knew he was not the best of his class when it came to performing most magic so it was okay for him if he happened not to be able to pass this. It was no problem at all. He could always go and try again as the woman had said plus he liked the muggle ways of transportation.

When it was finally his turn, Josh nodded at the women a bit and stared at the hoop he was supposed to apparate in. Okay. Now, focus Josh Carter. Focus like you do with the happy memory to cast a patronus. Destination, Determination and Deliberation. Destination; inside the hoop. And the rest...he thought he had them at hand.

*POP*

As the room around him disappeared, he experienced an unpleasant feeling like some pressure on his whole body. Literally pressure. And when he opened his eyes, he found himself still in the classroom but on a different spot. Before he could check if he was in the hoop though, he checked himself too see if he was missing any body parts. Well...he seemed to be fine and his nose was in its place too. Good good. And finally he looked down the floor...YES! There was the hoop. He was standing within it.

Now to apparate to a different spot. But of course, before he did so, he waited for a minute or a little more for the nausea to go away. Eh...he hoped it was not going to feel that way every time because he did not want to throw up on his destination right after apparating there.

Alright. Now to choose another spot. Looking around, his dark brown eyes stopped at one of the windows. Raising his hand a bit, he asked for attention first ''Madam'' then he pointed at the window ''I'll apparate right in front of that window.'' And once the destination was chosen and settled, the lion boy focused himself on the three D's again.

*POP*

The discomforting pressure and the nausea it caused were present to annoy him again and when he opened his eyes, at first he thought he was at the wrong spot...till he realised the window was right behind him, of course. Once he saw it, Josh let out a slight sigh of relief despite the nausea. It was bound to go away in minutes anyway.

YES!

Marie had passed the exam and was now going to be able to aparate where ever she wanted to go. That is once she got that little piece of paper that says she passed.

WAIT!

What did she mean they would be notified whether they passed or you failed? She just told them they passed. Eh whatever. Marie knew she did well so there was no way she was going to fail this one.

Taking one of the forms she filled it out. "Have a great day" she said as she handed the form back over to the woman. She didn't wait for a response, she just left the room. She had other things to do today... like maybe a NEWT or two.

Hearing a voice, Mina looked up. It was time for her to give it a try. She knew that she should of practised before she came in to the exam, but her nerves just wouldn't allow her to do it. Having a good at it before would have just acted to make her more nervous and she would have surely splinched herself. Splinching herself was just not an option for her.

Taking a deep breath and then slowly exhaling, she thought about the 3 D's again. Destination, Determination and Deliberation Repeating them over and over in her head, she moved back a bit more from the hoops and set her sights on one that was about 2 metres away from the place she was standing. Focusing on the centre of the hoop, she had her destination and she needed to get there in one piece, there was her determination.

Turning on the spot, she inhaled right before she felt the sensation of being squeezed in the middle and the sound of a cracking pop. The sensation began in her stomach and soon it felt as she was being pushed through a narrow space and she couldn't feel the ground below her.

In that moment, she kept hold of her being inside the hoop. She envisioned her self there in one piece unharmed in anyway. Feeling the ground below her again, she opened her eyes; which she didn't even realise she had closed and blinked.

She wasn't where she was before, she knew this. Looking at her feet, she knew she was inside the hoop now. Looking behind herself, she counted just how many hoops were there and nodded. Yes, she was in the hoop she wanted. Again she looked down at her feet. She wasn't completely in the middle of the hoop, but she was inside. What was a few inched left of centre really.

Turning slightly to the right, she spotted a clear place to go next. Destination, Determination and Deliberation. Picturing herself there, she took another breath and turned on the spot. This time with a softer pop, she disapparated from inside the hoop and apparated about a metre away, where she had pictured herself just moments ago.

Looking down at herself, she checked to see that she was all there. She just wanted to make sure. She felt all there, but she just needed to make sure.

She had made it from her original spot to being inside the hoop, then from inside her hoop to across the room. That was what she needed to do, wasn't it?

Timber let out a sigh of relief when he was handed the form to fill out


Once the form was filled in properly he returned it as he was told to.

Salander eyed the hoop intently. That was the goal, the destination. In the hoop. IN the HOOP. He clenched his fist and felt his whole body tighten up as he readied himself. I want to be IN the hoop. I HAVE to be IN the hoop. he repeated over and over in his head. Then his draws in his breath-- and turns on the spot....

A deafening CRACK echoes across the room, and Salander lurches forward, nearly losing his balance as he reeled from that bizarre sensation. Flailing his arms to keep himself from toppling over he realized something-- the hoop. Its right THERE. He could see the edge of it. And his foot was touching the inner curve... he was inside the hoop?

HE WAS INSIDE THE HOOP! WOOT!!

Still hunched over he twisted around to look at where he came from. It was nice and clean, nothing left over that looked liked it belonged to him. Heaving a big sigh of relief he straightened up to look at the Apparition testers, then gave them a double thumbs up in glee.

Ok first part down. He had to get out of the hoop next. Apparate himself OUT of the hoop. He returned his gaze at the spot he just came from. Yeah he'll pick that, it was nice and familiar. He took a few seconds to focus his attention on that one spot, repeating a slightly different chant in his head OUT of the hoop, ONTO that spot...OUT of the hoop, ONTO that spot...

And he turns....

Another CRACK echoes across the room as he apparated slightly further back from where he started from. He braced his foot behind him, this time trying to keep himself from toppling backwards. Hoop is over THERE. And he is over HERE. And hoop is nice and clean. He checks himself all over-- he is nice and whole. He leaps into the air as he makes a whoop in his apparent success. He got it! He passed right?

When he was told to come forward to fill in the form he scribbled down his details and handed the parchment back to the Apparition testers. "Thank you Ma'am" he said with an apparent exuberant smile and a slight nod, then made his way out of the room.
