Tapping her housemate on the shoulder, she grinned. No need to scream, Elise knew too.

"You allergic? Me too." she said softly, pulling out one of the vials of a light pink liquid in her robes pocket. "I have a potion that helps with mine, it should work for you too! I have more in my trunk, too." Yeah... sometimes, she ate chocolate without realizing until... it was symptom time.

Bowing her head a little, she turned to face Professor Lafay. "That is, if you don't mind, Professor?"

Elise had to drink her other vial too, or she'd be having some pretty severe allergic reactions. The itch behind her left ear was becoming rather unbearable. Unable to resist, she rubbed it a little, causing it to sting slightly. Better for it to sting than to itch.

It may have taken a moment for her to notice. And once she did...

Grin.

"Professor." she greeted, having already a very good idea on why Lafay was standing right there in front of her table... smile-less. Lowering her quill, her own grin faded as she lowered her gaze to the petit four in front of her. Lafay couldn't possibly expect her to eat chocolate! It went against all her tries at getting rid of the sweet. Yet Evelyn couldn't ignore the less than happy expression. Eat the little thing, or risk the consequences.

Picking up the petit four, she put it in her mouth and stared at the Professor. Happy now!?

Beatrice quickly turned around as someone tapped her shoulder. She has allergy too? "Oh." She muttered. As much as she wanted to entertain her classmate, she did not want to start something that would cause Lafay to send glaring daggers at her..or them. And by that, she meant the excessive talking.

Sure, not everyone had that kind of allergy because many..almost all children love chocolate. And now she had found one that like her does not..or cannot. "It's fine you know, I also have my own. It's just that I'm not sure how long this class would last." And if it was going to run for an hour then good luck to her.

Marie smiled back at Matty when he sat down. "You better be happy to be here." He was with her after all.

Looking at the cake then towards Lafay she seen how the woman was watching Matty as he sat down. Looking back over at Matty she whispered in his ear. "Now I see what you mean about being watched." Not that Marie could blame the woman for wanting to watch Matty, he was rather fine to look at.

Seeing Matty eye that little cake thing she pushed it away from him. "Don't eat anything here. You never know what might be in it."

That stupid little cake was laced with something... and they had to eat it or risk not getting full points. Looking from the cake back to Matty, Marie seriously thought about not eating that thing. It was the end of term and she really didn't care about points anymore. There was nothing Lafay cold do that would make Marie want to eat something that was going to change her appearance... in front of Matty.

Although now the woman was standing in front of the Head Girl looking not so happy. And... now Ev was putting that thing in her mouth?

Really Ev? Just really?

Well there was only one thing she could do... eat that stupid little cake. If Evelyn was eating it then there was no way Marie was going to be able to get away with not eating it. She would never hear the end of it. Of how the girl who HATES chocolate ate some and she didn't.

Picking up the two cakes sitting there on the table she handed one over to Matty. "Maybe we better eat these after all." She didn't want to face Ev later, not to mention face the wrath of Lafay if they refused. Popping hers in her mouth she quickly swallowed it. Maybe if she didn't chew it very much it wouldn't change her too much.

What? A girl could hope couldn't she.

"One's enough, Captain Phillips... let's not be greedy." She said to the boy.

"Sit down Miss Logan. I'm about to start the lesson." She said watching the girl skip.

"I will probably never poison you." she said with a shrug, "...not because I don't want to, but because the paperwork for attempting to poison a student is brutal... I don't like paperwork." She said. "It's merely laced with something."

She rolled her eyes. "Please do not raise your voice in my classroom. I'll remove the chocolate in the cake." She said and tapped it with her wand. "There... now you won't die..." She said sarcastically.

"I do mind... what if the potion you are taking interferes with the one in the cake, or the antidote we are brewing?" She asked. "Think." She said shaking her head and tapping the child's cake to make the chocolate inside vanish.

"Swallow." She said enunciating each letter.

She returned to her desk and tapped the board with her wand and ingredients appeared.

"Judging by the ingredients, can anyone tell me what potion we are brewing as a final?" She asked.

Oh dear. That potion sounded familiar. Though she really hoped that she wasn't right. With a swallow to finish off the sweet, Kourtney raised her hand. "Is that...the boil-cure potion, professor?"

If she'd been smiling before, she definitely wouldn't have been smiling now.

There went her plan of just spitting the cake thing back out when Lafay wasn't looking. Hazel eyes widened a little as she stared at the potions Professor, but finally, she left back up to the front. Reaching up to spit the petit four back out, her hand slumped back in her lap...empty. Well fine. If the Professor was turned around for just a second longer, the Slytherin still wouldn't have had a mouthful of evil potion filled chocolate cake.

Eying the ingredients on the board, her eyes widened even more. If this was the potion she thought it was, than there was no way she would be swallowing. Seriously, she already successfully graduated from the age where she didn't have to worry about any of this! Flashbacks were not welcome.

Luna raised her hand uh oh! ''The cure for boils proffeser,'' she replied flatly

Gideon quietly watched as Professor Lafay dealt with some of the more reluctant students including the Head Girl. And then his attention returned to the front as they were asked what potion was created by the ingrediants now listed on the board.

Snake fangs...dried nettles...Flobberworm Mucus...Only one potion he knew had the ingrediants.

"That would be Boil-Cure Potion, Professor," he answered after raising his hand. Although the answer hardly made him welcome the results of the petit four he had swallowed seeing as it would no doubt be causing the boils the potion would later be curing.

For Ira who knew next to nothing about potions, the ingredients sure looked nasty! Nettles, slugs, flobberworm mucus, snake fangs...gosh!

Ira didn't know what was the potion to be made by using these great ingredients... But it wouldn't be too good, Ira feared. She just hoped that she didn't change into some weird looking animal that's all! But there wasn't much to be afraid of, right? As Professor Lafay had herself eaten one petit four.

Victoria starred at the board. It does look quite familiar..."Is it cure for boil professor?" Victoria replied. Wait, that's for finals? Is she serious?

At least give us a challenge, Victoria smacked her lips silently after swallowing all the cake icings.

Snake fangs...porcupine quills...Flobberworm mucus? Besides each of those ingridiants sounding absolutely disgusting, Auggie wasn't quite sure what potion they would make after bing combined. Quickly peaking at the back of his book he began to look up a few of the ingrediants starting with Flobberworm mucus.

According to the textbook it was a common ingrediant in the Boil-Cure Potion. Raising his hand he braved his answer with the Potions dragon-lady. "Professor, is that the ingrediants list for the Boil-Cure Potion?"

Alyssa looked at the ingredients. They sounded familiar. Then she remembered where she had seen that combination. Her Mom had used them to make a Boil removal potion when Alex her brother had somehow broken out in boils. So Alyssa raised her hand and said" Professor those are the ingredients to make a potion to cute boils"

Listening to her classmates, Sky gulped. Partly to shallow the rest of the cake, partly because she what it would mean if they were right. The cakes had been laced with a potion that would give them boils. What. Fun. Which of course would mean that they HAD to get this potion right or be stuck with the boils. Sky didn't say anything; she sure if she could trust herself to speak.

Kennedy bit the last piece of the petit four and swallowed. Dang, that was good. Now, to pay attention, but soon enough his face was drained from its color. Those ingredients sounded familiar. He raised his hand and said, "It's for a Boil-cure potion." He gulped. Was his face going to suddenly burst out in boils? Was it going to be painful?

Oh gosh, this was not good. He was getting nervous and when he was nervous he didn't concentrate well.

Minerva had seen those ingredients in a book she had in her bag. She put up her hand a little panic in her voice. "Professor it's the potion to cure boils. Is that whats going to happen from eating the cake?"

Salima raised her had and asked 'Professor, are we making a "Cure For Boils"?'

"It's... a boil cure, professor..." Aurora said, staring at the blackboard... And... and the cake was going to change her appearance and... and all her friends were in the room... Kennedy was in the room! What if she got the cure wrong and she was stuck with boils..?! She put her hands to her face to see if any change was happening yet... mmm... nothing she could feel.

Oh Merlin... why did she have to like food so much!!!!????

Zhenya definitely knew that one. Her poor Grandfather had a lot of boils towards the end of his illness. "Professor they are all the ingredients for a cure for boils," she said.

"That would be a cure for boils," Tori answered smugly, rather pleased that she hadn't even touched the petit four now. Poor Evelyn seemed to be suffering over there... tsk tsk, student abuse...

Kurumi FROZE.

Yes, she knew what the list of ingredients was for, but all she could do now was stare at the empty place on her table where her cake had once been. Was she just being ironic? trying to scare the living daylights out of them? No one else had seemed to make this connection as they were all cool as cucumbers, but Kurumi instantly rolled up her sleeves to take a look at her arms. Were they...a little more red than usually? Was she seeing spots? Lumpy? Oh, no, wait, those were just goosebumps appearing because of the sudden exposure to the cold air.

Rolling her sleeves down, Kurumi found that she just couldn't shake the itchy feeling that had now - which also happened when she was really nervous, like before a Quidditch match. "Those are..." gulp, "the ingredients for the Cure for Boils potion." Which was odd that this was for their final since it was a very basic potion.

"It's the Boil Cure Potion," Sierra answered, momentarily forgetting to raise her hand. As an afterthought, or after-action (if there was even such a thing), Sierra raised her hand into the air. As she lowered it, she eyed Bunny, who still hadn't touched the cake in front of her. Sierra smirked. She wished she could spill her finished potion all over that girl.

...and Hollingberry, too. Were they partnering up soon? If so, she called dibs on Hollingberry the Hero.

William raised his hand. " The potion ingrediants are for the boil cure solution" Willaim told the professor.

William shot Minerva re-assuring smile. An everything will be ok smile.

Jonathan finished eating the chocolate cake. Nothing happened so that's really good... right? Besides, it's a nice gesture especially coming from Professor Lafay. She's having a good day, so no one better screw that one up.

As she wrote the ingredients on the board, Jonathan read it one by one. Familiar. Very familiar indeed. Jonathan thought of the ingredients as a whole. Which potion was this again? Something B... Bun, base, be-- Jonathan tapped his fingers on the table as he later realized the potion's name.

He raised his hand "Boil Cure Potion, Professor" he nodded. Interesting though. For Finals that is. Last year they had to do the Polyjuice Potion. So will they be baking a cake and brew the potion today?

*Matty shrugged glad to see that Marie finally noticed what he had been telling her. The potions professor creeped him about a bit... Taking the cake from Marie Matty was tempted to chuck it in the bin. But he knew how much this class meant to her. With another shrug he downed the cake.*
