With no spirit at all, Joshua Carter walked down to the dungeons for his last Potions class ever. He knew he was supposed to be...better since this was maybe going to be the last time he would be able to talk to the Potions Mistress, his very favourite professor in this school, and make good use of it yet he was still unable to get over what had happened even though it had been days and weeks and maybe....what...he could not even tell the time.

Yet the moment he had stepped inside, the sight his dark brown eyes caught made him freeze at the spot. Was Professor Lafay smiling? His eyes got wider, unblinking, when he took two or three steps closer to check. Yes, yes. She really was smiling. It looked like a real smile. Eh...at least someone seemed to be happy. And her being important to him, it brought a little smile on his face too. ''Good day, Professor Lafay'' he said with the smile yet since he did not have the spirits to hold it much it vanished quickly.

Choosing a seat close to Lafay's from the front row, he sat down and...suspiciously eyed the eat me cake thing there. What was going on?

Minerva smiled as she walked into potions. One of her favorite classes. "Hello Professor Lafay. How are you today?" Minerva noticed something like a cake on the professors desk and noticed she was smiling. She sat down in an empty seat.

The only thing that brought Stella back to Potions was the slightly dim hope that they'd be doing something like the last lesson. Developing Wizarding photos was interesting, and certainly hadn't hurt anyone. Well, that hope and the fact that at least she had faith that, as long as she carefully followed every step to the letter, she would maintain her pattern this term of not failing the class. Either way, she was going to make the best of things, and had put a smile on her face as she entered the room.

Only to have her thoughts turn to concern as she saw Professor Lafay. The professor was actually smiling, and she didn't think it had anything to do with happy memories this time. The fear that they were going to be doing something icky or scary again came back, but she tried to keep her smile on her face. Acting skill certainly helped right now. "Hello, Professor Lafay. How are you doing today?," she asked, as she made her way to her usual seat. She just hoped she wasn't about to hear anything that would bring her fear back. Well, anything other than that she was supposed to actually eat that petit four on the table in front of her. She had the feeling she really didn't want to have to do that.

Zhenya was getting upset that it was nearing end of term. She really enjoyed lessons, especially Potions. She just wished she could have more lessons! She walked in and smiled at the professor, because she looked happy. That was nice.

"Hello Professor," she said softly before finding a seat near the front of the class. She looked at the petit fours wondering if and when she could eat one. They looked divine!

Isabelle walked into Potions class excited to find out what potion they were going to make today. Hopefully it would be something fun. Isabelle went to the front of the classroom and sat down at a table in the very first row plopping her bag on the floor. Looking up she saw a...WHAT? Smiling Professor Lafay. This was very rare.

"Good day Professor Lafay," Isabelle said with a grin. "How are you doing?" Isabelle assumed that she was doing good if she was in a good enough mood to smile. Looking at her desk she saw a petit four that said eat me. Now Professor Lafay seemed to be in a good mood, but Isabelle didn't think it would be a wise decision to eat the food. It may be used for the potion in fact, and Isabelle didn't want to ruin her potion by eating the yummy looking petit four that was sitting, very temptingly in front of her.

Aurora smiled warmly at Professor Lafay as she entered the classroom. "Hello Professor!" she said cheerily, taking her usual seat. She glanced at the cake thingy on her desk... hmmm... eat me..? No-one else had eaten one yet... she decided to wait and turned to set up her cauldron and make sure all her things were ready. Sure, she wasn't usually this cheerful in Potions classes - excitable and eager, yes. But cheerful..? But it didn't matter, it was nearly the summer!

Sky was excited. It was almost the end of the school term (and her first year) and she had managed to stay out of trouble since that disastrous start to the school year. She kept that excitement contained as she walked into the Potions classroom. But what she saw surprised her. Professor Lafay was… smiling. Yep, there was no other word for it. And what was that on the tables? Petit fours? Sky hadn't seen those since her mom's last fancy tea party. "Hello, Professor Lafay," Sky said, barely keeping her surprise out of voice in favor of a polite tone. Polite tones were a requirement when petit fours were involved. She found herself a seat and looked at the petit four. Eat me it read. Sky refrained though, choosing to wait until actually instructed to do so by the professor.

Harvey walked into the last Potions class of his first year here at Hogwarts. The first thing he noticed was that the Professor was ACTUALLY smiling, and not a forced one but a real smile. "Hello Professor Lafay, How are you today?" he asked although he didnt need to, it was written all over her face. He then took his seat and looked at the very very tempting petit four that was there in front of him. It said 'Eat Me' he went to grab it, but then he stopped and eyed it suspiciously. He looked around and saw that there were more of them. He didnt trust these tempting goodiness' as they could have been spiked with a Potion, he remembered the incident with Scott all those months ago. So he decided to leave it and be safe than be sorry AFTER he had eaten it. So there it was staring at HIM, telling him to eat it. But he did not give into the tempation and left it, he then waited for the class to begin.

Gideon was certainly ready for the next and last class of potions for the term, a fact his best friend and girlfriend probably regretted seeing as she hated the class as much as he enjoyed it. What they were to be greeted with was an unknown however seeing as the first class was the more moody Lafay and the last class had been a more...cheerful professor.

Reaching the dungeons, he headed to the classroom, stepping inside the open door once he had made it and taking in the site of the room. "Good day Professor Lafay," he greeted looking to the woman when he noticed it. Was she smiling? Gideon shook the image away, he headed towards a desk setting his belongings down on the surface to begin preparing for the lesson. It was then he noticed the baked good on the table with him and with a quick glance around noticed all the tables had one causing him to look back up at Lafay.

Ok was he loosing it? In a dream?

Normally the potions mistress was like his father, her fellow potion maker on one of his badder days and now she was seemingly acting like his mother on baking days. Gideon was feeling a little like being in a mixed up twilight zone and wished one fo his friends would appear and help him understand it all.

Violet was in an excellent mood as she headed to the dungeons for her final class in her very favourite subject--Potions! And taught by her own Head of House, Professor Lafay--oh yes, some might call her over-firm, but she was just exacting and expecting excellence, like a good Slytherin. Violet thought she was brilliant--she hoped she could be half as bright and intimidating when she grew up.

As she walked into the class, she gave her customary "Good afternoon, Professor Lafay," and was halfway to her seat before she noticed the professor was smiling. I mean--she actually looked happy. Well, that was good, Violet thought to herself; better a Professor Lafay in a good mood than a bad one...she supposed. As she settled into her seat and arranged her things for class, she glanced down and saw the tiny square cake, saying "Eat me" Hmm...strange. Hey, that was just like that story from her favourite Muggle book, Alice in Wonderland! But, Violet remembered, things hadn't worked out so well for the girl in the story, who had foolishly just taken a bite out of a strange cake just because it said to eat it. Obviously Alice was not a Slytherin; Violet was going to be more cautious, and wait until someone else took the first bite to see what happened.

Selina walked into the potions dungeon with a yawn tugging on her lips. The night before had been a long one and she was exhausted to say the least. To make matters worse she was hungry. There was no time this morning to get something to eat and she would have to sit through potions hungry. Great. She hated sitting through potions full.

Then she looked around and the room was cheerful. "Um hello professor...". Twilight zone.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoaaaaaaaaaaaa. Tori was like, utterly confused as she walked into Potions and firstly saw the professor smiling and then secondly saw her placing little cookie-like things at all the desks.

"Ummmmm," the redhead drawled, dropping her bag as she sat down and STARED at the dessert thingy, "what's this? Does it have chocolate in it?" Or poison, more likely???

Oooh...pretty cake-looking thing... Victoria immediately thought of the muggle tale called Alice in Wonderland. Didn't they have some tiny cake that labled 'Eat Me' on it that makes you grow? And there is also a bottle of liquid that makes you shrink

Victoria looked around the classroom, as if looking for the missing liquid bottle that would complete the Alice in Wonderland theme. "Good day professor." Victoria greeted after a while. Then taking a seat.

The Gryffindor third year was estatic.

Last potions lesson of the term, it sounded almost too good to be true. Auggie hasn't liked the class from the beginning, what with all of the mutilating dead animal parts and the like. Although his hatred was strengthened after the last lesson when he had a cauldren of contaminated ingrediants dumped over his head by Lafay no less.

Coming into the room, cheerily, the boy looked at the Potion Mistriss and nodded. "Hello Professor, wonderful day isn't it?" Yeah, he would be out of your Psycho presence soon! Then he went over and sat down at a table where the girl he had had the dance lesson with, Stella, was sitting. "Hey there, mind if I join you?"

Then there was cake. Supressing his immediate reaction to eat it, he instead stared at it as if it were going to explode at any minute. He would NEVER eat anything Lafay gave them--anything he could't at least see her make it.

Bag over her shoulder and her hair tied back in a pony tail - a look that had been unusual for the Gryffindor in recent months - Kurumi entered the Potions classroom trying not to let too much of a sigh escape her lips. Potions wasn't too bad when she was studying it with Jonathan. He even made it seem somewhat fun and not frightening...that is, until she looked up at the Potions Mistress standing in front of the class with a smile on her face. That...couldn't be a good thing if she was smiling, could it?

Things were only made worse as she walked to her usual station and saw what was sitting on it. Eat me? No thank you...Kurumi sort of moved it to the side so she could set her things down. "Good day, Professor Lafay," she said with a small smile as she removed her Potions book from her bag and set it beside the suspicious looking cake. The combination of sweets and Dragon Lady smiling made this the most frightening Potions lesson ever.

Kennedy walked to the the Potions classroom. Today he was in a chill mood and as he entered the pastry on the tables made his mood elevate. He loved food and this gesture from Professor Lafay erased half the bad things he's heard about her through out the year. Come on, look at the woman, she was smiling.

That couldn't be bad, right?

Naaaaaaah!

He shrugged that off and took a seat at one of the front desks. "Good day, Professor Lafay," he grinned. Could they eat the pastries? Better wait for someone else to do it and see if it was contaminated with something. Better someone else than him.

Desiree walked into the classroom pausing to say hello to their house head, who was... smiling? Not that there was anything wrong with smiling it just seemed.. well not her. "Hello Professor Lafay" she said returning the unusually cheerful smile. Then she noticed to top it off there were cute little pink cakes on her desk, they looked delicious.. but she'd wait for someone else to try them first.. just to be safe..

She took a seat in the second row back and set down her things. The last potions class of the year.. she thought somewhat sadly to herself. She didn't want the term to end.

Alyssa quickly walked into the Potions classroom. She noticed that there were already students seated at their workdesks, but was glad that the Professor was still setting up the class, so she knew that class hadn't started yet. She walked up to the Professor to greet her, "Hello Professor Lafay. It is good to be back in your class again."

Alyssa then quickly took a seat and noticed that there was a cookie seating on the table in front of her that said "Eat Me". If it had been any other class, like Professor Bentley's or Professor Hadley's, Alyssa wouldn't have had any problems grabbing the cookie and eating it. But since this was Potions class, Alyssa's 'radar' was up. She suspected that there was more than meets the eye in this little cookie that begged to be eaten. So she left it lying on the table.

'Thank goodness, Aaron isn't here, or he wouldn't have thought twice about eating it at all. That guy will stuff anything edible in his mouth.'Alyssa thought to herself. She took out what she needed for Potions class out from her bag and then waited for class to start.

" Hello Professor Lafay" Willaim told her. " I hope you are having a good day" Willaim said to Professor Lafay. " Thanks for the petit fours" William smiled. He ate it. He did not feel anything yet excpet for the sumpttious flavor.

Violet was looking idly around, waiting for class to start, when she saw William, one of her friends, sail right into class and pop that cake right into his mouth without a second thought. How like a Gryffindor! Violet watched him closely to see if anything unusual happened--she was both curious and concerned for her friend. But so far he just seemed to be really enjoying it.

Raven walked to the classroom with a flat smile. It would be the last potion class and it meaned Summer holiday would come soon. She saw a cake there and she didn't want to have it. Maybe Professor Lafay had pour any potion there.

"Good day Professor Lafay." said her calm.

She saw Desiree there. "Hey, Mind If I join you?"

Elise walked into the Potions classroom, the indifferent expression she reserved only for potions on her face... until she looked up and saw Professor Lafay smiling. SMILING! Not a smirk or half-smile. A real smile.

It was sorta creepy, but Elise beamed back. "Hello professor!" she grinned. "How're you today?" She'd assume good, seeing as she was SMILING!

Sitting down at one of the tables, she eyed the petit fours suspiciously. Were they supposed to eat them? Elise suppressed the urge to eat them. The might contain chocolate. Which was baaaaad.

She wasn't going to eat them just yet. Maybe they were spiked... Or they were going to use it in a potion. Eating them... might not turn out good.

Ira entered the potions classroom and lo! Professor Lafay was smiling...really smiling! That was surely a good sign!

"Hello Professor" Ira greeted the professor and went and sat down at the back.

Potions was Marie's FAVORITE class... for more than one reason. Holding Matty's hand she pulled him into the room with her. "Come on Matty. This is the last time we'll get to see this room. You have to come to class with me." She wasn't taking no for an answer here. Heading over towards their table they passed the professor. "Hello Professor Lafay. Beautiful morning isn't it." Glancing around the room she got a huge grin on her face as she reminisced about the last time she was in there.

Taking a seat at her favorite table she spotted the little cake looking things. Right, like she was about to eat that. For all she knew they could be laced with some sort of potion that would make her lose her hair or something.

Glancing towards the professors chair she again started to smile.

Yeah, this was going to be a fun class.
