As Ness heard her best friend's voice her face lit up with a smile. "Lyssie!" she whispered back. "I'd love to." She then got up, packed her stuff and moved over to Alyssa. She gave her bestie a hug and then started taking her things out again. She hoped Alyssa and Penny were good at potions as even though Ness did enjoy the subject it wasn't one of her easier subjects.

Once Ness was done with her stuff she faced the front deciding to be quiet as she knew what Lafay was capable of.

Penny arrived into Potions and noticed Alyssa already sitting down, and Nessie was sitting too - Was she late?

Penny walked quickly through the desks until she came to the desk that Alyssa and Nessie was at... Looking around as she let her bag fall to the floor, she noticed Professor Lafay at her desk..."Good day Professor"

Penny removed her textbook, ink, quill and parchment and got prepared for class to start...

Daisy walked into the classroom, heart beating. She had no idea why she was doing this. She was bound to get detention, yet it would be totally awesome, and worth it if she managed to do it. Hug a Slytherin day, eh? Well she wanted a challenge, and a challenge meant a certian potions professor, even if it gave her what seemed like an eternal detention. She didn't know what brought it on, probably Rose. And it would mean Lafay would hate Hufflepuff even more, but it would be the most funny thing ever, and she needed to do it.
Stepping into the classroom, shaking a bit, Daisy tryed not to look at Lafay or the class. This was the most stupid thing ever. She was heading straight for detention, yet she couldn't stop...

'Hello Professor,' she smirked, walking up to the intimidating teacher, 'did you know that today is a special day?'
Before giving the professor a chance to answer, Daisy threw her arms around Lafay, head of Slytherin house herself.
'Happy Hug a Slytherin Day, Professor,' she grinned, running to her seat before Lafay could recover from shock...

MJ skidded through the Potions' classroom door. She really did not want to be late for Potions!

As MJ recomposed herself, a Hufflepuff hugged the Professor... MJ blinked at her as she rushed past. Was the girl completely Merlin?!!

She greeted her Professor as politely as possible. "Hello Professor Lafay! Avis, my barn owl, sends some more of his feathers," She said, holding out three feathers. Hopefully that would help ease some of the professor's shock at being hugged by a student - if she didn't have time to react before a bunch of feathers were thrust into her face.

MJ turned round to look at the Hufflepuff, goggle-eyed. She was absolutely stir-crazy, MJ thought to herself. Brave though. Crazily brave! MJ glanced pointedly at the owl feathers and winked at the Huffie, as if to say; maybe these will cover you so you won't get detention; you insane being, you!!

Aurora watched this with wide eyes... seriously... was this kid stupid? Sure, Lafay seemed in a better mood today but... wow... Aurora blinked a few times before shaking herself and reaching into her bag for parchment and a quill and ink.

Kita knew she was late. Or kind of late. Heck, she knew she wasn't going to be the first person to walk into the Potions class. Not that she wanted to. Being alone in a classroom with Lafay would be... well... she preferred sitting alone in the snow by the lake.

But she continued to walk instead of running. There was no need to run right? She wasn't TOO late. Just a bit. And she was already tired as it is, running might mean she'd waste her energy trying to get to a lesson.

So Kita walked into the Potions class and smiled. Okay, maybe she was more late than she thought she was. But Lafay... didn't seem to have started the lesson yet. So all was good, right?

"Good day, Professor Lafay," she said, smiling at the potions professor as she passed her desk. Scan classroom... No sign of Caroline. Meh. Kita made her way towards a seat in the middle of the classroom and sat down. She reached into her bag and took out her usual Potions supplies before facing the front again.

Thea saw another student simply staring at the mental girl who had.. hugged.. professor Lafay. Mouth open, she turned to the girl and raised her eyebrows. 'Seriously?' She siad quietly. Madness. Complete madness. 'Wouldn't want to be her..' Thea muttered, as she busied herself with her things.

Alyssa was glad when she saw Penny enter the ckassroom. Good she wasn't late. Alyssa smiled over at her friend, and mouthed "Hello".

Angelina walked into the Potions classroom ready to start the seconds potion lesson of her first year. She was slightly excited. She didn't think she was to bad at potions but not like most people. She didn't know what some of the things they talk about in here are! But she slides past it. Angelina walked over to her old spot from the first lesson and sat down. She took a deep breath and let it out.

Rose smirked as she watched Daisy hug Lafay. 'Nice one, Daisy! That should count as double points!' Rose yelled, grinning at the professor. 'Hello, Professor Lafay! Good day for National Hug a Slytherin day, eh? I'd give you a hug, but I'd hate for the smile you seem to be wearing to leave your face, it looks good there!' Rose beamed at the teacher, before going down to sit next to Daisy.

'If you get a detention, I'm gonna try and get one too.' Rose whispered. She would not let her Hufflepuff friend take the detention by herself. No way, no how.

Was that girl stupid? Or just begging for detention? Sky turned to Wist and asked "Did you just see that? That Hufflepuff just hugged Professor Lafay!" Sky shocked anyone would even think to do that. Well, hope she enjoys her detention and point loss.

Wist whispered back "Yeah, and what is this Hug a Slytherin day anyway?" Wist watched the Hufflepuff in a shocked way, wondering what in the name of Merlins beard she was thinking! Hugging Hecate Lafay randomly like that?????

"I don't know, but if anyone tries to hug me unexpectedly, they are getting hexed," Sky answered. Really, hugs should be reserved for emotional moments. Not given out to people who WOULD hex you.

Harvey was sat in a bad mood being in Professor Lafay's class, but the moment that Minnie came and sat near him his mood improved drastically. He was beaming just like his professor the moment Minnie entered the room and sat down next to him. At least in a way this lesson would not be as bad with Minnie in it. He waited for the lesson to start.

Nessie walked in keeping her eyes on the floor. She quietly sat down at one of the desks and sighed. The last potion kind of hit a sore spot for her she really hoped that she didn't need to use Pixxi as a test subject again. She shuddered at the thought of it.

Potions, if it wasn't for Caroline loving the lesson, and Lafay teaching it she WOULD NEVER attend another lesson again. Sure the polyjuice potion had turned into a mess.... and the hate potion wasn't a big hit. Well it was more of a shove. But anyway here she was going to yet another potions lesson.

Giving Professor Lafay who seemed in a better mood then last lesson, a small smile "Good day, Professor Lafay."

Going over to a workstation where Kita was already there. She flopped down beside her. "Hey girl!" She took out everything that she would need for the lesson. Turning back Kita she smiled. "I got my first letter from Asher with his new owl. He's pretty, he's name his Avis."

India slipped quietly into the Potions lab and made her way to an empty work station. Her note book teaming with all things Potions in her hand, her text book, and her potions making kit.

Setting her things down she looked up towards Professor Lafay where she immediately smiled, and gave a quick wave.

"Good day Professor" she smiled as she turned to begin cleaning the work station. After all Cleanliness was one of the five C's.

Ronnie sighed as she entered the potions class room. It was her first class back since she had with drawn from school for the month or so. She sighed and took a seat at the back of the room, hoping that no one would noticed her.

She wasn't sure how to feel about being back here. Half of her wanted to take off running and the other half was glad she was back. Her life had been turned upside down over the summer and had never really righted itself. She sighed and pulled out a piece of parchment and her quill.

"Good Day Miss Geleto," She said.

"Hello Master Goldstein" She said with a nod.

"It is, Miss Greingoth..." She said giving her a smile.

"Good Morning Miss DeCour," She greeted.

"Hello Master Katharos," she said in greeting.

"Hello Miss Stewart-Quinn," she said to the girl.

"Hello Miss Reed," and she pulled her cauldron out.

"Good day Miss Carter." she said with a nod.

"Good Morning Miss VonHue." She said.

"Good Day Master Gert," She said.

"Hello Master Watson." She greeted.

Hecate waved back, and rubbed her head.

Hecate stood with her arms at her sides rigid as a board. "Get OFF me Miss Tucker. There is no such day! And I do not like being touched."

"Thank you and Hello Miss Cacklesmaw," she told the kid.

"Good day Miss Lewis." She said.

"Rudeness is not tolerated in my classroom Miss Andrews," She said glaring. "You WILL greet me when you enter my classroom."

"NO ONE WILL HUG ME." She said decisively.

"Miss Masen, the rudeness lecture goes to you as well. Greet people when you enter their territory." She orderded.

"Miss Scott, good day." She told her.

"Good Day Miss Johanson," She said to the kid.

"Class, lets start." She said and sat on the front of the desk. "Let's say your dorm catches on fire..." She said and then asked. "and you can take one this out. What would it be?"

Amethyst rasied her hand high. As she did, she gripped the necklace around her neck. The one her long lost sister had given her. "Professor Lafay...I'd take this necklace..." She smiled down at the two snuggling kittens.

Carter thought for a minute about Professor Lafay's question. He was a scout once. He knew all about how you should always have a bookbag ready to go in case of emergency. And this kind of question was one that was asked a lot in muggle schools.

He thought for a moment trying to think of things that were irreplaceable in his dorm room.

And then it hit him. He raised his hand. "I'd take Josh, Professor." he said. Because Carter wasn't sure if his friend would make it out of the dorm by himself if there was ever to be a fire while they were sleeping.

And because the last thing he'd need was Evelyn hunting him down on the night of a fire.

Josh did count as a thing right?

What? They could only take one thing out with them?

Fine.

Marie knew exactly what it would be that she would take out with her. Putting her hand in the air she answered. "I would take my trunk out with me." That's right. Her trunk. It held all her most valued possessions in it... and as a whole it was only one item... with lots of items in it.

She'd also make sure Harley was following her.

What... she couldn't leave her cat behind now could she? And technically if he was following then she wasn't actually taking him with her.

Well that was a blunt way to start off a lesson, and it had August thinking that he should have grabbed more of his stuff and put it in his bag on his way down here. Lafay had better not be torching their dorms right now.

Well besides his wand, which he would have in his pocket to begin with, it was always on his person, he knew what one thing he would get. "Professor, I would get my turtle Bruce. You see he's old and not very fast." Certainly no match for a fire.

Now that..was a really good question. For a few moments, Kourtney sat quietly, pondering over her answer. There were tons of things that she'd like to take, but if it could only be one thing? Her mind wandered over the things that she kept in her dorm room and she tried to sort out the one thing she would keep. I mean, was this assuming they'd have their wand with them at the time of the fire? Because if so, she would take something else. If not, then she'd take her wand.

She raised her hand. "I suppose I have to say...my wand." And with that nifty wand she could summon the rest of her possessions out of the room.

First, he would try to identify the source of the fire, and if it were a dragon, he would would to take that, but that wasn't very realistic. Let's see... If his dorm was on fire and he could only take one thing with him? There were a lot of things he would want to take, preferably everything, but for the sake of participation he would try to narrow it down. He raised his hand. "I would take my cat, Ino, Professor." Of course. He wouldn't leave his cat behind, even for a dragon!
