William took three billywig stingers and dropped them in the moving water in his cauldron..

Lilly grabbed 3 billywig stingers and dropped them in the moving water, carefully keeping the gloves on.

"Okey dokey then." she said quietly to herself, she then made sure her gloves were on securely and picked up three billywig stingers and gently dropped them into the moving water....

Sarah added the vinegar and then put on her gloves. She carefully took three leaves from the Dransul plant and crushed one of them in the mortar. Some sort of liquid came from them. Ew. Acid, she says. She added the three drops of acid from it and stirred the contents in counter clockwise direction thrice. She then added the billywig stringers and saw the changes take place in the solution.

So far, so good. She'd gotten through the Dransul plant part without getting any damage, so Stella was still hopeful the rest of this potion would go well. Plus, she was still hoping it was just photographic solution they were making, in essence, even though some of the ingredients, while they were being revealed, made her a bit curious. Mostly the carnivorous plant, but she didn't know what else might still be revealed. It was Professor Lafay after all. The one teacher she felt like she was pefectly valid in being a bit afraid of, even if some of the others were pretty strict.

At least billywig stingers weren't that crazy. They went into candy, after all, even if candy and developing Wizarding photos didn't really seem like they meshed. She wasn't half as nervous about the stingers, and she picked them up carefully in a still-gloved hand and dropped them into her cauldron, checking on the mixture inside to make sure it was still moving like they'd been instructed. Looked good, or at least what she imagined was what things should look like at this point. As long as the professor didn't find any problems, that was good in her eyes, and she turned her head from the cauldron in order to add to her notes. One never knew when having this recipe would come in useful.

Devomotion Potion - used for developing Wizard photography

Ingredients:

• Water
• 2 cups elf-made wine vinegar
• 3 leaves from a Dransul plant
• 3 billywig stingers

Procedure:

• Thoroughly clean cauldron
• Fill cauldron with water, using Aguamenti charm
• Heat over a low flame
• Add elf-made wine vinegar
• Crush one Dransul leaf in mortar until acid forms
• Add three drops Dransul acid to cauldron with a dropper
• Stir potion 3 times counter-clockwise
• Add billywig stingers while water/potion is still moving

Three Billywig stingers... Aurora took them in her gloved hands and checked that the water in her cauldron was still moving before dropping them in. One... Two... Three. Perfect.

Harvey kept his gloves on and went and got his three billywig stingers and dropped them into his cauldron that was still moving from his stirring. He then waited for further instructions, while looking at what others were doing.

With his gloves still on, Jory took three billywig stingers and dropped them into his moving potion.
While waiting for the next set of instructions, he updated his parchment.

Selina nodded at Lafay's instructions and then looked down at the billywig stingers. Nasty little things... and she had to touch them. Although her hands were safely protected by the gloves she was wearing she was still weary about even picking them up. But she held her breath and dropped them one at a time in moving water.

She closed her eyes as she dropped them in and then she peaked to see if all three of the stingers were in the water. Only two from what she could see. Her eyes scanned around her station to find the other one when she suddenly found it. It was poking her exposed arm just slightly.

Suddenly she smiled a little bit and removed the small tip from her arm. Then she dropped that one in with the moving water. She felt very happy all of the sudden to be in Potions. Lafay needed a hug. There should be pink walls... oh yes, this room needed color.

Hearing the next step of the procedure, Jonathan went back to focus on his cauldron. Keeping his gloves on he took 3 billywig stingers and dropped them into the cauldron with moving water....

PAUSE...

So it has to be moving?

Katrina took her gloves off and kept them in her bag. She then took 3 billywig stingers and dropped them in her cauldron. She scribbled on her parchment.

Billywig Stingers

Procedure
Don't mess this up

1. Clean your cauldron (Scourgify! or manually)
2. Put water in the cauldron
3. Heat it on a low fire (Incendio! or manually)
4. Pour the two cups of elf-made wine vinegar into the cauldron5. Take three leaves of the Dransul.
6. Crush the leaves using mortar until three drops of acid come out.
7. Use dropper to drop acid to your cauldron
8. Stir three times counter clockwise.
9. Put 3 billywig stingers in your cauldron.

Putting her gloves on, Aiden plucks three Dransul leaves and puts one of them into a mortar. Then, she crushes it until the acid comes out from the leaf. Next, she adds the acid into the solution and stir it three times counter-clockwise.

With the solution still circling into the cauldron, looking somewhat like a spiral, Aiden adds three billywig stingers into it.

Violet was still running a little behind because of the scourgify mishap, but not too much--nothing she couldn't handle! She put on her gloves, carefully approached the strangely-shaped plant, and plucked 3 leaves. Returning to her workstation, she scourgified her mortar & pestle (because Professor Lafay seemed to be on a cleaning rant today), dropped in one leaf, and methodically began to crush it with the pestle. After a short while she saw the acid begin to seep out. When she thought she had enough, she pulled her dropper out of her potions kit, scourgified it, and sucked up the three drops she needed, then dropped them into her cauldron and stirred the mixture exactly three times widdershins (she read that term in a book once and thought it sounded a lot more exciting than 'counter-clockwise')

Sky kept her gloves on and picked up the three billywing stings. She checked to make sure her potion was still moving. It was, so she added the stings.

MJ gasped as the Professor brushed off her concerns about her classmate. And Professor Lafay had seemed in such a good mood to start with. Perhaps that was why, MJ thought. Because she had planned on drenching the first student to notice her purposefully uncleaned cauldron. Well it wasn't so much the noticing, but the pointing it out, to her, of all professors!! If that was bravery, then bravery = stupido.

Fetching three billywig stingers (honestly, what was it with insect parts and blood and guts in this class?), MJ hurried back to drop them into her cauldron before the liquid stopped swirling.

Does it really matter what direction you stir it!?! Violet couldn't believe this kid--especially that she had the nerve to ask Professor Lafay that. At least she hadn't gotten a cauldron poured over her, Violet thought, but was still annoyed and embarassed at her earlier misstep. But now she was finally caught up again and couldn't spare any more thought for this sort of nonsense; she needed to get on with the next step.



Keeping her gloves on, Violet took three billywig stingers and dropped them in the still-swirling water, watching as they sank down, like three ships going down in a whirlpool.

Updating her notes, Thea kept stirring. Billywig?.. Thea stifled a snort by pretending to wipe her nose. Yes. Immaturity. It wasn't going to go away any time soon..

Grasping her three stingers tightly, she dropped them into the liquid one by one. Moving back sightly as some of the water splashed out, she wrinkled her nose.

Victoria smiled to herself as she put down her quill. 'Into the moving liquid' is just another fancy way to write 'Into the moving water', it does feel nice to be smart sometimes. Though Victoria never forgets to still be a Snake.

They have to keep their gloves on? Victoria had taken them off to stir the cauldron, guess that she'll have to put them back on again. Stuffing her hands in a hot, smelly animal skin isn't the best feeling in the world.

Victoria took three billywig stinger, and she realized why they have to keep them on, because one of them still stung to her skin where Victoria accidently elbowed it. She lowered her hands and dropped them one by one into the potion solution.

Ronnie had almost been in a dream like transe fromt he time she got in here, she had completely missed the first few steps in the potion before she came out of it. She rushed to try and catch up with out making any mistakes.

Pointing her wand at her couldron she said "Scourgify, Aguamenti, Incendio!" Right in a row and watched as her couldron cleaned it's self, filled with water, and a fire came to life underneath. Ronnie was surprised by herself more than anything, her magic had been so weak since her dad died, almost as if it was leaving her. She smiled when she realized it was still there and prepared to move onto the next step.

Ronnie quickly got up from her stool, trip, caught herself on the edge of her table, looked around to make sure no one was watching and then got 2 cups of elf made wine. Poored it an and looked down, she wished potions could make themselves some times.

Now to put on the gloves...umm...well...did she bring her gloves?? Searching her bag...yes she did, applying them first to her right and then to her left she secured them. Okay..what was the last bit again...She got 3 leaves of the ugly looking plant, placed on in her motar and crushed it....She then added one..two..three drops to her potions and stirred 3 times counter clockwise.

Okay, she was finally almost caught up, She then took three billywig stingers and drop them in the moving water...wait her water wasn't moving anymore..."Umm...Professor..what happens if your water stopped moving????"

Minerva put her gloves on and went over to the Dransul Plant. She picked three leaves and went back to her work area. She took out her wand and cleaned her mortar. Then she took one of the leaves and crushed it until the acid came out. Taking her cleaned dropper she added three drops of acid and stirred counter clockwise.

Leaving her gloves on Minerva took three billy wig stingers and dropped them into the moving water.

leaving her gloves on Louise picked up three Billywig stingers and dropped them into her cauldron, she waiting for the teacher to tell her what to do next, she put up her hand, "i don't think mine looks right, is the water supposed to move" she put her head down

Nessie nodded and grabbed the billywig stingers and added them into the moving potion. She watched the potion move as she got lost in thought.

Keeping her gloves in, Louisa snatched three billywig stingers and dropped them in the liquid watching curiously as they drowned slowly into the water. She moved her face away from the cauldron, in case the water got so magically grabby, and glanced at the other students work.
