Hecate seemed in somewhat a better mood. She had a few bags on one side of the room and she was looking at an old photograph. A very young Hecate Lafay in emerald and silver, on a broom wielding a beaters bat and a handsome young man, on a broom beside her guarding the goal hoops. She was twirling the bat above her head, cheering, and the boy was pumping his fist in the air.
It was her first championship win. Third Year.
She tucked the photo in her desk, opened the classroom, and waited for her students to file in.
ooc: This class will stay open for at least 72 hours (probably more.) Also thanks to Antarctica! for taking the picture of the Potions Classroom for me at the WWoHP, and to Ameh for makin it into a pretty graphic!

"There are two ways of making a wizard photo, taking a muggle one and animating it with a charm or, using the devomotion potion to pull the actual animation onto the picture." She walked to the front of her desk and sat on it. "When you take a muggle picture the negative captures the exactly split second you take it. Right, so Tori had been in a temporary stupor but she snapped out of it when the professor gave directions to clean their cauldrons. She cast Scourgify in hers and started humming a bit of the 'Happy Working Song' as she Aguamenti'd it next. Water on a low flame. Doo dooo dooooooooo done.
What was next? Elf made wine? Aww why couldn't it just be regular wine? That would have made eventually taking this potion just a bit more interesting. Anyway. Tori collected two cups of the liquid from the cupboard and added that to the water, slowwwwwly.
Nextttttt? She looked up at the professor expectantly.

Elf-made wine vinegar? So, is it wine or vinegar or mixture of both? Either way, she is definitely not going to drink it. Moving towards the cupboard, Aiden gets two cups of the elf-made wine vinegar and pours it into her cauldron. What's could be next?

Wine vinegar? Joy didn't know much about it. He headed to the barrel containing the wine vinegar taking a small flask but big enough to hold two cups of the strange ingredient.
Jory returned to his cauldron, poured the two cups of wine vinegar in his cauldron. Then he wrote the step down on his parchment and waited for the next set of instructions.

Devomotion Potion

INGREDIENTS
Two Cups of Elf mad wine
PROCEDURE
Step One: Clean Cauldron
Step Two: Fill in water
Step Three: Set a low fire
Step Four: Add two cups of Elf made wine
Victoria didn't know how Elf made wine is going to effect the potion. She walked over to the barrel and scooped two full cups of wine and brought them safely back to her seat. She poured them carefully one by one into her cauldron. The potion hissed loudly as wine made contact with the water. Hopefully that is what it's suppose to happen...she did follow the instructions VERY carefully.
"Next step will be to add two cups of Elf-made wine vinegar." She said and motioned to the door of the potions cupboard. "There is a barrel in there with enough for the whole class." She took the vinegar, burgundy in color and poured it slowly in with the water.
Janice followed Lafay's instruction. Wait. Elf-made? Couldn't it be just Wizard/witch-made? She raised her hand.
"Professor, what's the difference between Elf-made and, err, normal person-made wine vinegar, besides the person/thing that made it? Do they use different ingredients, or are the Elves' hand just different from us??"

Wait, what? What just happened?
Heather was about to look around when the next instruction was given. It was perfectly obvious that she was completely oblivious to the flipping of the cauldrons that happened to those who forgot to clean theirs.
She happily went and went to take two cups of that elf made wine vinegar. She slowly walked back to her place and slowly poured the wine into the cauldron. It took awhile, but as soon as her cup was empty, she put it down and took out her parchment and quill and started to write it all down. Even if she knows this, it doesn't hurt to take down notes and keep it, right? Besides, this is a really fun activity-for her. Too much fun perhaps.
"I am not sure what spell you cast, of what the liquid in your cauldron is, but I suggest you wake up and pay attention. The incantation for the water charm is Aguamenti." She said and flipped over the girl's cauldron as well. "Clean up your mess, clean your cauldron again as it is on the floor."
Nessie growled silently as Professor Lafay walked away. The NERVE of that woman! She quickly cleaned up the mess Professor Lafay made and cleaned her cauldron.
Scourgify! As soon as she was sure her cauldron was cleaned she did the first two instructions . . . again.

Nessie aimed her wand towards the cauldron with extreme purpose she pronounced the first spell. She didn't want the potion on her shoes again.
"Aguamenti!" She looked at Lafay with an eyebrow raised. She wanted to say something but she was sure it would get her in more trouble than she already had been. She kept her lips shut. After the water was added she put it on the low flame.
"Incendio!"Finally with her steps all caught up she could finally work on something that she could have already been finished with.

Nessie walked over to the cupboard where the vinegar was held she carfully measured out the two cups she walked back over to her seat and poured it into her water filled cauldron. She sat back with a scowl on her face. She doesn't do failure. This had really messed up her day.
Eino made his way towards to barrel of wine and took two cups of th elf-made wine vinegar. He never knew that elves made such beverage, but he very much disliked the smell of both wine and vinegar so he held his breath as he retrieved the liquid. He poured the two cups of the liquid into the solution and waited a few moments. The solution had changed color and it didn't smell very nice, but hopefully the next ingredient would change the smell.
Hecate flipped the cauldrons over for everyone who hadn't cleaned their cauldron. "I do not care if you looked to see if your cauldron was cleaned, you MUST clean it right before you do anything with it. If there is a speck of dust, that isn't visible to the naked eye, you can compromise your whole potion," she said angrily. "Now clean up your area, scourgify your cauldrons, repeat the five C's of potion making and then start over!" That ruined her mood.
Ariana felt bad for the people whose cauldrons had been upended, especially the first years who were new to the whole potions thing. Oh well, she supposed they did do something wrong...

Ariana got up with the others and measured out two cups of deep red vinegar. Walking somewhat slower than usual so as not to spill any, she made her way back to her seat and slowly poured it in with the water, trying to mimick the professor since she was a bit scared of doing anything wrong. Once she'd finished, and was satisfied that nothing was going to explode, she copied down the next step into her notes.

Rose winced slightly. 'That would not be fun.' she muttered. Most definitely not. Well. It might be... She'd find a way to have fun. Wait, it'd be perfect! It'd give her time to think! She beamed happily as the Professor glared at her. Heh.
Rose jumped up and grabbed some Elf-made wine vinegar. That was a mouthful. Elf-made wine vinegar. 'Try saying that really fast...' she muttered. She added it slowly and beamed. 'Elf-made wine vinegar, Elf-made wine vinegar, Elf-made vine winegar, see?' she said out loud, to no-one in particular.

Making her way quickly to the potions cupboard, Thea waited to get her two cups of the vinegar. Once collected, the Gryffindor made her way veeery carefully back to her work station. Exhaling, she smiled to herself as she peeked into her cup. not a drop spilt!
Chewing her lip as she did so, Thea poured her cups into the cauldren. Stepping back from the hot liquid, she peeked around the dungeon as she waited for the next step to be said.

The First Year Ravenclaw rubbed her eyes and yawned. Late nights really didn't do her any good, but she had so much homework to do! The little Eagle shook herself before setting up her cauldron. She couldn't afford to fall asleep in Potions. Or, horror of horrors, mess something up!
"Scourgify!" She uttered. MJ frowned at the end of her wand. "Scourgify!" She tried again. Growing frustrated in her tired, irritable state, MJ barked "Scourgify!!" crossly. Smiling smugly as the spell finally worked, MJ admired her sparkling cauldron. "Oh now what was it...? Oh. Aguamenti! Incendio!"
A while later, when she had a cauldron of hot water, she fetched the elf-made vinegar wine and added that to her Devomotion Potion. MJ thought that was such a cool phrase; she liked anything that rhymed. She wouldn't dare tell the professor though.
"Next step will be to add two cups of Elf-made wine vinegar." She said and motioned to the door of the potions cupboard. "There is a barrel in there with enough for the whole class." She took the vinegar, burgundy in color and poured it slowly in with the water.
Noticing the others who haven't cleaned their cauldrons received a glare from Professor Lafay, Erin felt relieved for herself. She had cleaned hers. Then, she listened intently to what was the Potions Master was saying.
Elf-made wine vinegar.
After the professor had demonstrated what to do, Erin moved to the barrel. Thinking before acting, Erin muttered, "Scourgify" to clean the two measuring cups she will use for the vinegar. She then poured two cups of vinegar from the barrel. It was burgundy in color just like what the Professor had. Slowly, Erin poured the vinegar to mix with the water she conjured earlier to the cauldron. After the first one, she added the second cup.

And photos were the answer she was looking for? Well...then it made sense that she did not get that answer from Josh Carter because he did not have any photos that he kept and still he would think saving other stuff would be more reasonable.

Half closing his eyes, he leaned his head on the Head Girl's shoulder and smiled with happiness.

Listening to all this talk about wizarding and muggle photos and how they were developed, Evelyn sighed heavily and kept silent for most of it. Sure, she knew how to develop wizarding photos since that was a job of hers for the yearbook, but well...she was just too lazy to raise her hand at the moment.
Feeling Josh's head on her shoulder though, there was no way she was going to raise her hand and disrupt his slumber.
Besides, she'd rather stare at him than answer a silly question...

Alas though, Josh had to move.
Smiling somewhat at him, the Slytherin stood up a little so she could see the inside of her cauldron before giving it a quick scrub down with a wave of her wand. Scourgify all the way!
Now with that done, she cast a quick 'aguamenti' spell in her cauldron, letting it fill up to the required around before setting a flame underneath with a well practiced 'incendio'. She couldn't help but wonder how potions classes would have gone during these past few years if she never got a handle down on the fire spell. Burned down potions classroom? Singed eyebrows? Burnt books and notes?

That was way too amusing to think about.

Next step.
Taking a measuring cup, large enough that could hold two cups of whatever it was she was measuring, the Slytherin girl stood up and made her way over to the potions cupboard. Elf-made wine vinegar? Hehe. Measuring two cups, Evelyn walked back to her station and slowly added the burgundy colored wine into her cauldron before flipping open her notebook and writing down the steps in her notes.
A thought did cross her mind though. Just who in this lesson would be stupid enough to try the burgundy liquid?
"Yes, to make it simple... muggles process the negatives through some chemicals, then enlarge them onto photographic paper, then pass it through more chemical and then pass it through water. Alright time to get down to business, as she seen Lafay cast agumenti into her cauldron, which meant that to was time to start brewing. So the first thing first clean, "scourgify!" Well that done the trick..... Now She needed water, "aguamenti!" casting the water into her cauldron. And lit the burner under her cauldron with "incendio"
Getting up she went over to the barrels and got the two cups of the Elf-made wine vinegar. And then see when back to her seat. As she slowly porued the burgundy liquid into her cauldron. She wrote down exactly what she had just done into her notebook. Annnddddd then waited on the next set of instructions.

She cleaned her own cauldron and set the water to boil, then added the vinegar. "Now you put on your gloves and retrieve three leaves from the Dransul plant. Next procedure.
Jonathan put on some gloves and took 3 leaves from this Dransul plant professor Lafay instructed them to do. After getting them, he took out his mortar and pestle. He cleaned it first before using it and then he put one leave and crushed it. He kept on crushing the leaves with the use of a pestle until an acid came out, like the professor had told them.
next was to add them into the cauldron with the use of a dropper. Jonathan then stirred it in a counter clockwise motion, 3 times. "Should be enough now." he mumbled as he put his stirrer onto his table and waited for the next procedure.
Aurora put on her gloves, scourgifying them just in case, and took three leaves. One of these she placed into her (newly scourgifyed) mortar and used her pestle to crush it. AHA! The acid seeped from the leaf. When there were three drops worth she used her dropper to place them into the cauldron and stir it three times anti-clockwise. She then cleaned the mortar, pestle and dropped and placed them on her work station - always stay ahead of the cleaning.

Kourtney held back a gasp as the professor dumped her cauldron over Auggie's head. What was he thinking making a smart-aleck comment like that?! She cast a look at August and frowned. Not a good move at all.
Before she moved on to the next step, she cleaned all of the rest of her equipment, including her mortar and pestle, by casting Scourgify. Once that was completed, Kourtney rose from her seat again and approached the football shaped plant, pulling on her gloves as she did so. Removing three leaves from the plant, she returned to her seat and dropped them into the mortar.
She used her pestle to crush one of the leaves. Crush...crush...crush...Finally, after a few minutes, she noticed a bit of acid seeping from the leaf. Selecting a dropper, she sucked up the acid, hovered the dropper over her cauldron and squeezed it, allowing the three drops to fall into the solution.
She then picked up her spoon and stirred the mixture three times in a counter-clockwise direction.

OH SWEET MERLIN!
Did anyone see that!? Lafay had not only flipped a cauldron, but she had flipped it right over a boy's head! With the potion in it and all! Destiny couldn't help it. Pulling her parchment closer to herself, she quickly drew two socks next to the one she had already drawn. Something like that deserves two socks.
But, back to the potion. Because the last thing she wanted was for the Professor to flip over her cauldron. She didn't want to draw her own sock!
Pushing the parchment away from herself, she listened as Lafay spoke and eyed up the plant they were supposed to take leaves from. What was that thing called? It looked like that muggle thing..that muggle thing that she could not remember the name of! That wasn't important, though, and slipping her hands into her gloves, she made her way over to the plant. "Don't worry, little buddy. Your leaves will grow back." Or..she hoped they did. She didn't want to be lying to a plant! Plucking three of the leaves, she held her arm out in front of her, not wanting her face anywhere near them, and sitting back at her station, she placed one of the leaves into her mortar.
Imagine what Professor Bentley would think about this. Crushing a plant! Pfft, Bentley.
Taking her pestle, she began ferociously crushing the leaf like it was Professor Bentley until she could spot the little drops of acid. With that step done, she carefully poured the acid into her cauldron, and picking up and cleaning her stirrer, she gave the potion three counterclockwise stirs.
Everything done, Destiny sat back and waited for another flipped cauldron. She had socks to draw.
Steps Taken

- Cleaned my cauldron.
- Filled cauldron with itching powder water using 'Aguamenti'.
- Used 'Incendio' to light..my fire. - Feared for my life.
- Added two cups Elf-made wine vinegar to cauldron.
- Drew two more socks. One more, I'll have TWO pairs!
- Put on gloves.
- Took three Dransuls leaf.
- Placed leaf in mortar. - Pfft'd Professor Bentley.
- Ferociously Crushed leaf like it was Professor Bentley until all the acid was released.
- Added three drops of the acid.
- Stirred potion three times counterclockwise.

After adding the Elf wine vinegar to his potion the Gryffindor had turned to look forward at the Professor, waiting to see what was going to be asked of them next when she began to commend him on his good paying attention. Oh well, that comment could have been taking badly. At least nothing...
August then felt the warm contents of Professor Lafay's cauldren empty over his head; his dark curls matting down to his head and face and his robes getting soaked. "P-P-Professor..." he started and just looked at her as if she had punched him in the face; might as well have. He didn't know what to say. He had NEVER been treated like that by anyone before, much less a Professor. He HATED her.
He cleaned up the mess around the floor that she had made and then tried to dry himself off the best he could; he unfortunately didn't know any drying spells. Now he had to continue with the rest of class like this. The Gryffindor was tempted to leave but then Lafay would win.
Walking forward, Auggie went and yanked leaves off of the plant like he was instructed and pulverized them angrily in his mortar. He then used the dropper from his potions set and dropped the acid secreated from the leaves into the potion and then stirred the three times in the counter clockwise direction.
