A surly looking Mr. Stryker is seated on a bench. As you enter the gazebo, he'll motion for you to take a seat on either a pillow, beanbag, or good ol' concrete. Your choice.
Please, come in! The lesson will begin shortly (OOC: 4pm EST, 9pm GMT (I think...) tomorrow), so feel free to talk amongst yourselves.
Fee couldnt help but laugh a little as Anakin fist pumped the air.He was just soo adorable sometimes.Even though he was three years older the blonde sometimes felt like watching her little brother. What was totally a good thing. She was more than grateful that he could cheer her up in less than a second."You are sooo freaky,Amstern",she shook her head,"but i love you for that.Girls be jealous,i got one of the hottest guys to dance with me.Hah."Whenever they were together there were those moments when they acted really obnoxious, but the Slytherin couldnt help but enjoy it.
Giggling a tiny bit as her best friend bowed to her the blonde glanced at Hugo and Vashti one last time. She really couldnt understand it but right now she didnt really care.Dancing with Anakin was as equally good as with Hugo.Yes.As the fourth year walked first her eyes wandered the dancefloor, searching for a good place. She chouldnt help but chuckle at the Hufflepuff as she heard him commenting about the royality of Hogwarts."Well you know Hogwarts gets only the best students",the fourth year wiggled her eyebrows,"after all we rule the castle."It was really funny how many people at Hogwarts thought alike. They were like a big, cool, lovely family."Ohh and you forgot the fair maiden",the blonde chuckled,"Emma Malfoy."Slytherin royality.Hehe.
Punshing Anakin in the side a little the blonde pouted at him."More confiiidence, mister",she winked,"i am sure you do great.Dont be so humble all the time."Fee had no idea how often she had told him to trust in himself already and she wouldnt stop until he actually did so."Lets get it on slowly",the girl smiled,"no pressure."she surely wasnt the best at dancing either, since she had never tried before. But this was for fun not for competetion.
Anakin hated not being able to hear laugh's, because he knew they were all different, and some people had dorky laughs. And that would be fun to hold over them, in a loving manner of course, but he wasn't able to distinguish dorky laughs from cute laughs. Which was a bummer, but oh well. At least he'd learned to be able to tell when people WERE laughing. Just like Fee was laughing now. The 6th year just grinned, before feigning hurt when she spoke. "I'm FREAKY? You wound me Schwarzberg. DEEP. In HERE." He placed a hand over his hurt, and blinked rapidly like he was trying to withhold tears. Giving up the charade nearly as quickly as he started, Anakin just chuckled, puffing his chest out a bit. "You better love meeee, dangit. I'd have to cry if not. Just SOB." Jealous? Girls? "Mhmmm, I'm sure there's millions of 'em just SEETHING right now 'cause I asked you to dance instead of them."
HEH. Funny thought.
An followed Fee when she led them out to find a good, less crowded spot, for the two to dance. He'd glance away on a few occasions looking for a spot as well, and keeping his eyes basically off other couples. It was too easy for him to eavesdrop, and he didn't wanna accidently pick up on something private. Looking back over at Fee, Anakin mimicked her chuckle. "I guess so, the best of the best." Or in some cases, the obnoxious of the obnoxious. "People only wish they had the power we did at this here school." It was funny HIM saying it, as Anakin still felt like a noob. Even if this was already his third year at Hogwarts. "Emma? You forget Feefers, I'm not nearly as well known as you." So he really had no idea who Em was. :O Failll.
Feeling a prod to the side, his mouth dropped open and he turned to look at her fully. Nearly pouting. "This doesn't have anything to do with confidenceeeee. I'm genuinely warning you." Last time he'd danced with a girl? Didn't go down so well. He tried to make a habit of just...NOT. That's why he was HERE. To learn to do better. "Not being so humble either. You'll know that tomorrow when your foot is throbbing. Just saying." He'd tried to warn herrrrrr. Stopping in the spot Fee had found, Anakin turned and offered her one hand, letting the other go to her waist. This was the right position right? Waltz? "Er...were you paying attention to what dance we're supposed to be practicing?" 'Cause honestly, he wasn't.

Let them point and laugh at who we are, it's you and me here dancing from the start
Gideon tried not to appear too relieved as his foot hit floor and not foot as Selina moved in relative sync with him. "Yeah we did," he agreed with a bright smile of his own. One step down...however many more to go. As they continued to move with him leading, it became more and more easier to go with the flow rather then having to consciously think about every move they made.
"Uh uh, Skylar...I claim no such talent," he remarked with a smirk, denying that he had that much influence on what they had been doing. "It was a joint effort. As ye said earlier...WE did it."
Selina could feel a lot of tension leave her chest as they started to move with a flow to their dancing. It was still not perfect, but it was awkward... it was awkwardly them. She gave him a lopsided grin, she was proud that she was not falling on her face. For someone who had two left feet she was not doing too terribly.
Always modest Gideon smirked at her. She looked up at him and rolled her eyes playfully, "I would wipe that smirk off of your face, Gert, but my hands are otherwise occupied at the moment." Then she tore her blue eyes away from his face and then said looking down at the ground, "Yeah I guess we make a pretty good team, huh?"
Harlow smile and nodded up at him. "I can do that." she giggled. She took his hand and pulled him closer so she could lead him in a waltz around the room. She took a step forward forcing him to step back. "Have you ever been to a ball?" she asked him. She loved getting dressed up in her gowns and having her hair professionally styled.
There was no force in the entire world to keep Kennedy's cheeks from turning red. It was just impossible. As Harlow began to lead their waltz he felt a bit antsy about stepping on her fake feet, or bumping into someone or just plainly make a fool out of himself. So, instead he kept his gaze on their feet trying to predict the next move.
"No," he shook his head. "But, I've seen some in movies." Yep, everything he knew or thinks he knows is base on films. "Are they fun?" he asked, curiously.
Rose turned and saw Daisy running over. 'Sure! We're a three, so it's make more sense!' Rose nodded. 'You two be okay? No killing each other or anything?' Rose chuckled.
"Oh yes! That should be fine, as soon as I find Justin!" Faven said honestly. "You two have fun!"

"Well, I don't think you'd find me competing any time soon." Rafe grinned. That certainly would be a riot. Marilyn was so natural at this and Rafe looked a bit clunky in movements and for a little while he couldn't really tell who was leading who.
Again? Did she mean another spin?
He didn't even bother to ask, this time spinning her twice and then continuing in a one...two...three movement. "Like that?" He chuckled.
Marilyn smirked at what Rafe had said...No, she supposed they wouldn't be competing...but it was still good information to know. She watched Rafe prepare to move, a crease forming between his eyes. He was trying to do so well...
The second time around he didn't disappoint, either. It was more fluid and graceful. It actually caused Marilyn to stop short.
This was still a bad, BAD idea, you silly blonde.
Coughing, she moved a hand up to rub the back of her neck. "Much, MUCH better, Lycaon. We'll make a dancer out of you yet..."

Harlow kept them waltzing around the room slowly so that Kennedy could get the hang of it. And not fall flat on his bottom or anything. "I think they are fun. But they can be really stuffy. Like if you go to a debutante ball you have to wear a certain color and if you are being introduced to society you have to have a date," she pulled a repulsed face at the thought of going to a ball with a boy. "I can get you a invite to the Legend's Ball in New York for Christmas. I'm going." she offered.

"It's nice to meet you, Prue," Pres smiled at the younger girl. Probably only younger by a couple of months, but still, Pres was a second year already. And well on her way to skipping third year. Presley was interested now. "Who's your sister?" Odds were good that Presley knew her. Dancing for a while? Good. This class should be a breeze. And thank Merlin she had a partner who wouldn't step on her toes.
"My sisters Abigail... though I just call her Abby... you probably wouldn't know her, she's quite shy unless you ask her if she's the oldest... she'll insist that she's younger than me though she isn't!" Prue defended, she was definitely younger, younger by 3 hours and 48 minutes exactly. Her birth certificate proved that fact! "Do you have any siblings?"

"Er...were you paying attention to what dance we're supposed to be practicing?" 'Cause honestly, he wasn't.
Fee chuckled a little as she saw how Anakin was focusing on her mouth. It was really hard to make up what sounds people were making. She had to yell at him that he understood her.But oh well many students were here and the music was really loud too. These things just made a good dancing lesson.Hehe.Ohhh noo waaaayyy, the blonde coulnt help but laugh again.Whenever her best friend was around, everything was a blast."Ohhhhh nooo Amstern i would never want to hurt you",the girl fake pouted,"how can i make it okay again?"They were so bad together, really. Was he really puffing out his chest?Noo waaay Anakin."Of course i love you",she nodded,"how could somebody not love you?I mean look at youuuu."The slytherin knew he was joking about the girls beign sad that he had a partner now,but to be honest there surely were some. After all he was a handsome young man.Yep,good boy.
Nodding happily the fourth year beamed at the hufflepuff."Of course the best of the best",she said,"i mean look at us.No one could ever compare."Ohhh that sounded sooo vain but god knew she was just kidding. It was fun to play the royal family and after it had developed soooo great this summer there was noo way not to mention it.Giggle."Yeees we will be legends when we leave",the girl beamed,"they will teach about us in history.Everyone here should be grateful to be at Hogwarts when we are."And this only proved how bad they were together again. But then again it was the people's fault that listened to their conversation if they thought the wrong things. Why were all the people always telling her she was popular? That soo wasnt true, she didnt know EVERYONE."Oh come one i am sure you know just as many people as i do",the girl smiled and nodded,"her name is Emma Malfoy and she is a fifth year Slytherin and she played Quidditch the last three terms."Fee hadnt seen her for a long time ,where was that girl?!
Raising her eyebrows the blonde just shook her head once again."Noooo excuses, mister",she stuck her tongue out.He might have never danced before or not for long, but so waht? That was what this lesson was for and he surely wouldnt destroy her shoes or something. That was just Anakin overreacting.Hehe."Pffsssh my feet wont be throbbing",Fee said,"calm down and relax. Its gonna be fine,i am sure you are a great dancer."Ohhh right, what dance where they supposed to do?!The girl had been so caught up in watching Hugo and then talking to her best friend, she hadnt heard anything."Lets just waltz until he announces something",she chuckled,"i am very bad at paying attention i just noticed."
Eris did as she was supposed to, careful not to step on his feet as that seemed to be a concern voiced quite a many times around her. Yup, waltzing she could do.
"As are you" Eris grinned. Dance class was quite enjoyable
" Thank you" William told Eris. " I have a good partner' Willaim said to Eris.

As the Slytherin was about to turn around and go she heard a really familiar voice and a smile crept on her face immediately."Ohh Mister Amstern",the girl giggled,"i would love to dance with you. What a pleasure."She couldnt tell how insanely happy she was to see him right there.Anakin had really became her best friend over the past month and Fee couldnt say how grateful she was for that.
But why wasnt he dancing with Vashti? They had just gotten together.Looking around the blonde npticed her dancing with someone else. Why would she dance with someone else?Glitter, sometimes the world was soooo confusing.Or maybe it was a Ravenclaws thing.A not so smart one.Smiling at the boy next to her the girl linked his arm."Lets go then, prince charming."
" Enjoy yourself" Willaim told Fee. " I beet if I was Res, yo uwould be dancing with me" Willaim teased Fee.

She looked up at Kennedy and was confused as to why his face was so red. "Are you ok?"she asked him softly. She didn't want him to pass out on anything.

"A debu-what?" Balls had names...wait, there were different kinds of balls? Eh, something new he learned. He couldn't help, but chuckle at the face she made. "What's wrong with having a date?"
Kennedy pondered on her offer. Hm, going to a ball would be pretty epic...well the most epic thing he'd ever get to participate in. "Who are the Legend's?" he asked. He felt his feet begin to move with more ease, so he lifted his gaze to Harlow's.
" Thank you" William told Eris. " I have a good partner' Willaim said to Eris.

Ooo, so Will had a girlfriend?
Eris stepped back from dancing to wave at the girl quite childishly. "'ello!"
Then again, this would put their group at four, which would mean it would be best to split into two pairs. Besides, Eris could pass for a boy any day.
"So then why don't you lead Miss. Witsy to the dance floor and I get a turn with Miss. Janice....Madmoselle?" the young witch turned to face Janice with a grin, extending her hand lightly.

...
Aaaaand that was nice while it lasted.
Looking over to Destiny, Evelyn may have laughed quietly...until she realized her friend was serious. Seriously? Looking up to Josh, seeing that she was the one that was supposed to decide, Evelyn sighed quietly before smirking, and hugging him close. Laying her head near his shoulder, facing Destiny that is, her smirked widened. "If you want to..."
Hehe.
Still hugging Josh, she turned her head the other way to watch the demonstration that Mr. Stryker was giving. Didn't they learn all of this in fourth year? While she herself already knew all the steps, it would be an amazement to know if someone had already forgotten.
Though there was that one problem now bugging her again. How were they supposed to do this when they had three in a group? "Who goes first?" she muttered, looking back to Destiny.
Hmmmmmm?

He didn't have to look so thrilled that she had went over to them. Sure, she may not have been paying much attention to what the Groundskeeper man had said, but she did hear that if someone was partner-less, they should go and join another group. Destiny was only following the directions! And yeah, Josh and Evelyn were being disgusting, so she had to break them up.
She was almost tempted to roll her eyes as she watched him look at Evelyn to her, then back to Evelyn. How hard was it to say no? She said it all the time.
No. No. No. Nonononononono.
Besides. The faster they said no, the faster she could get out of there. Would any of the old people realize she had left? They all seemed to be busy dancing anyway, and.. that was not the answer she was waiting for. Blinking a few times, the smirk that was on her face disappeared. No, she did not want to dance! She just wanted them to stop being disgusting.
Glancing at the Groundskeeper, being disgusting with the Herbology Professor, Destiny took a few steps away from her friends. "YOU can go first. Actually, you can go first and last.." She was just going to dance by herself.
And with that, she began to spin slowly on the spot.
Well...okay.
If Evelyn did let her to do so, it meant Destiny was going to join them. Okay. Okay. Okay. That was not a bad thing. Not at all, right? Even though he knew the she-snake despised his touch, as he got the impression from the day Lafay punished them together, she was still her friend and Evelyn's best friend. She was a million times better than a random girl that might have decided to join them after all.
So giving her a little and quick smile with a nod to show the girl that he had accepted the fact that now she was a part of their...group. A moment ago they had been a couple but now they were a group of three so yea a group.
His arms still wrapped around Evelyn's waist, the Gryffindor boy patiently waited as the she-snakes decided who was going to try the dance with him first and within the progress it did not escape the boy's eyes that Destiny's mood had changed a bit. Or was he mistaken. A moment ago she seemed to be happy to be joining then...she was like...that...something Josh could not describe now. But at least he could tell she was not dying to dance with him at first place...
...which was fine with him. However he was not sure if he thought the same way about her spinning...there.
Crazy girl.
Smirking at the sight a bit, Josh turned back to his girlfriend looking into her eyes. Then it meant they were going to dance together while Destiny...made weird moves there by herself. At least just for now. He was glad that he knew Evelyn would never go there and decide to do those weird moves herself anyway. Or...on the other hand she would still look perfectly beautiful if she did.
She was VERY BEAUTIFUL.
Unable to fight the urge, he leaned in and placed a gentle kiss on her lips and it lasted a moment or so before he whispered ''Shall we begin?''
What was the instructions again?

"At least you know something about dancing! I don't know anything" yeah, he was a professional dancer "But I'll try" and very hard "To not step on your feet" he promised. He would be only looking down while dancing just to make sure he was stepping on the floor and not her feet.
"Oh, so you too think you are going to step on my feet? Okay so we are even" he chuckled. Nikolas looked down at her hand and grabbed it gently. "Alright, let's go" he titled his head towards where everyone else were.
Nikolas listened that Mr. Stryker was given them directions on how to dance. Uhh this kinda confused him, so his left hand together with her right hand and then his right hand on her back and hers on his arm. Okay, okay...Got it. Nikolas turned to Emma and asked "Ready?". He wasn't at all. He was slightly nervous to be true and he didn't wanted to think if he would do it right or wrong, he simply would enjoy the moment. Nikolas grabbed Emma's right hand and then her left hand and set it on his arm. This was right way, right? Good.
He then placed his right hand on her back and said "I guess this is how it is supposed to go, right?" he chuckled. Nerves were still there.
Emma chuckled a little bit as he said that he knew nothing about dancing. "Dancing is mainly timing and its pretty easy to pick up, even for the clumsiest of people.. Or so I've heard," she added with a wide smirk on her face as she met his eyes with her brown eyes. Heh. Emma giggled I mean-laughed as he admitted that they were even. The blonde Malfoy rolled her eyes, in jest, at his even comment. Yeah, yeah, yeah. They'd see what would happen.
And all of a sudden, he had already moved her arms to where they should be. Someone was a little quick... Hey! Hey! No fair.. The blonde felt a bit awkward standing this close to another guy but it was Nik and she considered, well, she was starting to consider him as a good partner in crime material since her last partner had ditched her. Yeah. >.< Not fun. The blonde diverted her eyes quickly from looking directly at him, to look at Professor Stryker. Emma nearly jumped as Nik asked her if she was ready. Ready? Umm.. Well, as ready as she was going to be. "Ehh.. You know.. As ready as I'll ever be. You know the first thing you do right? Well, if not. You take a step forward with your left foot," she said, trying to be helpful as possible to him right now.
And then he put his hand on her BACK. This just made the blonde feel more awkward. She bit her lip, to stop herself from blushing. Then after the feeling of blushing had disappeared, she gave him an excited smile. "Yeah.. Heh. That does seem right. Nervous?" she added. If he tried anything else, then Mr. Nikolas was a dead man. Uh-huh. Yep.
"So.... you lead?" said Emma and then something else came into her mind! What if he pushed her into a wall or a pole or a rock and she broke her back? Or neck? Merlin........ "Oh and you better not walk me into any poles or something when were dancing," she warned, screwing up her nose a little bit, before relaxing and taking a deep breath in.
Chad clapped his hands together to get everyone's attention back up towards him and Bentley. "Now, the first thing we will learn how to do is the stance for the waltz. It is fairly simple. You are going to stand in front of each other, offset slight to the left. Mademoiselle Bentley, if you please?" Chad turned to face her, smiling politely.
"Now, le monsieur's left hand should join with la mademoiselle's right hand. These will be held up in the air a bit, approximately at the eye lady of la mademoiselle." With a slightly awkward cough, Chad demonstrated by taking Bentley's right hand into his left. "Next, le monsieur will place his right hand on the back of la mademoiselle, over her shoulder blade. Les mademoiselles will then rest their left arm on the monsieur's right arm." He placed his hand over her shoulder blade and waited for her to do her part.
"You all try now."

And yet again Chad managed to make her laugh. "You'll have plenty of dignity left, and I'm always willing to share what will be left of mine." She wasn't looking forward to her next class now. She could just imagine what the students would say... even if they were only joking. Seren looked around at the students again. Maybe if they were bad enough, she would be let off the hook. She certainly hoped that was the case.
Seren listened to Chad's instructions. Well she could do that. Couldn't she? Even if they took their time. Moving in sync, without having to remember steps sounded simple enough.
"Absolutely," she replied with a bright smile.
Let the madness begin.
"So... which way are we moving?" she asked uncertainly. He would lead, would he not?
Chad nodded his head and took a deep breath. Well, here went everything!
"Okay, so, we shall move forwards. Your backwards," he clarified, just so that they didn't walk into each other on the first step. "So...I will step forward with my right..." And that was what he did.

Haven't changed that much to say. But man, I still think them cats are crazy.
They were askin' if you were around. How you was, where you could be found....
If Tori was trying to scare her, Stella knew it wasn't going to be easy. In fact, she simply kept the smile on her face as the redhead stared her down. It certainly wasn't the first spoiled brat she'd ever encountered, and the faintest amusement flickered across her face as things turned sickly sweet, especially as poor August didn't seem to know that things weren't going perfectly well, or how he'd expected. It wasn't his fault he didn't know what he'd taken on. "Anything to make you happy, Princess," she replied, just as sweetly, before glancing at Auggie again.
"I'll be around here, just occupying my time. Luckily, I know this dance too," she told him, watching as they were all instructed to begin tentatively dancing. Hopefully Tori wouldn't eat him before the dance was over, but then she would have been perfectly fine by herself anyway. Even if dancing by herself was awkward, she could handle it. There was always the hope she'd get an escape, too. If all they were learning was the waltz, it wouldn't be like she was missing anything.

YAY he KNEW THIS ONE! Whew. Tori's face showed her relief and she even cracked a smile. "Well then, Mr. August, lead away!" Cuz yeah... she would just force her feet to follow.
Were they going to get any music though? It was kind of weird to have a dance without music of any kind...
Yeah, sure she knew how to dance. Tori snorted but smirked anyway over Auggie's shoulder. If Stella knew how to dance already, then why was she bothering with dancing lessons? HUH?
Yes! August was pretty excited he had two partners who seemed to be getting along greatly, and he would get to dance with both pretty girls.
Before he could ask Stella where she had learned the Waltz, he was whisked back to his positon by Tori. They were starting now. "Oh yeah," the Gryffindor glanced up at the Groundskeeper and Herbology Professor dancing at the front. "I guess so." Auggie straightened his stance and then spoke to Princess.
"Alright, I am going to go forward first and then you will take a step back." He took his foot forward hoping he didn't stomp her feet, he hadn't checked to see what type of shoes she was wearing.
His attention then turned to the class. "Soooo..." Now what? Oh lord. "Why not take some time to move around the room with your partner, maintaining your dance stance? There is no need to do anything fancy. Just...if he is to move his right leg forward, la mademoiselle's left leg to move back. Vice versa if he is to move his left leg forward. Same if you wish to move sideways. The key is to make sure you are in sync, so...talk to each other. Communicate where you wish to go. Now...go!"
He turned his attention back to Seren. "Shall we?"
ooc: I apologize for not posting a whole heck of a lot. I do hope you guys are still enjoying the class, though. I gotta scootle to bed, though. 9 am class tomorrow. >.< (it's currently 12:38 am XD)
Cove watched as people paired up and took their poses. She stood by her violin and watched everyone smiling. She heard the music in her head and imagined she was playing a waltz with the London Symphony. "We should have music, Mister Stryker!" Cove exclaimed.

"Uh, well let's see...I believe I was trying to run away from my crazy great aunt when I tripped over one of the giant rocks in the backyard." She laughed, relaxing a bit. "What about you? Ever broken anything?"
Mackenzi looked down at their feet. "Hopefully..." she agreed, silently praying to herself that shw didnt step on her partners feet. How embarassing would that. She'd be known as Toe Crusher or something like that! " I'm guessing a little bit od dan e background, whether it's ballroom or not, is helpful."
She looked up as Mr. Stryker began to talk again. So right foot back if his left came forward, and vice versa. Okay...sounds simple enough. "Well, should we start?"
"A crazy great aunt?" Paulie cocked an eyebrow and smiled a bit. That sounded like quite the dilemma right there. "And why was your crazy great aunt chasing you?" It's not something that happened every day. Or at least not in his household. Heck, he didn't even know if he had a great aunt. Had he ever broken anything? "I have, yeah. Just my arm, though, so.." A lot of people broke their arms.
He nodded. A bit of a dance background was indeed helpful, 'cause at least they had some knowledge beforehand. Paulie had, like, zero. "Well, we can only improve, right?"
The boy glanced over at Monsieur Stryker again as he gave them one more instruction. Basically, he led and the girl mirrored whatever he did, only with the opposite leg. "Sheesh, you get the easy part!" He grinned, then looked down at their feet momentarily before starting.
"Okay, I think I'll just make a square for now, since that seems pretty basic." And - here goes! - he stepped forward, then to the right, then backwards, to the left, and back forward again. His motions were a little shaky, but hey - it was their first time!
Gideon had to admit that it truly wasn't going as bad as he thought it might have. It certainly would have been worse had he accepted the Ravenclaw's offer and not because of the girl herself...he just would have been so much more nervous and hesitant and ackward that he would probably have been messing up all over the place.
'Well then I have shall have to avoid yer hands when they are free?" he commented relaxing his facial expression until it was simply an amused smile. He did after all remember the tales of what happened to those who crossed her even in jest
"I guess we do."
Selina continued to move her feet in the familiar pattern of the dance whilst she and Gideon talked. It seemed now that the pair had found a rhythm in the way that they danced. True, the rhythm was not as perfect and collected as the other groups, but at least they were doing what they were supposed to be doing. It was more than Selina could have first hoped for when entering the class.
She felt her feet slip up slightly when Gideon plastered an amused smile on his face. It was only a momentary laps and she looked up at Gideon, he really liked to push her limits didn't he? Fine, if he wanted to play the smirk game challenge accepted. She threw a smirk right back at him and retorted, "Yeah, maybe that would be wise. You never know when I might strike..."
When he agreed with her comment about them making a good pair she, without even thinking about it or relaxing she did it, moved a little closer to him. "Well you know, I was going to dance with Kurumi, but I guess your a good second choice." This joke was lighter than any she had previously thrown out a him. In fact her tone was so soft it was as if she whispered it.

Okay. Auggie would move forward first, and then Tori would take a step back. Right. She had this. The ginger nodded to show that she was ready, and then quickly stared down at their feet, waiting for August to move.
She had on her usual Converse All Stars, for the record, so at least her toes were slightly protected.

"Ok let's go." August lifted his right boating shoe and moved it forward toward Princess, hoping she would step back.
This wouldn't be too hard if she could just follow. Auggie peered around the rest of the other groups and some had begun and others were just standing around, obviously too nervous to start.

Tori was a good follower. Biting her lip nervously, she quickly stepped back when August stepped forward, still focusing solely on their feet and not looking up.
She didn't wanna trip!

India didn't exactly notice that Louisa's smile had been fake and gave her a genuine smile back. Of course she wasn't trying to steal a guy from anyone - she had just been partnerless. AND partnerless looked, well pathetic in Dance Theory class.
"It is very kind of you to let me borrow your partner," she smiled over to her. "If you ever need help with anything please - either of you let me know." She was offering a hand. Hopefully that didn't give any reason for malinent to come ehr way. As it usually did with her luck.

He was pretty pleased inside though, since that secured she was jealous. He liked the sound of it. It wouldn't put him off meeting India again, alone, of course, but it was good to know at least someone was jealous.
"A few more minutes, then I think I should dance with Louisa," he whispered to India's ear so that only she could hear. "She looks bored." No, actually she looked jealous and uncomfortable, but India didn't need to know that. She could observe it by herself, if she wanted.
Left foot forward, right foot to the back. Should I turn her around?
Borrow my partner? Louisa didn't know how to properly respond to this. 'I didn't have a choice' was a very good one but João was around so.. no need to be fussy. Instead the girl just nodded, fake smile still on.
...
...
Were they too close to each other? Louisa thought they were, anyway. She averted her gaze from them to spot the undesirable couple - make that second undesirable couple. They were happily dancing - well, starting to. Smiles, laughs and beaming faces. She was really growing unsettled by this. Too much for an entertaining class.

Moving... they were going to be moving.
With deep concentration, Seren smiled, "Right, this shouldn't be all that difficult. And if you can teach me to dance then you're a miracle worker."
Backwards...
Chad's right foot?.... meant her left foot. Yes, that sounded right.
A little nervously Seren took a step backward as instructed.
