Mina smiled back and gave a nod. His reply made her giggle to herself at how strange it sounded, but she kept that to herself. She wasn't going to question it and just focus on what they were supposed to be doing. They really didn't need to talk to dance, right?

Lifting her left hand, she places it on his shoulder gently and straightened her posture. That was something that she was always scolded for in her lessons before and she didn't want a repeat of that. Taking a quick glance around, she saw all the other pairs in starting and she thought they were in good shape so far. Thinking back to her lessons, she motioned to her right and allowed him to take the lead.

Selina smiled at Gideon lightly as he started to take in the directions that Mr. Stryker had given out. She let out a breath she didn't even know she had been holding and looked down at her feet as Gideon started to move his foot forward. As he moved his right leg forward she simultaneously moved her left leg back. When they had completed one step she looked up at him beaming, "We did it!"

Then she felt slightly more comfortable and looked at Gideon as they continued to dance. Every few seconds she would check her feet and she wasn't being the most graceful, but at least she was sort of getting the hang of it, "It isn't so bad. I thought it would be worse, honestly. Guess it's just your superb dancing skills, huh, Gert?"

Ryden stared at Orlando as he deftly moved into position, holding her back and her hand like it was his second nature. It was... kind of nice, seeing him so in control like that. The blonde smiled inwardly to herself, and nodded to him as he told her to trust him. Of course she did - more than he knew.

Plus, by now, she didn't have much of a choice. Her silly brain had decided it wanted to show up to this lesson - she'd brought this mess onto herself all on her own.

OH. He was moving. Ryden looked down as his right foot moved backwards and, as people seemed to be doing, stepped hers awkwardly forward. "Well, we're not dancing YET, Koala Boy," the fifth year stated as she looked up for further instructions. "Even I'm not as clumsy as to step on you when we're moving in slow motion," she said, tightening her grip on his hand as she wobbled. Standing like this was NOT easy, ok?

Hmpf.

Penny sighed with relief that Aurora's foot was OK, then giggled when she offered to cast the Impervious charm on her own feet....

"Yes Aurora, It definitely would make me feel safer, I really don't want to harm you", she said with a huge smile for her friend...

"Uhm, should we try that again, Penny chuckled again "I mean without the toe breaking"...

Penny tried to remember what to do, left back, right back, left across.... or something like that...maybe!

"I guess we're starting.... now?" Tori looked around at all the other couples and saw some of them starting to move side to side and in circles in stuff. Even Mr. Stryker and Professor Bentley seemed to be moving.

YAY he KNEW THIS ONE! Whew. Tori's face showed her relief and she even cracked a smile. "Well then, Mr. August, lead away!" Cuz yeah... she would just force her feet to follow.

Were they going to get any music though? It was kind of weird to have a dance without music of any kind...

Yeah, sure she knew how to dance. Tori snorted but smirked anyway over Auggie's shoulder. If Stella knew how to dance already, then why was she bothering with dancing lessons? HUH?

Kourt giggled. "Don't worry, I won't make you look silly, and even if we do end up looking silly, it's okay since we're dancing with each other. No icky boys." She paused. "Plus, everyone else is having fun with it anyway. We're not entering some competition."

She shook her head once. "You put your left arm on my right arm, instead of the shoulder blade. Only the male partner is supposed to do that."

She waited for Indy to correct the position and then looked towards Mr. Stryker. Oh YAY! They were going to be dancing now!

"Okay...so, if I move one of my legs forward, you move the leg directly across from it backwards. So...I move my right leg forward towards you...you move your left leg..which is directly across from my right leg...backwards." She moved her leg in demonstration. "And same thing if I move my left leg forward, then you move your right leg backwards." She explained patiently.

"Yes, right come on. I'll hum." she said, and, true to her word, began to hum a slow waltz. "Follow my lead, remember." she added, returning to her hum. She guided Penny through the steps one more time.

Eris did as she was supposed to, careful not to step on his feet as that seemed to be a concern voiced quite a many times around her. Yup, waltzing she could do.

"As are you" Eris grinned. Dance class was quite enjoyable

India felt herself flush as Joao said she did know something about dancing. She couldn't help but smile at the fact that he seemed so happy right now. Not to mention he was a pretty good dancer.

"Alright then" she smiled softly and firmly made eye contact. Her bizarre blue eyes showing utter happiness in their glow. It was nice to be able to dance with a real person. "And I'll try not to step on your feet" she added with a laugh.

Slowly she began her left foot stepping to the side smoothly - she wasn't actually a bad dancer just ill practiced. Still the three-four timing of waltzing was always a beautiful and melodic thing to her. Not just because she loved music - but because her mother had tried to give her dance instructions but India was not one for Ballet. She loved more classical things such as this beautiful dance.


India didn't exactly notice that Louisa's smile had been fake and gave her a genuine smile back. Of course she wasn't trying to steal a guy from anyone - she had just been partnerless. AND partnerless looked, well pathetic in Dance Theory class.

"It is very kind of you to let me borrow your partner," she smiled over to her. "If you ever need help with anything please - either of you let me know." She was offering a hand. Hopefully that didn't give any reason for malinent to come ehr way. As it usually did with her luck.

Kennedy laughed when she giggled. Hopefully he wouldn't be the one with the broken foot at the end of class.

That thought fled his mind when Harlow said she's been to a few balls. Now this was embarrassing. A girl two years younger than him knew how to waltz. Maybe she was wealthy and could afford going to those events? He on the other hand has never been to a ball or even a party. "Um, I think you should lead," he nodded. Yes, because if he did then they might end up at the lake.

Listening carefully to the instructions, he took her right hand with his left and placed his other hand on her back. First step, and they managed it well. Without making a sound, so he wouldn't miss any instructions, he waited for the professor to talk again.
He tried to act calm and smiled at Kimalia.

Left back, right back, left across, and Aurora was humming.... Penny was actually having fun - which surprised her very much, she hadn't expected to enjoy learning how to dance....But then she hadn't figured on Aurora being such a great teacher..

Penny grinned, "OK, so do we just do the same three steps until the music stops?".

Penny was impressed, Aurora wasn't kidding when she said she could dance, She was a natural..

Fee stood there in her corner and watched her boyfriend dance with that girl.She wasnt mad at him,just jealous.Did he find her pretty?Prettier than her?But then again the girl seemed to be younger.But still,that didnt mean anything.All of this was sooo confusing.Maybe the blonde should just leave and lay down on her bed.Maybe she had done something wrong?!There were way to many questions in her head.She didnt like feeling jealous,that felt like being a bad girlfriend.But she couldnt help it.

As the Slytherin was about to turn around and go she heard a really familiar voice and a smile crept on her face immediately."Ohh Mister Amstern",the girl giggled,"i would love to dance with you.What a pleasure."She couldnt tell how insanely happy she was to see him right there.Anakin had really became her best friend over the past month and Fee couldnt say how grateful she was for that.

But why wasnt he dancing with Vashti?They had just gotten together.Looking around the blonde npticed her dancing with someone else.Why would she dance with someone else?Glitter,sometimes the world was soooo confusing.Or maybe it was a Ravenclaws thing.A not so smart one.Smiling at the boy next to her the girl linked his arm."Lets go then,prince charming."

Of course Anakin had noticed the look on her face, and for a second she'd also appeared she was about to leave, which left the boy nearly frowning. Because if Fee hadn't heard him or something, and just walked away, he'd be the doofus standing there. Beaten to the punch by one guy, and then too quiet when asking his best friend. Wouldn't that have been fantastic? Hehhhh.

But he needn't have worried, Fee obviously had heard him because she turned and had a smile on her face, which was good because he didn't like the frowns, and affirmed she would dance with him. Beaming, Anakin chuckled as he saw her shoulders shake in a small giggle, before giving a tiny fist pump into the air. "Whoohooo! I get to dance with one of the prettiest girls in the room. SCORE." Be jealous other dudes in the room, besides perhaps Vashti's prat partner.

Seeing his friend's eyes glance around the room, Anakin turned his head as well, taking a small look back towards his original spot, and then to where Feenella's boyfriend was dancing with someone, then back to her as she linked her arm through his. Giving a tiny bow and gesturing for her to start walking first, Anakin winked slightly before laughing as she spoke. "Prince Charming!? Now I feel like we really have gone full circle. Kings, Queens, Glitter Princesses, Prince Charmings. Who knew Hogwarts was so full of royalty?" Heh. He was kidding of course. "So, I'm warning you now. I'm a dreadful dancer." He figured she deserved to know before he completely ruined her shoes or soemthing.

Wisteria walked in noticing some familiar faces which was a bit comforting. She wasn't gonna lie she was a bit nervous coming, not feeling confident about dancing, but would probably be good for her to get out more.

She walked to the sides with the beanbag cushions and eased herself down watching the pairs dance around. Some clearly nervous and clumsy and other who were really good, but who was she too judge she was a mess... or so she thought.

Aurora smiled, she liked dancing, she just wished she didn't have to do it...

"Well, not always. There are other things you can do, twirls and lifts and things but it all depends on what sort of waltz you're dancing, what piece of music is playing and generally how experienced a dancer you are." she explained. It was kind of complicated... there were a lot of different kinds of waltz. "So it's all... well, it all depends on different stuff."

Gideon tried not to appear too relieved as his foot hit floor and not foot as Selina moved in relative sync with him. "Yeah we did," he agreed with a bright smile of his own. One step down...however many more to go. As they continued to move with him leading, it became more and more easier to go with the flow rather then having to consciously think about every move they made.

"Uh uh, Skylar...I claim no such talent," he remarked with a smirk, denying that he had that much influence on what they had been doing. "It was a joint effort. As ye said earlier...WE did it."

Harlow smile and nodded up at him. "I can do that." she giggled. She took his hand and pulled him closer so she could lead him in a waltz around the room. She took a step forward forcing him to step back. "Have you ever been to a ball?" she asked him. She loved getting dressed up in her gowns and having her hair professionally styled.

João nodded back firmly. He trusted her now, so he was dancing without tensing his body too much. But, he did see Louisa's face and he frowned at her for a moment out of confusion. He was pretty pleased inside though, since that secured she was jealous. He liked the sound of it. It wouldn't put him off meeting India again, alone, of course, but it was good to know at least someone was jealous.

"A few more minutes, then I think I should dance with Louisa," he whispered to India's ear so that only she could hear. "She looks bored." No, actually she looked jealous and uncomfortable, but India didn't need to know that. She could observe it by herself, if she wanted.

Left foot forward, right foot to the back. Should I turn her around?

"If anyone needs a partner, I could dance with them." It wasn't that she was desperate,she just wanted to learn.

Fee couldnt help but laugh a little as Anakin fist pumped the air.He was just soo adorable sometimes.Even though he was three years older the blonde sometimes felt like watching her little brother.What was totally a good thing.She was more than grateful that he could cheer her up in less than a second."You are sooo freaky,Amstern",she shook her head,"but i love you for that.Girls be jealous,i got one of the hottest guys to dance with me.Hah."Whenever they were together there were those moments when they acted really obnoxious,but the Slytherin couldnt help but enjoy it.

Giggling a tiny bit as her best friend bowed to her the blonde glanced at Hugo and Vashti one last time.She really couldnt understand it but right now she didnt really care.Dancing with Anakin was as equally good as with Hugo.Yes.As the fourth year walked first her eyes wandered the dancefloor,searching for a good place.She chouldnt help but chuckle at the Hufflepuff as she heard him commenting about the royality of Hogwarts."Well you know Hogwarts gets only the best students",the fourth year wiggled her eyebrows,"after all we rule the castle."It was really funny how many people at Hogwarts thought alike.They were like a big,cool,lovely family."Ohh and you forgot the fair maiden",the blonde chuckled,"Emma Malfoy."Slytherin royality.Hehe.

Punshing Anakin in the side a little the blonde pouted at him."More confiiidence,mister",she winked,"i am sure you do great.Dont be so humble all the time."Fee had no idea how often she had told him to trust in himself already and she wouldnt stop until he actually did so."Lets get it on slowly",the girl smiled,"no pressure."she surely wasnt the best at dancing either,since she had never tried before.But this was for fun not for competetion.

Penny listened intently as Aurora explained about the dancing....

"Ok, so we just keep doing this until Mr Stryker tells us to stops..... I can do this though, who knew dancing could be enjoyable"....

Penny looked around at her fellow dancers, some were doing ok, others maybe not so much... And Mr Stryker and Professor Bentley seemed to be having fun too...

Looking at Aurora, Penny said "We can take a little break if you want".. Penny was having fun, but she wanted Aurora to have fun also.

Rafe thought he wasn't doing half bad. Given he wasn't going to be going professional anytime soon, but it was actually kind of fun to be dancing in this kind of style. He felt like if he ever had to do this at a ball or something he could get by.

"Well, I don't think you'd find me competing any time soon." Rafe grinned. That certainly would be a riot. Marilyn was so natural at this and Rafe looked a bit clunky in movements and for a little while he couldn't really tell who was leading who.

Again? Did she mean another spin?

He didn't even bother to ask, this time spinning her twice and then continuing in a one...two...three movement. "Like that?" He chuckled.

Minnie looked up at Harvey and smiled. "Ok Harvey it's time to move. You just follow my steps. When I move this foot you move that one." They started the waltz. After a few minutes Minnie noticed something. She looked around the room. Well this is not fair she thought. Minnie knew how to dance she had done it all her life. So she turned and looked at the two standing off to the side. "Umm one of you could join us if you would like." Minnie turned to Harvey and gave a sheepish smile. "I hope you don't mind I just feel so bad they are being left out." She hoped Harvey understood. She was able to spend all the time with him outside of class she could share him during class.

Harvey looked at her, how could he say no to her. As it is he DIDN'T want to say no. "Of course they can sweetie. They are most welcome to join" Harvey smiled
