A surly looking Mr. Stryker is seated on a bench. As you enter the gazebo, he'll motion for you to take a seat on either a pillow, beanbag, or good ol' concrete. Your choice.
Please, come in! The lesson will begin shortly (OOC: 4pm EST, 9pm GMT (I think...) tomorrow), so feel free to talk amongst yourselves.
Oh great. Neither one of them knew how to dance. Tori smiled weakly back at Auggie and shifted her weight from one foot to the other. Well. He seemed confident.
"What kind of dancing lessons?" She continued her interrogation. Princesses couldn't afford to break a toe or two whilst dancing! "Ballroom? Latin? Waltzing? Hip-hop?"
Could she really see August doing hip-hop? HEH.
As August waited for the Groundskeeper to give them the next set of instructions he was taken aback by Princess's question. "Oh uh, oh yeah, I took Waltz lessons." He began to chuckle at the thought of him doing hip hop or even latin.
August wasn't the dancing type. "Have you had any formal dancing lessons? Or hip hop?" he teased.

He turned back to the crowd. "Does everybody have a partner?"
He did! August DID!
He grabbed Tori's hand, without thinking, and then shot both of their's into the air. "We're ready sir!" he said cheerfully, and then realized he was holding Princess's hand. He dropped it quickly and then shoved both of his hands deep into his pockets. Whoops.

Earning points in classes as proving a bit addicting, after all, but this was something else entirely. Especially as she'd guessed they were going to be instructed to actually partner up and try to waltz. That had given her the odest awkward feeling, as well as a renewed wish that Risa had come with her from France. Her best friend would have either been silly and danced with her like a weirdo or found two guys amongst the crowd and dragged them over before they could get the attention of anyone else. Instead, she was stuck remembering last year when there had been that dance she'd gone to with Ethan for some event or another, shortly before she'd clued in that he wasn't exactly the person she'd thought he was.
Either way, as she'd been lost in her thoughts it seemed everyone else had gotten partners and it as down to making trios. She'd rather dance by herself, although she glanced toward the groundskeeper silently so he knew she didn't have a partner yet anyhow. Oh, more staff people showed up too, she noticed, stepping back toward the edge of the gazebo to let people have more room to dance and seeing that Professor Roslund and the Transfiguration professor had joined the healer. Maybe she could sneak away and talk to them if nobody noticed her, although she had a feeling they'd remind her to participate. Back to dancing by herself for the time being.
Another pair?
The Gryffindor had noticed that there really were not enough boys in attendance for the lesson they must have been smart enough not to come and that many girls were left alone or with other girls. August looked at Princess and then at a dark haired, slightly older girl not too far from them. "You don't mind if we add this other girl do you?" She shouldn't, they weren't dating, were they? August hadn't really had a girlfriend before but he was pretty sure asking someone to dance didn't make it that way.
He leaned over to the older girl and smiled. "Hey there, you wanna join us? I'm August Goldstein, and this is--" he just gestured at Princess/Tori because he wasn't sure how she wanted to be addressed.

Thea was left at the edge of the Gazebo. Frowning a little, she twirled a strand of her hair in her fingers. She could dance. If she was honest, she could dance well.. but obviously not brave enough to go and ask someone to be her partner. Proud may also be the word.. she was used to being asked not asking! Merh.
Tapping her foot, she began to chew her lip as her grey eyes swept around to spot a familiar face. Somebody may ask her.. eventually.
NO way no way was she dancing NEVER ever! besides she wasn't so stupid to walk up to somone and ask she could tap to the music anyway it would be just plain creepy dancing it wasn't a talent of hers!
She half smiled as she watched the others dance she sighed
Did you just lose something? The GAME? Sorry... 'Justin Bieber, he is the man!' U mad, Felton!?

"Besides," he said, turning toward her. "I can probably handle it." Yes, he said 'probably.' Because there was the chance that she wasn't exaggerating, and that she really was dangerous. But Dallin was confident that he could handle it. Yep.
Yeah, she never mentioned how terrible she was at dancing, did she? Heh. Whoops. Looks like Dallin was in for a surprise... But Ellie still took his hand, giving it a light squeeze. A sympathetic, pity squeeze, because she kind of felt bad for him. She took a deep breath. "Right. Hopefully I'll get better." Hopefully.
Ellie raised an eyebrow at him. He could probably handle it? "Well, someone is rather sure of himself." She said, accusingly with a sarcastic smirk. And again, Dallin was in for a surprise. He had no idea.
The one Girl that caught his attention was the one he was thinking about all along, and the fact that she was the Ravenclaw Prefect, this would be special Damon thought.
Damon strode up to her "Why Ivory i am surprised that as a Prefect you dont have someone to dance with yet, would you care to be my partner?" Damon asked.
Suddenly just as she'd been about to stand up to ask one of the younger girls to dance, a movement made her turn. Striding towards her was a boy that she was sure she'd seen around in their common room and in classes.
His voice penetrating her thoughts, Ivory blinked up at him long lashes casting shadows on her cheeks. Absentmindedly tucking a strand of honey brown hair behind her ear, Ivory resisted the urge to blush at the boy's comment.
With a shy smile, she stood up and nodded. "I would like that, thanks. I'm sorry I don't think I know your name. I'm horrible with them." she admitted with a soft sigh, vague amusement in her delicate features.

Damon figured that she would want to know his name "Im Damon 6th year and a fellow Ravenclaw" Damon noticed her shiny blue prefect badge and smiled. "Its okay if you can't remember names sometimes i forget others names as well and that of course requires me to write them all down on parchment." So you want to try and Dance?" asked Damon
Ohh this was just great.Really.Fee had imagined this dance lesson to be waaay different. But since he boyfriend had decided to dance with someone else the blonde just stood there looking like an idiot.Fine,no dance partner,no dance.Depressing, really depressing.
Sighing to herself the Slytherin just stood there in the corner and looked at all the couples that were dancing. Why hadnt Hugo waited for her?Okay, she was maybe a bit late but still. She would have waited. The whole lesson,if necessary.Well...just keep making a moron out of yourself,Fee.
" Come join us" William told Fee. " If Hugo does not dance with you, Eris, Janice and I will dance with you in a group" William said to Fee. " I may not be Rex, but I am a decent substitute" Willaim expalined to Fee. " Lucky me, I will be the only boy dancing with three girls" Willaim smiled.

At the request for the class to partner up, Lauren made a beeline for Orchid. The thought of not getting chosen by someone else was totally mortifying, and whilst there was someone else, a boy, in this class that she wouldn't mind dancing with, she just didn't like her chances.
So her closest friend it was! Lauren practically shouted at the girl upon approaching her "I call dibs on being your partner!" and then much quieter, "If that's okay with you..."
Partners?!
O.o
This is definetly not good. Orchid thought with fear. I so do not want to be last picked for partners.
There were tons of cute guys around the school but she doubted that any of them would pick her to dance with, that is if they didn't already have girlfriends of course.
Lauren!! Thank god! I have a savior! YES!
"Of course I'll be your partner, Lauren." She replied calmly and happily, while inside she was jumping for joy at not having to dance by herself, she had done that enough in her lifetime.

"Waltz lessons," Tori repeated to herself, hoping that that would be the dance they were learning today. "Waltz lessons." If so, then they would have a step ahead of the competition, and Tori wouldn't get any of her toes broken by Auggie.
That would be good.
Tori was suddenly distracted by her hand being flung in the air and then let go of. She frowned over at August; what, he didn't wanna hold her hand? Did he even WANT to be partners? Because there he was, asking yet another girl to dance with them.
Victoria Bunbury did not share. She wrinkled her nose at the Ravenclaw but offered her name anyway.
"Princess Victoria M. Bunbury, or Princess Tori for short."

Harlow smiled up at him, "That's a nice name for a boy. Kennedy." she repeated his name. "It's ok I'm not either. I just went to class with my sister." she explained.
She felt his hand relax in her grip. That was a good sign. "You're super tall you know that," she commented as they waited for the lesson to begin.
"You think?" he asked. Most of the time he didn't like his name. "Mom named me after a president," he commented, scrunching up his nose. Yep, something like Alan or Aiden would've been cool...maybe?
Kennedy slightly chuckled. "So, I've been told." Sometimes being tall was good...like he could reach things that were stored up high. Yeah, tall was great.

Destiny had gotten herself distracted.
She was trying to pay attention to all the different types of dances everyone was mentioning, but none of them held her interest. She didn't know any of them! Where was the pencil dance? How about back the bus up? How about the WORM!? They were all GOOD dances, and dances she herself had perfected.
Hmph.
Her attention wandered after that, wondering what she was doing there, and wondering who those other old people were that arrived at the gazebo. She tried her best to ignore and forget the fact that she greeted the Healer, after all, she was not fond of them types of people. And if she forgot she greeted her, in Destiny's eyes, it never happened. Yeah. But back to the other old people. The one looked somewhat familiar for some odd reason, and the guy..
Professor Magnus!
The woman was back! How did she manage to miss her at the opening feast? Probably because she was too busy arguing talking with Mia.. and.. everyone was moving around. What was going on!? It looked like everyone was partnering up and.. Destiny didn't want to dance with a partner! No, she wanted to dance on her own! But if she had to..
Pushing herself up to her feet, she glanced around, and noticing Evelyn and Josh being disgusting together, she shiftily made her way over. "Hey, guys." she drawled, a small smirk forming on her face. Hehe. "Can I join you?"

Vashti was honestly considering getting up and finding some place to hide when the professors weren't looking, and she might have started to stand up and execute her brilliant plan-
-when he came over.
Merlin. Why'd he come over to her? What happened to his "I can get any girl I want 'cause they all love me" or whatever he'd said? Were all the Hogwarts girls too smart for him? Saw right through him and knew how awful his personality was, did they?
Yeah. They probably did.
But...n'aww. He wasn't too bad when he was acting all awkward and stuff.
o___o
No. No, he was still awful and she still didn't like being around him, no matter how adorably awkward he was.
So of course, Vashti's first instinct was to say no and tell him to go away. But then a thought occurred to her. Who else would she dance with? She liked most people, especially Anakin, and even though she had sort of originally thought he might ask her to dance, she liked him too much to embarrass herself and stomp on his feet because of her horrible dancing. What if he cancelled their date to Hogsmeade because she'd stepped on his feet too much? Going to Hogsmeade with him was something she was really looking forward to and she didn't want that ruined.
On the other hand, she didn't like Will here. What did she care if she stepped on his feet while trying to dance? Maybe if she stomped stepped on them enough, he'd finally leave her alone forever.
Win-win, right?
All this went through her mind within seconds, and within that time, her glare at him slowly turned into something between a smirk and a smile.
"Sure," she said.
Wait....
Huh?
She had actually agreed to dance with him? Were his ears deceiving him? He almost said that to her too just to get on her nerves, but instead, he didn't say anything. All he did was let a slow smirk form on his face and it stayed there. Will shoved his hands in his pockets, leaning forward. "What about that bloke? He is your boyfriend, isn't he?" he asked her teasingly, motioning his head over in the kid's direction.
He deserved to have a little fun, didn't he? Right. He did.
"Oh and by the way, if you step on my feet, I step on yours," he added in his threatening way. Like he cared if she was a girl. His shoes were worth more than her, and probably some other girl, combined. It was only fair that she got her feet stepped on too.
It Kimalia a bit to notice Mitch looking down at her with raised eyebrows. "What? Do I have a bogie or something?" She covered her nose immediately just in case. Don't worry.. about what? She just kept blinking, he was acting mysterious to her before turning to the Professor's voice.
"Yes, we do sir." Kimalia raised both her and Mitch's joined hands to indicate that they weren't partner-less. Not that she could speak for the entire class, but hopefully they were paired up already so they could get the fun started.
He laughed loudly, but before he could answer, Kimalia had raised both their hands into the air and the Professor asked whether they all had a partner yet. Let the dance begin!
Rose smiled. 'Thank you! Are you two OK?' Rose smiled as she walked over to them. She was determined not to hurt either of them. She'd do her best.
"Yay! Hey again Rose!!! Of course we are ok!" Faven said to her friend. Turning to Justin, "Sorry about that!! I can't stay in one place for long...I like to wander and explore far too much! I'll try to stick around more!" Faven said awkwardly, she wasn't going to make friends this way. She couldn't really help it though, she got her adventurous spirit from her brother.

Still contemplating an escape to the knot of staff members nearby, and figuring she could just make an excuse to Matt later if he noticed she'd disappeared if they ever switched partners or anything, Stella had actually started to edge her way around to the entrance to the gazebo when she suddenly had a person in her way. A person she semi-remembered from the train ride here, even though she'd talked more to Paulie, and she stopped her edging as August spoke. "It's either that or trying to escape without Monsieur Stryker noticing," she said with a smile, as he actually introduced himself again. "I remember. You stepped into my compartment on the train? With your turtle?"
Of course, his red-headed partner didn't particularly look like she wanted to add a third to the group, and turning her attention to her, she trid to n ot look like she was deciding if the fact the girl was a Slytherin had anything to do with that. Probably not, although she couldn't say she knew the House that well only knowing one other Slytherin. The introduction told her more. "Stella Gardiner. It's nice to meet you Princess Tori," she said with another smile, wondering to herself what Tori was princess of. It almost had to be metaphorical, since she was pretty sure the redhead wasn't part of the royal family. "And I can always just take the second dance. However Monsieur Stryker does it." There, not sharing, not really. And she couldn't explain why she'd gone back to adopting a bit of Frenchness again. It had just sort of happened.

And then the hug. She had to smile at the hug, no matter how much she had to try and keep herself from falling over. "Of course, you..." she giggled quietly. Giggling apparently was a habit around Josh. JUST HER THOUGH. The other girls could laugh normally around him.

Of course, him!
Of course her partner was going to be him otherwise he would have been forced to kick whichever dude got her as a partner he would have never known what to do during this class. Still hugging her pretty much tightly but also making sure she would not die of suffocation, he leaned his head against her neck and was intending to stay that way...
...until Destiny's voice came to his ears greeting and, that moment made him lift his head immediately and look at her, asked to join them. What was that smirk on her face? Well...he was not sure of its source but it definitely made the boy think that perhaps Destiny Shepard was not as naive and innocent as she had seemed to be so far.
''Ummm...''
Josh looked at her and blinked, then looked at Evelyn, then back at Destiny and back at Evelyn.
He did not know what to say or if he could say anything without knowing Evelyn's idea about it. So, he only looked at his girlfriend...waiting for her decision instead. She was the one in charge.

"Why Madame, we are honored with your mere presence!" Faven said, joining it on the laughter. Yay HUGS!!! "School has been wonderful! I love all of my classes! One of the teachers is frightening though!" Faven shivered, thinking of her DADA Professor.....
Hearing her name, Mina turned her head and saw it was Daniel. They hadn't seen each other in sometime, but she smiled as she did remember the last time they did talk. "Not at all," she replied. "It's always nice to dance with a friendly face."
There wouldn't be any awkwardness with Daniel, seeing they did know each other and she had danced with his brother, so she was kind of just keeping it in the family. Dancing with brothers and all.
Daniel was relieved to hear Mina would dance with him! It meant that he didn't have to pretend to be good, she was his ....relative...somehow and anyway this way he wasn't attracted to his partner or wanting to impress her.
Daniel gave a little smile "...yeah, we have to talk more..." he said out of politeness, not that he didn't like Mina, she was the least annoying cousin he had, but he didn't mind too much if they didn't talk. He had other friends...who were absent now..
"Should we start?" Daniel asked raising his arms, he probably looked very stupid.

Now, when was the dancing going to begin?
The confusion at her response was clear on his face, and Vashti almost laughed aloud. This was incredibly amusing and it would only get even more so once they actually starting dancing and he discovered just how awful at dancing she was. It could also get a bit awkward, but she was trying to focus on the funny part. Hopefully she wouldn't have to focus for too long though. This class needed to be over soon.
Oh, but now he was smirking. This couldn't be- eh?
...Did he really just ask if Anakin was her boyfriend? Oddly enough she wasn't really opposed to the idea. Seemed strange though that Will would be the one to ask that though considering he'd said she would never get a boyfriend and would become a nun or something of that nature. Was he changing his mind?
"No," she answered him simply. Not yet anyway.
...
Where THAT thought came from, she wasn't sure.
And, what, was he a Legilimens now? Will already seemed to think she would purposely step on his feet. Which was more or less true, of course, but a few would probably be accidents too since she really was terrible at dancing. "Fair enough," she replied with a simple shrug. She was willing to bet her stomping stepping on his feet/shoes would frustrate and annoy him far more than it would her - she wasn't superficial like him and didn't care all that much about the shoes she was currently wearing. She liked them of course - otherwise she wouldn't be wearing them - but they weren't brand new or anything so it wasn't a big deal if they got ruined from this.

And just what did he have to be smirking for? Was he thinking he was pretty suave for a twelve-year-old? Heh. Because Ellie'd agree. From what she could recall.
Mmmm. It did, didn't it? She nodded. "Doesn't it?" That was her first term. FIRST. And now she was old and a FIFTH year. Weird.
Now Ellie smirked. "I disagree..." She took his other hand in hers. "I'm pretty sure you're already taken." He was her first choice as partner. She had dibs.
Oh. Hey. No fair. He could kiss her?
...He could, couldn't he? No one would say anything? Ellie didn't take her eyes off of him to check if a Professor saw or not, though. Nope.
Yes, it seemed like forever and ever ago. Probably why he couldn't remember much of it. Or none of it, truth be told. But he at least remembered that she was the one who'd taught him to dance, right? That was good.
Treyen nodded in agreement but said nothing else as he considered that IF it seemed like such a long time...THEN he had little time left at Hogwarts.
Aha! She almost made him sigh. Disagreeing, no matter how used he got to it, was still a bit annoying. And she always did it. Except...now...it was completely different and it even brought a smile to his face. Taken? "I like the sound of that, as long as I'm taken by you," or whatever, he couldn't think straight, and he'd failed to notice just how close he was to her, and it was even worse to have her eyes on him. If no Professors have been there, she would've gotten a kiss...that's what his eyes dictated after looking at her lips for a second.
MR. STRYKER! DISTRACT HIM!
RIGHT! Mr. Stryker was, like, right there. All of the sudden he was reminded that he was not alone in this...what was this? A Gazebo? What did that even mean? Whatever, Treyen actually chuckled and shook his head, as if trying to get rid of whatever thought occupied his mind at the moment. Much to his dislike, he only kept the hold on one of Ellie's hand and looked away from her. She needed to stop distracting him from the soon-to-be dancing lesson, right? Yet it was more of 'just dancing' for these two.
He'd been blushing since he spoke, by the way, he just didn't realize it.
