Elsie quickly turned both herself and Harvey around when she saw they were about to bump into a slytherin couple that were dancing together. "Sorry, just wanted to make sure we didn't bump into anyone! So do you like your house? I haven't met anyone else from ravenclaw yet!"

:claw:

"It's ok, I think it would be better if we didn't bump into anyone either.

Yeah its good, I have met some really nice people, to be honest any house other than slytherin is good for me. I had heard rumours while coming here on the train that people who go into slytherin go bad.

So I was happy when the hat selected Ravenclaw. Well I am sure you will meet more and more ravenclaw students as you go through school.
" Harvey was sure Elsie would meet more and more students as she went through school.

Turning back to Chad, Seren smiled. "Now... where were we?"

Then some students caught her eye that were not being very nice to Professor Bentely. Well that is not nice. Minerva thought. She had never spoken to a professor other than just answering a question in class, so she was nervous when she said, "Professor Bentely don't listen to them. I have done dance for many years and I think you are doing just fine for your first time."

Harvey suddenly heard Minnie's voice she was talking to Professor Bentley, someone was saying something bad about the Professor?

"Professor I agree with Minnie, if they were saying bad things then dont listen to them." Harvey watched her dance "You are not bad at all Professor, you dance better than I am. :) "

Harvey continued dancing with Elsie

And he stepped on her foot!

"I'm so sorry!" he exclaimed, taking a step back immediately to have a look at her foot. He hadn't stood there more than two seconds, but still it was all his fault.

He would make up once the class was finished.

"No. It's all right. It was my fault." Smiling apologetically at him. It wasn't the pain that made her blush, the embarrassment. Seriously, couldn't she just be normal and coordinated? "I didn't move on time. Let's try again." Yes, she'd just asked for more, take that people who thought she was a grumpy brokenhearted girl.

Taking the position of the dance again Louisa started moving her feet carefully, not looking down at the ground this time but she wasn't looking into his eyes either. She just kept her gaze on his Slytherinish shirt. Surprisingly, she hadn't tripped or stomped on his foot yet.

This was finally working for her.

Fluid, gentle, swift movements while Ellie was practically tap-dancing. Yeah, it kinda helped when Dallin steered her around with his hand on her back, but she could barely keep up and remember which way she was supposed to go that the steering almost didn't even make a difference in her horrible dancing.

It only made it worse that once they finished a stupid round or whatever of a couple dancing steps, that Dallin made them go the opposite direction. It was just too much confusion at this point, and Ellie was getting frustrated. Her face was hard as she tried to concentrate on the steps, but it just wasn't working. She ended up tripping on her own feet and stomping on Dallin's toes.

Stopping abrubtly, Ellie closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "I'm sorry." She said quietly. For two things: stomping on his toes, and being a terrible dancer. She kind of just wanted this lesson to be over so she could just eat her feelings and cry about how embarrassing this was.

... Ouch.

Dallin grimaced as she stepped on his toes. You'd think it wouldn't be too bad, but... he could feel it, definitely. He stopped along with her, lowering their hands but keeping hers in his. Ellie didn't look too good... she looked almost frustrated. Really frustrated.

Trying to lighten the mood, he nudged her shoulder lightly. "Hey, I'm sure I've danced with worse. It's okay." He didn't even mind if she wasn't that good. More time to spend working with her on it, right?

This whole dancing scene was a bit awkward for him, he was nervous and that could only bring problems like stepping on her feet or doing something stupid. Usually, Nikolas didn't get nervous but today nerves had betrayed him. He took a deep breath before dancing and Emma answered if she was ready. "Good to know" he nodded and listened what he had to do first "Oh okay. Let's see if I do it right" he smiled a bit. After placing his hand on her back he noticed Emma blushed a bit Aha so she was nevous too?. He was glad to know he wasn't the only one, he was looking at their feet before taking a step forward and looked up when he heard Emma addressing him. "Nervous? nah, not at all" he said trying to sound as confident as he could. On second thought "Well...maybe a bit" he admitted.

So, this was the moment of truth. Oh wait she was saying another thing. "Don't worry" he chuckled "I'll be careful and you won't get injured" he assured her. Nikolas did as Emma told him and with his left foot moved forward and started dancing...or that's what he thought he was doing. "So...what do you think? Am I doing it right?" he asked, looking at her.

Emma shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly and shook her head, poking her tongue out at him briefly. "Maybe I am.. But maybe I'm not," she added, trying to sound mysterious. Mwahaha. Bwahaaha! Emma, MYSTERIOUS? I think not.

Wait? Did he see her blush? Oh Merlin. Ha.. So he wasn't nervous? Emma raised an eyebrow suspiciously yet she didn't say a word. Hmmm... And after Nikolas admitted that he was a little nervous, she laughed. "Ah, so not Mr. Tough guy after all?" she teased in a flirty way. Woah. No. Emma don't flirt with Nikolas. No, no, no. Bad Emma. But he was cute.

Emma raised her eyebrow again. Ha, yeah. Like she'd believe that but Emma decided to take the comment with a grin of salt. Hmmph. The Malfoy bit her lip to avoid from saying something else and soon the two of them were moving. He was leading her. Emma's eyebrows slowly moved up in a gesture of surprise at how well he was doing. Meeting his eyes with her brown ones, she beamed at him. "Yeah. You're doing it.... Merlin, Nikolas. You're doing the dance perfectly. I swear.. Have you danced before?" she said, in a curious voice as she gave the handsome Snake a suspicious look.

Ellie looked down when Dallin let go of her, except one hand. She felt embarrassed and frustrated that she couldn't even get these steps down. They seemed simple enough! But once she tried moving, it was like her brain wasn't sending the right messages to her feet.

His next remark certainly didn't help. In fact, it made it a whole lot worse. Ellie yanked her hand out of his and folded her arms. "Yeah, that makes me feel real good." She said, obviously irritated.

Glaring off to the side, Ellie thought about just ditching class now. No one would mind if she just... left, right? It would probably relieve Dallin and his stupid toes.

He stared at her as she looked off. He glanced at Mr. Stryker and a couple other dancing couples before returning his gaze to Ellie. "Are you alright?" No, obviously not.

Megannn! <3

From the MOMENT she found that there was going to be a Dance class Violet was screaming at the top of her lungs! She was going to be attending a class that she could do what she loved to do best on a regular basis! Violet even noticed that she wasn't the only one having fun, she happened to notice that little Miss Selina and & Mr. Gideon were tending to have quite an interesting time. Whenever she could, Violet would keep trying to give Selina pointers and she thought that Selina would take them, just to be safe. But clearly that didn't do anything when she saw her and Gideon end up falling over. Violet gasped and covered her mouth and her violet eyes darted to Chris and then said,"Do you think they're alright?"

Maybe Ellie was overreacting about this a little bit... BUT, she didn't care. She was frustrated at herself and this stupid dance class. She had so looked forward to it, but now she just wanted it to end. You really aren't that bad. OH. JOKES. Ellie rolled her eyes. "Liar." She muttered under her breath.

And his question seemed a little silly to her. Did she look alright? Probably not. Did she sound alright? Probably not. So, was she alright? "No. I suck at dancing and you know it."

Christopher dragged his feet on the ground as Violet pulled him toward that stupid dance class. He had no intention of making a bigger fool of himself than necessary. It was bad enough that she was screaming at the top of her lungs, but even worse that he couldn't dance. At all.

But as he look over at Selina and Gideon, he saw that he was not alone. He smirked over at her from over his shoulder, as it seemed she and Gideon were getting along quite well. Quite well indeed. "I think they'll be just fine," he mused, raising his eyebrows.

As they stood there observing, Christopher became very aware of all of the dancing couples around them. He knew his time was coming near. Kicking his feet, the fourteen year old looked around, not wanting to look at Violet. She'd make him dance if he did. He really didn't want that.

Emma called him clumsy! now he felt hurted. "Yes you diiid!" he accused her "You hurt my feelings" he teased. He knew when it comes to dancing he was on the list of worst dancers, so he didn't mind being called clumsy.

No, Mr. Nikolas was not -I repeat- was not nervous at all. It was perfectly clear Emma was nervous. Hehe. It was kind of cute to see her blushing. But anyways, he had to admit that yees...he was a bit nervous. "Pfft. I'm still Mr. Tough! nothing scares me" he smirked. Except for spider, but Emma didn't need to know right? Nope. He was up to the challenge of showing his dance skills even if they weren't the best ones.

And yees, he was gonna be careful when dancing.

Now the two slytherins were moving...actually dancing. And nothing was going wrong. Yay for him and Emma who was a good dance partner. Nikolas met Emma's eyes which were pretty and what? he was doing it perfectly? Really? Him? Who would have guess! "Really?" he beamed. If only his sister could see him right now dancing...perfectly. Ha! "Me? danced before? Never" he shook his head "Now that I think about it..." he said in a thoughtful manner "I have" he admitted "My sister forced me to dance with her on one of her birthdays".

She's also part French but she's amazingly American, not even British. She loves Aspen, that's why the house in Dorset should've gone to him instead of her. But, yeah, whatever.

Wait...where were they? French. Right. "Hmmm, if I get lost then I'll be able to find my way by asking directions and speaking to the locals about simple things...but...I probably wouldn't understand a lecture at any University or something like that," so, that's what the basics were for, right? Meeting people and asking for directions. "I'd do fine if travelling alone," he nodded, not that he would want to do that, it'd be mighty boring. That's why he traveled with Aaron last year. The language had come in handy while they were in Luxembourg, yet it wasn't necessary for either of the boys to speak it.

The FIVE words she knew? "Which are the five words you know?" besides Mademoiselle and Monsier. His smile got wider, "I will, whenever you want me to." And...no books. We promise.

Whaaat? No, he DIDN'T. Treyen shook his head but still managed to smirk, a little, and only spoke once Chad and Seren where back to dancing and focusing on each other...which was something very wrong of Stryker, don't you think? He ought to be watching them dancing, just to see if the students got the hang of it, yes? Like Vindictus had.

Left, right, left again, another twirl, and...Seren and Chad wouldn't hear this time since he moved farther away from them, "She broke her own concentration, not really my fault." He was still holding true what he'd said, about Seren being a natural. She was, and she looked rather pretty while dancing too.

The hold on Ellie was no longer a loose one, but a slightly tighter one as they swayed away from the unfazed Groundskeeper.

So Treyen knew just a bit more than 'the basics'. What Ellie knew, that was the basics. But Treyen could actually talk to people. She wrinkled her nose when he mentioned a University lecture. Who would want to go to one of those, anyway? It was just silly to go to one in a different language.

That was good, though, she supposed. If he ever were travelling alone...in France...for whatever lonely reason, he wouldn't be hopeless. It was kind of admirable, that he was semi-bilingual.

Oh, Merlin. "Monsieur and Mademoiselle." He knew that, though, from just before. "Oui means 'yes'." And it just occurred to her that she hadn't the faintest idea as to the French word for 'no'. You would think you'd learn opposites at the same time. "Bonjour is 'hello'." Right? And again, another she didn't know the opposite to. She had no idea how to say 'goodbye'. But that was okay, she supposed, because she never liked saying goodbye even in English. "And mercy is 'thank you'." Or something like that. Mhhhm. That was five, right?

"I'll keep that in mind." Whenever she wanted to. Whenever she remembered. Or whenever she felt like it. Chances were, she'd forget. But the OFFER was there. And that was what was important.

Hehe. She loved dancing with him. She didn't care if he wasn't the best. He was pretty good, though. He definitely wasn't the worst. But it was just so much better with him. Better than dancing with Dallin or Conan.

And, right. Bentley did it to herself. "Of course." Nod. He could think that.

Violet could tell when she first told Christopher about the dance class he didn't want to go at all and seemed to be dreading it. But she kept trying to tell him that it would be fun and it would be a good bonding experience for the both of them...it didn't seem to be working very well. When she had asked Chris if he thought the clumsy duo were alright she heard him smirk and Violet gasped and gently smacked him on the shoulder. Then she said,"That is not funny Chris...Okay...Maybe a little..But that's beside the point...Now...Dancing is not as complicated as you're thinking.." She then said,"Now first place your left hand on my waist.." She lifted her arms waiting for him to do so. "Next our other hands are held, but both of our arms need to be lifted when you're dancing...Alright?" Violet smiled brightly.

Chad finally slowed down his and Seren's dancing, coming to a full halt. As much fun as this was, the class had gone on long enough for the day and he was pretty sure that the student body had been tortured enough. "Thank you very much, Mademoiselle," he smiled, gently kissing the back of her hand in thanks. Mmmhmmm, take notes, boys. That's how real gentlemen acted.

He clapped his hands together to get the classes attention again. "Okay, students! I think that that is enough for today. In appreciation, everyone will receive points for their participation*"

Go figure. Ellie had to make a face at those words. Truly, University and lecture weren't the most fun things to attend to, especially to her, but he was only mentioning one example. He should've said that he wouldn't understand the boring stuff, right? And then Ellie would be on board?

He smiled...at every single word she said...as they swayed from one side to the other...her eyes had made it difficult for him to keep on focusing on dancing. That totally negated what he said about Bentley and being able to focus, by the way. "Beyond lovely." SERIOUSLY, but..."Merci, of course, we ought to thank Stryker for the lesson, right?" he was talking about the French lessons Ellie got without being aware of them.

The boy also nodded. If she ever wanted French lessons...she knew she could to Stryker or to Treyen. He'd rather have her come to him, though, not Stryker.

There was another twirl somewhere in there, or whenever Treyen thought of it as appropriate, since Stryker never mentioned anything about twirling....but....wait....

...blink.

Class dismissed.

He stopped all of the sudden, but kept one of Ellie's hands on his. "As always...it's a pleasure dancing with you," a wink went her way, he was being much less simpler than when he was twelve, right? He wasn't going to kiss her hand, though, that was for OLD people. Treyen kissed her cheek lightly again. As a way of saying 'thanks for the dance' or something along those lines.

And if Ellie had no other place she needed to be after this...she was free to join him.

After getting back into the swing of things Seren was thoroughly enjoying herself. The nerves had started the fade and she could simply enjoy the experience. It didn't mean she was much better yet, but it was a start. Baby steps after all.
"No no, thank you! It was my pleasure," she smiled giving Chad a little nod of the head. How very chivalrous. If only all men were as polite.

Stepping back Seren watched as the students came to a halt. They looked as though they'd had fun. Brilliant!

Speaking of João, she suddenly became aware of his hand catching hers - the sweaty hers that is - and was about to look up at him when he leaned in and whispered. Louisa's lungs tightened and she stopped breathing for a second. Pheeeeeew, he was just talking. Good. Because she was.. kind of.. you know... nervous.

Moving her gaze up to match his, she smiled, "Yeah. Su-"r,. but the word was lost in the loud gasp Louisa gave when she didn't move her foot in the right time causing HIM to stomp on HER foot - and even if his foot was over hers, it was her fault.

Who said people never talked and waltzed at the same time? SHE DID! UGH!

India had began watching everyone dancing when she finally looke dback to her two lovely dance partners she couldn't help but wince. Ouch. That looked painful. It looked like it needed ice or something fast.

She didn't notice at first but she even whimpered herself. Not everyone could dance and talk at the same time - only people who knew the timing she guessed. If Louisa ever wanted help she would offer her own help later...after all it was only nice of her.

India hadn't noticed the little lean in and whisper that João had pulled off with Louisa...but still, glancing over them once more she didn't even notice that her eyes lingered on him a little bit longer than they did on Louisa. His accent - sometimes - well more than sometimes made her own heart flutter like tiny little butterfly wings...but she wasn't loud about it. She was quit, cheeks turning more pink like she had doused on a little bit more blush in the time out of dancing. Which wasn't good - since she hadn't lost all the redness form the dance.

The name didn't ring a bell. Younger than her sister? Maybe they were twins? That was the only logical explanation Presley could come up with. Presley laughed. "I can't recall ever meeting her." Presley almost answered no, when Prue asked her about siblings, but caught herself just in time. "I have an older brother. He works in the ministry," she replied with pride. She really was so proud of her brother, but it was easy to forget that he was a sibling, because he was so much older, he was more like a parental figure that a brother.

Prue followed Presley's lead, not really thinking about the steps, that was one of the good things about dancing the girls part, she'd been doing it for ages and had to think about it a lot less. "Yeah... thought so, she is a bit shy. Your brother sounds cool! Which department does he work in?" Prue asked, hoping she wouldn't mind that she was kind of delving into a more private aspect of her life, but truthfully she was curious, her mother being a muggle and her father not working in the ministry at all.

"Well, that is all. Class dismissed!"

Penny was having way too much fun dancing, she was still surprised to discover that this was an enjoyable past-time.

And the Mr Stryker said class was dismissed.... Penny looked at Aurora and said.. "Thank you for being my partner, that was really fun", giving Aurora a quick hug of thanks..

Ellie couldn't keep from smiling, but her eyebrow also went up. "Liar." 'Beyond lovely'? Nooo. That most likely was the farthest thing from the truth.

Merci? Merci/Mercy, what was the difference, really? "Most certainly." He meant the dance lessons, yeah? And she would. She would just be doing so in English.

They continued dancing...and twirling until Stryker announced dismissal and Treyen...stopped. Just stopped. She bit her lip and blushed a bit. Ellie wouldn't say something quite so fancy, but it was ALWAYS a pleasure dancing with him. "Let's go for a walk?" She wasn't really asking. And she couldn't imagine it would be a very long walk. Just until they arrived somewhere else. Somewhere that didn't have five Professors standing around.

"Good lesson, Stryker. Thanks." In English. "And...see you, Bentley," Ellie said, though her eyes were on Treyen as she gently pulled him along with her, out of the gazebo.
