Chad made a slight face, but managed to keep quiet as Seren trodded on his foot. He shook his foot a little and then shrugged. "Eh, it will live," he chuckled. Now wait, what was this? Treyen? What was the silly boy up to, now? |
Text Cut: Treyen, Bentley, and Stryker! Ohhh. That made more sense. "Just because you're part French, it doesn't mean you know the language." Or she'd be fluent in....actually, no. Ellie was pretty much as British as it got. How boring. "How basic are the basics?" Really, just how much French does he actually know? Like...if they went to France, would he be able to converse with the locals? Hehehe. She narrowed her eyes back at him. She was doubting it, though, that she'd be taller than him. Ever again. Her robes stopped rising above her ankles a while ago. Actually, as far as she could tell, she hadn't grown at all in a while. Not that she ever paid much attention to that. It was only with Treyen, really, that she thought about her height. Was he serious? "What, the five words I know?" Literally. At least, at the moment, she could only think of five words she knew...maybe. "You'll have to teach me, then. With your vast vocabulary." Or his basic vocabulary. Whatever. "You broke her concentration," she repeated after the Professor, complete with a confirming nod. Hehe. Maybe they were just dancing a bit too close to Bentley for her to hear him, though. Ellie eyed Bentley and nodded, agreeing with what Treyen was saying about her dancing. Either Bentley was a natural, or didn't care about messing up as much as Stryker seemed to. Aaaand twirl. SEE, Bentley. Dancing was FUN. Regardless of how good you are at it. |

Right and now she didn't have to keep count because she had foung his rhythm so she could easily go along with him without keeping count. She smiled. She stood out even in her uniform? How aweseome sauce was that?"You're right I am." She beamed at him. Cassie sighed a little and a look of sadness crossed her features for a second or two."Yeah..I am graduating this term.." How sad was that right? |

"Ish, I think? I mean, I did Ballet before...." |

"Ballet?" Now there was something Eris could only dream of doing, all that pointy feet stuffs required more coordination than her mind could process. "Okay, so I put my hand at your waist..." Eris positioned her self with a bit of thought since she was now doing the opposite as last time. "and then yours on my shoulder." Eris grinned with a nod as she figured yup, this sounds right. "Then just kinda do the opposite of whatever I do, so instead of thinking "Left right side blah....kinda just try to see my foot about to come forward and use that as a cue to move your opposing foot back." She always felt this was the easier thing to do, as you didn't have to think as much and could focus on the actual moment more. Then again, some people, probably like those in ballet, needed to count meticulously in their head. |
SPOILER!!: Chad and Ellie Seren really did feel terrible about the whole thing and tried to focus on dancing and not stepping on Chad's feet. But she couldn't contain herself, she laughed lightly as Ellie reprimanded Treyen. Now there was a golden couple if ever she saw one. Two quidditch orientated minds... Turning back to Chad, Seren smiled. "Now... where were we?" |

Aurora caught site of an eagle owl touched down just outside of the gazebo, it stared at her... did it want her..? She ignored it; she'd get the letter from it later if it was for her. "So, we could make it more complicated if you like?" she said, turning back to Penny. |

Eino, from Aspen's limited exposure to him, didn't seem the type to idly give praise he didn't mean. So this brilliant business brought on a bout of proud blushing. She had her moments with brilliance, she'd allow that. ... Okay. Triple meter. Left step... right step... left. Left right left. Left right left. Backwards, backwards, forwards. Or something like that. She missed a few steps in and among it all, but wasn't exactly bothered. "That's nice," the humming. Several people around them were actually saying which direction to, which foot to step with, and watching their feet and all. Aspen and Eino's chicken wing directions were much more discrete and therefore better to Miss Odessa. "You've danced before then." He really wasn't bad at all, but wasn't making Aspen feel inferior. The whole thing... was... oddly nice. |

Yep, she was going to learn. |

João was doing very good, too. He managed to follow her. The only thing was that she wasn't looking at him, her feet had their own mind so it only made sense to watch them, okay? |

It only made it worse that once they finished a stupid round or whatever of a couple dancing steps, that Dallin made them go the opposite direction. It was just too much confusion at this point, and Ellie was getting frustrated. Her face was hard as she tried to concentrate on the steps, but it just wasn't working. She ended up tripping on her own feet and stomping on Dallin's toes. Stopping abrubtly, Ellie closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "I'm sorry." She said quietly. For two things: stomping on his toes, and being a terrible dancer. She kind of just wanted this lesson to be over so she could just eat her feelings and cry about how embarrassing this was. |

"Always," he answered with a small smile accepting the offered hand and getting back up to his knees and finally his feet. He could help being reminded on the time in the 5th floor corridor when she helped him before when he had helped pick up all her sketches. See that was a normal situation. "Perhaps we should take a break...hmm?" he asked stepping aside for a passing pair of dancers. After all they had been going for a while with the same movements and perhaps maybe soon the professor would move onto something new. |

"Not yet?" She repeated with a laugh. "That would be something; best dancing couple. We'd blow everyone out of the water." "Sure..." She replied. "When I move one leg...say my right leg forward, then you move the opposite leg backwards, your left leg." She stepped forward again. "Right...and your left. Then my left...and your right. The female partner usually follows the male lead." She stepped again, right...and then left once Indy had followed suit. "A little better?" |

Once she was up and he was up as well she crossed her arms awkwardly and shifted her feet back and forth. Was it just her perception of things or was the air now very tense? It was not like she had never touched him before; they had danced together and hugged before, so why was this so awkward? Maybe because she had never been THAT close to a boy before. Ugh, she was so embarrassed it was criminal. When he suggested they take a break she played with the ends of her red hair, "Yeah, maybe that would be best." |

I'm cutting it to the dance part. Hope you won't mind :) Quote:
Their conversation was going great. She didn't stammer much, which meant he didn't scare her anymore. Good. Although he was standing right there, he is brain didn't seem to register much of her chattering. Why? Well, he was going over stuff. Stuff like dancing. Kurumi kept mentioning about how she never got the chance to dance properly, right?. This could only mean one thing. She wanted to dance. The dilemma? All the guys were taken except him. But he was genetically incapable of dancing. He cannot betray his genes and offer to be her partner. But he was sweet. "I'm sweet." He mumbled while she went on about how dance-o-phobia asked grace and poise to be more lady-like. And then, Ezra Prokopowicz Blackwood came out of his trance. "Do you want to dance?" He asked quickly, taking her hand in his. "We CAN do this." He beamed, looking excited for the first time since he joined the classroom. He will nail this. Whaa-paa! |

Speaking of João, she suddenly became aware of his hand catching hers - the sweaty hers that is - and was about to look up at him when he leaned in and whispered. Louisa's lungs tightened and she stopped breathing for a second. Pheeeeeew, he was just talking. Good. Because she was.. kind of.. you know... nervous. Moving her gaze up to match his, she smiled, "Yeah. Su-"r,. but the word was lost in the loud gasp Louisa gave when she didn't move her foot in the right time causing HIM to stomp on HER foot - and even if his foot was over hers, it was her fault. Who said people never talked and waltzed at the same time? SHE DID! UGH! |

tehehe! Not at all *nods* let the chaos begin? Quote:
However, in the next instant her cheeks were on fire again as his hand closed around hers. Feeling flustered all over again, but feeling ridiculous for being so since she knew that this was going to eventually happen - the having to dance bit, not that she would be dancing with Ezra. She nodded her head and a small smile appeared on her lips. "I am glad that you are confident," she half giggled. Now...what was she supposed to do first? "I think...my hand goes here?" she asked as she rested her right hand on his shoulder. Or did it go on his waist? Her hands began doing their own awkward dance between resting on his shoulder and his waist. Yep...this was going to be interesting. |

And he stepped on her foot! "I'm so sorry!" he exclaimed, taking a step back immediately to have a look at her foot. He hadn't stood there more than two seconds, but still it was all his fault. He would make up once the class was finished. |
Text Cut: Ellie, just Ellie Yes, he was well-aware of that. Kaika even pretended that she couldn't understand a single word of what was being said and he was certain she could. She's also part French but she's amazingly American, not even British. She loves Aspen, that's why the house in Dorset should've gone to him instead of her. But, yeah, whatever. Wait...where were they? French. Right. "Hmmm, if I get lost then I'll be able to find my way by asking directions and speaking to the locals about simple things...but...I probably wouldn't understand a lecture at any University or something like that," so, that's what the basics were for, right? Meeting people and asking for directions. "I'd do fine if travelling alone," he nodded, not that he would want to do that, it'd be mighty boring. That's why he traveled with Aaron last year. The language had come in handy while they were in Luxembourg, yet it wasn't necessary for either of the boys to speak it. The FIVE words she knew? "Which are the five words you know?" besides Mademoiselle and Monsier. His smile got wider, "I will, whenever you want me to." And...no books. We promise. Whaaat? No, he DIDN'T. Treyen shook his head but still managed to smirk, a little, and only spoke once Chad and Seren where back to dancing and focusing on each other...which was something very wrong of Stryker, don't you think? He ought to be watching them dancing, just to see if the students got the hang of it, yes? Like Vindictus had. Left, right, left again, another twirl, and...Seren and Chad wouldn't hear this time since he moved farther away from them, "She broke her own concentration, not really my fault." He was still holding true what he'd said, about Seren being a natural. She was, and she looked rather pretty while dancing too. The hold on Ellie was no longer a loose one, but a slightly tighter one as they swayed away from the unfazed Groundskeeper. |
