Elsie quickly turned both herself and Harvey around when she saw they were about to bump into a slytherin couple that were dancing together. "Sorry, just wanted to make sure we didn't bump into anyone! So do you like your house? I haven't met anyone else from ravenclaw yet!" |

Getting ready too when she was, he slooowly moved a leg forward for her to catch it. Then he moved the other to the side--all the time watching her eyes. "You should continue from now on," he said with a smile. Only then could she get some confidence, no? |
Quote:
WHAT? Do that on her own? O__o She looked up at him nervously and nodded - it was a lesson after all. With another loud inhale she took a step forward with her right foot to... ..step on his. Her eyes widened as she lost the balance and hugged his torso to refrain from falling, nobody needed to see that, right? |

Hey, so far so good. No embarrassments yet, no falling and no broken bones. All seemed rather well. "Plus you're doing most of it - I'm just trying to follow you," she added, then tilted her head to the side as she looked down. "So, if I move my foot back now, like this," and she stepped back, "you have to step forward? Is that it?" One person forward, the other backward. Did it work like that sideways? |
Kennedy returned the smile. "I guess it wasn't as complicated as I thought. Not bad for a first time, eh?" His first dance was with a first year. Wow. "Oh," he nodded in understanding. He didn't know those kinds of events still existed. Well at least, not where he lived, but it did sound similar to something his cousin had. "Like a Quinceañera," he said. He had to get all dressed up for it...bleh. Kennedy almost laughed at her answer, but it was an intimidating thing, dating...for him...at...the...moment. "Well you don't have to do all those things if you don't want to, you know. You're still young for that," he said, mimicking her blush. He didn't regularly talk about dating, and Harlow was too young to be doing that in his opinion. He didn't know what the heck the order of merlin meant, but it sounded important. "That is so cool!" It'd be nice to be there. A Wizarding award celebration, that would be the highlight of the year. "Yeah, I'd like to go then...if it's okay with your parents." He didn't want to be rude and intrude on a special occasion like that and he would probably have to get a fancy suit for that, right? M'hm. |

"Yes, I'm fine," he answered stopping as soon as he noticed she did to avoid any issues with their movements. However as he did he had moved a little too quickly and slipped up and soon found himself falling backwards towards the gazebo's floor. The 4th year letting go of their joined hands so he could catch his fall as the other slipped from behind Selina's shoulder. |

The blonde glanced down at their feet again, and waited for Paulie to make the first move. She had the lucky part? She was the one who had to guess what the next move was! If these classes continued they would eventually have to learn without looking at their feet. "I'm not so sure about that." She said quickly stepping back. She stepped to the right, then foward, then left, and back one last time. She smiled and looked at her partner. "Well, we survived out first time!" They deserved a prize for not stepping on each other. "Should we try again?" |

She looked at him, "Like a what?" she asked. She was pretty sure he wasn't speaking English, but she only knew French. Though she wanted to learn a few more languages. It would be nice to write a book in Japanese, she thought to herself. Harlow's face wasn't as red as before. It seemed talking about that stuff made Kennedy blush too. "Yeah I don't want to do any of that stuff. Bleh," she made a face and her tongue hung out of her mouth. Harlow nodded and grinned. "It will be so much fun." she told him. It would be nice to have a friend coming along. "Oh my mom will be happy they won't mind. Honet. We're having a huge party at our house after the ball." This was going to be fun. "Where are you from?" she asked him suddenly. She didn't know anything about him other than his name. |

This whole dancing scene was a bit awkward for him, he was nervous and that could only bring problems like stepping on her feet or doing something stupid. Usually, Nikolas didn't get nervous but today nerves had betrayed him. He took a deep breath before dancing and Emma answered if she was ready. "Good to know" he nodded and listened what he had to do first "Oh okay. Let's see if I do it right" he smiled a bit. After placing his hand on her back he noticed Emma blushed a bit Aha so she was nevous too?. He was glad to know he wasn't the only one, he was looking at their feet before taking a step forward and looked up when he heard Emma addressing him. "Nervous? nah, not at all" he said trying to sound as confident as he could. On second thought "Well...maybe a bit" he admitted. So, this was the moment of truth. Oh wait she was saying another thing. "Don't worry" he chuckled "I'll be careful and you won't get injured" he assured her. Nikolas did as Emma told him and with his left foot moved forward and started dancing...or that's what he thought he was doing. "So...what do you think? Am I doing it right?" he asked, looking at her. |

When Gideon hit the floor on his back Selina put her hands out in front of her and she landed directly on his chest. Her blue eyes were clenched shut as she lay on top of him. In her head she went through if every body part seemed to be functioning and if any part of her was in pain. Nothing was hurt, she was fine. Suddenly her eyes shot open, she knew why she was fine... she had a pillow. Her hands were still resting on his chest when she patted his chest to try and stir something out of him, "Gideon? Gideon? Are you alright?" She waited for some kind of answer, some kind of reply and stayed right where she was. |

He took a few steps back and made sure no one was around. He started to get a beat and then broke out into a simple breakdance. Rafe took a few moments to catch his breath and then went back over to Marilyn. "Now that makes be a dancer." He laughed. |
Alice smiled to herself; she's been practicing her feet by herself, and she was actually getting good. All it took was determination, hardwork, and finding a hallway with a painting that waltz. Now all she needed to solve the no partner problem. But that could wait later. She continued practicing her steps, and her form. |

No wait...the nurse was there at the lesson...wasn't she? "Ug...." he groaned softly having hit the stone floor harder then he would have liked. His hands having been little use as he fell back. It was only then that he realized he had a weight on his stomach. "I... think so," he answered finally opening his eyes only to spot Selina indeed on top of him and while the earlier scene had been ackward, now was even worse and he could feel his skin coloring at least at his ears. "What about ye? I'm sorry for bringing ye down with me." he questioned as he appologized to her. He had certainly tried his best not to cause her to fall, it had been why he had let her go. |

O.o Not that this meant anything... She was just saying... Ugh, anyway... "Well, I can't do that...So, I'll stick to my girly style of dancing." Not that she'd ever tried. It just seemed incredibly difficult. "So, what are you wanting to try next?" |

Then her eyes traveled to his ears which were now turning red. Only then did she become fully aware of what position they were in... this was awkward. She cautiously replied, "It's okay, not your fault... domino effect." Then she averted her eyes from his and asked sheepishly, "I-I, um, should get off of you right?" Merlin, this was uncomfortable. |

Kennedy hadn't taken into account that Harlow might not know what a Quinceañera was. "It's similar to the debu-whatever-ball you just described. When a girl turns fifteen she celebrates going into womanhood by having a Quinceañera. It's like a ball, the girl wears a big dress and everyone dresses up all fancy." He scrunched his nose at the last part. He didn't like being all fancy. He smiled crookedly at her answer. "Yeah, it's gross." It was a joke. That's what she thought right now. Harlow seemed really excited about it. Who wouldn't. "Okay, as long as they're okay with it." Because he didn't want to mess with no one, especially grown wizards. "I'm guessing I'll have to dress nice?" he said, as a playful smirk appeared on his face. |
Text Cut: Ellie Part I Wait. Didn't they talked about this a couple years ago? Treyen tilted his head to one side, "I am part French, my mom was born and raised in France, well, the Muggle side of my family is...I should be almost fluent in that language...but I don't think I am. I know the basics, but I'm not fluent at it," yet the basics, he could pronounce pretty well. Hey! He and Stryker could so practice, right? Maybe, maybe not. Treyen could still practice with his family if he wanted to...but he didn't, he'd rather listen to them speaking in English instead. Fun times. Really. Treyen narrowed his eyes at her, playfully of course, instead of raising his eyebrow. He didn't know for how long and he was certain she wasn't expecting an answer to that question. And he even shrugged after she spoke next, why? Because if she'll get to be taller than him, well, he wouldn't mind that, truth be told. Yet, so far so good. He wanted to keep the eye-level height, at least. Haha. "Lovely," he said, while smiling as he looked at her, "You should speak French more often," and, no, he was NOT making fun of her, he actually liked her even more (if possible) just by hearing one single word in Chad's language. The second she took her eyes off him, he regretted having said anything about Chad and Seren's dancing. Text Cut: BENTLEY! LOL! Text Cut: Ellie Part II Treyen followed Ellie's gaze and...man, he'd jinxed it, hadn't he? Whaaaat? He did absolutely nothing. The Hufflepuff Prefect pretended to be slightly hurt by Bentley's accusation but the tiny smirk was there. He wanted to tell her that she should've been focusing even more, and that it wasn't truly his fault...BUT...he didn't. She could take 3 points off him...again. "What? I did nothing!" he said, eyes on Ellie. Oh, yes, he was forever hurt by being blamed on Bentley's loss of focus. No, he wasn't. The boy cleared his throat and smiled this time, eyes on Bentley, "Simple. You look far more at ease than Mr. Stryker does. You're a natural." Smirk. That means, Mr. Stryker, you're not. Or he's too nervous to dance properly. But then his smile faded a little, "Not even for the fun of it?" the fun of dancing, and twirling Ellie around, which he totally did, by the way. He was just trying to make a point. |

"Step sideways," he told her with a nod as he stepped his other foot to the side then brought his feet together. Tada! "Here," he pressed on her back with the hand that was on her shoulder blade, steering her a little so that it would hopefully be a little easier. Maybe. "And then... do it again, only opposite. Forward, side, step..." He moved slowly as he spoke, doing the opposite of what he said out loud, still steering Ellie in an attempt to help her out. Hopefully it wouldn't just confuse her even more. |

She walked up to the girl and introduced herself. "Hi, my name is Alyssa and meet my partner here, Mr. Broom. Unfortunately Mr. Broom is getting tired so I was wondering whether you would be my partner instead. I would be truly honored. You can even lead if you want to,"Alyssa smiled at the girl. |
sorry for making you guys wait - work SPOILER!!: João & Louisa As João indicated the turn India couldn't help but follow. It was a smooth and easy movement in dance full of grace, passion, and she just loved the feeling of it. It was just breathtaking. When he bowed to her at the end of the dance she followed suit and nearly curtsied - well it was obvious she attempted to be polite but the issue was that she wasn't as graceful as people thought. Legs wobbling she righted herself and quickly thanked him for the dance. "Thank you ever so much for offering to dance with me" she smiled. As João turned to face Louisa she smiled, turning to Lousia herself she quickly spoke. "And the floor is yours and thank you again!" |
SPOILER!!: Ellie and Treyen Seren frowned a little. "Your broke my concentration... of course that's your fault." How could it not be. She was doing just fine... up until she wasn't. But she couldn't stay mad for long, it wasn't her thing. No she was grinning again, it was all in good fun after all and if Treyen seemed to think she was more at easer then Chad then she would take that as a compliment. "Well thank you dear but I assure you I am not at ease ... not really. I'm rather terrible." Would she come for fun? Well she supposed she would. Maybe, perhaps.... "I suppose I might be inclined to come for fun, though if I knew how to dance I probably wouldn't participate. I wouldn't want to intimidate anyone with my skills." She winked. Yep, she was just that nice. But really she supposed he was right. Why would she ever pass up the opportunity to dance - well or otherwise ? She just wouldn't. Seren enjoyed it far too much. |

She listened to him explain what a Quinceañera was. She had honestly never heard of it before. "Sounds like a lot of fun. Did you go to one?" she asked him. Since he knew what it was. She giggled again his remark about the gross boyfriend/girlfriend stuff. Harlow nodded, "They will be fine with it." she assured him. Their house wa always full of people, friends and family. "You have to wear a tux." she explained to him. "You can come shopping with me and get one. I haven't gotten my dress yet." and she was really looking forward to getting a dress this time. |

It seemed it took Selina just a step or two more for her to register what Gideon had...their position on the floor. The fourth year somewhat relieved to see he wasn't the only one even a little embarished. Had it not felt ackward he would have laughed at the whole situation. "Probably best..." he answered just as sheepishly. The sooner they were off the floor the better, lest they start to draw attention from others. |

She fixed her sweater really fast before reaching out her hand to help Gideon up. Might as well be nice, after all she had prolonged the whole standing up thing, unintentionally of course. None-the-less she had prolonged it and wanted to prove to him that there were no hard feelings; besides, she would have helped him up either way, they were friends. "Need a hand?" |
