Did she just call him JON?! Did his ears hear it correctly? Nobody has ever called Jonathan in any name except that. Never. Not that he's mad about it, NO. In fact he doesn't mind at all. He's just surprised though that for the first time someone shortened his name and decided to call him ---- JON? Really. It still feels rather awkward for him. But hey, maybe he needs to get used to it. Still, Jonathan felt relieved that she knew how to dance waltz. He needs to at least loosen up a bit. There he goes again, making things perfect all the time. Is it because of his OCD behavior that he could sometimes think that everything should be in proper order. ACK. If he keeps that up he'll be sounding boring. Not good. He turned his gaze to Cassie as he started to lead the way. He first stepped forward and then stepped backward. Nice and easy. "That's good" absolutely. At least he wouldn't get himself injured. "You're from Hufflepuff right?" he asked. He just wanted to confirm that one. He has seen Cassie before but he just couldn't put which house she was. he should have asked the first time but that would just be rude. Is it? |
Sorry it's lame, I had to hurry. >_< Quote:
On to dancing. He watched her as she looked at their legs, then grinned when she looked back up at him. "Yeah," he said cheerfully. "Shall we step back?" He looked down at his leg, wiggling his right one so that she would know which he was going to step back with. "Ready? One, two, three... one, two, three..." He kept counting quietly and he stepped back, back, and then to the side once. Not too hard, right? Hopefully Ellie could get that much. |
Chad too. Quote:
*Sigh* Taking his professory responisibility seriously Eddie stood up and headed across the grass to Professor Magnus. "Pleased to meet you Isabelle! I'm Edvard Roslund, Astronomy.." "Would you like to waltz with me?" he asked a friendly smile pursing his lips. |

Text Cut: Girls Wow, someone got excited with a little courtesy. Or maybe she thought he was handsome--which he was, and he knew. Or, maybe, it was both. In any way, he had just met a Ravenclaw girl--meaning she wasn't that dumb and shallow--who seemed to be more enthusiastic than Louisa. He liked this class; it enabled him to meet more girls. Hehe. Nice to meet you, India," he said, noting the accent and the interesting name he had heard for the first time in English. Well, since he would make sure to meet with her later, he could ask about it then. Chuckling at her little joke, he waved at Chip with his head too and offered his hand at the same time Louisa arrived. Since both were from the same house, he didn't see any necessity to introduce them to each other. If none of them took the lead and offered who would go first, he was going to. He had already offered his hand to India anyway, so, eyes going between them for a moment, he asked politely again. "Shall we dance, senhorita?" Now, to watch for Louisa's reaction. |

Isabelle nodded in greeting as he spoke and introduced himself. Astronomy? Hmm, she had always found the stars so fascinating, but spell work was more her thing. "Likewise, Edvard." There did seem to be an awful lot of people she had to meet. And she mirrored his smile when he asked her to dance. Poor man didn't know what he was letting himself in for. She wasn't going to turn him down, however. "I would like that very much, thank you. Although I must warn you - I've never danced properly before, so I'm squarely in the novice status." Hopefully that wouldn't put him off. |

'Rose,' she grinned, running over to her friend. 'Will you dance with me. I'm a loner right now...' she sighed. There seemed to be 2 other firsties. Maybe they could go together and she could go with her friend. |
SPOILER!!: Chad, Kurumi, Selina Gideon looked over to see if Kurumi was infact join them, frowning ever so slightly as she appologetically took her leave. He couldn't blame her though, she probably was just a little overwhelmes at least he guess that was the reason. Gideon himself knew he might have been the same in previous years where he prefered to stand back. "Its alright and understandable," he said waving off Selina's added appology for her friend. "Right...good idea," Gideon said nodding in agreement dropping the subject of height. As the groundskeeper spoke once more leading them on, the boy straightened his stance a little. "As ready as I'll ever be," he commented looking back at her and taking a breath and registering what he needed to do first. His would be the first movement and everything went from there and the professor made it sound and look so easy when he doubted it was, at least the first time around. "Ok...right leg forward...left leg back," he said quietly aloud as he stepped forward on his right leg, hoping she moved with him. |

Looking around he saw how to start...he placed his hand just above Mina's waist. He was so glad it'd been her, with any other girl it'd be awkward. With his left hand he took Mina's right. So far so great....now it was Mina's turn to place her hand on his shoulder...Daniel opted for silence instead of speaking. |

Before she turned to take it, she smiled to Louisa, "Thank you, so much for understanding." She smiled softly. Brushing a bit of hair out of her face as she did so before quickly accepting Joao's hand. "We are supposed to Waltz right?" She asked, nervously her smile still plastered happily on her face. "I'm not the best but I know the basics of it being a four-point square dance..." her last little line of speach ended up fading in decibles as she spoke it was almost a whisper at the end. |

'You might want to tell me that too,' she laughed, blushing. 'I've never really danced before. But then, maybe i'm really good. What kind of dance are we doing?' she added. Daisy, as usual, had been listening, but also, as usual, nothing had actually managed to stick in her head. |

"See, you know something," he said with a small nod of encouragement. "Don't worry, I know how to dance." Probably the only thing his mother had taught him, although she still looked for her own interest in even doing that: I can't afford people saying 'Mrs. Neves' son cannot dance!' in the future! But he was grateful for that now. It didn't take him too much to figure out girls loved boys who could dance properly. "Now, we'll keep the eye-contact and manage not to step on each other's feet." With a confident smile he looked into her eyes and started moving slooowly, first left foot to the side, then right foot to the back... though it was up to her to lead. She was the female side, after all. |
Text Cut: Louisa's "group" What the... O__o Louisa watched the girl - India? - very suspiciously as she blushed, touched her hair and all that girly girly moves that she disliked. It wasn't only that she was prettier than Louisa, she had this accent - a common point with Joao which triggered a searing alert in Louisa's head. She was losing. With a fake sweet smile at India Louisa stepped aside slightly, folded her arms and watched, burning fire inside of her chest started to grow. She did not know how to waltz hence attending the lesson but this girl was fine - not great but fine. That was going to be quite a challenge. Or she could just forget about this whole getting closer to Joao thing and bury herself in grief? ...or get rid of this India if she kept this girly attitude that clearly won Joao because HE WAVED AT AN IMAGINARY PERSON FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! Her foot was tapping lightly on the ground in nervousness, her fingernails slightly digging into her arms as they were folded - yeah, she seriously was uncomfortable watching this. |
Sorry it's late *makes up for it with dance knowledge* Quote:
"Right, are you ready? One, two, three, one, two, three." she said, setting the slow rhythm. |
SPOILER!!: Josh & Evelyn! Well jeez, Josh! He didn't have to look so thrilled that she had went over to them. Sure, she may not have been paying much attention to what the Groundskeeper man had said, but she did hear that if someone was partner-less, they should go and join another group. Destiny was only following the directions! And yeah, Josh and Evelyn were being disgusting, so she had to break them up. She was almost tempted to roll her eyes as she watched him look at Evelyn to her, then back to Evelyn. How hard was it to say no? She said it all the time. No. No. No. Nonononononono. Besides. The faster they said no, the faster she could get out of there. Would any of the old people realize she had left? They all seemed to be busy dancing anyway, and.. that was not the answer she was waiting for. Blinking a few times, the smirk that was on her face disappeared. No, she did not want to dance! She just wanted them to stop being disgusting. Glancing at the Groundskeeper, being disgusting with the Herbology Professor, Destiny took a few steps away from her friends. "YOU can go first. Actually, you can go first and last.." She was just going to dance by herself. And with that, she began to spin slowly on the spot. |
'Tis fine. ^__^ Quote:
Watching their feet, Ellie saw Dallin wiggle his right foot. So that meant Ellie would use her left foot to move forward. Got it. And now he was counting? Was that supposed to mean something to her? Maybe it was a beat. Beat? Sure, why not. Ellie didn't know. So when Dallin started moving, she followed with her left foot. And back again. And, OH, to the side. Ellie didn't know where he was going to her movement was a bit choppy. She made a weird face, but managed to keep her balance. They stopped and she looked up at Dallin and blushed. "I'm a horrible dancer." She told him with a little laugh. As if he hadn't noticed. |

"Okay..." Indiana smiled, allowing her friend to grab her hand. She really had no idea what on earth she was doing, so she was just going with the flow really. So hopefully Kourt would know what was going on. This felt a little weird, probably because they both girls, but she didn't care. She was having fun, and Kourt was her friend, so they totally looked epic. "What next?" She asked with smile, as she placed her other hand just over Kourt's shoulder blade. |

As the Professor had instructed, the boy placed his hand on her back and let his other hand take hers. There. Perfect position. So fitting together. When she shrugged helplessely .. Orlando grinned. "Trust me," he whispered Once positioned, he waited for the Professor to speak again. However, when he did .. Orlando was a bit dissapointed. Just move around? So he couldn't twirl Ryden .. or dip her or cause that blush to grow even more on her cheeks? Sigh. Not wanting to show off, the boy did as he was told - bringing his right feet backward and nodding at Ryden to bring hers forward. "Let's see if you can get my toes, then" |

'Ok, i'll be girl,' she said, getting into the right position. 'You only just noticed our names are both flowers. Seriously Rose, you can be so sloooow. I realised that ages ago,' she laughed. |

Putting her left foot back first like she was told, then her right foot and was bringing her left foot across and putting it down, but instead of landing on the ground it landed on Aurora's foot, Hard.... "Oh my Gilderoy, Aurora... are you ok?, I'm really sorry, is your foot alright?" Penny spluttered, feeling terribly guilty.... but she did warn Aurora that this might happen - although Penny had thought it was the toes that would end up broken, not an entire foot!!! |

She took out her wand and pointed it at her shoes. "Impervius." she said. "There we go, shall we try again?" Aurora grinned at Penny. She was determined that she would LEARN. |
