That's okay... Quote:
Shrugging, she smiled. "Yeah, but talking can be overrated at time," she replied with a small laugh. She didn't mind that they weren't the talking type of family. Seriously, there was only so much they could talk about and it wasn't like they didn't see each other in their common room. The way they were was good for them both. Taking his cue, she raised her arms as well and got into position to start. "I'll warn you, it's been a while since I took those dance lesson. But I promise not to step on your toes." Yes, she had danced a little since the lessons and all; but if they were focusing on the basics and form, she would be okay. |

She giggled when he chuckled. It made him look really cute. He seemed to brood all the time. That wasn't a good look for him. "My dad is really tall too. So's my brother Adrian. He's like 5'8 and he's only 14. But I'm only four feet tall." she announced happily. She liked her height. Though she was ready to get a couple more inches and a few more curves. |

This feeling of 'jealousy' was becoming all too familiar when it came to her. Quickly averting his eyes from that particular scene, Anakin spotted Hugo dancing with some...unknown girl. Not that there was anything WRONG with that, well, there hadn't been until his eyes moved again to land on the familiar blonde locks of his friend. She looked...maybe a little self conscious, and upset. And that was NOT the Feenella Anakin knew and loved. Frowning to himself, the boy slipped away from his awkward position of just standing near Vashti and her partner and headed towards Fee. Pasting a smile on his face, that was really only HALF fake, Ani gave a tiny wave appearing in front of her. "Miss Feenella Schwarzberg, do me the honor of being my dance partner? Please?" |

Take another partner? That was fine with João. More than fine, in fact. His eyes fell on Fee immediately, but another boy had acted faster than him. Shoot. Well, then, he could use this opportunity to meet another girl, then. Who else still didn't have a partner? |
Ish the partnerless one - and a girl. India looked around and sighed. Looking around of course no one was answering her I've got no partner call. So she began to dance with herself. Who cared if she didn't have a partner - and invisible thing could spin better than a real thing? Right? But she wanted to know how to really dance. After all it would be fun? right? |
ooc: I'm going to continue. Those who are in pairs, if you notice someone who is without a partner, pleaaaaaaase allow them to join you. Chad clapped his hands together to get everyone's attention back up towards him and Bentley. "Now, the first thing we will learn how to do is the stance for the waltz. It is fairly simple. You are going to stand in front of each other, offset slight to the left. Mademoiselle Bentley, if you please?" Chad turned to face her, smiling politely. "Now, le monsieur's left hand should join with la mademoiselle's right hand. These will be held up in the air a bit, approximately at the eye lady of la mademoiselle." With a slightly awkward cough, Chad demonstrated by taking Bentley's right hand into his left. "Next, le monsieur will place his right hand on the back of la mademoiselle, over her shoulder blade. Les mademoiselles will then rest their left arm on the monsieur's right arm." He placed his hand over her shoulder blade and waited for her to do her part. "You all try now." |
Penny raised her eyebrows to Aurora and shrugged. She lifted her right hand like was shown and then her left arm into the position explained... waiting for Aurora to do her part now... Penny felt a little stupid with her two arms raised at slightly weird angles, but she also needed to learn how to dance... "Aurora, am I do this right?", she asked her partner. |
SPOILER!!: Destiny and Josh Hearing that some people were having three for a group to do this dance thing, Evelyn couldn't quite understand how that all worked out, but right now...she didn't really care. Josh was holding her, and she'd rather enjoy the warmth of him than think about...other people and their dance partner issues. ... Aaaaand that was nice while it lasted. Looking over to Destiny, Evelyn may have laughed quietly...until she realized her friend was serious. Seriously? Looking up to Josh, seeing that she was the one that was supposed to decide, Evelyn sighed quietly before smirking, and hugging him close. Laying her head near his shoulder, facing Destiny that is, her smirked widened. "If you want to..." Hehe. SPOILER!!: dance instructions Still hugging Josh, she turned her head the other way to watch the demonstration that Mr. Stryker was giving. Didn't they learn all of this in fourth year? While she herself already knew all the steps, it would be an amazement to know if someone had already forgotten. Though there was that one problem now bugging her again. How were they supposed to do this when they had three in a group? "Who goes first?" she muttered, looking back to Destiny. Hmmmmmm? |

"Olá, senhorita." He bowed with his head. "My name is João Neves." Introductions were always better. "Would you like to dance with us?" A hand politely indicating Louisa. He was just that cool and handsome. Hehe. And they were onto instructions already. Looking between two girls, he waited for them to figure out who would go first. Ah, the comfort of being a man. |

Just when she was beginning to loose all hope of finding a partner and contemplated slipping silently out, given the Professor's instructions sounded dizzying anyways, she caught sight of a boy looking around. Was...he looking for another partner? But...he had one. But...he looked like he was looking for one. With a flicker of hope, Charner slipped off the bean bag and went to tug on the boy's sleeve. "Do you need a third person----?" Her mouth clamped shut as she realized he had just asked someone else to dance. Maybe now was a good time to slip away quietly. |

Text Cut: Koala Boy This was going to be a nightmare. Ryden could tell. She could ALSO tell that Orlando didn't actually need to be here - he was probably one of those wonderful dancers that moved like they had the music under their skin or something annoying like that. Oh, haha. The blonde made a face up at her boyfriend. "Very funny. But you'll have to go to the hospital wing by yourself - I'm NOT going there again. NOPE," she shook her head, to emphasize her point and was about to add another remark when the caretaker spoke up. Nononononono. Text Cut: Mr. Stryker ACK. Staring intently at the two adults as they moved into position, Ryden tried to literally memorise each and every part of their body; where it was located and where it was supposed to be in regards to the partner. Ugh. RIGHT. Orlando had to put his hand on her back - not the waist, as she'd always thought - and she had to put hers on his shoulder. The other two hands were held on the other side at approximately her eye level. Yes? No? Glancing up at Orlando, she held up both her hands and shrugged helplessly. He would position them. Yep. Seemed the safest way. |

"Don't worry about it. I accept your advanced apology.. in Advanced," she teased and then paused. "I'm not that good of a dancer either. All I know how to do is ballroom dance. That's all I know. So if I step on your foot.. Then I'm sorry. So shall we?" she asked and motioned her head slightly towards where the others were dancing. And then Professor Stryker was telling them about the stance of waltzing. Oh Merlin. Oh Merlin. She waited for Nik to take her hand. |

Harvey clasped Minnie's right hand at her eye level, and put his right hand on her back over her shoulder blade. While Minnie placed her left hand on his right arm, he was soo excited they were going to dance for the first time even if was for a class. Harvey could not stop grinning at Minnie. :claw: |

Text Cut: Le monsieur Text Cut: Stryker Hehehe. "That's good...because you're mine." She said so in Diagon Alley and her mind had not changed since. In fact, she only felt stronger toward her declaration. Because she now knew he actually wanted her to have him. And then Stryker started to talk again. Instructions this time. Ellie turned her head to the man as she listened. She....knew this, actually, but it was more fun to do it step by step. And watching Stryker demonstrate with Bentley was highly amusing. The fifth year followed the directions and put her left hand on Treyen's arm, and shifted position of their hands to look like Stryker's and Bentley's. "Monsieur?" She wasn't even going to put on a corny fake accent, no. But Treyen was the 'monsieur' in this scenario. Time for him to do his part. |

"Cool! I'm fourteen too," he said. So he wasn't the only over grown teeneager. Hehe. He was about to say something else when the professor spoke. Oh no.... Quote:
This was going to be memorable. |

Harvey had the biggest smile on his face, ear to ear. "I am sure you will" Harvey amended his stance according to what she showed him, now they were ready to start upon the professor's instructions :claw: |
Text Cut: Le dance partner and le dance instructions. ^_^ Grinning, Dallin just nodded. "I am, actually." Sure of himself, that is. Ellie really couldn't be that bad of a dancer. And it wouldn't be a big deal if she stepped on his feet a few times. With a wink at Ellie, Dallin turned back to Mr. Stryker as he started explaining the dance hold. He nodded to himself; he knew that. When Stryker was done explaining, Dal turned back to Ellie with a smirk on his face. They were already holding hands - the right hands, too - so he just stepped closer to her and put a hand on her back. "Just try not to injure me too badly, alright?" Another wink. Heh. |

Inclining her head politely with a smile, she nodded towards Damon. "I believe we shall." And with that she lifted up her hand daintily hoping she wasn't being too forward |
