Prudence knew something like this would happen sooner or later, and with her tuning out for most of the while it really didn't help... The fact that she barely knew anyone also could've been a slight problem for her... Standing rather awkwardly she waited, fidgeting as she stood there. "Anyone else need a partner?" she asked quietly, hoping someone had heard. |
Rose crossed her arms. 'ANYONE NEED A PARTNER? Preferably boy, might look a TEENSY bit strange girl-girl!' Rose yelled whilst smiling. 'I promise I don't bite!' she grinned. |
xD This is what I get for not sneaking in before now. (Odd person out *whistles*) Well, it seemed her random rambling about waltz history hadn't bothered Mr. Stryker too much. In fact, he hadn't really seemed to acknowledge it much at all, amongst all the other answers that had been given, which Stella found didn't bother her as much as she'd have thought. Earning points in classes as proving a bit addicting, after all, but this was something else entirely. Especially as she'd guessed they were going to be instructed to actually partner up and try to waltz. That had given her the odest awkward feeling, as well as a renewed wish that Risa had come with her from France. Her best friend would have either been silly and danced with her like a weirdo or found two guys amongst the crowd and dragged them over before they could get the attention of anyone else. Instead, she was stuck remembering last year when there had been that dance she'd gone to with Ethan for some event or another, shortly before she'd clued in that he wasn't exactly the person she'd thought he was. Either way, as she'd been lost in her thoughts it seemed everyone else had gotten partners and it as down to making trios. She'd rather dance by herself, although she glanced toward the groundskeeper silently so he knew she didn't have a partner yet anyhow. Oh, more staff people showed up too, she noticed, stepping back toward the edge of the gazebo to let people have more room to dance and seeing that Professor Roslund and the Transfiguration professor had joined the healer. Maybe she could sneak away and talk to them if nobody noticed her, although she had a feeling they'd remind her to participate. Back to dancing by herself for the time being. |

Paaaair. Ariadne needed a dance partner. Weird, because she had been there from the very beginning, amongst the first to arrive, but she had been day-dreaming when the class actually started, so she missed out on choosing someone to dance with. Sigh. That's what you get for not paying attention in class. 'Does anyone still need a partner?' Someone nice, please. |

for Cassie/ Davvy_Wavvy >.< Dancing in pairs, huh? Jonathan looked around and scouted for a girl. His eyed every girl. Don't get him wrong there were A LOT of girls to chose from but Jonathan just feels shy to ask anyone. That's it. This activity officially stabbed him in the face that YES he has to go socialize more. Maybe he could dance by himself instead? Yeah, maybe that would be a better idea. But really, he shouldn't have came in the first place if he knew he would be having a hard time picking a partner to dance. What are they going to dance anyway? Is it waltz? If so, then he can manage that. Waltz is easy as long as both partners participate well and accordingly with each other. Jonathan still sat on the side, should he leave? But seriously, he already came so he might as well enjoy this one. He should needs to keep his eyes open more. |

Not to despair though, Cassie Storm always bounced back. Spotting a younger looking hatchling, Cassie made her way over and tapped him on the shoulder. He was adorable, which made him perfect candidate for the dance. She was of course taller than him but that didn't matter. They would be an awesome pair. "You are dancing with me." She smiled warmly at him, which really did a lot to mask the fact that she told him he would be dancing with her instead of asking him. She offered him her hand. |

What the----??? He turned to look who it was. Uhmmm???? Jonathan knew this girl was older than him. She's in the seventh year right? Hufflepuff??? Jonathan's a little bit depressing on details. He finds it hard to remember people. Which is really odd. Weird. And what did she just say? Was that an order? Jonathan eyes narrowed. She could have asked nicely you know. But really, this is more of a blessing for him. If he doesn't dance with her then he is left sitting alone while everyone danced with a partner. So really, his options are tight. "O-okay?" he said in a confused tone as he stood up and took her hand. Finally he has a partner! OH, "I'm Jonathan by the way" he introduced. Well, what else should he say anyway? |
lol she's nice I promise ;) Quote:
Right now that the boy was had, introductions were in order. The boy decided to start it off."Pleased to meet you Jonathon. I'm Cassie." She smiled at him again and looked at the professor. He would probably be starting soon." You have done this before right?" If he hadn't it wouldn't matter much, because they were all here to learn and she was doing pretty well in the patience department lately too. |
Before someone randomly decided to take Ryden as a partner, Orlando held out his hand for her to take. It was so silly how naturally it came to him - given that all his aunts and great aunts took their time in not only making him properly dance with them but also with proper courtesy. "May I have the pleasure, miss?" he grinned, noticing the obvious blush that had been growing on her cheeks when everyone had started talking about dance. |

Awkward. Really awkward. But as long as she's asking questions, Jonathan can deal with that. "yeah, I guess" he replied when she asked. If they're dancing waltz, then YES. Jonathan was taught mainly by his uncle and he used to be partner with his younger cousin back then when he was not as tall. "How about you?" he asked her as well. It would be nice if she can dance already. After all waltz was best if both partners danced in harmony. |
Penny knew the dancing was about to begin and she looked at Aurora with an apologetic smile..... Hoping that they could still be friends after Penny broke all her friends' toes...EEEEP |

"Besides," he said, turning toward her. "I can probably handle it." Yes, he said 'probably.' Because there was the chance that she wasn't exaggerating, and that she really was dangerous. But Dallin was confident that he could handle it. Yep. |

>__< Groaning to herself and cursing whatever force decided to bestow BRIDGET with the dancing skills, Ryden watched as people paired up, noticing some girls were pairing up with other girls and some had to make do with three people. This actually made the short blonde feel a bit better. She might look like a fool dancing, but at least she'll have the partner bit down. She had Orlando. Blush still intact - a fact that was infuriating her, for it only added to the growing embarrassment feeling - she turned to her boyfriend seated right next to her and managed a smile. At least she had her Koala Boy. "You may, Koala Boy," Ryden replied, and placed her much smaller hand in his own. She stood up. Yes. The fifth year was ready for the torture to begin. "Oh, and, er, I'm sorry if I step on your toes. I can't dance to save my life." |
Ugh, great.... it keeps getting better and better, Gwendolyn thought while looking around. Do I really have to pick a partner?!?! Come on... why do we have to do this, anyway?, the young Ravenclaw wanted to ask. While scanning the place, she realized everyone started searching for a partner, and most of the students even found someone to dance with. 'Does anyone need a partner?', she mumbled, really hoping she wouldn't have to switch to plan B. Yup, plan B was having to pick the first guy she notices and scream: 'you there! you are now MY partner!' What? I'm not going to dane alone... But it would be indeed a lot better if I wouldn't have to dance. I really might end up in the Hospital Wing, the second year dramatized. This is not going to end well... |

Bwahaha! He bowed his head lightly, when she gave him permission - he took her small hand in his immediately and got up with her. "Aww, Ryden - I'll be extremely cheesy because the situation itself is very cheesy and say: don't worry about it. I am here, so I'll be saving your life, while taking damage to my toes!" |
Ohh this was just great.Really.Fee had imagined this dance lesson to be waaay different. But since he boyfriend had decided to dance with someone else the blonde just stood there looking like an idiot.Fine,no dance partner,no dance.Depressing, really depressing. Sighing to herself the Slytherin just stood there in the corner and looked at all the couples that were dancing. Why hadnt Hugo waited for her?Okay, she was maybe a bit late but still. She would have waited. The whole lesson,if necessary.Well...just keep making a moron out of yourself,Fee. |

She stood feeling a little akward as she waited for Mr Stryker to continue with the lesson but he was taking his time probably making sure everyone had a partner. "I'm Nessie by the way" she said trying to be a little polite. |
They need a partner? Freya sighed. She looked around to find a partner but apparently most of the boys already have a partner. She moved towards the edge of the gazebo to make room for the other students who already have a partner. "Does anyone still need a partner?" she asked. It will be really awkward if she was dancing alone. |
Please? I can partner with a girl if I need to, but I would prefer a boy! Presly sighed. Obviously they didn't know it. She was a good dancer. She'd been in all sorts of lessons since she was three. Maybe she would just have to skip dancing, and just help everyone that needed it? Because, despite her efforts, nobody seemed to want to partner with her. Was she really that terrible of a person? No, generally she tried to be kind, and friendly, so why was everyone else partnered up, and Presley all alone? She climbed up onto a chair and raised her hand high. Finally she was on the same level as everyone else. Maybe they could see her now? "I would love to have a dancing partner!" She announced. "And if I need to, I can dance the guy's part and partner with a girl!" There seemed to be a million girls without partners, and all of the boys were taken. This seemed the logical way, right? |
Damon was getting desperate to find a good partner, as it seemed there appeared to more girls available to dance with than guys, who out of all these students would be interested, he turned his head left and right to see what could happen.. Then one student caught his attention. |
Storm :) I guess now would be as good a time as any to practice. Erm...get in pairs. Mr. Stryker's voice echoed in her mind and unconsciously Ivory's eyes grew wide on her face. Now, as in right now? In pairs? Deep in the recesses of her mind, the chest rattled behind the closed door and she mentally hammered nails into the door frame and adding a few dead bolts. Thoughts now once again perfectly under control, the female prefect crossed her ankles femininely and relaxed in her beanbag chair. With her sparkling brown eyes and a casual outfit of figure-hugging jeans and comfortable shoes, she looked for all the world as if she wasn't anxious. The autumn sun glinted off the natural lights in her hair, the wind catching it, fluttering wisps like feathers against her face as her dark eyes scanned the gazebo to see what other unlucky individuals were without a partner. Maybe she wasn't the only one. |

Damon strode up to her "Why Ivory i am surprised that as a Prefect you dont have someone to dance with yet, would you care to be my partner?" Damon asked. |
