1: Dance Theory & Practice (@ The Gazebo) A surly looking Mr. Stryker is seated on a bench. As you enter the gazebo, he'll motion for you to take a seat on either a pillow, beanbag, or good ol' concrete. Your choice. |
Selina walked cautiously into the Gazebo. She was not really sure why they were having class here, but who was she to judge? Mr. Stryker, at least to Selina's knowledge, had never taught a class before and one on dancing was not so appealing to Selina. Although, Selina had to admit she was excited to see Violet, her ballerina best friend, work in this class. She was sure to be a crowd favorite and would no doubt show up in her point shoes. So once she walked in, she sat down on one of the beanbag chairs and got comfortable. She had time. |
Orchid had heard about some sort of dancing class going on and she figured, why not. So she arrived at the Gazebo and sat on a purple beanbag wondering if anybody else was going to show up. |
Heh. What were these dance lessons for? Of course Princesses took dance lessons... but as for the common folk...that was a whole nother story... "Hello," Tori greeted the dance... professor man. She took a seat on a plump pink pillow and crossed her legs Indian-style, looking around the nice gazebo. |
Janice saw the notice board, saying that there is a dance class on the Grounds. Out of curiousit, she went there, and found some students already there. "Hello, professor.." She greeted him. COMC, she recognized. |
Dance lessons? Hogwarts had dance lessons? That was quite new to Isabelle. She decided that she would give it a try though. Why not? She took damce lessons before the Yule Ball a couple of years ago. Why not now? Isabelle walked into the gazebo and gently sat down on a beanbag. |
Dance class? Why will they be having a dance class in the first place anyway? Jonathan can dance of course. His mother taught him how and maybe, some of his uncles. Jonathan is just wondering why all of a sudden they're holding dance lessons and Mr. Stryker is hosting it. Odd. Jonathan went inside the gazebo and it seems that girls have already signed up. So why was he early in coming here? YES. HE HAS NOTHING ELSE TO DO. He was actually quite bored back at the common room that when he saw this dance class stuff, he told himself to go check it out. Could be fun. |
Dance lessons? Oh, wow. Daphne entered the Gazebo, feeling quite excited. She greeted the |
Well...what was all this? Dancing classes in the Gazebo? He didn't knew Hogwarts had this type of things. Since when? Because none of his siblings had told him about this particular classes. Nikolas entered into the Gazebo, looking around the place and the comfortable seats that were there. "Morning" he greeted the professor. He wasn't good at dancing and wasn't looking forward to this class, but who cares? It could turn out interesting. He had already eyed a beanbag chair, a very comfortable one. He plopped into the seat and watched as people came in. |
Hmm dance class, Matt wasn't entirely certain on the idea of it since despite the fact that he had known how to dance in several different styles; which was something that no one knew merely because it was something that he liked to keep a secret. Well it wasn't about to be a secret for much longer, but that was fine. He headed into the gazebo, taking a seat on a beanbag and looking around the area at the other students; it didn't seem like many people were here yet.. maybe that would change. You do know this is a bad idea waiting to happen, after what happened at Rygal before you left.. |
Anakin entered into the gazebo, wrinkling his nose a bit at the scene. Sure, it was a beautiful spot, but when he thought 'gazebo', he thought of mushy old muggle romance movies that Melrose would make him endure with her, he loved his cousin but really? There was a difference between reading romance things, as he'd promised to give one a shot, and WATCHING the stuff. Gazebo felt like a large cliche, perhaps a sweet one, but still. Especially for dancing lessons. Nodding at the Professor, An quickly scurried towards one of the pillows before plopping himself down in it, and crossing his legs indian style. Now it was just to wait until the Prof. officially started the lesson. |
Kourtney was excited. No, that wasn't the word. She was thrilled! Dance, how perfect! Since she, herself, practiced the art of dance, this was at least one lesson that she knew she would have fun with. She eagerly stepped inside the gazebo and plopped herself onto a beanbag. What sort of dance would they be covering? She assumed that it would be individual dance, but maybe not. Oh, she couldn't wait! She was literally bouncing where she sat, her eyes alight with excitement. As she looked around, she took notice of a familiar face. She tossed a wave and a grin in Matt's direction. |
SPOILER!!: SLYTHERIN BOYS Finally two familiar faces. Both boys and both from Slytherin. Jonathan was beginning to think that guys won't show up and he'd be embarrass and then he'll leave. Not anymore though. So what is up with the dance lessons? Lord Borr's orders perhaps? Something that they should accomplish before graduating at Hogwarts? What?! It could be anything at all. Jonathan was curious enough to why they'll be having one in the first place. Is it one of those partner stuffs kind of dance. A guy comes up to a girl and then asks her to dance with him in a slow music. "So what do you think is this dance class all about?" he asked the two as he looked at the girls. Most of them were Slytherin and he seemed to know the Gryffindor girl. Selina right? Kurumi's best friend? They went looking for her at the maze carnival last time. |

With a glance about, she fiddled with the laces of her runners that were tied and dangling from her fingers. Bare feet squished on the floor of the gazebo as she contemplated a place to sit. One boy seemed to have it right. Bean bags all the way. With a small sigh, Charner moved over to the space beside the boy and flopped down on her bottom. "Yo." Lady mannerisms. She had them. "Good seat choice." Same with fantastic conversation starters. "You here by choice?" Quote:

Since this was a class that didn't require the use of magic, Mia was all for it. And it was probably something she would know how to do and Nikolai did not. And not only that it might actually be a bit of fun. Stepping into the gazebo, Mia looked around and realised that she didn't know anyone else that was there. Oh a few faces were familiar but she didn't know anyone personally. Oh and then she noticed the Groundskeeper and he didn't look too happy, did he? She hoped he wasn't still upset about the treehouse from last year. "Hello sir." she said politely as she hurried to the opposite side of the gazebo, as far away from the groundskeeper as she could. |
Teehee *dances* Professor Bentley hadn't attended a lesson at Hogwarts since... well since she was a student here- her own lessons didn't count. As Seren made her way from her office to the Gazebo, she couldn't help but feel a little nervous, but very excited at the same time. She loved dancing, she just wasn't very good at it, so naturally when she saw the class notice, it just made sense to attend. After all it didn't say anything about it being ONLY for students. "Chad," she greeted with a respectful nod as she joined the group, taking a seat on a cushion. This should be an interesting lesson. Merlin she felt like a student again. |
Dance Lessons? Kimalia was already interested when she first heard about it and couldn't help the excitement in her. "Good day, Professor." After greeting and giving a small curtsy, she took a seat on one of the large beanbags. |
Why was she here? She didn't like dancing, she didn't really care to learn how, and she had a long list of things she wuld much rather be doing instead of this. Yet here she was, and Vashti still wasn't sure why. Part of it had to be because Aunt Grace had recently begun trying to get her to do more "artsy" things and maybe if she attended at least one lesson, her aunt would be satisfied. And maybe if she was really awful - and she was - then they'd kindly ask her not to attend another to stop her from stepping on everyone's feet. Or perhaps she'd even be able to just hide in a corner or something and avoid having to actually dance like she had a few years ago when they'd had some sort of dancing lesson. She kind of doubted that though since she wasn't as small as she had been back in her second year. But at least there was a bright side to this. The lesson was being held in the gazebo, and she really loved this area of the grounds, pretty as it was. So maybe the scenery would make up for all this. "Good day, sir," she said, managing to greet the groundskeeper with a smile before scanning the gazebo for anyone she might know... And there was someone! Vashti went and plopped down on the bean bag next to Anakin, poking him to make sure he knew she was there. |

She couldn't believe they were actually having dance lessons. They weren't having another Ball or anything coming up in the school were they? Because she wasn't aware of it if they did. Making her way down to the gazebo, she nodded to the groundskeeper with a small smile. "Good day, Mr. Stryker." she greeted before looking around for a place to sit. Meep. Bentley was here too? "And Good day to you too, Professor Bentley." ... Mia was there also. Quote:
"Hey Mia." Stare. |
Oh no, Kennedy Escalante was NOT excited about this class. Dance? Really? Gah! The boy was like an eight legged spider with rollerskates on when it came to dancing. He was horrible at it. He couldn't even dance with a broom. As he entered the Gazebo the fourteen year old's look almost mirrored the professors. He didn't look happy to be here. So why? Why have to torture Kennedy with dancing of all things? "Hello, Professor," he greeted, not even trying to hide his I'm-not-so-happy face. He then went to sit on one of the beanbags and waited for what would be a lesson to remember. |

"dancing is fun" Okay, he didn't just admit that, especially in front of the girl. True, Jonathan did find it fun. His uncles used to teach him to dance whenever his father was not around and they were baby sitting him. Speaking of which, they should all go and have kids themselves. One uncle is enough but unfortunately for him, he has been spoiled by 3 uncles. Can be quite annoying sometimes, really. Quote:
"hello Professor" he greeted. |
Dance lessons? Since when had Hogwarts dance lessons? ... not that Nora had anything against them. Hehe. She walked to the gazebo, to find the groundskeeper. Hmmm. He'll be the teacher? "Hello," she said with a smile, and then turned around to see... professor Bentley. Was she one of the students now, or was she going to help Mr Stryker? Double hmmm. "Hello, professor." She had one of those feelings that it was going to be an interesting class. |
Ooo! Dance lessons! Ronnie was looking forward to this! She excitedly made her way to the gazebo (what an awesome place to have class!) and found a beanbag to sit on. "This is comfy!" she thought to herself, settling down and searching for any of her mates, or someone to talk to. Someone to get to know. As she sat there, she began twisting her finger around her long bright orange hair....feeling a tad bit lonely. She sighed and still twirled her hair, until it was all the way around her finger. She looked at it and sighed. Man was she bored. |

Mia raised her eyebrows at her friend. "I never would have taken you for someone who would want to learn to dance." Was the girl there because she wanted to be or was she worried about Mia being so close to the Groundskeeper? Well this could turn out to be more fun than she first thought. Hmm, perhaps these Slytherins were rubbing off on her. |
