A surly looking Mr. Stryker is seated on a bench. As you enter the gazebo, he'll motion for you to take a seat on either a pillow, beanbag, or good ol' concrete. Your choice.
Please, come in! The lesson will begin shortly (OOC: 4pm EST, 9pm GMT (I think...) tomorrow), so feel free to talk amongst yourselves.

Shrugging, she smiled. "Yeah, but talking can be overrated at time," she replied with a small laugh. She didn't mind that they weren't the talking type of family. Seriously, there was only so much they could talk about and it wasn't like they didn't see each other in their common room. The way they were was good for them both.
Taking his cue, she raised her arms as well and got into position to start. "I'll warn you, it's been a while since I took those dance lesson. But I promise not to step on your toes." Yes, she had danced a little since the lessons and all; but if they were focusing on the basics and form, she would be okay.
"You think?" he asked. Most of the time he didn't like his name. "Mom named me after a president," he commented, scrunching up his nose. Yep, something like Alan or Aiden would've been cool...maybe?
Kennedy slightly chuckled. "So, I've been told." Sometimes being tall was good...like he could reach things that were stored up high. Yeah, tall was great.
Harlow nodded, "Of course. Its a wonderful name." she told him. She loved unique names. She had one after all. "See Presidents are lovely and people remember them." she patted him on the elbow. It was the highest point on his body she could reach. "I mean you wouldn't want a boring name like Bob or John or something like that." Not that there was anything wrong with those names.
She giggled when he chuckled. It made him look really cute. He seemed to brood all the time. That wasn't a good look for him. "My dad is really tall too. So's my brother Adrian. He's like 5'8 and he's only 14. But I'm only four feet tall." she announced happily. She liked her height. Though she was ready to get a couple more inches and a few more curves.

Ohh this was just great.Really.Fee had imagined this dance lesson to be waaay different.But since he boyfriend had decided to dance with someone else the blonde just stood there looking like an idiot.Fine,no dance partner,no dance.Depressing,really depressing.

After attempting an answer at one question, just one, Anakin sort of spaced out entirely for the rest of the definitions of dance and such, but next thing he knew everyone was beginning to partner up and the dance itself was starting. Pushing himself up off the ground, after a long moments hesitation due to his brain's complete and total malfunction through listening, Ani turned his head to ask Vashti, before noticing she already had a partner.
This feeling of 'jealousy' was becoming all too familiar when it came to her.
Quickly averting his eyes from that particular scene, Anakin spotted Hugo dancing with some...unknown girl. Not that there was anything WRONG with that, well, there hadn't been until his eyes moved again to land on the familiar blonde locks of his friend. She looked...maybe a little self conscious, and upset. And that was NOT the Feenella Anakin knew and loved. Frowning to himself, the boy slipped away from his awkward position of just standing near Vashti and her partner and headed towards Fee.
Pasting a smile on his face, that was really only HALF fake, Ani gave a tiny wave appearing in front of her. "Miss Feenella Schwarzberg, do me the honor of being my dance partner? Please?"

"If a guy doesn't have a partner, I could dance with another one," she quietly offered. She needed all the practice she could get.
Take another partner? That was fine with João. More than fine, in fact. Getting close to another girl sounded nice. He could observe Louisa's reaction to another girl by his side. Hearing that some people were having three for a group to do this dance thing, Evelyn couldn't quite understand how that all worked out, but right now...she didn't really care. Josh was holding her, and she'd rather enjoy the warmth of him than think about...other people and their dance partner issues.

Looking over to Destiny, Evelyn may have laughed quietly...until she realized her friend was serious. Seriously? Looking up to Josh, seeing that she was the one that was supposed to decide, Evelyn sighed quietly before smirking, and hugging him close. Still hugging Josh, she turned her head the other way to watch the demonstration that Mr. Stryker was giving. Didn't they learn all of this in fourth year? While she herself already knew all the steps, it would be an amazement to know if someone had already forgotten.
Though there was that one problem now bugging her again. How were they supposed to do this when they had three in a group? "Who goes first?" she muttered, looking back to Destiny.

...and his eyes fell on a blond girl who was dancing by herself, maybe to draw attention, maybe because she didn't care. To him she looked... sad. She wasn't terribly younger or older--a safe age to ask. So, muttering a I'll be back' to Louisa, he walked over to the girl. Not because he wanted to help; he didn't feel such urges, but because she was beautiful.
"Olá, senhorita." He bowed with his head. "My name is João Neves." Introductions were always better. "Would you like to dance with us?" A hand politely indicating Louisa. He was just that cool and handsome. Hehe.
And they were onto instructions already. Looking between two girls, he waited for them to figure out who would go first.

It was rather nerve wracking, sitting alone on the bean bag having nothing to do but twiddle her toes and hope that someone had heard her cry. But partners were going fast and there wasn't really anyone left.
Just when she was beginning to loose all hope of finding a partner and contemplated slipping silently out, given the Professor's instructions sounded dizzying anyways, she caught sight of a boy looking around. Was...he looking for another partner?
But...he had one.
But...he looked like he was looking for one.
With a flicker of hope, Charner slipped off the bean bag and went to tug on the boy's sleeve. "Do you need a third person----?"
Her mouth clamped shut as she realized he had just asked someone else to dance. Maybe now was a good time to slip away quietly.

The other two hands were held on the other side at approximately her eye level. Yes? No? Glancing up at Orlando, she held up both her hands and shrugged helplessly. He would position them.

It's a good thing Lauren and I are such goo friends. Orchid thought. "So, I'll be the guy...I guess? I'm not to sure how we'll do this." She said to Lauren with a confused look on her face. Sure thing!" she said with a wide smile. The blonde chuckled and smiled sweetly as he apologized in advance for stepping on her feet.
"Don't worry about it. I accept your advanced apology.. in Advanced," she teased and then paused. "I'm not that good of a dancer either. All I know how to do is ballroom dance. That's all I know. So if I step on your foot.. Then I'm sorry. So shall we?" she asked and motioned her head slightly towards where the others were dancing.
And then Professor Stryker was telling them about the stance of waltzing. Oh Merlin. Oh Merlin. She waited for Nik to take her hand.

...huh? They were standing there, perfectly a couple, and seeing Stryker's directions when he whispered a be right back..? What the... Louisa's eyes followed him and she spotted a girl.

No. She spotted a more beautiful and taller girl. A blonde one too. And Joao asked her to join them? =O Louisa's eyes bulged out of her face - how was she supposed to learn how to dance when someone like that girl who could dance with air? She didn't want Joao to think that she had any problem with that since HE didn't. And why didn't he have a problem with dancing with two different girls, again? Yes, it seemed like forever and ever ago. Probably why he couldn't remember much of it. Or none of it, truth be told. But he at least remembered that she was the one who'd taught him to dance, right? That was good.
Treyen nodded in agreement but said nothing else as he considered that IF it seemed like such a long time...THEN he had little time left at Hogwarts.
Aha! She almost made him sigh. Disagreeing, no matter how used he got to it, was still a bit annoying. And she always did it. Except...now...it was completely different and it even brought a smile to his face. Taken? "I like the sound of that, as long as I'm taken by you," or whatever, he couldn't think straight, and he'd failed to notice just how close he was to her, and it was even worse to have her eyes on him. If no Professors have been there, she would've gotten a kiss...that's what his eyes dictated after looking at her lips for a second.

RIGHT! Mr. Stryker was, like, right there. All of the sudden he was reminded that he was not alone in this...what was this? A Gazebo? What did that even mean? Whatever, Treyen actually chuckled and shook his head, as if trying to get rid of whatever thought occupied his mind at the moment. Much to his dislike, he only kept the hold on one of Ellie's hand and looked away from her. She needed to stop distracting him from the soon-to-be dancing lesson, right? Yet it was more of 'just dancing' for these two.
He'd been blushing since he spoke, by the way, he just didn't realize it.

Hehehe. "That's good...because you're mine." She said so in Diagon Alley and her mind had not changed since. In fact, she only felt stronger toward her declaration. Because she now knew he actually wanted her to have him.
And then Stryker started to talk again. Instructions this time. Ellie turned her head to the man as she listened. She....knew this, actually, but it was more fun to do it step by step. And watching Stryker demonstrate with Bentley was highly amusing.
The fifth year followed the directions and put her left hand on Treyen's arm, and shifted position of their hands to look like Stryker's and Bentley's. "Monsieur?" She wasn't even going to put on a corny fake accent, no. But Treyen was the 'monsieur' in this scenario. Time for him to do his part.

Kennedy readied his ears so they could hear everything the professor was saying. That all sounded like a lot of work and they weren't even dancing yet. "Okay, lets see," he said, turning to Harlow. Hmm, the height difference might be an obstacle since he had to be at eye level with the lady. Kennedy hunched over until he was almost at Harlow's level. That ought to do it right? He placed his hand over her little shoulder blade and waited.
Presly sighed. Obviously they didn't know it. She was a good dancer. She'd been in all sorts of lessons since she was three. Maybe she would just have to skip dancing, and just help everyone that needed it? Because, despite her efforts, nobody seemed to want to partner with her. Was she really that terrible of a person? No, generally she tried to be kind, and friendly, so why was everyone else partnered up, and Presley all alone? She climbed up onto a chair and raised her hand high. Finally she was on the same level as everyone else. Maybe they could see her now? "I would love to have a dancing partner!" She announced. "And if I need to, I can dance the guy's part and partner with a girl!" There seemed to be a million girls without partners, and all of the boys were taken. This seemed the logical way, right?
Prudence looked up at the girl that she'd seen around the place already, listening as she spoke... all that she was saying was actually rather logical, and would be a better idea than simply standing around doing absolutely nothing all lesson! "I agree with you... I'll be your partner if you want... and I don't care which part I dance either, your choice" Prue said, shrugging nonchalantly at the end of her sentence to show that she really didn't care. She'd danced the boy part before whilst teacher her sister, so this couldn't be much different right?

Harvey had the biggest smile on his face, ear to ear. "I am sure you will" Harvey amended his stance according to what she showed him, now they were ready to start upon the professor's instructions

Grinning, Dallin just nodded. "I am, actually." Sure of himself, that is. Ellie really couldn't be that bad of a dancer. And it wouldn't be a big deal if she stepped on his feet a few times.
With a wink at Ellie, Dallin turned back to Mr. Stryker as he started explaining the dance hold. He nodded to himself; he knew that. When Stryker was done explaining, Dal turned back to Ellie with a smirk on his face. They were already holding hands - the right hands, too - so he just stepped closer to her and put a hand on her back. "Just try not to injure me too badly, alright?" Another wink. Heh.
Damon figured that she would want to know his name "Im Damon 6th year and a fellow Ravenclaw" Damon noticed her shiny blue prefect badge and smiled. "Its okay if you can't remember names sometimes i forget others names as well and that of course requires me to write them all down on parchment." So you want to try and Dance?" asked Damon
"Well then Damon, it's a pleasure to meet you." she chirped with a genuine smile. Giving a soft tinkle of laughter at his comment, Ivory nodded. "I'll have to try that, it sounds like it'd work." Perhaps a small directory of people she'd met at one time or other, complete with pictures and bolded names.
