Hmph.

Dance lessons. This was just great wasn't it? How in the name of merlin was she expected to dance? She could easily step on someone's toes and cause an accident! And anyways, why were there dance lessons in the first place? How was this going to benefit people? Unless there was a ball coming up...

Kita walked into the gazebo where the dance lessons were taking place and looked around. There were quite a few people here. Was this how popular the idea of dancing was at Hogwarts?

Now... where to sit? Eeee! There were beanbags! Kita made her way towards a beanbag, passing the Professors as she did so. "Morning Mr. Stryker," Was he teaching dance? "Morning Professor Bentley! Morning, er..." What was the Healer's name? "Ms!" Was that good enough? She smiled at all three of them before continuing her walk. Reaching the beanbags, she flopped down, a small smile on her face.

Shannon shook his head. "Nah. Never been one for dancing. I'm not that coordinated." He admitted to her. "It should be interesting to say the least." He added on with a shrug of his shoulders. "You seem pretty excited for it though." He stated, she definitely seemed a lot more happier being there than he did. He couldn't help but think that Daphne was probably the only way he was going to get through the lesson.

Jai looked around to see Rafe calling him. He shrugged a little and headed over."Not a lot of guys here huh? I just hope I'm not bruised and broken when we're through here." Jai said, with a chuckle. Jai grew up with dance in his family. His mom, aunts and uncles always had parties, so it's almost a family requirement to learn to dance.

"So, you up for this?" Jai asked Rafe.

"I'm sure you're good." Daphne wasn't a good dancer but she loved it. It was so relaxing and fun. Excited? "Yeah, I am. I can't wait to see what dance form we're going to learn.." Salsa, hip-hop, waltz..or even ballet? Nahh. Ballet wasn't possible but yeah..she was excited, to say the least. "So, how has your first week at Hogwarts been like?"

Jayden heard word that there was going to be some sort of dance class going on. Jayden figured she should come, she liked dancing, it was totally her thing. "This should be interesting" she thought as she entered the gazebo."Hello Professor Bentley!" Jayden greeted her with a smile.

Marilyn smirked when she seen Josh. "The heels gave you ideas, I spose? Wanna go completely fem now?"

Deciding on taking a seat beside Cassie, the blonde leaned in. "I'm doing okay...My feelings are just...still hurt."

Hearing something sit beside her, Marilyn turned her smiling face away from Cassie...only to lose it a second later. She should have smelled him...Not that he smelt bad. It was weird and made no sense. She could just tell when he was near. Unfortunately.

He was saying something to Jai...

"Rafe...what ARE you doing?"

"Yeah, if it's formal dancing, that's not really my style, but it's encouraged in higher society." Rafe could care less about the waltz or mambo or whatever else was on that stupid show 'Magical Dancing With Stars' that had old washed up has beens like members of The Weird Sisters. "At least we don't have to get dressed up for this thing."

"I guess I'm as good as ready." Rafe shrugged. "I hope there's not a dance involve slapping...if so I would avoid a certain someone." He tilted his head over to Marilyn's direction.


Speaking of... "Oh Marilyn, I didn't realize I was sitting next to you!" Rafe was being extremely sarcastic and a bit over-dramatic. "Didn't you realize this was a dance class? That's why I'm here, though I bet you were confused and thought this was a comedy class...we all know you're an expert in slapstick!" Rafe forcefully grinned. He turned his back to her and continued his conversation with Jai.

Caroline every unwillingly walked down to the gazebo. Dance class, she wasn't going to the some stupid school of the arts was she? No. She was attending a school of witchcraft and wizardary. She finally decided to go down to the lesson.

When she got the gazebo and seen kita. she smiled to Mr. Stryker "Good Morning Mr.Stryker" Or did teaching dance make him a professor? She walked along over to Kita she bummped her with her elbow. She was standing near where she seen Jai and Rafe talking "Hey, Jai, Rafe." she waved and smiled over to the boys. Then pulled Kita over with her to join.

Gideon wasn't even sure why he was attending the dance class that had been advertised about. It wasn't like it was an academic class that was required or anything but no matter the reason, the fourth year found himself following the rest of his fellow students making their way out to the gazebo. There was already a fair amount of people of all ages already there including the man teaching and two others.

"Good day Monsieur Stryker..." he greeted the groundskeeper. "Professor Bentley...Healer Brookes," he added nodding politely to each in turn before looking around to find a spot. There were a few familiar faces but as he walked around he found himself near Selina.

"Hey," he greeted simply as he stood off to the side.

Anakin was wiggled from side to side on the pillow, both in attempts of entertaining himself as well becoming comfortable. He hadn't picked the best seating, but at least it was going to be more comfortable then just the concrete insides of the gazebo.

Picking at a lose strand near the bottom of his robes, Anakin's head swiveled when he felt a light poke, and the grin was immediate spotting the hand it belonged to. "Hey Queenie. So you're here to endure the lesson regardless?" He knew she hated dancing, she'd said so herself, so he was a little shocked Vashti hadn't just skipped. Well, not really, skipping didn't seem her type of thing anyways.

Marilyn glared him down, hoping that he didn't think for one moment she wouldn't cause a scene...

UGH, if it weren't for the fact that she did NOT want to lose anymore house points...

GAH!!

Turning back to Cassie and just deciding to ignore his presence altogether, she exhaled deeply. Evelyn better be glad she had more house...respect than she did the urge to hex Rafe's stupid face off.

"I cannot believe he sat down beside me...after what happened!"

"Hey Sweet Caroline! What's happening girl?" Rafe was happy to see a familiar face and one that wasn't giving him the death stare. He then took notice that she didn't come over by herself. It was another girl he wasn't familiar with.

"Hi!" He gave a little wave to Caroline's friends. Then, gave Jai a nudge. "Well, the odds are certainly in our favor. We are surrounded by beautiful women..." He gave the new girl a wink.

"...well almost," he said as he heard Marilyn's snarky comment. She really needed to get over it.

Jai chuckled,"I concur. I'm not one to get dressed up to dance. Why would you get dressed up to dance. It's really beyond me."he said. He had to bite down on his lip to keep from laughing at Rafe and Marilyn's exchange. They were always at it. It was sometime entertaining at other times you just had to turn a deaf ear and blind eye. He cocked one eyebrow at the two when Rafe turned back to him.

Jai looked up when Caroline came in. He smiled at her when she came over, dragging Kita as well. "Nice of you to join us Caroline. Hello, Kita." he said to the two."Hey, it's gonna be fun. So no worries." he told Caroline."You can be my partner and you can dance on my toes." He said, flashing her a grin.


Jai laughed,"Yes it is. I always like having beautiful women around me, well, woman, if you get me."he said, jerking his chin toward Caroline. When Rafe made a snide remark pointed at Marilyn he shook his head. He wasn't about to touch that with a ten foot pole.

Nudge, nudge!

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!

Who in the name of merlin was nudging her like that? Hmph! Kita turned her head and looked up at the blonde girl. "Caroline!" she squealed, standing up and throwing her arms around the girl. Letting go, she grinned at the girl who... was walking away? And dragging her along? What?!

Oh. She was taking her to Jai and... someone else. Frowning slightly, her gaze turned to Caroline as she raised an eyebrow. Was the girl... planning something? She hoped not! 'Slytherin' and 'planning something' was never a good combination.

But there's no reason to worry about that now. No! "Hi Jai!" she said, smiling at him, "And, er, hi person i don't know." Was that last bit even needed? She waved back at the two boys, immediately forgetting about any plans a certain snake might be making.

Ellie was actually surprised at how many people didn't look so enthused to be at the dance lessons. Did no one like to dance these days? She almost snorted when Professor Bentley and the school nurse trotted in. This should definitely be interesting.

A grin appeared when Dallin plopped down next to her on the beanbag. A tight squeeze, but she certainly didn't mind. "Hey you." She said with a smile. Ellie briefly leaned in to kiss his cheek, but then remembered. Aha. No kisses for two weeks! A small evil smirk flashed across her lips before changing the subject. "You ready for this?"

Shannon couldn't help but laugh. "No, you just don't understand." He told her, "I'm HORRIBLE at dancing." He said, emphasising the word "horrible". "Maybe you can keep me motivated." He told her, "Actually, first you have to get me motivated to keep me motivated to begin with." He corrected himself.

"It's been pretty good. I haven't really gotten to explore the place yet. But that'll come in time. It's just fantastic." Shannon said nodding his head as he looked at the others in the gazebo. "What about you?" He asked.

Daisy looked up from where she was sitting. There was Kita, failing to be normal again.
Finally.
Someone Daisy actually knew.
She got up; being a complete loner was not fun, especially in Daisy's case. She needed to taaaaalk. To yack her face off to someone about something.
All the quiet days of summer really got on her nerves, causing her to spend most of it slumped in the village phone-box talking to her muggle-born friends. And boy did she look weird doing it...

'Kita,' she grinned at her 7th year friend, half running across the gazebo to her. 'I have chocolate!' she said happily, waiting for Kita's eyes to light up as she pulled the massive bar out of her hands. 'And I can't eat it all by myself...'

Ronnie hasn't really seen anyone she knew yet, so she just sat for a longer time twirling her hair again

"That's because you THINK you're horrible. If you try..I mean, you might even turn out be a great dancer..or at least, you might enjoy dancing. You never know." Daphne snorted. Get him motivated to keep him motivated? "I'll keep encouraging you..so, you don't have to worry about that." The girl said with a wink.

"Good." Daphne gave a smile. "I've explored the place a bit..I visited the grounds and they are beautiful..especially the lake. I don't really miss Beauxbatons much now.." Daphne was starting to love Hogwarts...now, that they had dancing lessons.

Lysandra heard that there would be dance lessons at the gazebo today, but for what, she had no clue. Why would there be dance lessons? she asked herself. Well, it wouldn't hurt to learn how to dance, though she was downright horrible at it.
She reached the gazebo to see a fair amount of students from every house already there. She then started to look for people that she knew.

Caroline smiled to the boys when she stopped in front of them. "Nothing, much Rafe, yourself?" She laughed When he said that they were surrounded by beautiful women, then she grinned at Jai when he said woman giving him a you-know-it look or something that.

"Oh Sorry Rafe, this is my best friend Kita Lewis." She introduced them. Then turning back to Jai "I was kidding I think I can handle the work that comes with dancing."

This was an event. It was definitely. Everyone seemed to be here. Even Professors of other subjects were showing up - EVEN the school nurse.

WOW.

The older boy had to be here. WHY? Because well .. it was his last year and he wanted to enjoy everything. It took him a moment but he found the blonde .. he wanted to sit next to. "Hellooo" he said from behind her before plopping down on a pillow next to her.

Jai winked at her before patting the seat next to him and said,"Care to sit next to me? I reckon we all settle down before they kick us out or even worse choose us to demonstrate first."

He nudged Rafe and said,"What I tell you?" before looking up at Kita with a charming smile. he shifted a bit so that Kita could sit next to Rafe."You can sit here Kita. I'm sure class is about to begin."

louise walked over into the grounds, she sat down on a bag, she was not going to dance, she was just going to watch, she had to take it easy

Rafe raised an eyebrow. Seems weird for Jai to be with a girl who "apparently" likes someone else. Rafe just ignored it. He wasn't really fond of rumors and gossip to begin with. "She's quite a catch." That was a simple enough reply right? And maybe if Marilyn heard it, it would push her a little closer to the edge.

"Um...hello." Rafe extended his hand towards Kita. "My name's Rafe Lycaon. Kita is it? That's a pretty name. Means 'kitten' in Spanish right?" He was a bit rusty on some of his languages. Maybe it meant something different entirely in another language. Oh, now he was over analyzing. He just flashed her a smile in hope it overlooked any chance of insulting her, just in case.

"I'm glad to see you have come...I would've hated to end up with Jai as a dance partner." He laughed. Wouldn't that cause quite a stir?

Rafe then noticed for Kita to sit next to him. It felt like there was a huge lump in his throat. "Um...sure, if you want to...I mean...there's a lot of space... and I don't know you... and there's room...space....sit wherever." Was it hot out here? What was Jai getting at? Sure Kita was beautiful, but was this a safe move with Marilyn sitting on the other side of him. Not that Marilyn had a say so, but if she was going to hex him, he would hate it if Kita got in the crossfire.
