Aurora entered the owlery, scowling a little, and scoured the walls for Sage... nope, nowhere to be seen.
But no news was good news right?
Either that or they'd been too stressed to answer her letter... Oh why couldn't someone tell her how Krys was?! She gazed out of the window, scrutinising every inch of the sky for her eagle owl but didn't see anything... She rested her elbows on the ledge and gazed at the grounds... you could see the Quidditch pitch from this window... where her very own daddy snake had won the match only a few hours earlier, a small smile or pride came to her lips as she thought about it...

After a nice long nap proceeding his victory, Aaron climbed aaaaaaaaall the way up the school to the owlry. Aaron must have seen the entire school that day. The pitch, to the dungeons, to the towers. And he was sore. But the boy HAD to make it up the tower. He was expecting a VERY important letter.
Half-bursting into the room, Aaron's first thoughts were to find Avery, but he got distracted by a little certain someone. "Hello, Anderson-Girl," as he was calling his sidekick. "Where's that super-suit I told you to make?" He looked over the grounds where she was looking, before looking down at the girl and smiling.

Aurora jumped and shook herself from her little reverie. It was daddy snake! She couldn't help herself and ran over to hug him. "Congratulations! We are SO GOING TO WIN!!!" she said before stepping back and raising an eyebrow. "Hmm, Anderson-girl? Really? That has to be the lamest super hero name ever... and that suit... still not going to happen." she said, staring at him as if to say 'You sir, are a madman.'

She didn't like his name.
Hmph. "Well. You're not a super hero. You're a side kick. So there." After a moment of a serious look. It broke into a smile and Aaron couldn't help but laugh. Looking at Aurora, he saw out of the corner of his eye a perched Avery. AND SHE HAD A LETTER! "Ah!" he said before approaching the brown barn owl.
As Aaron took off the letter off of Avery's foot, he got very excited and nervous. "Avery, this is Aurora. Aurora, Avery," the Captain said before finally getting the letter open.
---
He read it. And then he paused. And then he read it again. And paused. And read it one more time.... And couldn't believe it. A look of disbelief appeared on his face after a minute with the letter. He looked to Aurora who was still standing there. He took out his wand from his pocket and waved it around himself, casting "Muffliato."
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAA
AAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" he yelled with joy. Of course, no one else could hear it. But it was clear he was screaming with excitement. Waving the spell off and grinning, he hugged Aurora around the waist, picked her up and kissed her on the cheek before dropping her back down. The captain paced around the room a few times before looking at Aurora and saying, out of breath, "This, letter," he began. "Is from the Manager of the Chudley Cannons.... "Hello Aver- OH! PUT ME DOWN RIGHT NOW AARON ANDERSON!!" Her eyes widened as he kissed her and dropped her again. She rubbed at her cheek "What in the name of Merlin's saggy left- oh... THAT'S AMAZING!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!" so that's why he'd attacked her like that. "Well... just WOW! Professional Quidditch Daddy-Snake!" she hugged him back. "Yes. If I have to have a silly name so do you." she murmured.

"Dude, I don't care," Aaron said honestly. "If I'm going to be on the CHUDLY FREAKING CANNONS then you can call me whatever you want." Aaron couldn't believe it. He was going to have a career. Granted, he was only going to be a RESERVE for the cannons, but it didn't matter! At least he was going to play PROFESSIONAL QUIDDITCH. The explosion in his head was overwhelming. He tried to calm down.
"Who do I tell first??" he thought out loud. My parents? NO! IRIS! She had to be in the common room."Iris..." Aaron said out loud. If they were going the direction Aaron thought they were going, she should probably be the first to know.... After Aurora.

Aurora grinned "You have no idea what you just let yourself in for..." she said.
"Oh, I saw Iris the other day, in the three broomsticks. Some boy was throwing himself at her... I haven't seen her since..." Aurora frowned as she thought, "Oh, no, I have, I saw her at the prefects thingy. So it's okay, he didn't eat her." she laughed.

What??? NOW?!!?!?! She chose NOW to tell him that?!?!? Aaron stopped and thought before completely over reacting. "Well, who was this boy??? What did Iris do???" as long as Iris didn't do anything back, as he knew she wouldn't, everything would be okay.... right?

"I don't know who he was! And I wasn't really paying much attention after that, my food came. Don't think you need to worry though." she laughed, "It's that other Slytherin boy you need to worry about." she said, mischievously, "I think he's called Jimmy or something... but it's obvious how much he likes her..." she was completely ignorant to the fact that this might upset Aaron. "But every time I see her she's waiting for you or talking about you so I think you're safe." she added, her bright green eyes flashing with amusement.

Aaron was nervous when Aurora didn't go on about the boy, but when she brought up Jimbo, Aaron couldn't help but laugh. "Yeah, I know," he said. "But he's Iris' friend and hasn't done anything... Controversial," Aaron hoped it all stayed that way. But Aaron was confident Iris wouldn't think twice about staying with a.... Oh that's right.... CHUDLEY CANNON.
Aaron couldn't help but smile after what Aurora said. 'waiting for you or talking about you,' He knew he loved Iris.

"Yet... But I wouldn't be surprised; Iris is awesome, I bet everyone wants her. But none of them are professional Quidditch players!" she grinned. She had to admit, she was rather proud of her daddy snake. "I think you should just get married and live happily ever after!" she said as she saw him smile. Being twelve, Aurora wasn't really interested in boys and all that, not quite yet, but even she could see that Aaron and Iris were made for eachother!

Rose, polyjuiced as Jordan, walked in to visit her owl. Hazel nipped her finger agressively. 'Ow! Hey, Hazel! It's me Rose!' Rose told her owl, not bothering to change her voice. The owl hooted and nipped her finger affectionately. 'That's better!' Rose grinned.
Like a Domino ♥ Karma Kimalia ♥ ♥ Taco Bell ♥ Sorry for party rocking
Aurora (Kimalia) walked into the Owlery despite being in Aurora's appearance. She had already forgotten to write back to her brother twice and didn't want to forget after an hour. Running inside she nearly lost her footing on the slippery floor. She took an owl nearby that seemed quiet and attached her letter to it. "Well, I don't know if you have an owner or not.." The owl merely blinked at her clearly confused by her speaking. "Never mind, it's a fairly long journey so take a safe way over delivering it."
SPOILER!!: Letter
Hi Dennis,
Sorry about the long delay, but you know how Hogwarts gets. *smile* Dad wrote me last night saying Mum's been a little sick off and on, so I think you should write to her. Good news, won two games of Quidditch, I think I'm going to be following in your footsteps if I can keep it up, hehe. At the moment, I'm polyjuiced as a housemate, she's cool, though for the next hour I'm going to be confused out of my mind, haha. See you this summer, Big bro!
Afterward, Aurora turned on the spot to walk out. If anyone knew Aurora, they hopefully didn't bump into her too quickly, in hopes Kimalia wouldn't ruin Aurora's hair by slipping in bird droppings.

Salander entered the doorway to the owlery and glanced warily overhead. So many owls, most of which have either tried to take a bite of him or whack him with their feathery wings more than once. It was mostly due to that that he was rarely here other than a quick pickup of what he sent for, as most of his messages to the outside world he is able to send using his enchanted scroll. He shoved his hands into his pockets, trying to keep an eye out for Wasabi or Lexi.

"WASABI! Bad girl! Why did you DO that?" Lexi shouted before shoving her now bleeding finger into her mouth and muttering incoherently at her bird. The owl simply LOOKED at her. Pfffft. Wasabi did NOT care that her finger hurt. Served her right for not coming to visit all week long and for not being in her dorms so the bird could see her.
HMPH!
"Oh! Sal. Hey. Sorry... she bit my finger when I took the letter. She is a right pain lately," Lexi muttered as she came toward him. The letter she had received was half sticking out of the pocket of her jeans, but she felt like it was pulsing like a neon light... a beacon BEGGING everyone to look. She was miserable about it all, but she smiled at Sal anyway. "Thanks for coming up though... I know you aren't keen on this place."

He felt some of Rose's features go away. Slowly, but he could feel them disapparating from his body. That's a good sign, he thought. Now to visit Max, his owl, and send him a message.
Talking to Max, "How are you Max? Sorry for not visiting awhile, I've been pretty busy with school. I've got another letter I want you to send to Chris. Just want to check up on him. Afterall, he's the only family I've got left. I don't know what I'd do without him."
Whispering to Max, "Oh, and I look like someone else, because I just drinked a Polyjuice potion, which transforms you into someone else. I transformed as one of my friends, Rose." Now he started to write the letter, taking breaks and looking up to Max and gently touching and rubbing his feathers. The note wrote:
Quote:
Dear Chris,
How are you? Sorry I haven't wrote you in awhile, I've been really busy with school. I love it, and everything is going fine. I can't wait to see you for the summer. How is everything going over in the ministry? Again can't wait to see you.
PS We learned how to brew a Polyjuice Potion today. My appearance is actually someone else at the moment.
Love, Jordan
Your Nephew
He gave the note to Max, and he flew off like any owl would, to deliver the owl to his Uncle, his only family.

He turned sharply at the sound of Lexi's voice, her upset ringing clearly in the owlery. This was the reason why he didnt like it here, to him, birds are wild, ravenous beasts, and they had more than one advantage over humans that they use without hesitation. How can soft flesh fight off wide, feathered wings, sharp beaks and pointed claws? Feathered bullies they are!
As he neared her her spotted the letter sticking out of her pocket as if it was hurriedly shoved in. He wanted to ask her what it was but he saw her finger in her mouth. "Hey Lexi lemme look at that..." he said as he searched his pockets and brought out.... a kleenex packet. Huh. He took out a piece and folded it up, turning it into a makeshift bandage. He took her hand and rolled the tissue bandage around the cut on her finger, then with another tissue, twisted it up and used it as a tie, securing the bandage on Lexi's finger "There you go!" he grinned, giving a gentle kiss on her lil boo-boo "Hopefully would keep the bleeding down a bit, at least until we can get to Healer Moretti." he said as his eyes fell on that letter sticking out of her pocket. Trying not to appear too nosy, he angled his head and uttered "Catching up with old friends?"

Wasabi ruffled her feathers and EYED the boy. Surely HE was the reason her Lexi had been away so much. Wasabi was SURE of it. She had a right mind to poop on his head, but she was FAR too dignified for such a barbarous act.
HOOT HOOT HOOOOOOOT! she called out trying to make it as ANGRY as she could do and then with a great flap of wings the old bird flew off out of one of the owlery windows in search of mice. HMPH. Stupid human boy!
Lexi pouted at her owl as she HOOTED at her and then flew away. Temperamental old thing, she was. HMPH FOR LIFE!
Sucking on her finger once she let Sal doctor it up and smiled slightly at him fussing over her. It was cute. A little nip from Wasabi was one of the least painful things she had endured. Heh. "Thanks, darling. She is just upset with me since I haven't been around lately. She gets that way. There is a reason I was drawn to her I reckon... she truly is my familiar," Lexi said as she looked out of one of the windows to see a speck that she thought was Wasabi.
Oh... the letter. Sighing slightly Lexi looked back to Sal and said, "Something like that I reckon you could say. Mu... The Denver's wrote to explain to me -- that they have relinquished all custodial rights to me... I am emancipated as it were. No big deal, I reckon. So close to my seventeenth birthday innit? They... they made it a point to let me know that I had greatly disappointed them, though. That wasn't pleasant to read though..." She broke off and looked down at her feet as she used the toe of her shoe to kick... what she REALLY hoped was a rock... and not a massive, hardened glob of bird poopy. Ewww.
Looking back up after a moment she sighed once more, her face taking on a look much older than her years. "Reckon they didn't want me anymore. Says here I can keep the Denver name... since I had it legally changed and all that... but I get the feeling that they would rather I didn't. So... I guess I will have to pay all that money to have it changed once more. Fun." She then chewed on her lip nervously as she waited for his reactions.
Aurora walked up to the owlery, finally getting the hang of Kimalia's legs. She scrutinised all the perches for Sage, he should be here by now. She looked out of the window and saw a small black shape flying towards her. Her eagle owl flew into the owlery with a letter and hopped down to have a little food before delivering it to it's intended recipient. "Sage?" Aurora held out her arm for him to fly up. He didn't. Oh... she didn't look like herself. "Sage, it's me, it's Aurora. Come on." The owl turned his head to the side and hopped up to the windowsill to look more closely. Then he held out his leg. There were two rolls of parchment attached, Aurora took the first letter and opened it.
SPOILER!!: Letter 1
Aurora smiled weakly, at least he was getting better... She took the other letter, this had her father's handwriting on it... She opened it and scanned over before bursting into tears... she realised that she looked like Kimalia and hoped none of her friends would appear and catch her crying... she'd have no idea how to explain that...
SPOILER!!: Letter 2
Aurora fell against the wall and Sage fluttered along the windowsill to give her room. "Oh Krys..." she said... What if he died and she was still here? The tears poured down her face as she re-read Kryspin's letter... how could he have got worse so soon after that? She cried into the sleeves of her robes; she was glad that Kimalia was almost the same size as her, otherwise she'd have had to borrow Kimalia's robes and that would have made her feel guilty about crying all over them...
I Can Accept Failure. But I Can't Accept Not Trying
Jordan had heard that he had got a letter back from Chris, his Uncle, and only family, so he headed over to see Max, and opened up his letter to read it, the parchment read:
Quote:
Jordan,
I'm doing good over here. Ministry is holding up. You got to use a Polyjuice Potion as a first year? Wow, that's amazing. I've always wanted to try that potion. We should try it sometime at home, however it takes a long time to brew a Polyjuice Potion. Well, finish off school strong and don't forget to take care of Max.
Uncle Chris
He was good to hear that everything was alright. Then again, what does the Ministry's holding up mean? Is it a sign? A sign that bad things are happening? He didn't know what that meant, hopefully nothing bad. Then he thought he might not understand it anyway. So he just ignored it, and put the parchment into his pocket. After putting the parchment back in the envelope he approached Max, his snow owl.
He softly pet it, and whispered, "Ready to go home? It's alright we're almost finished with school. I'm sure you like it here with having all this freedom. Don't worry, you'll get out a lot at home. Anyways, I best be going, I've got a DADA workout to do and much more. See ya Max." As Jordan walked away he made sure he had everything and then pet Max one more time before leaving.
