It felt weird coming up here for Thea, knowing little Lullah was at home and not here waiting for her. Sighing, she began rummaging for eagle feathers. There must be some somewhere..

As she wandered about, the sound of her flowery wellies crushing various rodent bones could be heard. Ew. Heading to an empty perch, Thea wrinkled her nose as she stretched out her hand. Then leaning in, while holding her breath, Thea spotted a couple of the feathers she was looking for! Grabbing them, she came back out trying not to wretch.

Holding them up triumphantly, she pocketed them and climbed back down the stone steps.

Rose walked in to visit her owl, Hazel. 'Hello, Hazel!' Rose grinned. 'How're you today?' Rose asked her owl and got a hoot in reply. 'I'm fine, thanks! How're you?' Rose grinned. This was a game she loved to play. Hoot. 'I'm fine thanks, how're you?'. Hoot. 'And, stop!' Rose laughed with her owl... Well, she thought Hazel was laughing!

She noticed William and Presley in the room. Sneak sneak sneak. Get out quickly... She also noticed the way William was looking at Presley... The way he used to look at her... Pull yourself together, girl! Rose told herself. 'He moves on fast!' Rose said, admitedly surprised! I mean, he should have soome consideration for her, she was obviously just a play thing! Didn't matter how she got hurt! Rose blinked back tears and walked fastly to the Girl Dormitories. She couldn't cry in public... How she could feel such hatred... She didn't think it was possible! Sniff. Sniff sniff.

" You are right and I am guilty of the same thing Rose did to me, I am sorry' Wiliam told Presley." Yes, yo ushould be freinds with Rose and me" William said to Presley."Can't help how everyone feels about me" Willaim explained to Presley." I am really sorry because I think I pressured you, but I promised I wait and I can't break my promise to you" Willaim explained to Presley." Looks like Rose is really hurt, you should go be with heer" Willaim smiled. " I will see you around later. Willaim walked away from Presley, heartbroken.

Rose walked into the room looking like she was about to cry. Presley froze. If any situation was awkward, this was it. Then William randomly left. "Wait! Rose! Presley called out.

"William walked back to te Owlery. "Sorry for walking out on you" Wiliam told Presley. " Rose and I are friends again" William said to Presley. We hashed everything out at the whomping Willow" Wiliam explained to Presley. " I know yo uwant to talk to Rose, so I know J better leave you firls to talk to each other" William smiled.

"Normal isn't always all it's cracked up to be Carter. Trust me, I know this." She was from a normal pureblood family and things weren't always easy for her. "Besides, do you think you would be any different if your family was what you call 'normal'?" She didn't think so. He would still be the same crazy boy that he is now.

Marie rolled her eyes and grinned at him. "Oh yes Carter, you're the coolest ever. No one is cooler than you are." Yeah right, in his dreams.

He wanted to invent a cheesecake delivery service place? "Um, are you hungry for cheesecake right now or what?" she asked with a little laugh then got serious. "I'll make a deal with you. You stop saying IF you go try out and actually go to the tryouts, make the team and then help them win and I'll send you a cheesecake after every game that you win." If they lose... she would send him a picture of a cheesecake to remind him of what he could of had if they had won.

"Well of course it's not the same as just coming to school. It's gonna be way better than going to school. You'll be an adult, you'll get to come and go as you please, you'll get to do things you could never do at school. And you will get to see your family more than you do now." Seriously, what was she going to have to do to get him to see that things aren't going to be as bad as he thinks they will be. "Fine Carter, your blood status may come into play but I see it as a positive thing. Yes, you're muggleborn but you're just as good at what you do as those of us that are pureblood. If you ask me, that makes you better than anyone who is pureblood. You've only had a few years to learn what you know. We've had our whole lives." So he knew how her family treated her in the beginning yet here he was dating her cousin. "Sure, my family had their reservations about you at first Carter but they grew to love you.. They seen how happy you made me and that's all they care about. My happiness means more to them than the blood status of my boyfriend.." Of course they didn't think so highly of him anymore but that had nothing to do with his blood status. That was all because of the way he broke her heart. "I know things aren't exactly easy for you and I can only imagine what it would be like to have parents who know nothing about my world, but you have got to stop feeling sorry for yourself Carter. You have lots of people that love and care about you... that do know about our world. I know it's not the same as your parents knowing, but really, you're not alone here. And just because your parents can't see what it is that you do doesn't mean they can't be proud of you. Think about it, would you be any less proud of them being doctors if you had never actually seen what it was they so?" She highly doubted he would.

Jumping a bit when Carter jumped up and started kicking things Marie pulled her legs up to her chest and held them close to her. Why was he so damn mad at her? She was only trying to help him out here. She let him throw his little temper tantrum though. She wasn't about to stand up and try to stop him. Once he sat back down next to her she relaxed a little when he said he was sorry. "You do know I'm only trying to help you out here right?" They were complicated? Yeah, that pretty much summed up their relationship in one word. Grinning she looked over at him. "Why Mr Phillips, are you asking me to go to Ireland with you and check things out?" She totally would go with him if he was asking. Matty was probably going to be gone most of the summer again so it's not like she had anything planned. Besides, this would help keep her mind off of things that could go terribly wrong over the summer.

Crap. If he had just asked her to go with him he was probably going to change his mind now. Looking down now she tried to figure out how to word this right. "I'm not against you being happy anymore. I just... don't want you to be happy with... her." She hated the idea of Caroline being the one that makes him happy. She would rather see him with Destiny than she would with her... cousin. "I'm really sorry Carter." Stupid Caroline. Why did she have to be the one he was dating?

Taking the earrings back from him she smiled a little. "Thanks." Now she felt really bad for what she had done. Here she had just admitted to him that she gave him a negative reading on purpose and yet he still wanted her to have the earrings... even though she only had them because his sister sent them to her. "You know your sister is going to bug me until I tell her what was in the package."

"I'd probably be doing better in History of Magic..." Carter said after Marie asked if he'd be any different.

He beamed when Marie finally admitted how amazing he was. "That wasn't so hard was it?" he said giving her a playful little nudge.

"How long have you known me Marie?" he asked. "You should know I'm always hungry for cheesecake." Always. "You'd really do that?" he asked. "And how would you do that? Is there already a cheesecake delivery service?" Oh no! Was he too late? Did someone else already have his brilliant idea?

Carter then blinked several times as Marie continued to talk. He had no idea that she still thought of him that way. "See... that's another thing I don't know." he said sadly. "I have no idea what it's like outside of Hogwarts..." And for the first time he realized what was truely bothering him about the whole situation. Outside of school and Diagon Alley he'd only been to Mina's aunt's (which was in the middle of muggle London) and Destiny's grandmother's (which was the middle of crazy town). Unless you counted the Lawsonator's. Which he didn't... since that whole two week period was an awkward blur. Outside of Hogwarts was a world he'd been all over. It was a world he thought he knew.

"Umm... actually... I usually only see what they do when things are bad..." he said. Like the time his almost brother died. "Sorry. Missing your point. Continue."

He nodded after she said she was only trying to help. He then blinked twice. That sounded almost like... she was willing to go. "That would depend..." he said slowly. "Are you actually considering it?" And more importantly - this wasn't some weird girl mind game was it? Or worse - a weird Marie mind game.

"Oh..." Carter said after Marie's little confession. How exactly do you react to that? "I... erm... think you lost your say in who I'm dating..." he said. She lost that say back when she was convinced that he was snogging Destiny. "If you're good maybe I'll let you pick next time." he offered. Of course, he wasn't expecting a 'next time' any time soon.

He smiled. "I know." he said. If there was one thing his sister was good at it was bugging people until they did what she wanted them to. Carter referred to it as "being the youngest syndrome." He's done research. Millions and millions have this disease.

"Go ahead and tell her." he said. "Just. Uh... try not to get her hopes up." He cleared his throat. "She's kind of convinced that you're meant to be her big sister..."

He really shouldn't have bought her any of those girly movies for Christmas... Now she saw 'chick flick' everywhere.

So here they are, at the owlery. Heather looked about. Maybe she can introduce Sythe to Kurumi now. she turned and smiled at Kurumi. "Kurumi...wait here...I'm going to show you something!" she said and turned around. "Sythe! Sythe! Where are you? Come on down! please?" she called and a few seconds ensued. Did the owl not hear her calls? It had been quite a long time since she last went up here....

Wait, what was it that he heard? The little mistress perhaps? he looked. Ah, there she is, the little munchkin. Adorable...and who's that other adorable thing beside her? stretching its wings, the white snowy owl swooped down quick, but perched gently on top of his mistress' head. He missed the little tyke.

"There you are, Sythe!" Heather then turned to Kurumi with a smile so big on her face. "Kurumi, this is Sythe, my owl. He used to be Camellia's...but he wanted to be with me...and he loves perching on my head."

Kurumi followed Heather up to the Owlery making sure to be extra careful so that the contents didn't spill out and cause her bag to smell like a rotten eggs for the remainder of the term. As she made the final turn, Kurumi peeked into her bag to make sure the bread mold and eggs were safe. She even decided to take the opportunity to wrapped the vials in her Gryffindor scarf just to be safe.

Kurumi smiled as Heather introduced her to her snowy owl. "Oh, she is lovely," Kurumi smiled as she bowed in greeting to the owl. She then noticed that several of the owl's feathers had fallen onto the floor and she knelt down to pick them up. "Sythe, do you suppose we could use some of your feathers for our assignment?" she asked.

Feathers, his feathers to be exact are the ones being picked up by this nice-looking girl. Stretching his wings, he flew and landed on top of Kurumi's head and settled there for a bit.

"aww...he likes you, Kurumi." Heather said, watching her owl be still at kurumi's head. "I could take a guess he would love it if we use some of his feathers." she smirked. "Come on Sythe. Back here now."

psh. Ah, the adorable munchkin wants him back on her head. He swooped towards her once more and landed graciously on her shoulders instead, pecking at her cheek, wanting a biscuit...or a cookie.

"I meant on my head, Sythe..." Heather pouted at the owl as she began to pick up some of the fallen feathers. But then she noticed his pecking at her cheek. "You hungry?...i think i have biscuits.....somewhere..." she searched her pockets, but then realized, she had forgotten to take some biscuits with her. She frowned. "how about i come back later?" she told the owl.

Turning to Kurumi for a bit, Heather remembered about her sister's owl whom she had not sent back yet. They needed feathers right? and they would need ....eagle owl feathers. Never mind the glares her sister's owl gives. They need this. "Kurumi...i've also got another owl to introduce to you." she said and turned to Sythe. "Where's Eraqus?"

He heard her voice. He knows it's her, but he did not go down there yet, because she was looking for the other owl. This time, he heard her clearly, that she was calling him. He stretched his magnificent wings and swooped down, making his presence known to the miniscule girl who always trembled at his sight. Was it his glare? He hoped so. He found pleasure at teasing and scaring the girl so much, very different from her sister. He perched on a nearby window.

Heather stopped and looked at the eagle owl before her. Confirmed, it was Camellia's owl. She approached it cautiously...and found that the owl glared at her again. She winced. "K-K-Kurumi...t-this is Camellia's...o-owl..." she said. "H-he was supposed to go back home soon...after Cams sent me a package of new camera films... but...i was supposed to send back a letter...i haven't written one yet and he won't leave until i do so." she nervously said and turned to Eraqus. Maybe if she asked politely, he'd do so?

"Eraqus....uhm....c-can we have...s-some fo your f-feathers?"

Kurumi tried not to squeal when the snowy owl landed on top of her head. Talons and her delicate skin were not the best of combinations, but at least the owl was gentle and she heard her hoot softly. "Um...glad to hear it..." Kurumi said rolling her violet eyes upwards to try and catch a glimpse of the owl. She'd hate to think about what would happen if the owl didn't like her. It would be a disaster and would most likely earn her another visit to the hospital wing.

When the owl fluttered away, a small trail of white feathers followed her, and Kurumi scooped up a few more and added them to her fluffy collection - this time the fluffy being of the good variety and not the moldy kind.

Next, Kurumi saw a rather scary looking owl. People were often grumpy when they were hungry, so she supposed that owls were no different. Digging into her pockets, Kurumi pulled out a few of the tuna fish cookies she always kept on her for Walnut and set them in front of the owl.

"Heather, I think he is distracted eating the cookies," she whispered pointing to the owl. "I think we can grab some of his feathers." Namely the ones that had fallen around his feet. Kurumi didn't want to see this owl when he was REALLY angry. Kurumi brushed a few of the feathers off and into her vial until it was filled and no more could fit. It now was a pretty combination of brown feathers from the eagle owl and white feathers from the snowy owl.

"Well, we've got our feathers," she smiled looking over at Heather. "I was thinking of heading over to the stables next. Want to come?"

A cookie? Generous friend of this miniscule girl, she is. And Tuna at that too. Were they not asking for feathers? He shook his wings a bit, making more feathers drop as he went about to eat the cookie given to him.

Seeing Sythe without one though, he broke the cookie in half, took his half and flew back up to where he was previously staying in. He did mean to share with the little owl of hers though, he really did.

It was a wonder to Heather to see Eraqus shake its entire body to let more feathers fall and then zoom back up, leaving a half cookie for Sythe. She smiled. "THANKS ERAQUS!" she said and went to help kurumi in picking up the feathers. She took mental note to write back to Camellia as soon as possible so Eraqus can go back home. She looked at Sythe. "i think you should go back now as well."

Go back, yes...and with that cookie, thank you eraqus. The owl swooped on the window, took his half and flew back up to where he and eraqus stayed.


Heather turned back to Kurumi. Ah, to the stables next! Yey! Of course she'd love to come, this assignment was beginning to sound more and more like a treasure hunt to her and treasure hunts are fun! "Sure! Lead the way!" she said cheerfully.

Rose had gone, William had gone, and now Presley was alone with her thoughts. She leaned against the wall and pet her owl's feathers. "Why is life so tough, Mercury?" she asked. The owl looked at her as if to say 'Well why are you so stupid?' Presley groaned. Now she was imagining a discussion with an owl. She definitely needed some rest or something. Giving Mercury her last owl treat, Presley left the room as well.

'Presley! I need to tell you something!' Rose said urgently. She didn't know what had happened, but she had hung back at the wedding and didn't want Presley to be hurt... No more hurts from William...

Presley was almost out of the door when she heard Rose. She backtracked a little. Rose sounded...not okay. "Rose? What's wrong?" She looked at Rose, concern etched all over her face.

'Right, well, it depends if you want to know or not it's about William and something he's done that will probably effect you!' Rose said really fast trying to make it less. 'Do you want me to tell you at all or do you want me to tell you or do you want William to tell you...?' Rose asked, hating what she was gonna have to say...

Presley wasn't even sure she understood what Rose was trying to say. She gathered that William had done something, and Rose wanted to tell Presley, but she wasn't sure Presley wanted to know. Maybe. Presley had never done well with secrets or suspense. Oh she was a great keeper of secrets, but when she knew someone else had a secret, it would kill her not to know. "What happened? What do you want to say?" Presley asked. Rose was talking really fast, so this must be important.

Rose tried to slower her pace. It was obvious Presley couldn't really understand, but had got the jiff. 'Well, I was at the wedding and I was going to leave when I noticed William talking to a girl, the girl he had kissed whilst with me coincidentally, and they sort of... Well... It looks like they're together now, but I remember him saying he liked you, so I don't know what to think of it... Thoughts? Help? Please?' Rose said sadly. This meant no chance of a reunion...

Presley laughed. Rose was worried about this? "Yes, William told me he liked me. Don't worry about it though. We're not together, he's free to date other people. I told him so." It was really sweet of Rose to worry, but Presley wasn't really concerned about this peice of information.

Laughed? Rose was surpri........... Oh, they're not together! 'Well, I'm gutted! Can I tell you something Presley... I think I still like him, even though he sort of cheated on me... What should I do?'

"Oh, Rose!" Presley gave her friend a hug. "That must be awful!" How cold could Presley get? She hadn't even asked Rose how she was doing after the breakup! What an awful friend she was! "How can I help you?" Hopefully this was the right thing to say. Having never been in this situation, Presley didn't quite know how to help.

'I don't know, I mean he definitely cheated on me and now he's with Katelyn the one he promised he didn't kiss, but he admitted to her with me in unknown earshot...' Rose said stressful. This was sooooo stressing...

William came back to the owlery. He had to tell Presley something very important. "Excuse me, but I need to tell you someting right now" Willam told Presley. " Remember you said I could date who I wanted and vice- versa , I found a girl who has likes me since I came to Hogwarts " William said to Presley. " She is in yoiur house ans a second year student, her name is Katelynn" Willaim explained to Presley. 'She had been at my cousin's Rex's wedding because she knew him from last term and one thing led to another, so I hope you do not mind that I am going out with her" William smiled.

'After you promised you didn't kiss her!' Rose said not much upset but angry now! 'You promised! I don't think this friendship is gonna work if you can't even keep a promise as a girlfriend!'

Rose was distressed. And to be honest, the situation sounded awful. She opened her mouth to reply, when William came into the Owlery. She paused.. Much as he was a good friend to her, this conversation was not for his ears.
She waited for him to finish, the smiled. "Yes, Rose was just telling me." Presley said simply. All she wanted at this point in time was for him to go so she could talk to Rose. She didn't mind. They'd already been through this. But if she said congrats or something, Rose would be hurt. If she was rude, William would be hurt. Presley was in a very conflicted situation right now.

And Rose was upset. Presley had no freaking idea what to do now. William just needed to go so that she and Rose could finish thier discussion.
