Loud, blaring music can be heard coming from the open Transfiguration classroom. It's beckoning you to enter....?
Shaw, dressed in a long alligator skin cloak, has seated himself in a desk at the back of the room. The desk is turned so that he can see everyone that enters and no one will ever be at his back. He's removed his hat and his head shines a little from the incoming sunlight. The rest of the room is typical: desks in rows, chalkboard, books, dust.
No directions are given, no friendly smiles. Enter if you're up for learning a little something something from Shaw. But I wouldn't interrupt until the song was over if I were you...
Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.

Iris had a rough idea of what spells were needed to transfigure things into these objects, but right now, she couldn't even be bothered trying to remember what they were. "So... does anyone want to provide answers for Mr. Shaw?"
Why bother learning how to transfigure anything into something useful, eh? Iris was obviously going to need to learn how to turn a teacup into a weapon, wasn't she? Yeah, and she'd have to use her wand - her most useful and powerful weapon - to create said weapon. Honestly.

Once he had finally found the Snakes, Jamie felt a little less daunted and sort of wanted them to huddle together, like teams would do before they playe football or something. The blonde girl had clearly taken the lead but was directing questions at them rather than answering them herself. PPPFFFT, she was the older one here! The boy scratched his head then looked again at the blackboard. Mighty hammer.
Jamie opened up his textbook and searched for a good few minutes. HUH, he found answers! Yay, for textbooks! "I found... Validus - for mighty.. and.." He trailed off, skipping pages and pages to look for 'hammer' Ehh, this one was trickier. "Malleus.... maybe for hammer."
"Validus Malleus." That TOTALLY sounded like a spell. Now for wand movements. If it was hammery, then it would need battle type movements, right?
"We could just... jab our wand in front of us." Like a sword. Brilliant. Jamie was so clever. Now it was someone else's turn. The boy looked to each of the other Slytherins, sending a smile to them all.

Wait what! Did Professor, sorry, Shaw want latin words? Rose had the perfect one! But first a partner! She hoped she didn't need a partner. Rose looked in her book. She found two rather random words but they still went together! Flava Casei. It meant yellow cheese! Right, so wand movement... Like a knife! Rose giggled to herself. She really was confused... This teacher didn't explain things well, and she had no partner to explain it to her!

The other Slytherins seemed not to have heard her, she had been speaking rather quietly. "Excuse me, um, you could use Accipio Arma for weapons. I've heard it somewhere before, then you add the name of the weapon."

Carter missed pretty much the whole discussion due to his near death experience. (And YES, sitting 10 feet away from chainsaw!Destiny was a near death experience. Much closer to death then he ever wanted to be.) He then nodded a quick goodbye to Caroline before joining his fellow Gryffindors. He pulled up a seat rightto Patroclus side and looked over his shoulder to what Kurumi was writing.
He didn't know a thing about latin - other than that it was really old and according to his muggle English teacher was supposed to be a dead language.
Which meant he had no desire to learn it.
"How about we try something ending in -ifors?" he suggested. They already knew spells that ended that way... so that meant it had a higher probability of working... right?
He snatched the younger student's dictionary out of Patroclus's hand.
"So.. like contegifors for a shield..." he said. He then tossed the dictionary back on the table for someone else to use. He'd contributed. And that was enough latin for him for one day.

"Kurumi seeing as though you have an awesome list of notes already do you want to have the task of Lion Scribe?" he asked on his precious little Lion Cub, he knew he could trust her.
"Zara, for the time being I think we might save the practice run until we have something that couldn't get hurt to try our spells on!" he smiled in reaction to the girls offer to be the test-dumbie, he didn't want to vanish anyones clothes, not in a room full of students!
"Shaw!" he called to the Man of the Hour, "Could we perhaps have a dumbie in Gryffindor Robes to try out our spells on!?" You never know something may work!
"So," he turned his attention back to the group, "We need wand movements, Rosemary, Christina, Heather and Janet, do you have any ideas of a good wand movement?" he asked of the few girls who seemed a little lost.

Selina knew Latin, she knew Latin well, she had grown up with it. Half of the spells were very choppy Latin, but then again most of the regular spells and charms with Latin roots were choppy Latin so they would work. Now they knew all of the spells that they were going to use, but they still needed their motions. She spoke up, "Okay, listen I can write more spells. I know Latin really well, just tell me you want. Everyone else can work on motions and stuff."

Was he suppose to work in a group? Legend wasn't sure. He really hadn't been paying attention. Twirling his wand around in his hand the seventh year looked at the parchment before him. He opened his textbook and turned to the page which listed a bunch of random words. Indigeo was need in Latin apparently. And Novo was to change. Soo...could that work? Need change? As in they needed to change something? Yeah? Yeah? Legend thought it made sense. He quickly scribbled the two words down and leaned back. He had done enough.
