Wait. Stun Maleficent? HELL NO! She may be a kitty.. but she was a clever kitty. Reacihng up, Thea caught her wand and as she did so Maleficent turned to stare at her. Thea swallowed. Scary Maleficent.. 'Don't worry.. I'm not going to stun you!' That was very true. She was sitting on her desk quietly, jerking her tail backwards and forwards. 'Shaw, I'm not stunning my cat, she's fine!' Thea piped up. She had also heard Shaw say to some students that they could keep their cats.. so she was keeing Maleficent. Grin. |

Simon then listened and was in shock with what the Professor said next, he wanted to say that the whole thing was just cruel to the cat but he was still working back all the points he lost so he had to be on his best behaver, hopefully the cat would forgive him. Simon took out his wand and pointed it and the cat before saying. "Petrificus Totalus!!" Simon was glad when the cat fell over as stiff as a board hopefully he wouldn't have to put anymore spells on the poor cat. |

Maleficent also did not seem impressed. Standing up, she hissed at the older looking boy as she clambered onto Thea's knee instead of the desk. Thea shrugged. 'Sorry.. she's rude.' |

"Profe--SHAW!!" She still has trouble of calling the professor Shaw. Luckily, Janice still had some of the cat nibbles that she took in the corridors. She took them out and laid it in front of her cat. The cat became still, but as soon as the cat finishes it, it started to grawl for some more. "Petrificus Totalus!!!!!" It left Janice with no choice but to cast a Body-Bind Curse on it. |
Gwen got really scared when listening him talk. What? Are you crazy? Of course you are..., the young Ravenclaw thought. Ah, well, I have no choice but to do what he is saying. Hmph, at least I could use a less painful charm on my cat. Let's see- I have 2 options-using Petrificus Totalus or Impedimenta. After a few minutes, Gwen decided to try using Impedimenta. Not that it was much better for the animal, it was just a spell that no one had mentioned so far in this class. However, to make sure it was ok to use it, she asked: 'Um...Pr...Shaw? Can I use Impedimenta for my cat?' |
Sarah was horrified. So, you call this a class? she was flabbergasted at the numerous cats in the room. She didn't fancy animals, that too cats in particular. She detested cats. And there sat one in front of her. She looked at the Professor as her wand landed on her table. She picked it up and without a second thought casted the spell, "Petrificus Totalus!", loudly and confident on the purring cat. The cat stood still. She smiled at the little devil and raised her hand. "Professor, what do we do now?" |
Now what kind of people laugh when there is nothing funny? MENTAL people. Clearly, Shaw was one of them. And now he expected them to petrify the poor, frightened animals? True, the cats weren't particularly friendly with the students, but still, what they were supposed to do was WRONG. 'Shaw? Will it do if I make the cat fall asleep? Technically, it would be calm.' the Gryffindor asked, hoping desperately to hear 'Yes' as an answer. |
Ummm excuse me? He wanted them to put a spell on a poor little kitty? Sorry, but Ariella refused to harm any cat in any way. She watched, horrified, as the classroom petrified their own cats. No way was she doing anything like that. What was wrong with them?! She scratched her cat behind the ears and on the chin, hoping it would calm down. When she heard purring, she coaxed the cat to lie down. Thankfully, it found a comfortable position on its back. It closed its eyes and fell asleep. That was as far as she would go. No spells. |

She looked back up at Shaw once he got her attention. Fallon watched horrified as he stunned his cat...and just laughed about it. The man was insane! And cruel! ...and then he wanted them to stun there's?! No way was that going to happen. Then Fallon realized he said just to make them calm. Fallon smiled as her wand was returned to her. She looked at Artemis, who was now purring happily on the desk. She couldn't believe that the cat just needed a little love and attention to calm down. She looked at her wand and her cat again before pointing it at the furry creature. "Petrificus Totalus." She felt it was safer for the cat. |
Rachel watched horrified as Shaw stunned his cat and laughed, she knew that it was safe, but still, the poor innocent cat! Rachel felt calmer as she got back her wand. Although she still disliked her cat, she still didn't want the cat to be stunned, it looked so peaceful asleep, so she bent down and stroked it, it didn't scratch her this time, as it was asleep, but it woke up and bit her. owch! she said to herself. She smiled at the cat, and pointed her wand at it, "Petrificus Totalus." she said, the cat stopped moving and stayed perfectly still! "Sorry," she told it. |

It had been trying to escape just as she'd done this, and so the cat ended up being frozen with its arms and legs spread wide in a running position, and it's face like so: :whaa:. Again, Sierra smirked in amusement. |

And first they had to ensure it was still. Wasn't it still enough? He didn't want to risk blowing it up just yet. Catching his wand, he eyed it. Maybe he should stupefy it or something. Just in case? If it moved during transfiguring it, the poor cat might end up worse off. IF he suceeded in doing something of course. Which he probably wouldn't. "Er...stupefy?" he attempted. Maybe. |
Wiliam decided to name his kitten.. I am going to call you" Purrty" William said to the cat. Now William waits for Shaw's next instructions. |

... Quarantine section? QUARANTINE SECTION?! She wasn't bloody DISEASED! Ignoring the man's words, Iris turned away from him. Huffing, the head girl stomped back to her seat at the back of the class and put the cat on the table. She scratched behind his ear in an attempt to convince him that she was friendly. It seemed to work, because he sat up straight and started nuzzling her hand for more. She looked up as he started to talk to the class, glaring with shock and fury as he stupefi'd a cat and then STARTED LAUGHING. Like, Manic laughter. He was insane. She didn't want to stupefi the cat... it was mean. getting stunned hurt, and that was as a human. Or maybe Iris just had a really low pain tolerance... but either way. The cat might, too. Her cat was now walking round her table, purring loudly. As the wands were dispensed back to their owners, Iris reached up and grabbed hers. At the same time, the cat had noticed the quill in her ponytail and was trying to climb up Iris's shoulder to get it. "Oooh no, you don't." She muttered, grabbing the cat around the middle. Iris was GOOD at Transfiguration! She didn't NEED to have a motionless cat to transfigure him; she'd managed to successfully transfigure a live, MOVING chicken in her OWL and that was a year and a half ago. She could do this without acting like a manic idiot, without acting like Shaw. Scratching behind the cat's ears, she looked at it apologetically. This was mean. Holding her wand up to the cat, Iris shot a nasty glare out of the corner of her eye over to Shaw. "Stupefi." The Head Girl frowned pathetically as the cat froze up. He'd already been curled up, so at least he didn't have to fall over as the spell hit him... |

He was already looking for a way to escape, and she knew she'd need to do something soon.... but she wasn't stunning him cause that was cruel. Instead she silently cast immobulus on the feral before he moved from the crouch position he was in. |
"Merlin!" Brielle whispered to herself, her eyes growing larger at the sight of the poor cat Shaw had stunned. She wasn't so fond of cats, but the way the animal looked... she couldn't help but feel sorry for it. So they were transfiguring cats today. Wait. Cats? "Oh no..." she exclaimed. She had opinions about transfiguring animals. Wasn't it cruel really? "Uh, Pr--Shaw, the cats won't get hurt in any way, will they?" she asked, looking at the Professor. And about calming her cat, she knew there was no need for it. She had been sitting for a long time now, and the cat was still fast asleep. |
Okay so they were transfiguring their captured cats into something....after stunning them of course. Simon almost commented that they'd need their wands just in case the pseudo professor forgot that little fact. But the crazy man did indeed happen to remember it as the box elevated up into the air and dropped each of their wands out so they could take it back. Seeing as he was still holding the cat in place on the table, as gently yet firmly as he could with both hands, he looked to his cousin to do the honors. |

"Naaaaawww. Cat's fine. Just a little stunned." Shaw prodded the sleepy cat through it's cage. "Don't be cruel to yours neither." Quote:
"I don't speak the language. You should be in your section though. Maybe cover your face." Shaw demonstrated looping his shirt over his nose. Quote:

"Well alright. Suit yourself." Quote:

"Yup. Reckon that'n would work, too." Quote:
"Naaaww. Cats are fine. Don't worry. If one does get caught, I hear ya got yourself an animal expert on the grounds." Most of the class were progressing steadily, so Shaw proceeded. "Last class we touched on the topic of Fera Verto. If you remember, that was Latin, them words. What were they Latin for?" "Rest of you restrain your cats. Catch up now." Meanwhile, Shaw slid his cat out of its cage, cast, and turned his cat into a large, stylish cowboy hat. He put it straight on his bald head with a toothy grin to his class. |

'Ellooooo! XD Catching up.. Holding the cat gently, no matter how much ungentle she looked, Louisa put her on the table before her eyeing the poor creature with watery eyes. Louisa herself was accused of hurting her own cat this summer and was grounded for its sake and now she was asked to hurt this one, stunning or not it was hurting, she might as well stun the Professor for a change. Hmph. "Sorry." She mumbled moving her achieved wand skillfully and muttering the stupefy spell. The cat had been trying to jump off the table was stunned in an awkward position where her fore legs stretched down and her back ones pressed against the table. The cat's green gleaming eyes were deadly looking at the floor and Louisa just let out an exaggerated sigh. THERE! Happy? Moving on, "Fera Verto means something about monsters." She raised her hand in a bored way and refrained from spitting the words out. Not her fault the cat thing touched a hot nerve in her. |
"Well literally I believe fera verto means I transform wild beast", Chloe responded with her hand raised high. |
SPOILER!!: Shaw Eino fed another Bertie Bott's every flavor bean to his cat as he listened to Shaw. He was exceedingly happy to have been praised by The Man, and even happier to be put on Team Shaw. He didn't know what it meant, but it sounded exclusive and cool. He was also pleased to hear he would be awarded points, but if he had a chance to choose something else he would definitely ask for Shaw's "Fera translates into wild or savage and Verto translates into change or alter!" Eino said with his hand raised. Was that what Shaw had just done? Interestingly, the spell didn't specify what the target would become so Eino supposed it was up to the caster, in which case he wanted a hat, too. |
William raisws his hand. " Fera Verto is a Transfiguration spell that turns animals into Water Goblets" William told the professor. |

Neptune had scooted her desk over so she could sit RIGHT beside Legend. They were sharing a cat, see. Giggle. She found Legend more interesting than Shaw, so she watched him and the lounging. "Are you afraid to stun the kitty, Mr. Chosen?" Well? Was he? Funny that, a scared Gryffindor. She didn't mind doing it. Neptune tapped the kitty with her wand and it immobilized, still as a statue. ...as for Shaw's question? Other people were answering. |
