Rachel grabbed a cat, it was quite cute, but as soon as she thought that, it scrached her whole face, her arm and hand! She was bleeding slightly, but to her relief, did not cry, but felt really sore. Then, her cat rolled up in a ball and fell asleep, after it really hurt her too! |
Stomping back into the classroom, Iris glared at Shaw. Her hair was all a mess from her crawling and chasing after the cat, and her left hand - HER WAND HAND - was bleeding from where the cat had taken a big chunk out of her hand. In the journey back to the classroom, the cat seemed to have calmed down a little but he was still hissing and meowing a lot. "YOU. You're insane. Why in your right mind would you have CHILDREN chasing after cat-nip fed, feral cats?!" They could be INFECTED with ANYTHING! Walking to the front of the class, Iris held the cat close to her. She wasn't going to go chasing after him again. "I want my wand back. I want it back now. She looked at Shaw as if he'd just used an Unforgivable on her mother. (Which, she wouldn't put past him) "My hand is cut, and bleeding. It's really sore and stings. So give me my wand back so I can numb the pain before I can go to the Hospital wing." GLARE. "Please." She added, just for good measure. And if he wouldn't? ... Then she was dropping this cat and storming straight to the Headmasters office - bloody hand and all. Iris hated this teacher SO much. He seemed to find it amusing when the students were in danger and didn't seem to care much about their actual education and Iris DIDN'T like that. |
Sierra opened the door to the classroom, happy to see that this time it was empty of the cats. Save for the few that had already been captured, at least. "How I ended up with a cat dressed like a blasted Hufflepuff is beyond me," Sierra mumbled to herself, bee-lining for her desk, the costumed cat in hand. It had been the only one she'd been able to catch, though, so for now, it'd be her cat. It looked, though, just about as pleased as she was right now. Although, who could blame it? Sierra would be pouting, too, if someone had stuck her in Hufflepuff colors. |

William's kitten is playful as she found a ball of yarn and played with it. |
Nika walked into the class with her squirming cat hugged to her chest. Maybe if she named the thing it would be more restless?! So of course Nika had to end up with the super spaz cat. It was just her luck wasn't it. Shaw probably planned it out that way or something. She tried to fix her now messed up hair with one hand, but it didn't seem to work. Stupid crazy cats. After being attacked by many cats Nika felt like she was going to collapse. Did Shaw really think that was a good idea?! Nika looked around the room and saw that a lot of people were already there. Well did it actually take Sierra and her that long to catch a cat!? Maybe because they took time finding catnip and stuff, but still those cats were crazy and these people got done that quickly!? This world is cruel and insane... "Shaw I got the cat. Now what?" She wanted to get the cat away from her a soon as possible. The thing was practically jumping out of her arms. If it wasn't for Nika's tight hold on it the thing would just set itself free and join the other cats in the corridor again. |
With the cat purring in her arms, Heather felt better. Her hand still had that scratch mark the cat she caught made on her, but she didn't mind it-as long as the pain wasn't that big a bother to her. She went back inside the room and waited patiently for the next instruction. Atleast the cat she had was no longer frolicky. |

"Don't CALL me that! SHAW SHAW SHAW. I'm Shaw." Shaw hadn't this much trouble when he carved his name into the board. Maybe he needed to get the chainsaw back out. "This is Transfiguration class, aye?" Quote:
"You can keep it, sure. I don't care." Cats weren't anything to him. Quote:

"Don't call me.... that." Shaw pointed this one towards the other boy. Shaw KNEW that was contagious! The contagious could go stand in the corner and not spread their mess. Quote:
"You worry Shaw, boy. Careful with them." Quote:
"Think I'm what they call left-brained. That's what them there medical-y wizards tells me. You can go to see that there nurse if you need, but your wand is safe with the others for now." Merlin, the female type were so ODD. "Maybe go over there to the Quarantine section." Yeah, get that one away from the rest. Shaw pointed to the other students that were watery-eyed and snotty. Shaw clapped his hands together at the front of the room and tried to whistle for their attention. "HEY. Hey, now. Settle down, sit down, be still. Shaw 's talking now. Seems most of you are back now, some looking better than others. We'll move on to the next part: Prepping your cat for transfiguration." Shaw pulled a caged cat from behind his desk, a particularly large one he'd found roaming about. "Stupefy," the big cat keeled over and Shaw laughed out loud. He laughed and laughed. "I chose to stupefy mine, see? You'll need to calm yours in whatever way you choose before we can perform transfiguration. Transfiguring moving objects is harder than stationary ones so at yours ages you'll need to make them there cats be still. Don't care how you do it, just don't kill them there boogers." He had one more laugh at the stunned cat before raising his wand again to distribute everyone's wands back to them. The box rose in the air and gently rained down wands to their proper owners. |
NO! There was NO WAY that Lexi was going to stun Sir Kitty. It was NOT going to happen. What a LUNATIC! She was SOOOOOO going to tattle. This was animal cruelty and she wasn't going to stand for it. Placing Sir Kitty on her desktop she scratched behind his ears and made kissy faces at him. Mhm. He was HER kitty now. And Neptune's... but mostly hers since SHE had caught it while Tuney stood there doing nothing. FEH. Grabbing her wand as it fell from the SKY she tucked it back into her holster. She would not be performing BRUTAL magic on an ickle kitty. Not today or any other day for that matter. |

She could keep the cute and fluffy thing! Err... the cat. But then... they were going to transfigure the cats? Uhh... it wouldn't hurt them, riiiight? Helena looked at the purring cat that had curled on her lap. Now that she could keep it, she'll have to give it a name. But after the whole transfigurating thing. When she looked back at Shaw, he... he just... USED STUPEFY ON THAT CAT! :whaa: THEMANWASTOTALLYINSANE. She quickly took her cat in her arms, holding it like it was her precious baby. And she wanted to keep it away from THAT MAN. How could he do that?! Helena had her wand back, but she didn't use it, of course. The still nameless cat was purring in her arms. SEE, Shaw?! All you had to do was stroke the cat! |
Most of the students seemed to have returned to the classroom, although he could still people outside. Regardless, class was moving on, so Eino ceased to pet his cat and jotted down a few notes. He listened attentively to Shaw's instructions and watched as he stupefied his own cat. After receiving his wand, he took a good look at his cat, who didn't seem to have a single clue of what was going on. "Okay..." He said in preparation, as he shook off his nerves. He picked up the cat and placed his on top of the table, trying to make the cat sit down, but it wasn't working. He needed to get the cat still just so he wouldn't end up missing it and hitting something or someone other than the cat. Eino took a single Bertie Bott honey flavored bean and placed it on the table. As the cat was sniffing it, Eino pointed his wand at its paws and said the incantation. "Lentesco!" Pale blue light shot from Eino's wand and successfully hit the target. The cat reached for its honey bean, ate it, and when it tried to move it couldn't. Its paws had been glued to the table. |
Nika opened her mouth out of shock. WHAT!? Did he just stupefy that cat!? She let out a loud whimper as she looked at Shaw with wide eyes. He hurt the cat! That's not right!! Nika was not going to stupefy her cat. No. No she won't do it. But how else was she supposed to calm it!? Nika was not going to use cruel magic on her cat. Even if the cat was about to jump out of her arms, she wouldn't do it. No. That was cruelty. Shaw should go to jail for that! "Isn't that considered animal cruelty Shaw?" She asked looking at the poor little cat. Nika just pet hers and tried rubbing it's stomach. Even if it scratched her some more there can't be too much more harm done right? Nika already looked like she wrestled a bear. Not much worse could happen. |
Penny caught her wand out of the air and looked at her cat, who seemed quiet enough for the now...but just minutes ago he was scratching and biting her.. Thinking about what Shaw did, she decided she didn't want to stun him... then thinking about what other spells would subdue the kitty without knocking him out - then it came to her...Pointing her wand at the cat, she spoke the incantation 'Petrificus Totalus', the cat immediately stiffened, but was still looking at her and unharmed.. Looking up at Shaw, Penny asked "What happens next Shaw?" |
Wait what? Legend had to stun the cat? He signed and leaned back in the chair. Nope. He would not. He already CAUGHT the cat. Neptune could stun it. It was too much work for him, AND he didn't even see wha Shaw was on about. Crazy dude. |
Salander re-entered the classroom, the little bald kitty tucked comfortably into a scarf he conjured and chose a seat closest to the window. Yeah he's allergies were still acting up and there is no way he will want to be down wind will all that fur and dander and.. *shudder* He lay the little bundle on his desk and turned his attention back to Shaw. Dang did he just smack that kitty with a spell? His eyes falls on the bald, mutant looking creature before him as it eyed him back, meowing. It looked so pathetic the Slytherin lad didnt have the heart to do it. If only the cat made it hell for him to capture, instead it came to him and seemed to have wanted to share the warmth that his robes has offered. Catching his wand in his hand he looked at the little baldy and cast a sticking charm onto the scarf. Well heck the cat was already snugged nicely within. Hopefully it doesnt change its mind and decide to fight its way out of the comfortable warmth of the fabric. |
Were Carr's face not completely swollen, she would have looked at Shaw with extreme confusion. "Pw--Uh, Shaw?" she asks "S'ould... I tage de gat wiv me? To da gornah?" |

"What he doing?" he stun the cat easilly without second thought, "How cruel" Raven took his wand, why of earth they doing, catching cat the hard ways, if they allowed to stupefy the creature, this Shaw is surething a trigger happy wizard. What Raven may do now, is he going to stupefy the cat, definitely NO. Raven must think of something best suited him, he look at the cat it has no idea what will going to happen, Now Raven don't be stupid you don't need to stun the cat but you can bind it, Raven wand hand is moving then he say the incantation "Locomotor Mortis", and the cat binded by invisible rope, the no clues cat stop moving, "better than stunning, I think". "So, Shaw what next" Raven wait for another... |
REALLY??? So this was the next part of the activity. After trying to get those cat to actually come to them, they were just going to stupefy them. WHy didn't he just let them use their wands in the first place and stupefy a cat so that it could have been less time. Seriously, Shaw has a different way of thinking things. He took out his wand and looked at a cat. Jonathan was not much of an animal lover but he doesn't want to hurt the cat in any way. He was ready to stupefy it but as he glanced around people didn't like much the idea, still they all stunned their cats. Very well then, "'Petrificus Totalus" he said out loud, pointing the wand onto the cat. Now, it turned solid and still. Poor thing. He used the 'Petrificus Totalus' instead of a 'Stupefy' because Shaw told them to use any spell as long as they can get it not to move. So what happens next? Dissect it? Pfffsssshhh... |
Transfiguring moving objects is harder than stationary ones... Kurumi looked at the beast she had dragged through the corridor that she couldn't possibly lift up to her table. She stood there looking at the cat, who could hardly roll over onto its back let alone run away. Wand back in her hands, Kurumi found herself returning it to its holster and putting it back in her robes instead of waving it at the cat. She reached into her pockets and pulled out the rest of the tuna fish cookies and laid them on her robe. The cat slooooooowly reached his head forward and began gnawing on them. Yep...he was sedated alright. |
Selina looked at the cat who seemed very bored in front of her and sighed. How was she even supposed to knock out the cat if it was too bored to even care that what Selina did? Part of her just wanted to hit the cat over the head with something soft to knock it out... but that was cruel and out of the question. Finally she settled on her mode of getting the cat to fall "asleep". She drew her wand that always felt warm in her grasp and pointed it at the cat, "Petrificus Totalus!" The cat froze up and fell onto its side. Selina smirked and put her wand back in its holster. Turning to her side she saw Kurumi with cookies for her cat... she should have seen that coming. |

She reached for her wand that was given back to her, but was generally disapproving to perform a stunning spell on a live cat. When Heather casts spells, things might just turn ugly. "B-but...m-mine's already calm S-Shaw..." Heather, really nervous of Shaw because he was one to be nervous about when around, softly said, looking at the cat in her arms, purring and almost as if taking a nap. she did feel a little guilty at screaming and shaking the cat, but now, it's acting as if it really likes her. this put a smile on her face. Maybe she can ask to keep it-if the cat doesn't go about scratching her again-her hand still had that fresh scratch mark the cat made. She opted to just cover it with her handkerchief and tend to it later when class is over. It's just a scratch, right? Nothing big. "C-can i name it?" she asked, putting a sweet smile on her face. |
Rose noticed he hadn't said she couldn't keep her! 'Ha! You're mine now! I'm gonna call you Maxine! Max for short!'. The cat purred. 'Well, Shaw, never call him Professor or Sir, Max, says that I have to do something to keep you still! I don't wanna hurt you, so if you just stay still, I won't have to! Understood?'. Maxine meowed in reply. 'Good!' Rose grinned as she cuddled her cat. |
