Everyone seemed to be getting the hang of the spell, so Shaw figured his work was done for the day. "How about we call it a day? Shaw's pretty tired and the Quarantined Section is giving me a good case of the paranoias. Keep practicing and you'll be as good as me and right as rain with this spell."

Shaw scribbled out homework on the board:

List 5 scenarios that being a master of Fera Verto would be useful, and why you think it'd be useful.

Savannah still looked doubtful, but nodded anyways. She gave the wand another swish and said loudly and clearly: "FERA VERTO!" Savannah looked at the cat closely. Now the cat is not the hat. THE CAT'S HEAD IS THE HAT! Savannah doesn't want to look below that hat, or wanna touch it.

Homework? Bleahhh...

Savannah copied the homework down on her parchment. Bleah...homework. "When will the homework be due??" Savvy asked.

Penny sat in her seat, in total confusion..... her grandma used to say 'the lights are on but nobodies home' ---- this summed up Shaw to a 'T') for he had completely ignored her twice during the lesson..... had she done something wrong???

Scribbling down the homework on her parchment, pushing her stuff into the backpack and left the room....shooting another look at Shaw.

If she was going to attend his lessons in future - she decided that maybe from now on she would call him Professor - at least then she might get a reaction..... any reaction would do !!!!!

Wait...WHAT?!

SHE HAD KILLED HER CAT?! All she had done was practice the incantation! Kurumi's head snapped around to look at Buta and saw that he was still on his side snoring up a storm.

Phew. She hadn't killed him....yet...

She needed to stop thinking in such negatives.

"Hey now. You one there. We gotta problem?" Them ones Shaw really worried about.

Kurumi's slightly watery eyes looked at the fluff on the table that she had set back down and her eyes flicked towards Shaw when he spoke. You two? Who was he...oh...

Kurumi smiled weakly at Sierra. "Maybe we should practice together sometime?" she offered.

Kurumi prepared herself for the worst...

Everyone seemed to be getting the hang of the spell, so Shaw figured his work was done for the day. "How about we call it a day? Kurumi thought she heard someone speaking, but all sound was muffled from the giant hat that was on her head. Kurumi turned around and, not being able to see, smacked her knee right into the end of one of the tables and began hopping around on one foot as the hat sloshed back and forth on her head. As she did, the hat eventually found its way onto the floor and Kurumi had to blink a few times as her eyes adjusted to the light.

When her eyes adjusted, she noticed that Shaw was looking at her with a smile on his face - which was rather frightening - but she felt a little better when she heard that points. Phew. She bowed her head slightly in gratitude although she really wasn't sure what fuhne meant.

Next she found herself cocking her head to the side when he referred to himself as Shaw. And what was he talking about the Quarantined Section? Was this in reference to the cats?! HAD ALL THESE CATS BEEN QUARANTINED FOR SOMETHING?! "Quarantined...?" Kurumi asked as she held the giant hat in her hands. She really didn't like the sound of that.

WAS HE SERIOUS?!

But Helena didn't NEED a stupid HAT! She needed her Ezra back! But you know what? She's not going to ask him to turn Ezra back. She'll do it herself, the moment she gets back to the common room or the library or a place with books. Yup, Ezra will be back. She only hoped he won't get hungry or something. But she'll be more than happy if Ezra could eat THAT INSANE MAN OVER THERE!

The girl didn't even bother to write down the homework. She just wanted to get out of there. Hmph.

Raven get his things, rush into the door, "till next Shaw" he said, why he is very comfortable calling the professor in the first name. then run, it's a long torture class, at most for the animals here.

Aiden scribbles down the homework on a piece of parchment before packing her stuffs. She hopes she would get the answers this time. Slinging her bag on her shoulder, Aiden walks towards the exit. "Goodbye, Shaw," she said with a low voice.

Kurumi immediately felt sick to her stomach when Sierra spoke. It wouldn’t feel good!? Kurumi suddenly lost all desire to cast the spell on Buta and she flopped back in her seat while the cat attempted to roll over onto its side. Being too fat, the cat merely flailed its paws in the air and its bellow wiggled like a bowl of jelly.

Biting her lower lip and looking like a small puppy that had just been kicked, she turned her gaze towards Sierra when she offered to transfigure Buta. “T-T-Thank you for the offer…b-b-but I really should do my own work,” she mumbled as she breathed in and out heavily. She would just have to be EXTRA careful with the spell so as not to hurt the fat cat.

Just as Kurumi was about to test her luck, Kurumi heard a POOF sound and the next thing she knew Sierra’s cat had vanished.

Or so she thought.

Squeaking LOUDLY, Kurumi saw the white cotton ball remains of what she assumed had been the cat. In her panic, she failed to see a hat transfigured on the table by Sierra and began flailing her arms around like a windmill before crouching on the ground beside Buta. “I-I-I promise I won’t turn you into a cotton ball,” she whimpered as she scratched the feline behind the ears.

She shot a quick glance back towards Sierra and felt all the color in her face wash away. She was going to faint…Sierra had KILLED a cat! The assignment was to turn it into a HAT not KILL it!

Standing up again, Kurumi picked up the ball of fur and wibbled some more. “M-May you rest in peace,” she said as she petted, yes petted, the fur. She would give the cat a proper burial after class.

Kurumi then looked back at Buta and continued to chew on her bottom lip. She was NOT going to turn him into a cotton ball. She wasn't even sure that he COULD turn into something that small to be honest.

Taking out her wand now, Kurumi pointed it at the cat - who was still trying to roll onto its side - and waved her wand. "Fera verto," she whimpered as an oddly colored light errupted from her wand and wrapped itself around the cat. Kurumi hear a similar popping noise and what lay before her was a melted version of what resembled a graduation cap with Buta's tail being the tassle.

MERLIN! SHE HAD MELTED THE CAT! :whaa:

Sierra smirked to herself. She'd suddenly gotten the feeling that she'd upset Kurumi, and that, of course, just made Sierra's day. She shrugged when Kurumi said she should do her own work. It didn't really matter to Sierra anyway. She'd just wanted to transfigure Kurumi's hat because she knew it'd upset the girl. Seeing that she'd already succeeded in upsetting her, there really wasn't any need to help the girl.

...and only a Gryffindor would want to do their own work. If someone had volunteered to do Sierra's work for her, she'd just sit back and let them have at it.

Sierra threw her head back and released an soft, evil sounding laugh as Kurumi wished for the piece of fur to rest in peace. Oh, this was classic. Epic, really. She'd had her fun, and so Sierra turned her attention elsewhere as Dictionary Eater finished her work.

...what?!

Who was he to tell her she'd be better off attempting another subject? She glared at him, one of her most intense, meaningful glares. She'd done quite well in Transfiguration last year--when they were taught by a real professor and not some idiotic chainsaw master.

Her head turned sharply toward Hollingberry when the girl dared to suggest they take Chainsaw Idiot up on his offer. Did the girl actually think Sierra wanted to do more work? With her, nonetheless? She started to say just as much, but then a thought occurred to her.

Treyen hung out with Kurumi, or so he'd said in the lab. He'd also said they sometimes got together and discussed numbers, for whatever pathetic reason. The wheels in her head started turning. A mischievous-looking smile slowly appeared on her face. "Deal, Lion Girl," she said, and then she leaned a little ways over her desk, same mischievous smile on her face, and added, "...see you in the dungeons." She packed up her belongings then added, "You...are fine meeting up with me there, right?" You know, on my turf.

...who cared what Hollingberry's answer was, though. She could get in touch with Sierra if she really wanted the extra Charms work. Shaw was dismissing the class, and so all that mattered at the moment was leaving. Sierra quickly copied down the homework assignment and then stuffed everything into her bag. When she was all packed up, she raised her wand toward the hat. "Finite!" she said, and then she watched as the white cat in Hufflepuff clothes dashed away.

Her own personal cat was in here somewhere, but Sierra guessed Hissy Fit would find her own way back to the dungeons sometime later. If she was in a poor condition, then somebody would pay. Without another word or glance to anyone, Sierra headed for the door and out the room.

See? It wasn't bad at all. Heather grinned at Shaw and watched as he went about with everyone else's concerns. She liked her cat-hat. Then she thought...how can she change Seraphina back into a cat? As much as she liked the hat, she wants to keep the cat...what was that spell again?

Shaw scribbled out homework on the board:

and then there was homework. Heather did not complain; she liked homeworks at some point. They seemed fun to do. But she still wanted her cat.

"Uhm...S-Shaw..." she trembled a bit. "H-how do i r-reverse the spell? I want to k-keep the hat...NO! i mean....t-the Cat. N-not the hat..." She blushed a bit and bit her lip. She didn't know the reverse spell for this....and quarantined section? What does he mean by that? "Quarantined section?" she asked, leaning her head to her left in a curious little girl manner.

'How am I supposed to change the kitty back to a hat,' thought Evie slightly worried.
"I am really sorry kitty, Shaw didn't tell us how to change you back, please don't be mad" whispered Evie pleadingly to the beret on her desk.
She looked up at the board and scribbled down the homework they had been set. 'Maybe if I leave it on my desk after class, Shaw will see it before he leaves and change it back..... hmmm yes, thats what i'll do.' She thought to herself.
Evie put her piece of parchment into her bag and waited till they were dismissed. "Quarantined section?"she asked slightly confused.

This is a fast class, Janice thought. And a quick homework as well.
Janice quickly scribbled her homework down on a piece of scrap-parchment (scrap-paper, scrap-parchment, get it? No? Oh well.).
"Bye-Shaw!" She still has trouble calling him 'Shaw', not 'Professor', and while saying it she stepped out of the classroom.
