He was the one always do it to her and she felt happy knowing that she could return the favor. No, perhaps happy wasn't the right word, but it made her feel like she had drank some of that bubbly drink from that one movie with the boy who inherits a chocolate factory. She felt as though she were going to float away.
This feeling only intensified when Treyen took one of the red flowers from the bouquet and entwined it into her side pony-tail. "Thank you," she managed to squeak out before her heart beat even faster and, despite her thinking about ice, her hair began turning a dusty rose pink. She squinted her eyes shut to try and control the feelings.
When she opened her eyes, she saw that he had taken a few steps away to summon some chair. Oh? How very thoughtful of him. She was a bit tired from being in the greenhouses all morning squatting for long periods of time as she replanted and picked flowers.
"O-O-Okay..." she whispered noticing an obvious change in his tone that made her suddenly feel uneasy. She took a step forward and heard the crumpling of something that sounded like parchment under her feet. Oh dear, she must have dropped it from her pockets, she had been taking notes in the greenhouses after all, so she bent down to pick it up when she saw that it clearly wasn't one of her own and her eyes almost immediately glassed over and the pink color that had been brightening in her hair suddenly went out just like when someone blows out a flame.
He had both smiled and regretted saying what he did, mainly because he noticed what it did to Kurumi, and he knew that wasn't supposed to happen. His own reasoning told him that it was obvious for him to think so, but of course, Kurumi had no idea.
The boy only nodded at her thanks, and then watched as she took a seat. He followed after her, though.
Just when he was about to begin, something made the most unfortunate appearance. He didn't know what that parchment said, but he knew that parchment very well. He had a knack for spotting those Aparecium papers. Treyen hadn't been expecting Kurumi's change of self at reading it, though. Either it was something really, really awful, or about her. Again.
"What's wrong?" he sure didn't want to make anything worse, so, he sort of got closer as to read what it said. It only took one glance at his name written in there to make him take the parchment away from Kurumi so he could read it better.
All smiles gone.
Even the whole room seemed to disappear as he focused on reading all the lies that piece of paper was spreading. Like, around the school, no? OH. GILDEROY. His whole face was suddenly white. The only thing in the parchment that was actually TRUE, according to the whole Wizarding Community, was what hurt him. IMMENSELY. That's what his own family thought about the man, yet he, Treyen Lockhart, was the only one that ever wondered what had made him do what he did. It wasn't just for the fame, there had to be something else. At least Ellie knew what he thought of his family, though. Now, however, he was starting to believe that he truly resembled Gilderoy in the worst way imaginable.
He didn't care for the Kurumi part, because that was almost a lie. Nor for the Quidditch part, because he could fly. And very well, thank you. But...Gilderoy!? He had no part in this. That was rather mean.
One of his hands was covering his face as he looked down, the other one was still holding the parchment. "Oh, no." Yeah, that summed things up.
It took him long enough to remember that Kurumi was still there, and that he NEEDED to explain things to her, it was imperative that he did. Especially now. So, he tried to compose himself for her, and shifted a little in his seat, his eyes were still NOT on her, he just couldn't face her after this. "I--I think I should start by saying that this isn't true," well, he was no incubus, for starters, "I mean...," he looked at her and didn't know what else to say, the words surrounding Gilderoy's name were still in his head.
He needed to stand, he couldn't remain in this sitting position for too long. Not after this. So, he stood and shook his head for a moment, "Aparecium is never right, except perhaps a little bit about the Gilderoy part, but I don't really believe that," he started to say, as he paced around the room, "Not in that way," it was best if he was honest, right? "But the part about you...," he looked her way, "...I don't...," words failed him, "...I don't know how to say this."
That was entirely and completely one hundred percent true.
He figured it out, though, and soon placed his chair in front of her and resumed his seat again. "I don't know if you do like me or not, as more than a friend, I mean," so much for words failing him, no? "I'd be completely honored if you did, because you're such an amazing girl. I'm sure every boy is after you," every boy but him, and Conan, and Chandler, and Salander, and Josh...yeah, well, never mind, so, not every boy, but the point he was trying to make was still valid, "And with great reason. But, just let me finish," she'd better not interrupt him until he was done, it was the only way he could finish, really, "I'd be completely relieved if you didn't like me, though, because I couldn't return those feelings," this was the nicest way he thought of letting her know, "And I'd hate to hurt you, in any way."
"Aparecium may be right about something regarding Ellie, since I do like her, in a more-than-friends kind of way." So, Kurumi understood, right? Why he couldn't return her feelings. Because his own feelings were too attached to Eliana Stone.

"Aparecium may be right about something regarding Ellie, since I do like her, in a more-than-friends kind of way." So, Kurumi understood, right? Why he couldn't return her feelings. Because his own feelings were too attached to Eliana Stone.
Kurumi’s eyes widened to the point where they most likely resembled two large purple full moons as she looked at the parchment. She was screaming at herself to stop reading it, for each word stabbed her like a shard of ice that pierced into every fiber of her being. Okay, so maybe that was being a little too dramatic, but the world around the small third year seemed to be both closing in and crumbling at the same time.
It was all happening again. And a flood of emotions came rushing back to her like a tsunami that threatened to wash her away.
Kurumi blinked through the tears that were forming in her violet eyes and she just barely heard Treyen’s exasperated ‘Oh, no’ before she felt her knees lock and she felt as though she were about to collapse. But the, her eyes glanced over at Treyen who looked just as sick to his stomach as she felt. The question though was…why? Was he ashamed that he had been caught with his hand in the cookie jar so to speak? Or was there something else?
Kurumi forced herself to look away from him and to the parchment in her hands, squeaking loudly when she read such hurtful things as coward, cheat, and liar…that were then all pinpointed to a Mr. Gilderoy Lockhart who Kurumi owned a few books including Marauding with Monsters and The Travel Trilogy. Sure, the man had gone down in history as not being the most trustworthy of wizards, a trait Kurumi despised, but even she had to admire his Memory Charm work. She looked back at Treyen when he spoke again. “T-Treyen….” she whispered feeling very insecure at the moment. “Y-You know that I don’t believe in stereotyping people..and you aren’t anything like…”
But her words were cut off when Treyen confirmed that some of the things written were true and she felt her stomach tie in knots when he was once again at a loss for words – but not in a good way. The air between them was suffocating and she felt like a fish that had been throw onto the deck of a ship in the beating sun as she waiting for Treyen to speak again.
Yet…she already knew what he was going to say before he even did…but that didn’t make hearing it any harder.
She felt faint and her hands searched for any part of the chair that Treyen had summoned. The back, the arms, the legs, it didn’t matter as long as it would help her stand.
He would rather she didn’t like him…
It didn’t matter to her that perhaps other boys were interested in her, not that she would know if they were or not considering how insanely dense she was when it came to this stuff. She still believed that the stork delivered babies in soft fluffy towels after all. The one that DID matter to her was the one who would be thankful if she didn’t have feelings for him. That, itself, made the hole in her heart that had FINALLY begun to heal after Adam left was ripped open.
He didn’t want to hurt her? Well, too bad Treyen Lockhart…you have.
Kurumi felt herself slipping off the chair she was leaning on, and her hair was most certainly turning a graying-blue color now. She couldn’t look at him and if she did, she would only cry. Instead, she kept her gaze at the ground – somewhere around his shoe just to make sure that he was still there.
All the handholding, soft kisses on the cheek, comforting embraces, heart-to-heart conversations that had meant the world to her…had they really meant nothing to him?
“…oh…” she said after a few long moments of silence. She suddenly felt the urge to revert back to Japanese to express what all she wanted to say, but that wouldn’t do any good. Japan…maybe she had been better off there. Sure, she had gained so much coming here. Her first friendships and people, well, people like Treyen who were able to show her the value of her existence.
However, she also experienced the worst sort of pain – pain that was the worst because it wasn’t felt by the body, but by the heart and the spirit.
“Can’t…or you won’t? ” she asked in a soft whisper, not even realizing that she had. One implied that he wanted to, but wasn't allowed...that he had no choice...the other, well, it was different...
Her hands flew to her mouth, ashamed that she had said something so direct to him. It wasn’t fair and she wasn’t the sort of person that should beg. She had done so with Adam, begged him to reconsider his choices, and that had only hurt her more in the end.
Now, she found her resolve at its breaking point and tears began slowly trickling down her face and she tried to hide whatever part of her porcelain features were showing with her now grey-blue bangs.

Right. He knew she wasn't the one for stereotypes. Probably one thing she loved about her, though, because Treyen tended to stereotype people from time to time. So far, almost all Slytherins had proved him right. Except Sierra, and Fee, and, yeah, let's throw Salander into the mix.
But this wasn't something to focus on at the moment. His thoughts didn't linger on that for long, not after taking notice of how Kurumi was reacting to what he'd said. And he got more worried by the second, because she didn't look like she could remain seated for longer, and it was all his fault. He was completely hating this. Her actions, or in this case reactions, spoke louder than words. She liked him. And Treyen's chest felt as if it had been wounded by an arrow. At least that's what he supposed something similar must feel like, because he was starting to have problems with keeping an even breathing pattern. He'd stopped breathing several times as he waited for Kurumi to utter one word, he only needed to hear one single word, as to make sure he didn't completely break her.
His eyes flickered from her hands, to her face, and back to her hands (because she seemed to be putting great pressure on her delicate hands), her hair as it changed colors to one he's never seen before...and her eyes. Her beautiful violet eyes that weren't looking back.
Right there, Treyen wished that he could like her back, but even after reading the Gilderoy bit on Aparecium he knew that she deserved better. Ellie deserved better too. Maybe even Lola.
He wanted to hold her, and tell her that it'll all be alright, that she'll soon like someone else, but he was afraid to do so. He'd break her even more if he did, he was sure of that. He felt completely frustrated and useless, because he'd said that he didn't want to hurt her, and here he was, doing the opposite of what he'd said, with very little he could do to make it all better.
Frustrated. Yes.
Then he froze at the sound of the softest voice ever and the question it carried.
Kurumi...Kurumi did like him, didn't she? Lexi had been right all along. The worst part of it...he didn't know the answer to that.
His eyes were still on the girl breaking to pieces in front of him, and he didn't know what to do or say to put some pieces together. He so desperately wanted to. Yet he knew that what he said didn't matter, because it wasn't going to be something that Kurumi wanted to hear.
Treyen was selfish enough to realize how much he was going to miss her, and not the Arithmancy part of their friendship, because they'd been friends long before numbers came along...and truth be told, he could care less about Arithmancy at this moment. Sorry, Hadley, but it was true. He was going to miss her, the cheerful girl that always managed to make him smile, and blush. The one that may need him the most, but the same one he couldn't help right now. The only one he'd managed to make her cry when they met, and was succeeding at doing so again.
The one that was broken at this precise moment thanks to him.
Panic. He caught the sight of tears on her face and he panicked. He was having even more trouble breathing, and he didn't know what to do to make her tears stop. He still hadn't answered her question.
She deserved an answer, and he could only speak the truth. "I can't say it's because I "won't", because the future isn't set in stone," he said, in a soft tone, "And I can't say it's because I "can't", because I'm not being forced against it," his eyes somehow got watery, but he was not crying, and he wouldn't cry. "But...," he started to say, as he fought the urge to take her hand, "...my heart is set on someone else, and I can't fight those feelings," this is when it hit him. If Ellie hadn't liked him back, then he'd feel...probably how Kurumi was feeling right now, and he swallowed back some tears. "I do like you, but as a great friend, maybe even a sister, just not the way you wish," Treyen hoped he'd answered her question with that. And he had to be completely honest with her, right?
"I don't think you should be crying," because he never knew what to do when someone cried, and he simply HATED to see her cry, "You deserve better anyway," yes, he voiced out his own thoughts.

"I don't think you should be crying," because he never knew what to do when someone cried, and he simply HATED to see her cry, "You deserve better anyway," yes, he voiced out his own thoughts.
Kurumi’s hands clenched into tight fists at her side as she stood there in silence waiting for Treyen to speak. The silence was maddening and Kurumi wished so much that she could take a peek into his head and see what all he was thinking – for better or worse. Just standing there looking and feeling like a cruppy that had been kicked and then trampled by a herd of hippogriffs was only making her feel lightheaded and like she would collapse.
She swallowed, HARD, and then tightened the fists that were clenched tightly at her waist and continued to wait for him to answer as a million and one things rushed through her head.
WHAT was she doing? Of course someone like Treyen wouldn’t be interested in someone like her. Someone who lacked confidence and had the backbone that was closer to the consistence of the bread pudding found at dinner in the Great Hall. Treyen was, in a sense, everything she wished that she could be. He was confident and kind. He always seemed to know the right things to say to her to cheer her up and make her feel better about herself – save for this moment. Most importantly, he accepted her for who she was and hated it whenever she tried to hide her metamorphagus abilities.
That was something that not even Adam did.
With Adam, her and he had come up with a code to signal when the changes to her hair color were taking place so that she could hide. Even if he hadn’t meant it as such, it had become a signal to Kurumi that she was right in being ashamed of it. It was right to her to hide. Of course, Lexi had told Kurumi that she was silly for thinking such things, but it had been Treyen who had made her believe it.
Still lost in thought, Kurumi hardly heard him when he spoke again. The words stung, there was no denying it, but a small glimmer of something inside her was thankful for his honesty.
See Treyen, you are nothing like what that article says you are. He was here now, with her, talking with her about all this and not running away. That in itself was enough to make a small smile tickle the edges of her lips.
Her hair, although it was still grayish-blue, and stopped turning and remained as it was like a heavy fog resting on her head.
Not as you wish… those words stung the most and a small whimper escaped her lips and her head hung even lower – her bangs now brushed to the side showing all the shattered pain in her violet eyes.
“A-A-And I can’t fight mine,” she said finally looking up and directly into his eyes a she resisted the urge to blink or look away. Despite the tears streaming down her face, she needed to be strong. Her hand moved to softly touch the red flower tucked neatly into her hair. Treyen didn’t see her that way…which made all the memories of the time they had spent together hurt more because she had honestly believed with all her heart that he had. It didn’t matter what he said after he had said ‘I like you.’ To Kurumi, that meant everything. That alone, was enough for her for now.
Minus one thing.
“I like you Treyen Lockhart. I like you a lot.” She whimpered a bit and shuffled her feet as she tried to figure out what to do next. She half sobbed half laughed at his comment about not crying. No, she really should be crying. Her heart was breaking and holding on this in would only hurt her more. You never gained anything by loving, but you could lost everything but holding back. So she was going to cry. “And you are wrong about that…there is no one else like you Treyen…remember that…”
Now the tears were really flowing and her hands went to her face, covering it, and she melting to the floor and tried to muffle her sobs a bit. Why did this hurt so much?

Now the tears were really flowing and her hands went to her face, covering it, and she melting to the floor and tried to muffle her sobs a bit. Why did this hurt so much?
He noticed. He noticed the pressure she was putting in her delicate hands again. All he wanted was hold them so they wouldn't hurt later, because they will be hurting if she kept on doing that.
It was rather obvious that he didn't know exactly how she was feeling, but since he's never seen Kurumi remotely close to this, he figured that he'd hurt her way too much. If Aparecium had never showed up, then he would've settled with Kurumi finding out any other way, but now that Aparecium had happened, he was just glad he could explain things to her. It would've been worse otherwise, he was sure of that.
Aparecium. Again. Would Ellie be getting one of those pieces of parchment as well? Will she believe it? He'll probably have a lot of explaining to do soon, no?
Treyen thought he'd seen the littlest sign of a smile on her face, but that must be his watering eyes playing tricks on him.
However true it was that he wished for her violet eyes to be on him, he now regretted wishing that, because once they were on him, he broke. Kurumi was in pain. Thanks to him. And he was only getting a glimpse of that little pain by looking into her eyes. She must be far worse than that.
Once she spoke, Treyen frowned, he couldn't reply to her words, because he knew just how difficult that was, he'd seemed to be fighting those feelings last term and he failed at doing so. Perhaps it would be different with Kurumi, she could be stronger than him, but at this moment he doubted that such words will make sense to her. "I'm sorry, Kurumi," he said, shaking his head. Her time this school year would've been better if he didn't exist in her life, right? That was something he could do...disappear from her sight? Will it help her?
Kurumi finally said that she liked him, and it hurt even more that he wouldn't be saying it right back at her now. He looked down, away from her eyes. She said something else, and he nodded, "You're right, there are better boys out there that actually deserve the amazing girl you are," the one he hoped to see back to her old self before the school year ended.
Forget it.
He couldn't do this anymore. He was RIGHT THERE. He knew what he'd done to Kurumi. He couldn't just sit there and watch her go to pieces without doing anything. Yet he knew it was wrong for him to even touch her hand, but she wouldn't think any of it now that she knew he didn't like her, correct?
That's why Treyen decided to place his arms around her into a hug, he just couldn't let her fall like that and do nothing. I'm so sorry, Kurumi," he whispered, and he truly was, "If there was anything I could do...," to make her feel better, to make her...forget...about...him...NO, Lockhart, NO Memory Charms. "I've meant everything I've said before." He decided to let her know that, just in case she thought he'd been playing all along.
Now, there were two things that could happen.
One, Kurumi will accept his hug...or two, she'll rush out of the room wanting to never see him again.
I hope this is the right room. :whaa: <-- wish that smilie showed up. XD

Fame. Recognition. Weren't those at least two of the words they'd been told? After Lola Jones, the loudest girl on the face of the Earth, had proclaimed they needed to head here, Sierra had left the common room straight away. If this ended up being the wrong place, she was totally blaming Lola for the misdirection.
She pushed open the door and stepped inside, half expecting to see Iris, Evan, and Aaron just standing there. No. No one at all (OOC: I was told Treyen and Kurumi being here was in a different timeline). She peered around the empty room. She remembered being in here at least once before. Hadley had taken them here, and she and Alex had seen plaques with their sister and father's name on it.
Sierra wanted a plaque with her own name on it, too...
She edged against a wall and waited for someone else to come in.

Macy bounded into the trophy room, finding another girl in her house. Well, she supposed she was getting at the right idea then, at least. She wasn't alone now was she? Though she was still pretty mad that the clue hadn't led them to the kitchens
"Suppose I'm not crazy then, if you're here too," she said to the girl, giving a half smile. What was her name again? Er... Sasha? No. That wasn't right. Started with an 'S' and Macy had seen her around before. Savannah? No. Still not right.
Oh well, it would come to her eventually. Now to wait for their prefects... Whom she really hoped showed up. Otherwise she'd just look stupid.
Filled with fame, recognition, and honor, Lola Jones hoped her name would be held in this very room after she graduated Hogwarts. What would she get? A trophy for the infamous drama at Hogwarts, maybe? She wanted it to be big, shiny, and her name in bold letters! "Sierra, wait for me! And hold my HAND, young lady! I don't want you to be abducted!" What would she do if something ever happened? It was like the relationship of a mother and a child, hand to hand in those muggle pedestrian crossings!
It was beautiful.
Suddenly, the fish-cookies that she'd been smuggling saving from the common room all started to drop out. "Kermit! Debbie #2! MARGARET!" Lola immediately shrieked in horror as she scrambled down to the ground, wondering why they chose to take a leap of death and out of her safe and comfy pockets. More started to pop out and she panicked, pausing for emphasis, and then starting to make strange whimpering noises. "Sierra? Sierra come help!" And why wasn't she holding her arm, for Merlin's sake?!
AND WHY WAS SHE IGNORING HER PLEAS AND CONTINUING TO WALK OFF AS IF HER FISH BABIES WEREN'T DYING ON THE GROUND?!
"I can't take you now! I'll come back! I PROMISE! Take your mother's warnings, children! Be saaaaaaaaafe!"
She sobbed as she took a handful of the fish-cookies, gave a long, meaningful stare at the rest... and dashed towards the Trophy Room. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL! But instead of focusing on this lovely scenery, Lola Jones grovelled pathetically to Sierra's side and hugged the cookies that were in her hand... pressing them down to her heart.
"I had to leave Cynthia and Greg, Sierra... They're out there... waiting to be eaten! I'm a horrible parent."
And so she faced the wall in shame, off in her own little Lola-corner. Now what was this little puzzle game they were playing? Hmm? Were the Prefects even here?!

Even if she was following the small group rather slowly, she just had to keep her ears out for Lola. Hehe. The girl hadn't let anyone down in telling where she was at the moment. Evelyn supposed there were some good uses for that.
Smiling slightly as she crossed her arms, trying to imagine Sierra's expression right now about holding hands, the Slytherin finally turned a corner...only to hear something about leaving...who the heck are Cynthia and Greg? Raising a brow, she moved further forward, peering into the trophy roo-
Oh. Oh she saw now. Fish cookies. "Cynthia and Greg?" she asked, glancing at Lola and...pretending that she was going to step on one.

The trophy room!
Well... fame, success, recognition... it made sense, right?
Helena had never been here before, but she kind of knew all the time where the trophy room was. As the girl entered, she also noticed that she wasn't the only one. See? It must be alright.
Since her mouth wouldn't open to say something, she only smiled. Yes, she didn't know any of the girls, except the ones that were on the Quidditch team.

Ok, several Slytherins were already here.... Salander entered the Trophy room and wandered about, finding his way towards Fletcher's Tri-Wizard trophy. "Fame, success, recognition." he repeated as he lightly rapped the glass casing the held unique looking award. He turned around as his gaze fell on the other Slytherins before him "Is that it? Jafar said something about going someplace that pleased me the most.... soooo does that mean I can head to the Kitchens now?"

Aurora raced up to the trophy room. There were already people there! She guessed a lot of Slytherin's wanted the fame. Admittedly she was more pleased by music so a music room would have been more fitting but there wasn't one so she came here. She loved it in here. She often came in to compose quietly or to write to he brother. It was just so SHINY!!
As she reaches the trophy room, Aiden decided to wait there for the prefects for a while. She looks around for clues. None. Well, in case if they are at the wrong place, Aiden has other places in mind. She remembers the Baron said about "the room which holds almost everything you want". It is either the kitchen or the Room of Requierement.
Sighing, Aiden leans her back against the wall while waiting for the prefects.

Ok, to be honest he hadn't really get the clue that was given by the bloody baron in the common room. Maybe it was his poor little eleven year old brain that he didn't understand it but he was smart enough to follow the other Slytherin's. They would know where they would be going right?
As Daichi followed them, he noticed that they were headed to the Trophy room. He had never been in this place but as he walked down with the others he saw the cups and gold and silver all over the place. Yup this is the Trophy room.
Daichi decided not to stand against a wall but to go look at the trophies. There were alot. Quidditch trophies, House cup trophies, Head girl/boy trophies etc etc... The first year sighed. He wondered if his name would ever be on one of these things , probably not but one can dream right?

Bloody clues. And here he thought it was only going to be a quick meeting. Never in his mind that the Bloody Baron would come out and read to them some clues. Jonathan admits, he's too tired to even walk right now so it took him awhile to come to the third floor.
To him, this was the longest walk he had to do. EVER.
Upon reaching the Trophy Room he looked at the other Slytherins. Great. At least he's not that dumb to think of the answer yet. There were a couple of Snakes already searching and waiting for the next clue to pop out of nowhere.
"Is this the right place?" he mumbled as his left eyebrow raised in confusion. Well, if it's not then the clue they just heard was bogus.
Fame, success, recognition... The Trophy Room holds those three things together. They should be right about that.

Daichi was still looking at one of the quidditch cups in admiration when he heard a voice mumbling something behind him. He turned around and saw it was... Jonathan~! "Haaaaii!" he waved his hands enthusiastically in the air as he looked at the older snake. Smiling, Daichi walked up to him because to be honest, he was the only person he knew in this room so far.
"i think it is the right room. Actually, i didn't get the clue the Bloody Baron said in the common room but i followed them" He pointed at the other students in the room. "So i figured it would be he--" Daichi's cheeks blushed a shape of red when he realised what he had said. He had basically said that he was stupid. "N-N-NOT that i'm dumb or something! i'm not! its just... clues and then meeting and...yeah!" He cleared his throat and decided to just stand cool. Therefore he folded his arms and took a pose. yeeeaah..hehe
Caroline walked into the trophy room. Where they were surrounded by the recognition of others fame and success Why they were up there on the third floor? Well that was beyond her. Wouldn't it have been just as easy to have the meeting in the common room? She rolled her eyes. If then had to solve too many more riddles she would just for get the whole and go to the kitchen and eat.
This must be the right place. There was a at least a dozen other slytherins there. Slytherins were not stupid and if there were that many here, it must be the right place.

Oh, well, at least with one other person here, Sierra could be a little more sure she'd come to the right place. If this turned out to be the wrong place, she'd feel a little ridiculous just standing around. She shrugged. "I guess so." Neither one of them could really be sure until Iris, Evan, and Aaron showed up. Speaking of which, were they in now? "Are we supposed to just wait? Or look for them again?" she asked. Or maybe the Bloody Baron would turn up again. She wasn't going to spend all day in here. She was getting tired from the match.

Sierra peered out into the corridor. Her eyes immediately fell on Evelyn and what the older Slytherin was about to do. "Do it," Sierra mouthed, nodding toward Cynthia and Greg, the cookies. She watched and waited, smirk on her face, to see what Evelyn would do.

Aurora walked round the room, waiting and gazing at all the trophies. She paused near the cabinets with the awards for special services to the school and glanced at them, moving up from way back in the 1990's... Wow, there were a lot more back then. She moved on, closer to the present awards and walked, slapBANG into solid air. Well, sort of solid. Kind of squishy... like a person.
"OW! What was that!!!" she yelled, rubbing her forehead. "Who's there?" she glared at the empty space in front of her, scrutinizing it for signs of life.

So, you've figured out that Iris and Evan were in the Trophy Room; congrats. Many of you make your way to the room full of shiny trophies and awards, only to find that you can't see either Prefect anywhere. AGAIN. Fear not though, there's going to be no more ghostly messages... None that're planned by the Prefects, anyway.
Near some Special Services To The School awards (those belonging to the brave students who'd ventured down into the depths of the Lake in Term 22) is a large blackboard, containing no text at all. It's completely empty.

Iris jumped backwards as Aurora the First Year walked right into her, covering her ears at the girl's yell. Brilliant. She blew hers and Evan's cover! Hmpf.
Lifting the Disillusionment Charms from Evan and herself, they became visible to the Slytherin's that'd figured out the Baron's clue and gotten themselves to here. Iris was grinning happily at the students, impressed with the number that'd turned up. If the others didn't want to come, then it was them missing out. They had taken a while to get here though... The Baron really was difficult to reason with though. Perhaps making him call them "M'lovelies" wasn't the best of ideas. NEVER MIND, EH? Hehe.
"Hulloo! As you can probably tell... this isn't actually going to be a meeting. Nope! It's hopefully going to be something much more fun than that." Iris started, looking around the room. "Because, you see... We discovered something amazing in the Grounds; something that's been hidden for years. This whole thing is for you to find out what, and where it is. Not only that, but we're hoping to test your "Slytherin" side, and your ability to cooperate well with other houses."
Iris took a glance at Evan, before deciding to carry on. "As Slytherin's, we're supposed to be cunning, resourceful and sly. You're going to use those traits to try and trick information out of Evan and I, in a large game of 20 Questions. You can ask anything, whether it be about the final location, where you need to go next, the relevance of the cookies in the common room and these trophies right here... anything. We can only answer with yes or no."
It just occurred to the girl JUST how boring some of the students will probably find this. Well TOUGH. They weren't idiots, there'd be no silly games - simple as. The end to the hunt would be totally worth it, anyway. "This blackboard is going to be used to keep score of what we answer "Yes" to, and what gets answered "No" to. It's your job to use that gathered information to try and figure out where you have to go next."
Raising her wand, she aimed it at the chalk. It levitated into the air and wrote "YES" on one side of the board, "NO" on the other, and then drew a vertical line down the centre.
"Once you think you've figured out the next location, DO NOT yell it out. Everyone's got to figure it out on your own. Just tell me that you think you know the location, and then one of us will cast a charm so only we can hear your answer. (OOC translation: PM one of us your answer.) If you're right, we'll give you one of these green OR silver bags." She pointed to the small velvet bags that were sat under the blackboard. Exactly half were green, and half were silver. "They can't be opened until you've got to the next location, and until you have the help of three other people. One of these people will be a fellow Slytherin, and the other two will be from a separate house. They'll have information on how to use the contents of the bag to gain the next clue, which will lead you to the place that the prefects discovered earlier in the year." Hopefully the Snakes would be smart enough to figure out that the different coloured bags contained different things... And she'd apologise to them all for having to wait so much later...
"So... Who's willing to start us off?"

- VM/PM one of us if you're confused with anything.
- Have fun with this!
Another term, another scavenger hunt. Was there ever a term without one? But suprisingly to carolline it sounded pretty exciting. She looked around at the others in the room. While if no one else was going to speak up, she would. Caroline raised her hand. "Is it near the lake?" All of the fish cookies it had to be something to do with the lake, right?

Hehe.
Lola was sighing, thinking about those fish babies that could have had a FUTURE and she--Lola Jones--ruined it all for them. Who knows? Sharks could have... the thought had been too unbearable for the poor little Slytherin girl who was huddling off into the corner. All hope was lost and for now, she stared at the fish-cookies in her hands, sighing, looking away, then checking on them every few minutes or so with a long, regretful sigh.
She immediately turned her head when she'd heard the name 'Cynthia and Greg' and she looked at the graceful Evelyn.
!!!!!
WHAT IN MERLIN'S BEARD WAS SHE DOING?
"DON'T!" She sputtered and flailed her arms in the air, immediately jumping to Evelyn's feet. "They're too young! Too young, I SAY! TAAAAKE MY LIFE INSTEAAAAD!"

She gasped.
"Sierra Greingoth, please take your BEHIND to the bathroom and wash your soap! CYNTHIA AND GREG, I pity them so! YOU'RE OBVIOUSLY NOT A MERMAID-IN-TRAINING LIKE ME. They're my friends! My babies!"
Lola immediately realized how similar her fishies were to Sierra. "Sierra--it can't be! Are you a fish as well?!" Gasp gasp gasp gasp GASP.
Oh look a Prefect! The girl looked as if she'd just popped out of nowhere, but no, that was absurd. Her eyes were probably play tricks on her and this Prefect was simply a figment of her imagination that would be telling her where to go next. The magic of invisibility did spark curiousity in Lola's eyes, but no, she had to be realistic here! An illusion she was, and she kept that idea neatly tucked in her mind as she happily grinned while listening to what the girl was listening. What was that? A blackboard. Oh, look, there were Special Service Awards right next to it, that was just absolutely shiny, but her eyes were latched on to one name: Cameron Karsten.
Well whoooo could that be? A BRAVE, YOUNG HERO THAT VENTURED INTO THE DEPTHS OF THE LAKE. Interesting.
Lola had to continue listening though, and she was interested in this twenty questions game.
Hmm.
Think...
Why would... She raised her hand. Oh my, it was like playing a detective in one of those crime scene plays! How fun! "First of all," she started towards the Prefect, "Are you an illusion?--no, don't count that as a question, but I'm perplexed by your disguise!" She stared down at her cookies, frowning as she continued to think and like a lightning bolt hitting across the sky, she had an idea. The idea evolved into something that could possibly be the answer.
"Will the place take my FISH BABIES, CYNTHIA and GREG, into a place where they can enjoy life peacefully without my utmost care?"

WHAT IN MERLIN'S BEARD WAS SHE DOING?
"DON'T!" She sputtered and flailed her arms in the air, immediately jumping to Evelyn's feet. "They're too young! Too young, I SAY! TAAAAKE MY LIFE INSTEAAAAD!"
Glancing over Lola to Sierra, Evelyn stared at her for a moment before smirking and glancing down to the two cookies. Well, blame Sierra, Lola! She was the one that told her to do it.
Just as she was about to step down on one of the cookies though, the loud yell of that first year and than their prefects being all 'TADA' and out in the open had her leaving the second cookie alive...and Lola being suddenly at her feet...
Ehhh. "Alright...alright." she muttered, inching around her Slytherin housemate as if she were a big pile of mud and didn't want to get her shoes dirty. Dramatic much? Lola was lucky she was an awesome seeker. Otherwise, Evelyn wouldn't think twice about stepping on those fish cookies.

OOC: rules/guidance.
- Use the questions to try and uncover the next clue/location.
- Questions MUST have a possible way to answer yes or no to them.
- Your character can ask TWO separate questions in each post.
- Please wait until Either Nixy! or Deniiz have replied to all the posts and updated the blackboard at the end of their posts before posting again.
- Observation, Patience and creativity are key!
- LET OUT THE SLYTHERIN IN YOU.
- Once you have figured out the answer, PM one of the prefects the location.
- The contents of the bags are essential for the next part of the Hunt. You need to figure out the next location AND PM me or Deniiz to be given the bag and it's contents in a reply PM.
- VM/PM one of us if you're confused with anything.
- Have fun with this!
Moving slightly into the trophy room, she stood to the side and leaned against the doorway, crossing her arms and listening. This wasn't a meeting? Well heck, even the Hufflepuffs could've figured that one out.
On the other hand, Evelyn was in quite disbelief that THIS is what they were doing. She will NOT be running around trying to find some oh so secret item when they could just tell them what it is right now. No way. Yet, there she was, still standing there and listening to what Iris was saying. Pffft. Right. After the Head Girl was done with her speech, THEN Evelyn was leaving. It would be rude to leave right in the middle after all.
Hmmm...alright, so after she figured out where this next location was, THEN she will be leaving to go find Josh. Truth be told, she was a tad curious.
After Caroline spoke up, Evelyn sighed and crossed one foot over the other. "Are we going to have to fight some creature to get to it?" Like seriously. She didn't want to have to do that. It's not like she was thinking about going to find this secret history stuff either! Pfft. PFFFFFFT. "And is this treasure stuff somewhere where the lake had flooded before?"
She'd heard about that. And what with the fish cookies and all...
IRIS!!! "Seriously! Iris! That hurt! Are you wearing a badge or something?" said Aurora. Sure, Iris was the Head Girl but that didn't give her permission to go around being invisible and in the way!
Hmmm! Aurora scowled, still rubbing her forehead.
"Are there other... Prefects at this place? Or people who are students with extras?" asked Aurora, thinking back to Aaron's mysterious disappearance earlier.

Iris looked at the girl, instantly coming the conclusion that only having the options "yes" and "no" was going to make this insanely difficult for her and Evan.
... Well, the girl HAD been ambiguous. She didn't define whether she was referring to the end place, or the next place. "Yes."

The magic of invisibility did spark curiousity in Lola's eyes, but no, she had to be realistic here! ... "No." Iris said, plainly. A small smile did crack, though. The Lola girl was a nutter. "It was a disillusionment charm, I'm completely real." She said it didn't count as a question, so Iris didn't have to stick to only saying "no". Yes. She was making these rules up as she went along. Iris is Head Girl. She's allowed to do that.
Oooh. That was tough... Wait. Was the girl talking about cookies. Iris's cookies? ... "I'm afraid not..." No cookies can last where there are Hogwartians...

The Head Girl glanced at Evelyn. She liked her, even though she'd never let onto that fact. Shaking her head, Iris smiled. "Nope. No creatures." ... Unless you're a Gryffindor. Let's leave that one out of it for now, though. At the second question, Iris again shook her head. "No...." But really, hold onto that thought... There's some relevance.
