Vashti entered the Trophy Room, having decided to see what all was in here, mainly just to waste some time. Her brain was tired from all the educational books she'd been reading to study for her OWLs, and she really just needed a break from it all. Looking at shiny things was definitely a nice de-stressor.

The Trophy Room was definitely a must on Ari's list of places to explore at Hogwarts. Yes, she had made a list. Finally finding the room, it took the girl extra twenty minutes to find what she was actually looking for.

There it was, shining brightly. Her mother's name on a plaque, under the title: 'Ravenclaw Quidditch Captain'. The year? 2050. So long ago. Further, Ariadne had found a another plaque with a familiar name: Griselda Marchbanks, this time under the title: 'Ravenclaw Head Girl.' It was so impressive to see a proof of her family's achievements over time. No wonder the tiny firstie was overwhelmed.

After moments of silence, Ari heard footsteps and turned around instinctively. 'Oh, Vashti, what a surprise!' she exclaimed, and ran over to the girl. 'I wanted to look for you after the feast. Did you see me up there, with the Sorting Hat? I got into Gryffindor, a break from the family tradition. But they're proud of me, I owled my mum after the feast to tell her the news.' Ari kept on talking. 'So how are you? How was the rest of your summer?' she asked Vashti.

Scanning each of the shiny trophies and plaques, Vashti didn't recognize most of the names there, but that didn't really bother her. She wasn't really trying to read them. Much as she loved reading, it required working your brain, and her brain had been overworked the past few days. She clearly needed a better way to study if it made her so tired she wasn't happy reading anything!

But then she was suddenly pulled out of her little daze by someone saying her name. Turning, she found- "Ari!" She grinned at her first year friend. She had been wondering what the girl had been up to. And, oh yeah! "Congrats on Gryffindor," she said with a nod. Vashti had been hoping a little that Ari would be in Ravenclaw with her, but that was okay. Gryffindor was good too. Not as good or awesome as Ravenclaw though, hehe.

"I'm alright, as was my summer," she replied. Nothing much to talk about really. The last part of summer had been pretty quiet and calm for her, which was a good thing. "How about you?"
