He raised his voice and shouted a command. "Avast, me hearties!"
With a raspy laugh, he looked at this Gaellen Tate. "Ye look mighty young to be Headmaster. Since ye claim to be in charge of this pile o' rocks, this corsair is needin' to know where ye hid me treasure," he said in a raspy voice. "Don'tcha be thinkin' o' running a gig on me like that pretty wench yonder!"

This time it was Josh who scowled though, since Arya had not stopped pointing the sword at his face and it had actually started to annoy him. Did she really think that it was a smart move, pointing a sword at HIS face, to do so? Yet, this was Arya so there was no way Josh would attempt to do what he would be doing if she was not going to take the sword off his face as he previously had said, and yes, that was despite the fact that the game had just started to get to the point of being extremely ridiculous.
And she was still keeping it so determinedly? Refusing her own identity and what was next? ''Yeaa, of course'' the boy said still remaining in his previous position. Arms crossed, sceptical eyes staring at the girl. Then he couldn't help but laugh out some, rather teasingly, when she told him to join them or fight her. ''I am sorry Fishbutt.'' so the Gryffindor replied with a small smirk ''I will neither be joining that We Are Stupid Pirates game nor fighting you. Not only that i don't have any weapon but also i never fight girls, not physically anyway.''
The brutish young lad scowled again, and was prepared to make the lubber PAY for his words, when he heard the Captain's orders. Arr! His eyes flicked over to Barnabus briefly before returning to the lubber. "Aye, Captain." He all but growled, not at the Captain though. Reluctantly, Fishlips lowered his sword so that it wasn't pointed in the boy's face.

But whatever...if the Headmaster asked that if he was trying to help then what Professor Bentley said must have been true. Those people had lost their minds to...a lot of pirates? And that included Vinny and..., his eyes moved to bestie Simon who was fighting the Ravenclaw captain, ...him too. At least it looked like the Birdie Captain was at their side but just how was all of this possible?
Yet apparently it was not his role to questions things. ''Yes, sir'' he told to the Headmaster obediently and unholstered his wand. It was going to feel odd to be against swords with a wand but...whatever the Tatertot had said.
Therefore, turning back to face Fishlips-Arya mixed person again, he pointed his wand at her and voiced a loud and clear enough. ''Expelliarmus!''
And almost instantly, he regretted lowering his sword. The boy was casting spells at him! And had his trusty weapon flying out of his hand and landing on the opposite end of the table. "Ye'll pay for that boy." He growled, glaring at the boy. First he was calling him Fishbutt, which was NOT his name, and then he was playing tricks with his weapon. Oh, he would pay.
Stomping down the table, and never taking his eyes off the boy, he moved to retrieve his trusty weapon.

Yet if he seriously had called one of the lady professors he liked a wench...that was a HUGE problem and...
The Gryffindor took a few steps closer to that direction carefully listening to the man's words. Pretty much...annoying words. He knew Headmaster Tate could very well deal with his mess but there was no way Josh could stand there doing nothing while he spoke to the Herbology professor like that.
So, running that direction, the seventeen year old boy simply pointed his Hazel wand at the armed man, staring at him with eyes full of anger ''How DARE you speak to her THAT WAY!!!''
This lad WANTED to visit Davy Jones, Fishlips was certain of this. And he would be the one to take him there if the Captain allowed. Picking up his weapon, he hopped off the table and made hast moving to Barnubus' side, eyes set on glaring at the boy who dared to confront the Captain. "Ye best be listenin' to yer headmaster, lubber." He snapped quietly. The sword still lay at his side, ready to be used once given the order.
But right now it didn't seem it would as the Captain was attempting to figure where they're treasure was in a calm manner. Eh. There was no fun in this.

Then he turned back to the Headmaster and stared at him menacingly.
"Ye's forgotten in yer addled mind. Tis a cryin' shame an' let me remind ye. I, Captain Barnabus, swore on me last breath that me would never leave her be. An' now, me treasure is gone. Now I ask ye one last time - where is me treasure?!"
Tate gave the man a long, slow blink. He was saying all these words, but it was like they were put together in the wrong order. He simply didn't have a clue what Max wanted. "I'm certain I've never met a Captain Barnabas, but... perhaps you had dealings with another Headmaster in your time?"
That was all he could fathom at this point.
Tate glanced at Seren and Fina. "Should we send for Kimber, do you think? See if she can work up some history for us?"

This whole situation seemed to be so confusing. What was all this treasure business about? "I think thats a sound option," she replied at Tates suggestion. She was still eyeing Barnabus/Vindictus. Was this a game? Like a role play game? Did he and the students already know the history and wanted to play it out?
It really didn't make much sense. Then again nothing that happened at Hogwarts ever did.

Hah! Take that you Fish-something!! The Gryffindor boy had forced you be weapon-less!!! And he was going to do it again if you would ever try to lay your hands back on that sword!! Funny, was not it! Dirty pirate!!!
And upon seeing the Fishman's reaction to it, Josh smirked at the pirate person thing then raised his eyebrows again, at the way he tried to threaten him. ''Yeaaaa! Really? I would love to see you actually try that.''

Nice calm conversation?
Sword through his gullet?
Stopping glaring at Professor Vindictus, the Gryffindor turned to face Headmaster Tate instead with wide eyes. Sword through gullet? Pfffft! So what? And how could he talk about being a part of a 'nice and calm conversation' if there was any risk of swords meeting gullets? ''Does it really matter?'' he said stubbornly yet realising there was no point with arguing with the man whose side he was going to be at, he just lowered his wand after sighing some.
''Yes, Headmaster. I am sorry. I will do as you say.''
Yet, that was NOT because he wanted to make the man pay for the way he had adressed to Professor Bentley. Definitely not!

Yes, he had obeyed to Tate. Yes, he had lowered his wand. Yes, he gave up threatening the big pirate man who seemed to be their leader. Yet, this Fisbutt was still trying to get on his nerves. Or he/she was just getting on his nerves.
So, even though he had stopped glaring at Vindictus, the epic glare came back to his eyes when he turned to look at Arya/Pirate again. Well...well...well. ''Just where did you get the impression that i would get suggestions from you, Fishdung?''

Glick had momentarily lost track of what was going on. There were landlubbers, corsairs, and scallywags alike lining the table, most with swords--but he, Glick, with a transfigured rubber chicken. He stalked down the table and toward the captain, who was still going on about his treasure being lost. Glick edged closer, a mad look in his eyes, and tried desperately to hear what was going on. He put his good ear, which was still very hard on hearing, on the side facing the captain.
Toothless looked around wondering when the fight was going to break out again. There was generally no calm way for Pirate to fix their problems. They just swung swords untill one or the other side won.
Aye, Capt'in. These lubbers are pulling ye leg. They don't be having the treasure at all." He shouted because it didn't appear that had the treasure at all and were just buying themselves time.
Tate gave the man a long, slow blink. He was saying all these words, but it was like they were put together in the wrong order. He simply didn't have a clue what Max wanted. "I'm certain I've never met a Captain Barnabas, but... perhaps you had dealings with another Headmaster in your time?"

"Then yer foul magic has addled yer brain," growled Barnabus. "Me wouldn' put it past ye to change yer appearance an' pretendin' to not know me. Enough wi' yer lies!"
He turned to the pirates. All of them. "Gentlemen o' fortune! This castle be hidin' me treasure an' we must find 'er," he bellowed with authority. "Look everywhere an' no rest until me treasure is found!"
Barnabus gave Tate a scathing look and then bounded out of the Great Hall.

Sea Dog stood from his seat and looked around at everyone and then started to follow Barnabus out of the Great Hall. "Where ye be headin cousin? Me thinks we should start in the dungeons!" He said sternly and then looked back over his shoulder at the crew and then back at Barnabus. "Aye the dungeons sound like a good place to start."

With his eyes and ears (what was left of his ears, that is) focused completely on the captain, Glick bounded off the staff table, as well. With the rubber chicken still in his hand, for reasons even he had yet to figure out, he ran off after the captain. If there was treasure to be found, he sure as heck wasn't going to allow the captain or one of his scallywags the chance to get to it first. A few seconds later, he was out the Great Hall and headed to Merlin only knew where.

Fina had mostly been observing the behaviors in the hall but suddenly the Headmaster seemed to have spoken to her. And Seren. Huh? Kimber? History? Whatever was he on about? Staring blankly at Tate, she then heard something from the supposed "Captain Barnabus". Look everywhere an' no rest until me treasure is found!
And then him and a couple of his following had bounded from the Hall.
With a shrug, she looked toward Tate and Seren. "Well then, I guess I'm going to head to the library to speak with Kimber. You two can join me if you like... or follow them." Getting more information did seem like the sounder of the two options though. Rising from her seat, she strode from the Hall and off in the direction of the Library.

After watching Barnabus/Vindictus order his... student-crew to search for the treasure and leave the Great Hall.. Seren had the uge to follow him. Follow him and make his life hell-- for calling her a wench! which she clearly wasn't. But by far the safest option would be to go to the library, so yeah...
Quickly she tossed up her two options, weighing them carefully.
Exciting and possible reckless....... or safe and.. educational?
Merlin this was not an easy decision. Her love of adrenalin and danger was leaning her towards following Barnabus/Vindictus...
Yep she should follow him.. perhaps keep her distance though. Maybe she'd offer to help?
"I'll watch Vindictus." Then turning to Tate she added, "And don't worry, I wont hit him again..."unless he asks for it.
And with that she was off. On a treasure hunt! Fun!

Fishlips glowered at the boy, but kept quiet on account of his Captain conversing with the boy's leader. Did he have no respect for his leader? Fishlips didn't think so. He'd teach the boy some latter...

"Aye, Cap'n!" He flourished his sword a bit, and resisted the urge to jump back onto the table again. A quick glare was sent at the boy before he turned on his heels, and quickly dashed out of the great hall. He had to find the Captain's treasure before the lubbers or traitors did. Let the search begin!
