Mia got his meaning and she gave his arm a squeeze. "James, will come around eventually." Hmm, didn't she just give the same speech to Marie about Matty? She tried to imagine how she would react if she had been in this kind of situation and while she would be upset, she didn't think she would be angry with anyone. People can't help how they feel. It was just human nature. "You're the second person I met when I came to England." James had been the first. It was a small world.

"Tell me Finn. What does one do as a Prefect or Headboy? Why she wanted to know, she had no idea because it was extremely unlikely that she would ever be made one.

Arabella-Marie looked up at the girl who had walked over and said "Sure go ahead i do not mind at all"

Emily raised an eyebrow. Emenemily? *shrug* Alright then.
"I'm fine, just... enjoying the sunshine!" Well that wasn't stirctly true, but Elaine didn't need to know that.

Laughing as Happy squawked at her she gave him a quick stroke and he was off again. "Hi Happy. Wow you have a really close bond with your owl!" She didn't have that with Sunny yet. But mabye it was because she'd just bought him.

She smiled at Elaine and looked into her purple eyes again. Why did she have purple eyes?! Ok, time to get things straight.
"Elaine, can I ask you something?" she said pulling her by the arm over to the side of the path. "Well, not you don't have to tell me but... are you a Metamorphmagus?" That had to be it! Why else would she have purple eyes?!

The pathways were always pretty. Very picturesque, much like the rest of the castle. The young first year had come to expect such beauty. By now, it no longer stunned him, merely sent a shiver through his spine.

With a slight limp thanks to a fall from the day before (typical Matt), he waddled down one of the winding tracks, bag on shoulder - full of food - and expression content. He was at Hogwarts. In Gryffindor. The thought made him smile. Quickly stroking the miniscule owl at his shoulder, he continued his stroll, deftly avoiding the occasional pothole in fear of another fall like yesterday's.

"Oh... um... hi" Elaine smiled. "His name's Happy," she said throwing another treat up in the air for him.
"I'm fine, really, thanks though," she turned back to him and held out her hand.
"Elaine, Elaine Dythaneil!" She grinned.


"It's a beautiful day to do that!" she grinned.
"Yeah, animals have always liked me, there's that and the fact I spoil him!" Elaine laughed thowing a treat in the air for him to catch. She watch Happy effortlessly swoop down and catch the thing before flying back up and circling them again.

"Yeah, sure. What is it?" she smiled following Emily over to the side.
"What?...A Metamophmagus? Why do you ask that?" She paused, then realisation dawned on her.
"Oh, you mean the hair and stuff." Elaine grinned people never really asked, so she had forgotten. "Nope! I'm not, it would be cool if I was though." she smiled.

Because it was a nice warm day, Daichi decided to walk towards the Great Lake.
Of course his sense of direction failed him again and he now found himself in part around the school he had never been before. He looked at the path before him and since other students were walking on it too he thought it wasn't something off limits and proceeded to walk through the pathway.

He held his plushed ducky by its foot beside his body and walked down the pathway. He wished the sun would be up in the sky forever , soon it will be dark again and snow will fall down and yucky rain and....Daichi did like the cold but not that cold weather. He walked with his mind lost in thoughts as he wondered what his first subject would be. He couldn't wait to start classes!

"So I take it your gonna be good at care of magical creatures?" she said raising an eyebrow and watching Happy fly through the air.

"Your... your not?" she asked genually amazed. "Then how... but you've... what?!" she was so confused. And she did not like being confused. "So how come you have, purple eyes!? And blue hair!?" HOW Elaine? Explain HOW?!

"Hopefully!" She grinned. "I'd like to look after animals."

Elaine laughed as Emily stammered in confusion.
"The eyes, well they've always been like that. Even my brothers look like this," she said pointing at her eyes. "And as for the hair," she got hold of a piece. "My brother changed it for me," Elaine grinned again.
"I even know the spell do you want me to show you?" She pulled her wand from her sleeve ready to cast the spell.

Emily nodded slowly. This wasn't wierd at all.
"So you and your brother both have purple eyes?" she repeated, emphasis on purple. "And your brother changed your hair blue?" She got it now! "Um, ok show me! Make my hair green to match my eyes!" she smiled, mostly to try not to show her worry if something went wrong and she was stuck with green hair forever.
"2 things though: Why did you want blue hair? And, arn't you curious why you have purple eyes?" She was.

Nessie was trying to find her way but she seemed to be going somwhere completley different. It seemed as though she was following some path. She thought of asking somone for help, but they might think she was a lame first year. So she carried on walking and looking around. Puffles her pygmy puff was with her and he was getting a bit irritated. She put him on the ground so he could walk a bit and stop annoying her. As she carried on walking she kept on checking that Puffles was following her and not going in anyones way. Then without realising where she was walking Nessie knocked somone over. She quickly turned around to help the person when she saw it was Matt. "Oh Matt I'm so sorry" said Nessie hoping he wasn't angry."I was just watching out for my pygmy puff and I didn't see where I was going. I really am sorry"

Jamie's tiny feet had covered almost the whole of the grounds, and he thought that he was almost done! That was until he stumbled across some pathways that would likely lead him somewhere else. He did NOT like the size of this place. Too big. TOOOOO SCARY. And now his feet were killing from too much walking.

Spotting a bench along the pathways, Jamie didn't SIT, no, he lay on it as if he were playing dead. Maybe he would just sleep here in the lovely breeze. It was a lot calmer than the dormitories, surprisingly. So here he would stay...

...Until the Unicorns and Trolls took him off to the Forbidden Forest, that is.

"Oooofph." Matt stumbled backwards, the sudden collision causing his arms to flail wildly as he desparately tried to stay upright. There was a flash of a familiar face, before his gaze fell to the floor. He steadied himself, scarf swinging, before looking up again. "What the--...Nessie?" His rant was broken as a smile broke out on the first year's face. He hadn't seen his fellow worrier since Diagon Alley. He'd missed her on the train, and at the feast. But here she was! Bumping into him... He looked down at her Pygmy Puff then back at her face. "S'okay." he said, shaking it off, and nudging her shoulder reassuringly. Then he spotted her robes. "Hufflepuff!" he said, pointing at her tie with a grin. "Nice one!"

"Um.. I'm really sorry. I feel so bad" said Nessie blushing a bit, but happy to see he was glad to see her. "Yeah I'm a Huffie" said Nessie smiling , which didn't happen very often lately. Nessie looked at his robes too and saw bright red. Nessie kinda hoped for a second that she could be in Griffindor too as she had plent of friends from there, but she was also happy with Hufflepuuf. "Your a Griffindor I guess?"

Brynn was bored and she was neglecting her coursework by trying to find something interesting happening on the grounds. Unfortunately for her, people were being pretty boring today. But she walked further along the pathways, looking for anything to keep her interest. Her pace slowed as she spotted some randomer lying sprawled across an entire bench. Way to take up the whole thing!

Boredom for Brynn meant she had to spice things up a little. The kid definitely looked younger than her, so it was perfect - she totally had the upper hand. Hmmmm. She glanced around, then spotted some leaves that had fallen to the ground already. In one swift motion, she bent down and scooped up a pile of them and walked over to the boy.

SWISHHHHH.

They all fell on top of his head.

"Don't worry about it." he said, batting her apology away. "No bones broken, see?" He looked down and tapped his stomach - it was practically where his heart lay. He and food were a match made in heaven.

Matt nodded. "Yup!" He puffed out his chest a little, proud of his house. But then his shoulders hunched slightly. "But I don't really know why...I'm a bit of a coward." He frowned at the floor, stuck in a silent reverie, before he began walking again, indicating for Nessie to follow. "How's that Oakey boy?" he asked, remembering that episode in Diagon Alley. The thought made him grimace - it hadn't been fun.

This was so peaceful. So, peaceful in fact, he wiggled his toes, put his hands behind his head and smiled as he got more comfortable.

WOAH. What was that? WHAT WAS THAAAAAAAT?

It couldn't be night yet! He had only been lying here for about five minutes, and something had fallen on top of him. It wasn't heavy, but it felt weird and certainly took him by surprise.

"NO, you UNICORNS! I'm not ready to be taken away yet!" Maybe later he'd go on an adventure with the Unicorns, but he needed a bit of a rest first. Scrambling like a baffoon, Jamie fell straight off the bench and flat on his face. Why was he so stupidly accident prone?

Looking up, expecting to see a magical beast, he saw a GIRL. An older girl who was obviously bullying him! He frowned for a second, then jumped up to his feet, laughing nervously. "Hah, yeah... good one." He scratched his head.

"Well as long as you ok!" said Nessie making sure he wasn't lying. "Im sure your'e there for a good reason though". Nessie took Matt's hand as they started to walk."Oh yeah his okay he just has this really wierd scar in the shape of a numeral four. His thinking of going to a proffesor about it." said Nessie starting to worry about Oakey again. "Um.. so how are you?'

Matt nodded at her again, shooting her a reassuring smile.

WOAH. WOAH. WOAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Then the red lights went up. Was she...holding his hand?!?!?!? HOLY CHICKEN.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

The heat crept to his face before he could squash it, his cheeks turning a bright, fire engine red. No words would come out, none at all. Almost as if he'd been burned, he whipped his hand away from her, a small anxious frown on his face.

Helena simply smiled at Viola, as she made a few more steps further. Not exactly knowing what to do or what to say, she stopped for a moment to pick up a fallen leaf. Nope, she was not that insane, but she just needed something to fiddle with between her hands. It was just a thing she was used to do almost every time.

"Are you looking forward for the classes to start?" The girl asked, grinning. She surely did! Even though... She really hoped that they wouldn't have to kill something again for a potion. Helena didn't enjoy that last term. Not at all, despide the fact that she loved Potions.

Nessie was waiting for a reply from Matt when she saw his face turn red. Before she could even ask what was wrong we let go of her hand and frowned. "Matt? Are you ok? " asked Nessie not knowing what she had done wrong all she did was asked him a question.

" Hi Happy" William called out to the owl. " he eats a lot" Willaim said to Elaine. " I thought you were fine, I was just asking" Willaim told Elaine. "So have you been to other parts of the grounds?" Willaim asked Elaine.

He just stared at her, eyes like saucers. His inner-screaming was incessant. It was just a constant:

His jaw hung open and he looked down at his hand. Their hands. Once again:

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

"N-nothing." Matt said finally, as he started walking again, hurrying away from the situation which did NOT just happen. He desperately searched his brain for her question...What was it? C'mooooon...

Then it clicked. "Oh, I'm fine." he said hastily, indicating with a quick nod that she should follow him. "Tired, very tired, had a late night and everything, all that feasting, and eating, and more eating, I like eating, eating is good..." he babbled, both hands shoved FIRMLY in his pockets.

"Are you sure?" Nessie as she continued to walk. She thought he was lying but wasn't too sure. Nessie really hoped she didn't do anything wrong. She was such a bad friend and needed to be better. "Sorry I'm such a bad friend. i completely understand why you don't wanna talk to me. I know Iv'e been very misrable lately. Its just that I miss her" said Nessie thinking that was probably why he was so irritated.It wasn't as hard to talk about it anymore but Nessie thought she'd better go as she was irritating him. She started walking away and then a tear slid down her eye. Why couldn't she just stop she was such a bad person.

Viola walked slowly, thinking about how classes were going to begin in full swing anytime soon.

"Oh, yeah." Viola replied, with enthusiasm. "Especially Defence Against the Dark Arts." Gosh, she was so excited. "You?" she asked, although the answer was a bit obvious.
