| | The Old Ship The ancient schooner stands tall in the dark water, although there is a definite list to the mast and sails that belie its age. After all these years hidden in or around the lake, the ship is in remarkably good condition, although the lower decks drip with water and something rather green and slimy. If not for the age and apparent solitude of the ship, it would appear the crew had just departed, even going so far to leave the gangplank lowered to provide access to the main deck.
The main deck is cluttered in a way no captain would approve. Bits of knotted rope, lank strands of the shredded sail, and abandoned cannon balls that seem to have taken root to the deck would have tripped up a sailor in bygone days. They are the only artifacts left of those hearty men now. A rope ladder twists uselessly in the rigging - wonder if the crow's nest can still be reached?
Just a few steps above the main deck, the steering wheel is knotted into place with a moldy length of rope. It's impossible to know where these sailors were headed, but they've been sailing in one direction for a very long time indeed. Propped against the railing behind the wheel is a marlinespike, a nasty pointed thing that was someone's weapon or tool... or both.
Beneath the quarterdeck, a gaping doorway leads to the captain's quarters. Decrepit maps, a rusted quadrant, and a compass sit on the captain's desk, but the most interesting artifact is probably the old tricorne hat propped against the chair. Wherever the man went, his head is bare. The bed and wardrobe in the corner could give you more clues about the man who lived here, but the best clue is the log book folded closed on the chair - Captain's Log for the Dead Wizard's Trove.
Below the main deck, you will find the hold and sailor's quarters. Kegs of powder are scattered with a few ancient gold coins, Galleons by the look of them, but there is no further indication as to what the ship once carried. Was the ship a merchant ship? Privateers? Or pirates? |

"I swear to Merlin, if you steal one of those animals I am going to..." Mia had absolutely no idea what she could do. She couldn't physically hurt her. She probably couldn't hurt her emotionally either. Destiny seemed impervious to emotional stuff. And then she had it. "I will summon all your chocolate and give it to the house elves."
Hehe...
See how the Slytherin liked that. Oh, Destiny knew exactly what Mia was doing. Yes she did.
It didn't take a genius, thankfully, to figure it out. She had put the thought of stealing an animal into her head, just so she could go and steal all her chocolate. She supposed it had something to do with the fact that, earlier, she had asked her friend for a chocolate frog and then pulled one out of her own pocket when she didn't give her one.
Paybacks. They sucked.
Heaving a great sigh, Destiny didn't let go of Mia's hand once they reached the steps and began pulling her up them slowly, so not to give her plan away. "Fine. Fine. I won't steal an animal. But I will borrow one, and give it back when I am finished with it."
Which would be never, but she wouldn't mention that.

Oh Destiny was trying to trick her. Mia could see that sneaky look on her face even though the girl was doing her best to play innocent. She knew better. Looking at her friend as they walked up the stairs, she let out a small sigh as well. "Thank you. And you will let the Professor know, right?" That way if the girl did pull a swifty at least the Professor will know who had the animal. "Don't you have enough pets already?" How many more could he girl possibly want? As they reached the next level, Mia spotted the basket of food they had dropped and she immediately picked it up. No point in wasting food.
She took a peek inside and gave a small delighted squeal. "Hey! There's chocolate cake in here."

Mia was such a Hufflepuff. And Destiny wanted to take her on a safari. What was she thinking!? Unless, of course, Mia was just being all Hufflepuffy because they were in school. Whatever it was though, she was taking all the fun away from stealing. "Okay. I'll be sure to let him know." You know, after she graduated school and stuff. But she wouldn't say that either. "You can never have too many pets, Mia. As long as they are all taken care of." And, surprisingly, Destiny did take care of all of hers. Except for her pet spider, but she couldn't help that. He wasn't at school with her.
Letting go of Mia's hand when they reached the next level, Destiny quickly glanced around and her eyes widened slightly when her friend spoke about chocolate cake. In the basket. "You're a GENIUS!" It was good to have a Huffie friend. "If we eat that cake, we can bring the basket with us and put whatever animal we 'borrow' in it!"
They'd be all sneaky-like.

Destiny was such a liar and quite frankly Mia didn't care if she did borrow or steal an animal so long as the girl did it when she wasn't around. She refused to be a party to any shennanigans while at school. She wasn't sure why she was such a goody two shoes at school because she certainly wasn't like this at home or even when she stayed with Nik. "I suppose but you have to remember to have a life too." Or did the girl plan on running a zoo after she graduated from school? Eh that wouldn't surprise Mia one little bit. But having a lot of animals would surely take up a lot of the girl's time.
Mia blinked at Destiny. She was? What had she done that was so...ahhhh. "Destiny I refuse to be your accomplice." And she didn't think the Slytherin eating anymore chocolate was a good idea either. "Besides we don't have anything to cut the cake with."

She had absolutely no idea what that meant, but she had heard it quite a few times. Mostly from the old people that lived down the road from her. She would always hear the women yelling about how their cat went missing and how their life was ruined because that cat was their life. Those old people had no idea it was Destiny who had them cats.
She always gave them back, though. The old people even gave her a few sickles for 'finding' their 'life' for them.
Mia..she was making things much more difficult then they should be. It was't like they were stealing a person or anything. They wouldn't fit into the basket! "Let's not use words like accomplice. It makes it seem like we are doing something wrong. You can be my ugh, buddy." Her thieving buddy.
Destiny stared long and hard at her friend. Was she serious? They didn't have anything to cut the cake with!? "Have you become a muggle in the last five seconds?"

Well that was a very good question. Mia was actually stumped for a moment on how to respond. "Well I guess you need to find a balance. You can have lots of animals and look after them but...well...just don't forget to do other things." She had seen people hide away in their homes with just their animals and it was like they forgot to live for themselves. "But stealing is wrong!" Surely Destiny knew that. Okay so Mia had on a couple of occassions taken something that wasn't hers but it was only minor stuff. Nothing that would be missed or hurt someone in anyway. But Destiny was talking about stealing animals from someone who probably loves them very much. "Destiny, I am your friend that is why I implore you not to take any of those animals."
Why was she staring at her like that? What!? A muggle? Oh...riiiiigt. "Sorry I tend to forget things when I get flustered." And she was very flustered. Her friend wanted to go out steal the creatures from the nursery. "And let's be honest, I'll probably blow that cake up rather than cut it. You've seen what damage I cause with my wand."

Her friend wanted to go out steal the creatures from the nursery. "And let's be honest, I'll probably blow that cake up rather than cut it. You've seen what damage I cause with my wand." Of course Destiny had a brain full of many, many questions to ask Mia. Like, what if she was able to bring her pets with her to do those other things she spoke of. She took Marcus everywhere she went, and if Sly was a good cat and would actually listen to her, she would bring him places as well. But deciding she did not want to stay on the ship much longer, she instead shrugged. Maybe she'd ask her friend later.. "Not all stealing is wrong." And Destiny thought she said she was only going to borrow an animal. She really wasn't going to borrow it, though, and she once again had that creepy feeling that Mia could read her mind. The Hufflepuff received LOOKS. Not just for being creepy, but also for being persistent. "Fine, Mia. I will not steal or borrow an animal. I promise." She would just wait to go home, and steal them old lady's cats.
Riiiight. Mia was flustered.
Perhaps the girl should stop thinking about that Durmstrangling boyfriend of hers and then she wouldn't be so flustered! Rolling her eyes, Destiny took a few steps closer to the chocolate cake; they probably shouldn't eat the cake on the ship. It'll probably taste like mildew and cabbage.. "We should take the cake outside anyway. And THEN you can blow it up. It'll be like..death by chocolate."

Not all stealing was wrong? Was that so? Mia was very curious as to how that worked exactly. "Okay Destiny, do enlighten me. Which stealing is not wrong?" Oh this was going to be good. As they reached the top of the stairs, Mia peered down at Destiny and raised her eyebrows at the looks she was getting. "I hope you remember that promise. Wherever you are." She knew that her friend was good at finding loopholes in her promises.
Why was Destiny rolling her eyes at her? Mia couldn't help it that she sucked at magic and preferred the muggle way of doing things. It's just how she was. At her friend's words, it was Mia's turn to roll her eyes and she tugged the Slytherin up onto the top deck. "You would just love that wouldn't you? I bet you could eat that whole cake with your hands tied behind your back."
Actually that would be fun to watch. Destiny could enter one of those muggle eating competitions and win by a mile. Down the gangplank, she walked with her friend by her side. "How fast do you think you can eat that cake?"

Time to enlighten Mia. Destiny could think of quite a few scenarios where stealing wouldn't be considered wrong. Or, they wouldn't be wrong to her. She just hoped her friend didn't want to hear them all. They'd be on the ship forever. "Well, what if someone steals something from you? You'd want to go and steal it back, right? That wouldn't be wrong. And what if someone is hurting an animal or creature and you go and tell someone about it, but they don't believe you because you are known to make up stories? Are you just going to let the animal get hurt or will you steal it away from them?" Yeah, yeah. She promised. She wouldn't steal or borrow an animal. Pfft, Hufflepuffs.
Now why was Mia rolling her eyes!? Destiny was tempted to tell the girl her eyeballs were going to fall right out of her head, but since she had just done the same thing, Mia wouldn't believe her. "I always wanted to die an epic death." And what is more epic than death by chocolate!? Nothing.
Her eyebrows raised higher and higher as the conversation went on, and she was too busy thinking about eating the whole chocolate cake with her hands behind her back, eyes closed and whatever else there was to notice Mia practically dragging her off the ship. But even if she was aware, she wouldn't have cared. Her friend was doing all the work for her. "Four minutes. Five if you want me to lick the plate clean."

| Anyone? ^_^ ¼ of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pls In this nice spring weather, Evan didn't really have much to do. Of course, he could have done some homework, and it would be for good too, but frankly, he hadn't felt like it. He certainly wasn't going to work in this wizarding world; if he wasn't accepted by Everton, he'd go as down as a team aiming for staying in the Premier League. Then he'd build his way up to the top teams. Thus, he felt very little motivation to study... setting a bad example, but no one needed to know now, no?
Walking up to the ship, he stood back a few metres and looked at it. So this was the ship they talk about everywhere, was it? This was the first time he was to discover it... if there was anything left to really 'discover'; he had heard it all, he just never saw lively.
He walked around it for a while, inspecting through every angle from outside. It was a nice ship, so it looked, but of course it looked quite old. Or maybe it looked old because it stayed under-water for some time? The prefect could not tell, of course. To see inside, he started mounting it. His personal football practice could wait for today... he just couldn't leave the castle without seeing this ship. |

Daichi adjusted his too big for his face sunglasses because he thought they were cool and walked towards the ship he had been eager to explore. He heard things about it but he felt like he wanted to see it for himself. Despite that the place looked really creepy and..haunted and..mommy~!
WHY did he even come here in the first place?! He hoped that he would be cool to be able to walk this plank and explore but instead he found himself clutching the plushed duck he always had with him and jumping with every creak the ship made. What if it was cursed? He didn't want to be cursed!
Another sound made him look up and he saw a figure mounting the ship. He saw that the figure was Evan and he sighed in relief. "Prefectiiiee~!" Daichi waved his free arm and quickly ran towards the seventh year. Clinging on to his arm as soon as he was in reach. "YAY! Now i don't get cursed alone~!" he said as he looked up, the sunglasses half falling off his face.

"It's safe, Daichi!" he said, biting his lips not to laugh at the boy's appearance. Those sunglasses were too big for his face not to laugh. And the overall attitude of sliiiight scaredness... "Is someone scared?" He smirked. This was just a ship! |

He brought his attention back to Evan and noticed he was..was he holding back his laughter? "Y-Yah! d-don't laugh! whats so funny?" he asked, the sunglasses sliding off his nose slightly.

Gwen had nothing to do since she had already finished all the possible homework. In other words, she had a lot of time to kill, so she decided to do something interesting. The first place that came to her mind was the old ship, so she headed in that way. Once she was on board she looked around, hoping to see some familiar faces. Meh, not really… Now- what shall I do?, the ravvie asked herself. Anything will do, as long as I keep my balance, don’t fall on the floor, or worse… off the ship.

Anything will do, as long as I keep my balance, don’t fall on the floor, or worse… off the ship. So this is it. The old ship. Apart from the creaking sound of the floor, it was not as old as Louisa expected. Maybe the muggles museums she visited in her long thirteen years of life made her accustomed with the old stuff? Meh. Never mind that.
The wand being held tightly in one hand had nothing to do with the fact that there might be some scary stuff aboard, no way. Louisa was a girl of science she shouldn't fear such sto--
" AAAA!" The girl screamed and jumped three steps backward when she shouldered something.
Or someone.
A girl. A young one was standing before her. Louisa's face turned faint red as she fixed her not-messy uniform. " Oh. Hi." Better playing it cool instead of bursting at the girl for standing there just minding her own business. Today, Louisa didn't want to argue with anyone! The previous fight with Enya and Skye was enough for a lifetime so..

Maybe Evan knew, i mean, he IS a prefect right? and prefects knew EVERYTHING in his mind. "I can't remember my brother telling me about a ship..."
He brought his attention back to Evan and noticed he was..was he holding back his laughter? "Y-Yah! d-don't laugh! whats so funny?" he asked, the sunglasses sliding off his nose slightly. Oh? Evan didn't push the little boy any harder, but he could tell someone was lying greatly. "It's what?" he asked, grinning. Yeah, he liked to tease the boy, and frankly, he gave a lot to be teased about. "No..." he mumbled, now he was more curious as he remembered that fact. "It's associated with several missing professors... I don't know." He certainly didn't figure out the 'missing professors are linked with this' would scare him even more. He was only telling him the rumours, it wasn't like he was behind all these!
When Daichi yelled at him, Evan couldn't hold it any longer and burst into laughers, stopping short on the planks. "It's just... your sunglasses and your scared attitude ...!" He laughed again, bending forward slightly. "If you could see yourself, you'd laugh too." Hahah. |

William kept walking on the sip. He found a board, whoa, looks he could slip on it. Willaim concetrated on the board, pointed his wand at the boeaars and used this spell " Gliss-Say- Oh". The board is smooth now and he walked across the ship more carefully.

He laughed again, bending forward slightly. "If you could see yourself, you'd laugh too." Hahah. Daichi had noticed the tone in Evan's voice. He was mocking him, just because he is a 11 year old doesn't make him stupid! "Nothing..." he mumbled.
Curious, Daichi listened as Evan told him about the missing professors. "i didn't know Professors were missing!" he said in shock. "i do remember the first transfiguration class when a student asked were the other professor was but..i didn't know some were actually MISSING!" and it had something to do with this ship? He knew it was cursed!
The sudden laughter outburst made him jump. He blushed like a tomato and shoved his glasses back. "You have NO taste in sunglasses obviously... And i'm N-NOT scared~!" to prove he wasn't a scardy cat he let go of Evan's arm and walked ahead of them. "I'm going to be a cool, awesome great sexy man that ever lived! " Daichi laughed out loud, trying out his cool laugh but the sound echoed through the ship, making it sound creepy. Daichi quickly ran back to Evan and hid behind him all the while holding his right arm so tightly the blood circulation must be cut off. " B-but i'll let y-you go first, n-nice , right?"

The previous fight with Enya and Skye was enough for a lifetime so.. Now, Gwendolyn- keep your balance!, the girl told herself. Oh great idea I had to come here! I can’t even keep my balance on plane surface all the time- how am I supposed to manage doing this on a wooden-moving-slippery surface? Hmmm??? While she was thinking about all this stupid stuff, she heard someone… screaming? ‘What…?’, she began saying, not even getting a chance to finish. Did you just push me? Oh, great…
As she quickly tried to grab something in order not to fall, she noticed how angry the other girl looked. What? So it was MY fault? Meh, I’m not going to mention it… as long as you do so too. ‘Hi’, Gwen replied grinning, as she held on to some wooden thing that was close to her. Sooo... was this only an accident and we'll move on? Or shall I be nice and talk? Hmm..? Meh, what do I have to loose? 'I'm Gwen, by the way', she finally said. A nd I won't shake your hand right now, if you don't mind... I kind of need it right now. I don't intend to fall over board.

She didn't want to end up killing a girl on this old ship... adding more ghosts to the already haunted ship was a bad bad idea. If it was indeed haunted. " Hey Gwen. I'm Louisa." Being nice and all was an alternative idea, right?
The thirteen year old leaned her back on the ship's edge and grabbed it with both hands extended backward so she could rock her body back and forth slightly. " So.. what brings a kid like you abroad?" She asked with a smirk. That Gwen was indeed around first/second year gap, right? She was a kid then! And a brave one to come to an old Ship by herself, what was wrong with kids these days? *shakes head*

Nothing… you got nothing?, the young Ravenclaw thought as she realized the other girl didn’t reply anything. Awkward silence…. ‘Nice to meet you, Louisa’, Gwen said, trying to look like she would be in the mood of making friends. Then, not knowing what to do, she grinned and waited for Louisa to finish talking. Kidd like me? Come on, give me a break!, Gwen wanted to say, but didn’t. You are not much older then me, though. Hopefully, Louisa wouldn’t start making fun of her just because she was a first year. Yeah, just like almost all the older Ravenclaw students did. ‘I just… Eh….everyone kept telling me how great the old ship is, I just wanted to check it out’, she finally replied. ‘And it’s not so phenomenal. Just a lot of old wooden pieces.’ That, and I am also scared to death of the possibility I’m going to see a mouse…

People told her it was cool and she wanted to check it out? " Is that it? You're quite brave to come up here all by yourself." the smirk came back and Louisa was feeling like scaring some younger kids Enya would be proud, " You know.. with all the ghosts roaming around and other creatures that kidnapped the professors." She was totally lying but she had her theories. Even if they were illogical.
" What year are you in?" She asked in a sweet tone that should be used with kids. Her mom wouldn't approve of her superior attitude. Yet, Gwen reminded her of Danny so.. " I am a third year and I feel I should've brought some precaution before climbing up here." She looked above the girl's shoulder and stared thoughtfully- dramatic effects that gave the situation some seriousness.

FAIIIL Aww, someone was offended! Evan watched him mumble something with amusement. Surely he wasn't that mad, was he? Nah... he was still here, so that meant he wasn't very heartbroken... hopefully.
Oh, now he was worried! "I'm sure it's nothing," he tried to reassure him. "I mean, this is magic and Hogwarts... they're probably off to a quiet, peaceful life. I wouldn't want to be bothered too after a craziness at Hogwarts..." He understood them perfectly. Although he liked the castle, he just couldn't wait for that day he'd be graduated at last. He needed some normal things, it was almost to the point that he'd be bored without adventure in his next work and family life.
Bahaha, his failed show of confidence raised another laughter from the 18-year-old boy. "Yeah, sure... you following?" he said, looking at the kid with a smirk as he walked further into the ship. Now, where to see first? "Shall we find the ghost of the captain first?" Because, y'know, this probably sunk... and captains were the last to leave their ship, no? His ghost had to be somewhere here... Hmm... |

Now, where to see first? "Shall we find the ghost of the captain first?" Because, y'know, this probably sunk... and captains were the last to leave their ship, no? His ghost had to be somewhere here... Hmm... For some reason, Daichi squeezed Evan's arm even harder at the mention of the ghost of the captain. And for another odd reason it wasn't because he was scared, it was actually because he was a bit excited. "Do you think we'd be able to see the ghost? I mean, i know they are there but people just don't see them...oh right, wizarding world" he laughed softly and slapped his forehead. "Forgot"
Daichi followed Evan with shuffling footsteps, each step made the boards under them creak. He hoped it was save enough and that they wouldn't fall through an hole or something. Daichi couldn't swim so well...Evan would save him right? if he fell in the water..RIIIGHT? "Do you think pirates had been here?" he asked, hoping that Evan knew what pirates were because he would look like a fool lecturing an seventh year. He took his sunglasses off and placed them on the collar of his shirt. "Do you think we can go inside the ship? I mean not just on deck?" He asked and released Evan's arm. "A-a-and what if we do see the captain's ghost?" he suddenly asked , the stuttering coming up again. "W-What if it attack us? i-i don't know any useful battle spells" His eyes widened and he shook his head. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea. But ,no. He had to continue because he didn't want Evan to think he was some kind of kid. Well, technically he IS a kid but anyone would get it. "Licorice wand?" the first year asked and grabbed two out of his pockets. Yes he actually offered a piece of candy on a haunted ship...
