Strong iron gates prevent students from getting out while making sure anything unwanted stays out. They can only be opened by the Professors and Staff and are always open on Hogsmeade weekends to allow for passage to the village.

Okay, there was something between Simon and Lexi..... older kids were weird.
That was........odd. Cove blinked, yeah, older kids are strange.

Simon looked surprise as Lexi turned on him. It seemed the way to be noticed by her was to get her upset. "Me? I was just hear helping Madam Donovan and Mr. Stryker. You're the one acting like I'm not even here. Not to mention acting all high and mighty with your wish never to touch a hammer" he said as calmly as he could. Sighing he took a deep breath not to actually get mad himself but then again she was leaving so it should calm down for if it werent her, it would be him. Helping the staff members was one thing, getting barked at by someone other then the nearby dog was another.

Turning back to Cove, Simon looked appologetic. "Don't mind her, but I appologize for myself." Then realizing her earlier question he added for her benefit. "We were making something special for the library."
Lexi wasn't DEAF funny enough, she COULD hear other people talking from a short distance away BELIEVE IT OR NOT.
Turning to face Simon with a smile on her face she said, "Silly me. Speaking to you is pretending you don't exist. How could I not have known that? And I have no wish to touch a hammer because I can use magic instead... I am not sure how that is me acting high and mighty, but then again, you seem to be telling me things I was not aware of so you MUST be right." Giving a little shrug of her shoulders and a giggle she turned once more and began to flit back to Madame Donovan. They did have some catching up to do after all... not to mention she had gotten her a gift while she was in France over Christmas.

"Oh, don't worry. I have nine brothers and sisters, this is normal behavior to me." Thankfully she was the youngest, so she was aloud to say that older kids were weird. "What's wrong between you two?"

you live your life just once, so don't forget about a thing called love.
Chad sighed. This was not happening while being in front of himself and Kimber. With much inner force, he put down the hammer. "Mademoiselle! Monsieur! I am glad that you wish to assist, but if all you are going to do is bicker and fight, then I would much rather prefer you both to leave. Now, are you going to help or not?"

Cove blinked. Why was she so mean to him?
Simon decided to stay quiet after Lexi turned back around for he was likely only to get into more hot water by her and the people surrounding them. At Cove's question he meerly shruged not fully knowing what was the real issue between himself and Lexi.

He bit his lip as the Groundskeeper called them out, reminding them that there were staff members present. "I appologize Monsieur Stryker...Madame Donovan," he said adding his head of house not wanting her to be disappointed in him. "Sorry, sir. What would you like me to do?" Cove asked the man. Monsieur Stryker wasn't it?

Cove shrugged her shulders back at Simon. Whatever.
Lexi turned to look at Mister Stryker for a moment and really THOUGHT about it. Did she want to stay and help with that boy throwing death glares or rolling his eyes or whatever else he decided to do?
No. She didn't.
"Actually I think I will be on my way, Sir," she said very politely. She wouldn't apologize for calling Simon out... he was really like a thorn in her side at the moment and she had no idea what his glitch was. So better to seperate herself from the problem.
Waving at Madame Donovan she said, "We will have to catch up some other time. Clearly." Shrugs and waves and Lexi was on her way back up the path toward the castle.

Much like this one, actually. Umm, OUCH. She was prodding and poking him now!? Something screamed at him that this girl was a Slytherin. Which was very, very bad. Because, even though he also was a Slytherin, he was no match for an opposing one. Nope, not at all. "Gerroff me." He muttered, almost shyly.
Jamie was still giggling until he saw the blatant RAGE in the girls face. Oh, Merlin's Beard. He had made a mistake with this one, hadn't he?
*GULP*
Was that her WAND she was pointing at him?!
"I-I-I-I'll tell on you." His hand quivered by his pocket which held his own wand. Even if he had the guts to pull it out, he would always fail because he sucked at magic. He couldn't even perform the levitating charm correctly, gosh darnit.
Whatever? BAHAHA. Was that seriously all he could come up with? A measly whatever in reply. Well he was certainly no match for her. The small brunette cackled at his response, smirking to herself in victory. "No one does that anymore" she rolled her eyes, flicking her hair back. "That is NONE of your business" she glared at him, snatching her hand away so that the flask was hidden behind her back. HMPH. "Aww is that all you diddums could come up with?" she asked pulling a pout. She could use this boy, Delilah was about to have some fun!
She shrugged her shoulders at his threat, she honestly didn't care if she was told on, like the Professors would do anything to her. "Go ahead but who are they more likely to believe and innocent little brunette or an annoying little boy" she asked, pulling an angelic face.
"Anyway, YOU are going to help me. Did you hear about that red cross on the fifth floor corridor? I reckon that X marks the spot and you know what that means right?" Probably not. He didn't look like the brightest spark on the planet. "It means that there must be treasure in this school somewhere. And YOU will be the one to help me find it, you like treasure right?" she asked.
Christopher walked off from his and Cass's point of separate paths to their next classes, the whole wedding thing still in his mind. It wasn't weird to him that he was going with Cass or anything, but it was that Elyon had to bring a date that bothered him. He needed a goofy, rather nerdy kid that would just hang out and not try anything on her for her to attend with. Which was the exact opposite from the kid walking in front of him.
Christopher had seen the guy before, around the Great Hall, the corridors, and the Common Room- even in the dorms. But he hadn't ever taken a liking to the kid, no matter how "cool" he was. The third year wasn't the judgmental type, but although Christopher hadn't ever spoken to the kid, he most certainly knew what kind of guy he was. He'd seen it all the time back home at his Muggle village. This kid was rather demeaning and sexist towards women, hitting on girls left and right. Including his sister. And his Veela girlfriend. So naturally, the Gryffindor didn't take a liking towards the first year.
But what he saw next filled him with a mix of shock and pity. The poor bloke was crying. So being the goody two shoes he was Christopher dashed over to see what was wrong. He'd just lost his dad, but hadn't cried. He'd felt much too upset for that. But he thought it was pretty brave of the kid to be just crying, not caring what anyone else thought. It was rather admirable. So Christopher tapped the poor kid's shoulder and asked, "Erm, hey, mate.... Are you.... Are you alright?" He was just being his awkward self, but he sensed the kid feeling a little embarrassed to be around a loser like him. Which he was used to.

" " Yes, I am alright" Wiliam told the boy. " I thought I lost a really good freind" William said to him. " My name is Wiliam Starr" he introduced himself to the boy. " Lucky, my friend and I made up " Wiliam explained to the boy. " Haven't I seen you in the Gryffindor Common Room?" Wiliam asked the boy.

....What? Christopher was a little confused when he said he lost a friend. Like he'd lost his father. That would've made sense to the third year. But this just confused Christopher to no ends. But the boy was crying because he and his friend were fighting? Selina and him had fought all the time and he didn't cry! Nor did she! So the
thirteen year old concluded that the kid wasn't just a player, he was also really sensitive. A very strange mix indeed. And thiugh he'd never admit he thought this, it was a rather good trick for getting girls. Luckily he just kept his face calm so the younger guy didn't read his thoughts, and he smiled an said, "Well I'm really glad you've reformed a friendship. And yes, I'm sure I've seen you as well in the Gryffindor Common Room." He shook back the kid's hand and said, "It's good to meet you, mate, erm, I mean William. I'm Christopher James."
"Agreed." Christopher said with a laugh. He could feel is stomach rumbling and was sure any more cookie talk wouldn't be such a good idea.
"Erm, Serpent Sidekicks.....?" Christopher trailed off, unsure of whatthe heck that even was. Then she explained it, which helped a little. "We don't do that in Gryffindor, atleast I'm pretty sure we don't... I don't know."
"Hey, that's a pretty good idea!"He exclaimed getting rather excited, but his face soon fell. "Wait, I don't know..... It feels like I'm setting her up on a date, and I don't want that, it feels wrong. I just want her to have a friendly kid hang out with her, not like a date." This was going to be harder than he thought....

Cass smiled as Christopher considered her idea. There was something else that was bothering him, she could tell...but right now, she didn't have the time to worry about it. She checked her wrist watch and frowned, if didn't leave soon, she would be late for class.
"I'll see you around, ok?" She said as she turned towards the door, getting ready to speed off down the halls to her next class, then at a last minute decision, she kissed him swiftly on the cheek and said "Do feel better." before running off. crap, she was going to be late.

She was CACKLING! Like a.... witch. Well, she was a witch but you know what he means! No one does it anymore, huh? That didn't mean it was any less effective, right? Jamie stuck his fingers in his ears and bellowed, "LA LA LA LA, CAN'T HEAR YOOOOU." Bwahhaa, YES, annoy the girl until the point of her departure. There were no flaws in his plan.
Bit defensive over that flask, wasn't she? Jamie's eyes widened as he came to the realization that she really did have poison-evil-juice inside it.
o________O
Jamie snorted at the word 'innocent'. This girl was like a real Slytherin. And by that, he meant an actual snake that killed people. It wouldn't shock him if this girl went and killed him. Not an innocent bone in her body, he could tell that, even if he didn't know her. "Annoying little boy? They will believe me if I put on the water works." The third year demonstrated his skills to forcefully cry right there, and held his hands over his eyes.
"Th-th-that girl w-was about to curse me with her w-wan-d." He sniffed, rubbed his eyes, then took his hands away to grin at her. End of performance. Give him an acting contract somebody.
"What." He stated, rather than questioned. Why on Earth would he help such a mean snake. "I have no idea about some red cross..." Nooo, she was playing a trick on him! She was going to lead him to a trap door which would lock him in the Dungeons forever. Glaring still, the third year gave a shrug at the mention of treasure. "I guess so. But if we found treasure, YOU wouldn't give me any." She'd keep it to herself! Yea, Jamie may be a bit slow on things, but he wasn't an idiot.

*Blink*
This child was a freak!
O____O
So now he had his fingers in his gunky ears and was singing or screeching rather that he couldn't hear her. She looked at him with an unimpressed expression and one eyebrow raised incredibly high, before using her wand to stick an apple in his mouth. There. That was SO much better wasn't it? Peace and quiet. "Oh really? Because I can't seem to be able to hear you either" she cackled once again, rather proud of herself.
The Slytherin tucked her flask back into her pocket where it was always kept away from prying eyes. Nobody touched that bottle, not even professors were allowed to go near it, because it was HERS. They wouldn't like it if she went around touching other peoples property would they?
Oh come on. She may not be innocent, in fact she was far from it, but the Brunette was small with big brown eyes and just pulling an innocent face would probably work. "But usually the girls are the innocent ones, no body believes big mean boys now do they?" she pouted, giving him puppy dog eyes until he started crying. Snort. She could do better than that. She made her eyes water, a tear streaming down her cheek and her bottom lip wibbling.
"H-h-he threatened me, he s-said that if I didn't do what he t-told me he'd steal me and lock me away, I had to defend myself" she sniffed, continued to wibble her bottom lip. "Y-you've always taught us, to be wary, I knew that if I didn't do anything to defend myself I would've had no chance" POW! Two could play at that game. She smirked afterwards twirling her hair in her finger.
"Well apparently on the fifth floor corridor there's a massive red cross on the walls. Everybody's talking about it, where have you been?" she asked rolling her eyes. "And with that great big ship in the middle of the Lake it could only mean one thing, there is treasure around Hogwarts. Now I don't know about you but I want to get to it before anyone else figures it out. The quicker we get there, the bigger the share" she stated simply. She had always been quite advanced for her age, a mind and brain far greater than her appearance. There was no need to glare, small child, she was only stating a matter of fact. "Well it depends how much help YOU give me doesn't it? So what do you say, up for finding some buried treasure?" she asked smirking and holding her hand out. Deal.. Or NO deal.

Deal.. Or NO deal.
"LA LA LA LA -" Abrupt halt! The girl had done something and now an apple filled his entire mouth. Preparing to cook him up in a cauldron and serve him with side toppings, was she? Jamie spat the apple out and in her direction. Unfortunately, it didn't have enough impact to hit her face, and it only managed to knock her foot. Drat. "You're really mean." So mean. Jamie hadn't met anyone like her.
Aha. That was the thing in question. "I ain't a big boy, though. You're taller than I am." He pointed rudely at her. Were teachers really going to believe that a shortie like Jamie would bully a big, horrible snake like her? Nao.
What was she DOING? And she was LYING, TOO!
"She put an a-a-pple in my mouth and said.. th-that she was going to cook me in one of Professor Lafay's c-cauldrons." He paused, "THEN, she said she was... going to... EAT ME." He broke down in an audible cry. This was a battle now.
She also had a freaky flask full of poisonous juice, but he would probably mention that a bit later, because she seemed VERY defensive over it.
The girl's revelation about treasure being around Hogwarts shocked Jamie and also scared him a bit. "Maybe there are PIRATES here, too." Oh Merlin.... Jamie Keaton was no match for a pirate. They could kill him from just looking at him. But if she could reassure him that none of those were about, then SURE, he would love to go looking for treasure. Who didn't want treasure?! She really did want his help, didn't she? Jamie raised an eyebrow at her, then shrugged. "All right, sure." He took her held out hand and shook it. Now where?

Nika skipped towards the front of the castle and looked around at the snow. When would winter end!? The season seemed like it was never-ending and that only made Nika want spring to come even more. It was her favorite season after all. She looked around and looked back at the castle admiring it's beauty.

Selina walked along the Front Gate and reveled in the snow. She loved the soft flakes that danced across all of her red hair and threw her head back in the snow. When she looked straight back at the Gate and saw Nika. Nika was also admiring the weather. She ran over to fellow Gryffindor and said, "Nika!"

Nika was staring at the sky day dreaming about the weather when someone calling her name. Who could it be!? She blinked a few times as she saw someone running towards her. She saw the red hair and smiled. "Hey Selina!" She beamed as she kicked around some snow underneath her feet. "What's new?"
