Macy blinked as a boy introduced himself to her. WHAT. She was in the middle of a CRISIS and this boy was asking her if she knew what the trolley had to eat. *facepalm* "No. I don't know," she said with a dismissive tone, before turning her back on him and looking up and down the hall. No where to be found. UGHH. She needed that bag. I mean, it wasn't like there was anything important in it, just a couple of school notebooks and some gum and-- ... her wand.

Well. There went another one. Mum wasn't going to be happy about this. And to think, she'd actually had her hopes up that she'd be able to keep this one.

"Sorry, I've got to go," she told what's-his-face. YEEEEAH, she hadn't been listening when he'd said his name. She was too busy FREAKING OUT. Ugh. So now she had a bag to track down... She'd better start asking around.

Jai as usual was hungry. So, with that as an additional issue on his mind he came to the food trolley. It was what he was grateful for to have on the train. As he approched there was the expected line. Joining it, shoved his hands in his pockets as if to anchor him against the swirling thought in his head.

'When did all this become a gray area?' he thought to himself.

Ahem! Whatever, it's not like Kita was excited for this moment or anything. It's not like she was running to be one of the first to get her favourite sweets in case they ran out. And it's not like she had her eager eyes shifting to the compartment doors every now and then in case she heard the food trolley.

Great(!) Just as she finally reached the line, there seemed to be a huge queue. So this meant that she had to wait AGES just to be able to look at what she wanted to buy. Anyhow people took her chocolate frogs...

Wait... Wasn't that- "Jai?" she asked, tapping the boy in front of her on the shoulder.

Simultaneously, Jai heard someone say his name and felt someone tap him on the shoulder. Turning around he saw Kita."Hey. What's up other than getting something for ya tummy?" he greeted with a smile.

The moment he saw her a thought struck."I need to ask you something. It's a little personal." he said, with a sheepish look.

Kita looked Jai and smiled back, secretly glad that it was actually him. How embarrassing would it be if it turned out that it wasn't actually Jai but some other random guy? "Hi!" she said, brightly, "Er... Nothing much. Not looking forward to coming back next year for the last term." Such a depressing thought! "How about you?" she asked.

Kita blinked. Ask her something? Some personal? But... "Sure, go ahead. I'm all ears," she said, a small smile on her face. Wait... it wasn't anything bad was it?

Jai chuckled and said,"Of course I am, I love Hogwarts besides I just want to finish school and start living my life the way I want to."

He looked about a bit and lowered his voice, so that only she could hear."Well, it's not really a question. It's more like a statement. I like Caroline but I can't tell her. I don't know what to do." she said. He sighed as it felt like a weight shifting in his chest but I hadn't completely lifted. He looked at her with an uncharacteristically nervous expression, with his hands sweating in his pockets. Since she was her best friend, Jai thought maybe she could give him some advice. Something that he desperately needed before he burst and ruined everything, for everyone.

"Sorry, I bothered you" Wiliam told the girl. Willaim gets something to eat and goes looking for Witsy.

Oh? Living his own life? "And what are your plans for living your own life Mr Pierce?" she asked, folding her arms. Yes, that didn't make any sense. Pfft! She didn't care.

Statement? Wait... WHAT?! He likes Caroline?!

Kita blinked. Twice. This was HUGE! Wait... He doesn't know what to do? So that meant she had to say something to him? Like... give him advice on this? How was she meant to do that when she hasn't...

"Er... Boy, this is huge!" she said, "Er... she's single so i'd suggest, go for it before someone else does!" NO! No, no, no! "No, wait... Wait to see if she throws you any signs that says that she likes you back," 'Cause, you know, that's important, "Something like... if she looks into your eyes deeply or... or if she twirls her hair." Something she had been doing a lot during the end of term feast. "I hope she does have feelings for you," she said, "You two would make a cute couple." Even if Jai was Carter's best friend who just so happened to be Caroline's ex.

Boy, this was going to cause a lot of drama wasn't it?

Smiling, he replied,"Work at the ministry in Greece. Where I was born there. My parents travel ten months out of the year so they wouldn't miss me much."

Jai groaned at his frustration."I didn't know who else to talk to. I'm sorry for dropping this on you. It's just that, I know she's still into Carter. I just don't want to see her get hurt again. I don't think I could stand by and let that happen. Kita I can't rush her, it'll just push her away."

He ran a hand through his jet black hair before looking at Kita, who said something quite interesting,"Look for signs, huh? We always look each other in the eye when we talk." he said. Yup, he was a guy and was very dense when it came to girls.

Kita's last words finally registered and almost instantly Jai went red at the ears,"You think so?"

Kita's eyebrows shot up. Ministry in Greece? "That is pretty impressive. You'll have a lot of fun there, it's a nice country," she said, "Oh! Maybe they can come and visit you some time?" 'Cause, otherwise, that's just sad!

Great(!) Now he was groaning! Kita hoped it wasn't at something she had said. Oh right! Sorry? Why in the name of merlin does he have to be sorry? "How do you know she's still into Carter?" she asked curiously, "That's cute. You should tell her that." Nod, nod. Girls love cute stuff. Eh, most do... Caroline being one of them. "Then... don't rush her," she said, "Just... tell her that you don't mind waiting. Or that she can take her time. Whatever, as long as you let her know that you don't want to rush into things."

Wait... they WHAT?! This. Was. PRECIOUS! "That's sign number 1!" she said, fighting the urge to squeal, "Does she twirl her hair when she talk to you? Or... or wrinkle her nose like a guinea pig?" Do guinea pigs wrinkle their noses?

"I know so," she said, a huge smile on her face.

Jai laughed."Yes they will." he said.

Sighing,"I just know. We do talk." he said. It was interesting to see and hear Kita's reaction to all this. He chuckled and said,"I'm not so sure. I know I'm gonna say something completely idiotic and go really red in the face and that's a rare occurrence." Jai sighed again and said,"Maybe you're right. I mean you are her best friend. You know her better than I do. Could you help me find something to say. I just know I'm going trip over my own tongue."

"No. That I remember."he said. Jai looked at Kita with an expression so profound, he didn't need a mirror to see it."I might sound crazy but I just want her to be happy. Even if it's without me."

Oh! Right... Yeah... Kita should have realised that Jai and Caroline would talk... Way to go Lewis! Idiotic? "Pfft! No, you're not!" she said, "You're a man now, believe in yourself! You can do this!" That was rich coming from her. Wait... did she know Caroline better than Jai? Seriously? The girl who had given her best friends heels for Christmas when it turns out that the girl didn't even like heels? "Yes, i'll help. But..." Now what was it? "The only thing i can say is that is has to come from your heart. Just... tell her how you feel. Write it all out beforehand and then practise." Like a speech! Or maybe not... did Caroline like speeches?

Oh? Note to self: look out for these said signs passing between Caroline and Jai... Kita looked up at the expression on Jai's face. It was... profound? Was that right? No, but it was his words that caught her off guard. What? Who can look crazier than her? Oh right, back to the problem. "That's so cute!" she said, "She still deserve to know." Just in case the boy decided not to tell her.

Jai had to smile at Kita's proclamation on his behalf. He was now sure he made the right decision to talk to Kita. "You are rather wise Kita." he said with a smile. He would speak to her from the place where he couldn't fake it.
"Thanks so much Kita. This means so much to me." he said as relief flowed through him.

He looked up to see the line moving."You what,I'm going to buy you some chocolate frogs, if you don't mind."he said, as he smiled at her.
