Cody looked up at saw Ness. "Hey Ness", he said nicely. "How are you?", he added. Ness did look a bit tired like Cody did but that was just school. Homework and more homework.

"Oh, um, sure," Kurumi nodded as she removed the leather strap from around her neck. She held the camera there for a moment just to examine it herself. No that she really knew what anything was besides the lens and the button you pushed to make it take a picture. "Here you go," she smiled nervously.

Fallon smiled at the young Gryffindor as she handed over her camera. Fallon took it and looked it over. It had been months since she used her wizarding camera, so it was somewhat foreign to her. She had become obsessed with using her Muggle camera, as that's what she was going to be using next fall. Anyways...back to the Wizarding Camera. "You see this here-" she pointed to front of the lens. "-these numbers are on the focus ring-which is just a fancy word for the thing that focuses-you turn it as you look into the viewfinder...and you stop once the image looks the way you want it to." She turned to Kurumi. "Get me so far?"

"Im doing ok!" said Ness truthfully, as she wasn't in the greates shape at the moment, being so tired all the time. "How about you?" she asked smiling tiredly. She then yawned, trying not to fall asleep.

Kurumi watched as Fallon fussed with the camera. Although, 'fussed' wasn't really the right word. Wasn't fussed more when you were trying to fix something that was wrong or dealing with something that you didn't really want to deal with? Kurumi could tell from the spark in the older girl's eyes that the latter most certainly wasn't the case.

Kurumi's quill flew to her parchment as she jotted down a few notes based on what Fallon had just explained. "Focus ring...turn and look through..." Kurumi looked up for a moment. "Is the viewfinder that thing you look through? It looks like a window?" Silly question, she knew. But, better to ask, right?

Fallon grinned as Kurumi took down notes. It felt great to be able to teach someone something. It was something Fallon really enjoyed. "Yes the viewfinder is the thing that looks like a window." It was basic camera knowledge, but it was never wrong to ask easy questions. Knowing the camera you were using was very important in photography. Fallon had learned that rather quickly.

"Anything else you want to know?" She was here for help. Plus, it gave her something to do that she liked and was helping someone else to like even more.

Good, she had at least gotten that part right. Kurumi decided that the best way to figure out if she had fully understood Fallon's instructions would be to give the camera a quick test run. Looking around the area, Kurumi decided that the door handle looking most appealing and she skipped over towards it. Holding the viewfinder up to her eye, Kurumi adjusted the lens area thing until the knob came into focus. Hey! That wasn't all that difficult. "I suppose it will just take practice to focus on things quickly," she said, nodding a bit as she tried to focus the lens on an object further away. She certainly wasn't up to par for taking pictures at Quidditch matches yet.

Kurumi snapped a quick shot of the almost empty hallway. She was sure that Yearbook could use a few pictures of campus for whatever reason.

"I think...I may be alright?" she asked rather than said. She really wasn't sure what all went into taking a picture and she hadn't really been able to talk with Treyen about that. Which made her a little sad...

"I've been busy and tired. I'm working my mind around the clock", he answered laughing a bit. He took out his bottle of water and had a little drink. "What should we talk about?", he asked.

"Shame!" Ness a little worried for her friend. "Um..Did you watch the quiditch match?"Asked Ness smiling at Cody then started playing with her hair.

Fallon watched as Kurumi took practice pictures. It was easy to start off with something simple, inside, and close-up already. It got rid of the zoom issues and all that stuff. Fallon nodded at Kurumi's statement. "It does, but I'm sure you'll get the hang of it." It took Fallon awhile to master that. It wasn't impossible though.

Fallon watched as she took a picture of the hallway. It really was a nice artistic shot...and it would look nice in the yearbook.

Fallon chuckled. "If you come across any problems, don't be afraid to ask." She figured the young Gryffindor could figure things out. That's how most people learned anyways. They were taught basics and figured things out for themselves. Fallon looked down at her own camera. "I was just going outside to shoot some pictures with the snow and stuff. You can join me if you want to."

"Nope, I actually didn't", he said. "Didn't Hufflepuff play in the last Quidditch match?", he asked a bit unsure. He hadn't seen any Quidditch matches yet this term.

"Oh Yeah we actually won!" said Nessie still a bit excited over the match. "It was against Slytherin. " Nessie smiled as she remembered watching the match thinking they were going to loose all they won on the last minute!

Pulling her scarf around her neck, Thea leant against the staircase as she waited for Chris. Rubbing her hands together, she pulled her robes more tightly around her, sighing. Her dark grey eyes scanned the entrance hall. She was alone.. very alone. Br. It was coldddd!

Smiling as she looked at the rest of the corridor through the lens finder and she couldn't help but giggle softly. This wasn't all that bad, why hadn't she been able to figure this out on her own? It certainly would have helped if her oldest brother hadn't taken the manual and thrown it away. Told her that she read too much as it was and learning something through experience wouldn't kill her.

"Thank you so much, Fallon," she smiled. She peeked around the girl and out the partly opened door where she could see a thick layer of snow covering the ground. She had forgotten how much she enjoyed winter at Hogwarts. Sure, it snowed in her hometown back in Japan, but this snow just felt different. It wasn't as delicate and it was much more welcoming. "I'd love to!"

"That's good", he said with a smile. "Do you think you'll ever try out for your house team?", he asked. Cody didn't know how good Ness was a Quidditch. She could of been good.

"I think Next year!" said Ness she was going to try this year, but with everything that happened, she thought it be best to wait till next year. "How about you?" she asked, she really didn't know who played for Griffindor at all.

"Even if you just get on as a reserve, that's still pretty good", he repiled. "I'm not sure. I haven't really been into Quidditch that much", he answered. Cody didn't even know how many matches Gryffindor had won this term.

Vindictus hustled down the stairs and was the first to arrive. All he had to do was wait on the others. The doors leading to the Great Hall were open and he saw that the four tables all had plenty of room to sit. But which table to sit at? Hmm....

Simon soon followed having been keeping pace at the man's shoulder. He still wasn't entirely certain of things especially with the other group and it wouldn't do to not be around to assist Vindictus if Merlin forbid he needed it. Stepping of the last stair, he silently stood awaiting the next decision on movement.

Lexi came bouncing along behind El Cappytain and the others with a smile on her face. Mmmm. She needed foodstuffs and all that and to be honest she felt like a bit of a rebel for having ducked out from all the mess to go have late night snacks with Vindictus. Heheh. SUCH. A. REBEL.

"Where we gunna sit, sir? Hehehe. The Staff table perhaps?" Because THAT would be total win.

"I was thinking that we could table hop," grinned Vindictus. "And we could start with the Gryffindor table, since you're the first two down here."

His stomach growled loudly.

"Me sees a bowl of juicy red apples and I smell the sweet scent of strawberry shortcake. Let us commandeer the table of the Lion!"

Table hopping. She could dig it. Nodding her head she waited for her Cappytain to lead the way. SHE listened to her captain... she was not a sorry turncoat like Salander and his crew of losers.

Sniffing the air a bit she grinned and said, "Me thinks there be a roast duck in there wif me name on it." That's right DUCK. ROAST DUCK. And potatoes... and really anything she could get her grubby little hands on that wasn't alive.
