"I am" Dani smiled before sighing and moving to give Cove a friendly hug- "Wow, twelve people! I'm sure there's like... always trouble!" she laughed as she smiled reassuringly at Cove. "I can't wait to meet them all- that's gonna be awesome!" she said softly.

"Haha- yeah you do have a point there..." she smirked a little- "My parents were so stupid with me and my twin's name- I mean, Danielle and Daniel- what?!" she laughed, rolling her eyes, although she doubted her parents had even thought over her name, pushing everything her Mum had ever said to the back of her mind.

Cove smiled and hugged Dani back. "Well including my parents there are twelve of us." She said laughing. "Always! It's never ending." Cove exclaimed. "I can't wait to meet your family! They sound like so much fun!"

"See? I don't think parents think about everything the child will have to go through before naming their child. They like a name and they use it." Cove said moving her arms with her words. "They don't think about what kind of nicknames we're gonna have. Like Robert can be Bob and William can be Bill. It's ridiculous!"

Dani smiled- "I can imagine! And aww, thanks- yeah, my family will love you" she said with a little encouraging nod. She wondered who would be there over summer- James, Luke, Lana, Dan, Connor, Dallas... she especially hoped Dallas would turn up.

"Oh completely" Dani rolled her eyes- "My name's normal, it's just the fact that it's so like my brother's!" she frowned before it quickly changed to a little smirk. "So, how did your finals go? I did my OWLs- eugh, i'm sure I failed" she said sadly.

Cove giggled. "My finals? They went okay. I doubt you failed, Dani. I would have rather done OWLs than finals. I'm a Gryffindor that likes to study. I take pride in good grades." Cove said smiling.

"Ooooohhhh, d'ya wanna learn how ta surf while at my place?" Cove asked excitedly.

"Ahh, see- I wish I loved studying... and I'm pretty... okay on a surfboard- I'm not great though" Dani laughed as she pushed back her hair- "It will be so fun to surf with you though! And maybe... I could teach you a thing or two about the ocean..." she smirked mischeviously, there was only so much she could tell Cove though, or her brother and his Dad would... no, she couldn't even think it.

"I was a bit of a waterbaby" she laughed- "Like I'm guessing you were?" she asked softly, Dani had spent a lot of time at the beach and in the sea since she was little.

"Well, I don't know about what you can teach me. I know a lot, but I bet you know some secrets I don't." Cove said smiling. "Well, is it you balance that have trouble with? I can help with that." She offered. "Yeah I was. My birth mother taught me how to surf. I've been doing it since I could walk I think." She sais laughing.

Dani smirked a little- yeah, she knew some things Cove wouldn't, she'd have to ask before she disclosed all of that though... "Oh yeah- like, i can stay on okay sometimes... but then others I'm just off straight away" she laughed- "Aww! That's so sweet" she smiled at Cove. "Yeah, my brother taught me to swim and took me in the water for the first time and stuff when I was only a few months" she laughed, proud of the big brother she had. "So... what are all the names of your siblings?" Dani couldn't help but tease a little and smirk, Cove was lucky though.

"Okay, we'll fix your balance." Cove said smiling. "Your brother seems to have been there more than your parents. Is that true?" She asked. Dani didn't talk about her parents much. "Oh God. Okay I will warn you ahead of time what everyone is or has. The oldest is Jackson, he has cancer. Sammie is next and she's deaf, but she loves music and then there's Emmett he's our football player, there's nothing wrong with him except he's a bit of an airhead." Cove started. "Um, then there's Micah, he's bind. Haley is as model and is the smartest person in our family. Her and Christina are really close since they both do they same thing. Joss is the singer and Caleb is the DJ. Damond is a year older than me and he's the baseball player." Cove finished. Too many people! "Oh and my parents names are James and Della. They prefer for all of our friends to call them by their firsts names. They said Mr and Mrs Brett makes them feel old."

Dani sighed- "Yeah he was... my parents weren't really there like they should have been... and my Dad... wasn't very nice" she said simply, really not wanting to elaborate on that, it wasn't pleasant.
"Oh- well, I hope Jackson recovers" she said softly, it always made her sad when she heard about people with cancer, it was awful. "Wow, there's certainly a lot of you" she said softly witha little smile. "Aww.... well, I can't wait to meet them all. Haley's a model? And Chrsitina? I want to model, my Mum's a photographer and I used to do bits for her... but to be honest, I love the designing clothes side too" she explained softly as she smiled at Cove.

"Oh, I'm sorry." Cove said quietly. "Well you have your family and your friends and that's all you need. Your uncle seems like he's a great guy." She said smiling slightly. Cove put a hand on Dani's.

"Thanks. He has his ups and downs. My mom gives me weekly updates." She said. "Yeah there are." She said nodding her head. "Really!? Christina likes to design clothes. She and Haley where her designs all the time. I think you'll like them." She said smiling.

Dani nodded and smiled widely- "He is a great guy. A really great guy. He took us all in, bought a big house for us all to live in, made sure everything was perfect, looks after us" she sighed deeply and smiled at Cove. "He'll really like you for sure" she nodded assuredly.

"Aww...I just, I hope he's going to be okay- I really do" she nodded as she smiled reassuringly at Cove. "Gosh, that's so awesome! I can't wait to meet them!" she said excitedly. "Wow, I'm gonna have to chat with them" she smirked.

"I hope you uncle does." Cove said nervously. She smiled at Dani.

"Thanks. He will, he's gotten over it before. He's a fighter. Not kidding, Jackson's a boxer." Cove said smiling. "They will love you! My whole family, they love anyone."

"Wow, well, I can't wait then!" Dani smiled excitedly, this summer was probably going to be better than she had originally thought it would be, which was such a good thing! She had thought it would be... boring to say the least. But she would have Dallas around anyway... hopefully. "Would you mind if I brought my boyfriend along?" she asked, blushing a little as she asked, she hoped Cove wouldn't mind, but, it wouldn't be a big deal if she couldn't take him really.

Cove smiled. Summer was going to be a bigger blast than she originally thought. "Sure he can. Dan and Connor should come too. Wouldn't that be fun?" She asked. They all would have a blast during summer. Plus if Connor came, then she would get to spend more time with. "Hey do wanna take a picture? It's for my album." Cove asked holding up her camera.

Dani smirked- "It would be fun!" she said excitedly with a little nod- "I'll ask them, I'm sure they'll come!" she said softly as she looked at Cove's camera. "Of course! A picture of both of us?" she asked softly with a big smile as she pushed back her curls and stepped back a little. She loved taking pictures- it was fun!

"Awesome!" Cove exclaimed. To both the boys coming and the picture. SHe set up the camera so she could take a picture of them. She scooted closer to Dani and said. "Alright, ready: One, two, smile!" She said smiling and clicked the shutter button. "Unfortunately this is an old camera, and we cant see the picture until I develope it. Good thing is: I know how to use this dinosaur correctly."

Dani smiled at the camera- in her usual adorable way. She smirked and looked at the big camera- "Don't worry, that's awesome. Luke takes a lot of pictures, or at least he used to- and he has all sorts of cameras, old ones, new ones" she said softly as she took the camera to have a bit of a look. Pretty awesome.

Stepping out of the castle and into the courtyard, Ryden took a moment to raise her face to the warm sun and closed her eyes, enjoying the heat. Why couldn't it have been this hot in September, when she'd arrived? Would have spared her the misery and hate she'd felt towards every single living and non-living thing at Hogwarts.

Thankfully, due to some sun and vital vitamin D, she now hated a few less things here. Tugging at her tie to loosen it slightly - it really was hot outside now - the brunette made her way to a bench and gratefully sank down onto it, resting her legs as she plonked her bag down onto the cobbled ground.

It was only after she'd made herself comfortable that she realised this was the very bench that had changed her view about Hogwarts so many months ago, in the dead of winter. A lazy smile crossed her face as she remembered. It had been a good day.

Orlando Renaldi had officially left the Gryffindor tower, in search of Ryden Di Marco. His pocket feeling heavy by the minute while he walked around - not really sure, if his luck would work and bring Ryden in front of him immediately.

After what felt like hours, Orlando's foot steps slowed down as he entered the courtyard. To think, finding her at the place he had first met her. Smiling, he walked over to her and took a seat beside her. "Hello. I am Orlando"

Yes, it had been a good day, that day. Though their last meeting at the Observatory hadn't really gone as planned. He'd been... really weird, and it had annoyed Ryden so much that she hadn't really seen him since. Hmpf. HE was the one who had sprung the 'date' question on her. HE had been the one to start it. It was HIS fault. Not hers. She'd been very willing to just continue leaving him as her only friend her at Hogwarts. This time, it really wasn't her fau-

Squinting in the sunlight at Orlando as he sat down next to her, Ryden raised her eyebrows. Hmm. Apparently, he remembered. "Ryden," she replied back with a half grin, simply looking at him.

Whatever he was going to say, it had better be something more than the way he'd been in the observatory.

All he got was a small grin. Orlando deserved it, of course. His unusual behavior at the tower - which was suppose to be their date. The sixteen year old quickly brushed away the embarrassing thoughts.

"Nice to meet you, Ryden" he spoke - smiling still. Letting his hand reach into his pocket and pulling out a small box, he spoke again: "I have got something for you" His eyes dropped down on the box and then caught her eyes as he held out the box on his palm. "Found it in Hogsmeade, figured you might like it"

"You too," Ryden mumbled, still not as interested as she would normally be in whatever it was that Orlando wanted, until he appeared to take something out of his pocket. Then the brunette's interest piqued. Frowning, Ryden turned fully towards him so that one leg was folded on the bench and eyed him.

Then she eyed the box in his palm. "... You got me a present?" she asked, clearly extremely confused. Was this standard protocol at the end of a Hogwarts year? Or was he feeling bad? Was he trying to BUY her?

HMPF.

"You got me a present at Hogsmeade," Ryden repeated, then folded her arms. "Why? What is it? Because I didn't get you anything," she said, still clearly not totally at grips with the situation and therefore defensive. She'd never gotten a present like this before. . . Usually her presents were asked for, or big wads of money.

Not a white box with a ribbon presented on a palm of a hand with a smile. "And why is this pink?" Pfft. If her eyebrows could any higher her fringe would completely obscure them.

"Really? Why did he stop?" Cove asked. "I use this camera because it's the first one my dad ever got me and it makes the best pictures." She said smiling. "I have a lot too. They're all on display in our bonus room. Along with trpophies and awards." She said smiling. There was also their wall of firsts, well Cove's wall, in that room. But she wasn't going to tell Dani about that until she asked about it.

Orlando wanted to laugh a little. Ryden was so defensive. For some reason, he liked it. Merlin knew, he liked a lot of things about her. When she proceeded to turning toward him completely, Orlando turned too - so they were facing each other easily. "I did" he nodded, hearing her question.

It was so like her to react like this. From the little he knew about her, it just seemed so Ryden like to get all curious and defensive at the same time.

All her questions only amused the sixteen year old. Dropping his gaze from her face, he placed the small box at the knee of her folded leg. "I wanted to get you something. I saw it, I got it. It's not an obligation. So it doesn't mean you had to get me something as well"

He sighed at her last question. "Because girls usually like it." he shrugged. "Do you want me to ..?" he asked, trialling off in the middle as his eyes looked down on the box. Carefully using his two fingers, he pulled the ribbon and let it fall and then using the same two fingers he opened it.

"It's a charm bracelet." he whispered, retreating his hand. "I figured you might want something to remember the things you love." It was so silly, really. But he had been quite sure when he was buying it that she would like it. Right now, he was in doubt though. "I already added a charm that represents the sun" he said, suddenly feeling the warmth if that very same sun on his skin.

The box tickled her as Orlando put it on her knee, but she didn't even dare to touch it, instead choosing to eye him. Once again. Because, really, what he was saying made absolutely no sense. You don't get presents just like that. This wasn't a muggle film. For presents there usually are reasons. Just going into a shop and seeing it wasn't a reason.

"O... k," Ryden said at last, then smiled the ghost of a grin as he said that most girls like pink, and a very Bridget-like sentence came to her head. "But, see, Koala Boy, I'm not a very usual girl," Ryden said, and added a proper little smile as an afterthought. Because clearly he wasn't up to anything bad and he DID say that whatever this was, she didn't have to get him a present too.

Watching closely as his fingers opened the box, Ryden's whole demeanor softened as she caught sight of the silver piece of jewelry that Orlando was pulling out. Another smile tugged at the corners of her lips and the brunette wordlessly handed out her hand for him to put the little bracelet in.

... And he'd even added the sun. A tiny little silver sun onto the bracelet.
