A stone square courtyard is the first aspect of the grounds that you come to after you travel through the corridor. Surrounded by magnificent stone columns adorned with luscious ivy and slight lily growth, the courtyard provides students with benches to sit on with their friends or for the one who just wishes for some peace and quiet. Also, in the middle stands a very illustrious Wishing Fountain.

"No imaginary partner... I just like to twirl around sometimes. And I love your shirt."

He spotted Sierra coming by and didnt even really need to see Lola to know that the young Slytherin was around. Salander had to smirk. The young Snake must be so enjoying the possibility of swimming with the fishes.

Well now, she didn't have to be all...grinning...about it.
Even if that didn't make sense and she was going for more of an insult type way of thinking that, it still annoyed Evelyn. A smart first year or not, she was short. Or...well...no she wasn't...
Glare.
"If you're saying you don't want to be partners even though you're suggesting that I don't have to agree with being partners with you...why'd you even ask?" Yea, why ask? Pssh. Made no sense.
Salander made sense though. Opening her own bag, she was going to reach in and see what there was, but Sal got his first. Shiny stuffs. "Mermaids?" Seriously? Glancing between the young Slytherin girl whom she didn't know the name of and Salander, Evelyn scoffed before speaking up again. "If one of us has to turn into a mermaid...I vote the young one does it."
She was smaller.
The Slytherin lad turned his head at Evelyn "We're turning people into mermaids?" then shifted his eyes quickly at the little girl (Aurora) just as Evelyn did. He smiled sheepishly and shrugged at the young Slythie. "You'll look cuter in a fishtail than I would anyway." Boost of confidence for yea?

Viola smiled back. Ah, great. If the girl had refused..it would have been really embarrassing. Huh. Anyway.. "Hi Caroline. I'm Viola..Viola Cartly." Viola added hastily, "It's nice to meet you." It was best to act a little polite..at least, towards the seniors.

She smiled to the younger hufflepuff. She looked over at the Puff Prefect what was he eyeing. Her own eyes darted to the paper in Viola's hand. Holy Merlin, The map turned into a different map.
"What? How? What is that?" She pointed her finger at the map thing. She looked around at the others. She raised an eyebrow as Salander spoke up taking the words right out of her mouth. She glanced down at the paper in the puffs hand. She had seen something before, just a few minutes agon in fact.

Oh. Oh, had she been here the whole time?

"Hey Sierra." she replied back, glancing from her to the others around them. Well, darn. If Sierra was here the whole time, than Evelyn needed her eyes checked. Or to stop being distracted every now and than and pay attention to her surroundings.

"No need to glare at me. I asked to pair up because, when I asked, we were the only ones here and I thought it would be helpful to get a headstart. If you don't want to I can walk over there but you both have silver bags and mine's green so you might need it." she observed, rattling the green bag as she said it.
What? What did she mean 'what'? Evelyn thought she had been perfectly clear, and that was quite a tongue twister to say, so she was only saying that once.
Although, the firstie had a point. Her bag was green and theirs were silver.
Darn.
"Fine." she muttered, sighing quietly. It seems they had to pair up after all.

"I don't know." Were they turning people into mermaids? She just had a random thought, what with the mermaids on the coins and all, that someone would have to turn into a fish sooner or later. And if they did, the firstie will be the one doing it.
She didn't know about the whole 'looking cuter in a fishtail' thing though. Who looked cute as a fish?

However, just about thinking that this was a waste of time, she was once again distracted by what the other Slytherins were so interested in. What...a piece of parchment that Huffie was holding? Oh, wait no...it was a map.
Where are all the other Hufflepuffs? Like, seriously. They were the hardworking ones weren't they? There should be more!
Scooting a bit closer, she eyed the map, before looking up to...Caroline wasn't it? Carter's girlfriend. "Looks like a map." You know, just in case she didn't know what it was still even after Salander just said what it was. "A map...with our coins on it." Awesome, they had to go find something else apparently.

Okay, seriously, Treyen couldn't help but chuckle at his comment about Viola. They weren't sharing anything. Except one Hufflepuff. "No, there will be other Hufflepuffs," and that meant other maps, other maps that only worked IF a Hufflepuff was holding them. Awesome, no?
He raised an eyebrow, but soon smirked. He was no one's token, Salamander. Treyen made no comment, but if he actually needed to be there for Slytherins, he wouldn't mind.

She was pleased to see that Matt had his sketchbook; she was actually quiet excited to see what he had been working on. Ellie noticed Matt eye her plate of brownies and she instantly remembered that they were still in her hand. "Oh! These are for you. For taking me to the hospital wing."And making sure I didn't die. She handed the plate out towards him. Sure, the house elves in the kitchen had done most of it, but Matt didn't need to know. At least not yet.
Ellie gestured to the space next to him. "Mind if I sit? I brought some paintings to show you." She said with a sheepish smile. She was a little nervous to show him all her work, in all honesty. Ellie really wasn't one to show off all she had done, in fear of being criticized or ridiculed. A silly fear, really.
When she handed him the plate, Matt took it and set it down on his other side for the moment; not immediately eating one was rather tempting but he wanted to focus on the conversation instead of the brownies. Though that was rather difficult at this point. "You're not late at all, I just got here and then Sophia decided to join me since I was off here by myself; well it appears we have the trifecta of houses here. Myself being a Slytherin, you're a Ravenclaw and Sophia is a Gryffindor; all we need is a Hufflepuff then it would be perfect." It would have been better if it was another dude to round out the little party since everything would be equal for once.
"Go right ahead, I'm quite intrigued to see what pieces you brought to show me; as you noticed, I did bring my sketchbook; there is one piece that I would love to show you since it's actually a painting." Grabbing his sketchbook, he opened it and flipped through the pieces until he found exactly what he was looking for. Handing the book to Ellie, he waited for her to make a comment on the piece. "I painted that last summer when the sun was almost down on the beach."

It drove her insane that someone in this modern day and age could be so obtuse. "That's really ironic." she said, smirking. "No one in my family is like that. Thank goodness." she said. The lion couldn't stand to have someone like that in her family. It would drive her crazy. "Where in America are you from?" she asked, randomly. She wasn't sure why that question just came to her, but it did.
When Sophia continued to speak, Matt turned his attention back to her since he didn't want to be rude in any way; it was rather amusing as she decided to comment on his cousin. Despite the fact that he did think that she was more than just a little odd, he never truly questioned her whole old school Slytherin behavior. "Ah well you're quite lucky, I deal with her every holiday; luckily last Christmas I managed to spend time back home since she had to go back to work. But unfortunately this summer, she'll be back to hang out around my house and even escort me around Diagon Alley since even though I'm 16; she still feels the need to treat me like a baby." Which wasn't something that he liked at all. "Oh, I'm from California; well Los Angeles to be specific, unlike people's beliefs.. it does rain there, the entire winter it rains." That myth seemed to amuse him plenty since he knew obviously that it wasn't true.
Harper skipped into the courtyard, settling Pretzel on her shoulder with one hand and her other clasped around a map. She looked up from it and spotted Treyen. She waved quickly to him before looking back down at it, because that was what friendly people did. And she was friendly, so there.

Harper stopped in her skipping and stared down at the map, raising an eyebrow. Whaaaaat? She studied the round shaped images, like coins, on the map. Where was she supposed to get ruddy coins?
O_o Were they chocolate coins?
She looked back up to see Treyen wink at her. She tried to wink back at him, but she ended up just blinking both eyes very hard and looking like she had a bug in her eye or something. She rubbed at her left eye as if she actually did have something in it, you know, to cover up her mistake, and tried again with the wink.
Wink.
There we go.
She began walking again, but slower this time, and started to study the map again. That was so weird. What coins? And where were they?

Ladies and Gentlemen.
Boys and girls of all ages.
Try not to gasp too hard, but Sierra Greingoth is actually excited to see a PUFFER! She grabbed Lola by the arm, much in the same way the girl usually latched onto her, and then attempted to drag her fish-loving friend toward the newest Puffer. "Lola!" she half-whispered, half-spoke. "Let's go grab that Pu---Hufflepuff!" No need to offend the girl, since they seemed to need her.
"Umm..., hi," Sierra said. "Lola and I, we need a Pu--Hufflepuff. Would you like to work with us?"

Harper looked up from the map to see two girls she had never met before. The one who spoke seemed a tad familiar, though.
"Oh, hi," she eyed them curiously, lowering the map. They needed a puff, eh? "Um, sure...I guess I can work with you." she rubbed her neck with her free hand, a little nervously. "What does 'working with you' entail, exactly?" Strange Slytherins wanted a Hufflepuff. Beware. BEWARE. Pretzel fidgeted on her shoulder and seemed to nudge her shoulder in Treyen's direction, but Harper laid a hand on the pygmy puff's head before it could lunge itself. The adults were speaking.

Oh, no.
That was...awful, AWFUL. Sierra and Lola...with Cricket? They better watch out for Cricket, though. She's a feisty one. Actually, that was the oddest group ever imaginable.
But, whatever.
Since it seemed the map had found a new group to lead into this task, then it did the same as with Viola. But not exactly the same. It changed into this.

He didn't like the way all the Slytherins were looking at Cricket. Like, a Niffler had spotted a knut. Not nice, people.
But Treyen had to clear his throat as soon as Salander mentioned 'join groups'. He shook his head after making sure the Slytherin was seeing him. No joining groups either. The map could only be shown to two Slytherins. They could work out the clues together, but they'll be splitting in their groups.
Remember? Someone needs to get to their final destination first.
And now he felt like he was THAT knut the Niffler was seeing. STOP IT SALANDER. He will assist if he had to.
OOC: If Salander joined Caroline and Viola, then he'll be able to see their map.
The girl did NOT want to meet Randy? Lola had to hide the fish cookie from being extremely damaged and she just made a look at Sierra like a madman because she seriously just committed the horrible crime of insulting her sibling in front of everybody! That was horrible. She was ready to construct another lecture but ooooh look, Sierra was being PICKY AGAIN! How dare she! "Sierra," she started and her eyes only widened even more, trying to stuff the cookies in her pockets even more so that their precious, innocent ears wouldn't be influenced by this!
"Hufflepuffs aren't OBJECTS, Sierra! We can't just use them!" Did she not realize how she was her very own Hufflepuff before she got sorted? "Excuse me, madame," Lola said very royally, "would you like to become our friend and as a friend?--you humbly decree to let us use abuse you and share your little pretty map with us!"
Much better.

LE GASP.
Lola wondered if it had been her own tricks but she embraced the girl. "I'm Lola, darling," she uncurled her tongue and smiled.

Since it seemed the map had found a new group to lead into this task, then it did the same as with Viola. But not exactly the same. It changed into this.
OOC: Only Lola (Slytherin), Sierra (Slytherin) and Harper (Hufflepuff) can see this new map. ALL Hufflepuffs too.
THE MAP.
EEEEEEEEEE.
Lola felt FIERCE. SHE FELT STRONG. But wha? "Psst. Sierra. Huffie-Friend!" It looked as if they'd already known it, but she was utterly confused.
...
"It's blinking."

She guessed she could work with them?!
Blahh. See, this was reason number 634,459, 034 that she had it in for the Puffers. Yet, she couldn't complain. At least not vocally. They needed the Puffer! Sierra shrugged. What did she look like? A Ravenclaw? "I don't know. All I have is a green bag filled with two coins, and Lola has a silver bag filled with--two coins, I'm guessing?" she answered. "We have to use them and a map to get to the next location."
She eyed the Pygmy Puff on the girl's shoulder but said nothing else for now.

Oh, look at that. A map in...what was the Slytherin girl's name again? Umm, anyway, ...in her hand. Sierra edged closer to the girl and peered at the map.

"It's blinking."
Gee, Lola. Way to approach the Puffer in a manner that'll make her want to stick around. Sierra rolled her eyes at no one in general. "What she means," Sierra spoke up, "is that we can provide the coins if you can provide the map." Which she so obviously was providing seeing as she now had it in her hands, and there were blinking...coins? Yes, coins! Anyway, blinking coins all over it.
"So a silver coin...with a yellow tail...lights up first," she pointed out. She peered into her green bag again. "Nope. I don't have one." She looked up at Lola. "Aaron said to pay up. Do you have that coin?" She tapped the map again, pointing out the silver coin with a yellow tail. "Maybe we should, you know...ask Lockhart if there's anything we can buy with it?"

Harper observed the second girl next, a grin now forming on her face. She was a little different, this one. She caught the word 'abuse' used lightly and very fast, but she had already agreed. Ah, well. Hopefully they didn't mean it. And she wasn't getting led to her own sacrifice.
"Oh, I'm Harper." she wondered briefly why Lola had pronounced her name with such deliberation, when she was distracted by what the girl said next.
She looked down at the map again and saw that it was indeed blinking. "Er - yeah, it's definitely blinking." she nodded in quick agreement. Was it blinking...in order? And how come all the coin images were surrounded by a certain color when it blinked, eh? EH EH EH?
Nope, she was confused.

Harper looked from one girl to the other, an eyebrow raised. "Ooookay, then." They were both different in her eyes. Sierra seemed a bit...snappy-er. Or whatever. "Well, seeing as I do have a map, and you guys have those coins, that's all that matters." She tried to smile at Sierra, but had an odd feeling that the girl wouldn't even be talking to Harper if she had not had a map. Meh, oh well. She would try to make it pleasant.
Harper peered at the map again as Sierra talked about it. Coins. She wished she had coins. She liked, no - LOVED coins. Coins coins coins coins coins.
She looked from one girl to the next again, biting her lip. "Do you have to put that colored coin in the fountain first or something?" she asked, gesturing toward the first coin that lit up.

Reason: Edited to include Anna's :)
Lola was momentarily distracted from trying to touch the blinking coins before it vanished (my my my, she was distracted lots today). She quickly took out her silver bag though, and opened them to reveal her green and yellow mermaid coins! "Should I name them?" She questioned the other two and she looked at the coins, wondering she should name mermaids because they were just oh-so-legendary creatures and wouldn't that mean she was disrespecting them? The girl would have to create a name for them later though because she simply wanted to solve this treasure-thing already. Hmph.
Oh look, the Hufflepuff spoke back to her! "Nice to meet you, Harper!" Harper... Harper... harps... a beaaaautiful instrument.
They were all back in task now.
"Ask Lockhart?" Could they do that? Plus, Lockhaaaart... Tsk tsk tsk! "TREYEN!" Lola called over to him. "Do we pay up to the fountain with our coins? Or is that STRICTLY confidential information and you can't tell me--because you know that is a billywig of a move, Treyen! It truly is!" But what if he would tell? Hmm? HMM?
Lola looked at Harper, "You know--MAYBE! Would that give us four wishes? When there's only three?! Can I get that extra wish if we do?!" OH PLEASE.

Someone with a green bag?
Well, that firstie had a green bag. Evelyn remembered because she was stuck with her as a partner, but before she could tell Salander that, he noticed himself. The sixth year grinned when he said her name, obviously proud of it, yet he also brought up a good point. What were they supposed to call her? She was all for calling her 'firstie' or 'kid' like Sal was doing...
AND...that was a good idea in her opinion. Five in a group was fine, wasn't it?
Apparently not. Eying Train Boy, she huffed quietly before glancing to Salander. Noooo. Couldn't the firstie and him trade bags? "They need a Slytherin with a silver bag there." she muttered, pointing to the group that Caroline was in. No way was she being in that group. "You could join theirs."
While she was with Firstie Kid. Maybe she was a lucky Firstie Kid and a swarm of Hufflepuffs with those map things will suddenly appear.

Helena looked around to see what the others were doing, and apparently they needed a Hufflepuff, because they had some kind of map.
Looking quickly at Aiden with a follow-me-look, she made her way to the Hufflepuff Prefect. "Hello," the girl started, but she didn't quite have any idea what to say next. "We have to be two Slytherins and a Hufflepuff in a team?"

OH. LOLA! Well, she was calling him by his name, no? He'd heard Sierra speak his name first, but he paid little attention to that, because she wasn't looking his way. Plus, it was a liiiiittle hurtful that she'd said 'Lockhart' instead of 'Treyen'.
Which Lola actually said. BIG surprise, really.
Funny. The Fountain was the only thing that seemed to be radiating light, and yet she had to ask if they had to pay up the Fountain? The answer could be yes. Or it could be no. But we all knew what the answer was, right? "STRICTLY confidential information," he winked.

Uhh this was soooo messed up in Helena's head.
Treyen looked towards another Slytherin and nodded. They needed someone with a map, and Hufflepuffs had maps...except...where were the Hufflepuffs?

Following the older Snake towards the Badger Prefect, Aiden keeps quiet and ignores her surrounding. It seems like she has something playing in her mind again.
She looks up at Helena and speaks up. "I have some Hufflepuff friends. I will try to ask them who doesn't have any teams," says Aiden with a serious tone.

"Are they here?" Helena asked, looking around for any available Hufflepuff, even though she could see more green uniforms, rather than yellow ones. And... she had a good friend as well, but it looked like she was already paired with... Caroline? Great.
Uhh she reeeaaally didn't like this... whatever-it-was thing.
