A stone square courtyard is the first aspect of the grounds that you come to after you travel through the corridor. Surrounded by magnificent stone columns adorned with luscious ivy and slight lily growth, the courtyard provides students with benches to sit on with their friends or for the one who just wishes for some peace and quiet. Also, in the middle stands a very illustrious Wishing Fountain.
Frown still firmly pasted on her face, Cass dragged Heather down to the courtyard, her guitar in its bag on her other arm, and Heather's wrist on her other.
"Come on, I need help with my Defense homework." She admitted, she doesn't really fancy asking anyone for help, but she couldn't very well dance by herself could she?

"Okay, okay." Heather chirped, still trying to catch up with Cass's pace. The way Cass held her wrist sort of hurted her, she felt it would have left a mark. Was she really that mad? What did she do? what happened?

"Uhm...C-cass...my wrist..." she said.
Cass turned in alarm when Heather had started complaining about her wrist. She hadn't realized that she had been gripping it that tightly. She quickly dropped the arm, as if it was on fire and looked at her apologetically.
"Sorry, I guess I didn't know I had such a strong grip." She said as she placed her guitar on one of the benches and took Heather's wrist in her hands "How bad is it?"
All this emotion was bad. Meh. First she was angry, then she was sheepish. What the hell. She was starting to think she was going crazy or something.

Heather smiled sweetly at her bestie as they both observed her wrist. There was a slight red mark, but it wasn't that severe. "It's going to be fine, i guess...it's not that bad." she assured Cass. She then took back her wrist and started to ask questions. "Uhm...i was...i wanted...to ask...what did you mean to big brother about what you said, Cass?" She did seem angry. Did Connor do something or did she do something to make Cass mad?
" I am glad you would like to meet "The Giant Squid" William told Roxane. " Oh sure, he has a secretary to make his appointments, I think it is Crab" William laughed. " We can meet him anytime yo uare ready to meet him" William explained to Roxane.
"Good one", Roxana chuckled. "He might welcome me friendly, I suppose, but yeah, I'm totally ready to meet The Giant Squid. I wanted to meet him ever since I attempted to Hogwarts", Roxana explained.

But not enough to actually eat something. Ehh. "Do you know what you're doing after Hogwarts?" he asked. Was that being nosy? Well, curious was more like it. Yes. That was it.
Looking down at his sled, Stephen answered, "Not really. Once in a while, when I'm feeling an adrenaline rush. Other than that, I throw snowballs at little first years with my friend Kat,"
The grinning Spaniard looked down as Stephen mentioned that he'd be leaving after this year. His grin faded. It was true. Even though he had only been attending Hogwarts since last year, it felt more like home than his previous school had. He wasn't sure what he was going to do once he left Hogwarts, but the idea made him saddened.
"Yeah, this is my last year here," He said softly. Shaking his head, he looked up again and looked at Stephen. "Well, I was considering getting a job over the summer in Diagon Alley. But I'm not sure. Since I came here after I took my O.W.Ls in Spain, things got a bit messy." he frowned. "My parents want me to get a job at the Ministry..." he added.
"How about you? I know you've still got one more year here, but you must have started thinking about what you wanna do, right?"
ooc: I'm adding to this post cuz I gotta find ingredients for potions class. xD
Roderigo gazed over to the side of the courtyard, where a bundle of plants were growing freely. They had caught his attention for they were something he needed for his Potions class. He looked apologetically to Stephen.
"Sorry I need to grab these real quick," he said, running over to the plants. They were Valerian roots, and he needed them for his Revitalizing Potion. He pulled out his wand, conjured a container, and pulled out some of of the Valerian. He ripped off the roots, threw them into the container, and hurried over back to Stephen.
"They're Valerian Roots," he said, feeling it was necessary to explain it to Stephen. "In Potions, we needed to find ingredients to make our potions. I'm making a Revitalizing Potion, and I needed these." He shook the small container before placing them back into the pocket of his robes.
"Thanks," Septimus said. "So, what house are you in? I'm in Gryffindor."
Harper ignored the wind for a second and turned to Septimus again. "Oh, I'm in Hufflepuff. Do you like Gryffindor? I think it would be my second favorite house." she shrugged and pondered briefly on that.
Kita's eyes wandered to the strands of purple extensions in Samira's hair. It had quite a nice effect: not too bright but still bright enough to stand out slightly. And Samira can actually pull it off! Whereas if Kita got extensions, no matter what the colour, it would look awful on her. Some people just have it all. "So what made you get purple extensions in your hair?" After all, it's not like Samira spontaneously got it done. That sounded like something Kita does would do.
Was it just her or did it seem like Samira had forgotten that she was on the team? Ok, they hadn't seen each other in what seems like YEARS so maybe Samira couldn't be blamed. Plus, it's not like Kita's memory was perfect. "You did?" So she did notice her! And to think the girl thought no one would recognise her because her hair had been tied up... for once! Wait... what? "No i wasn't," she said, almost automatically, "I mean... thanks! But i wasn't." And she definitely knew that!
Wait... Old Kita? o_O Kita wasn't that old was she? Oh right! It was a joke on the way she said 'Young Samira'. A laugh escaped the old young girl. Seriously, what she would do without someone like Samira, she did not know. "At least life is treating you nicely," she said, nodding and smiling, "Oh! Yes, it is quite chilly this year isn't it? I don't ever remember it being this cold at this time of the year before." But then again she couldn't remember a lot of things so that last comment was rendered invalid.
Samira chuckled a bit at the memory of deciding to get purple extensions. At first it was kind of a hell no reaction, since she liked her hair solid and dark just the way it was. "Well...I don't know if you know my friend-Nika Adler?" she continued without waiting for a response. It wasn't important anyway. "Well, she has this whole head of dyed red/pink hair, and it always just catches your eye, you know? So we were sitting at the Ravenclaw table--don't ask--" There was so many memories that day. Samira comforting Nika, officially becoming best friends, deciding to get hair extensions..."Anyways, we were talking about hair, and I felt so boring, so I decided to get extensions." She grinned. "We were thinking about green for Slytherin but green hair never looks good, and I'm not that into pink, so purple it was!" And that was Samira Sapphirre Spink's riveting story about how she came to decide to have colored hair. Samira just hoped she didn't bore Kita to death....nope, still breathing
"Yeah, 'course," Samira smiled and nodded. Then Samira rolled her eyes and gave Kita a light, playful smack on the arm. "Don't be so modest! You wouldn't have made the team if you weren't good." She allowed a small smirk. "But if you sayy soooo..." But really, Kita was really good on the pitch.

All this emotion was bad. Meh. First she was angry, then she was sheepish. What the hell. She was starting to think she was going crazy or something.
Jonathan came up to the courtyard after days of preparation. This should be the perfect moment. She's just over there doing something. Jonathan stood there for awhile and stared trying to sum up all of his courage.
Why was he shaking? This is so not him. He used to be that guy who had all the confidence and wouldn't care about stuffs like this. CALM.DOWN!!! He looked and spotted---- HEATHER? Heather's her friend? Jonathan never knew that. That's nice at least. With Heather around he could really do this.
He shook his hand and wiggled his feet. You can do this Jonathan. Yes, he can. He must.
He walked up to where Cass and Heather was. "Uhmm... Cassandra Prewett?" he said her name lightly and smiled.

She breathed out a sigh of relief when Heather said that she was fine. She didn't really mean to hurt her..Then she frowned when Heather asked about what she had said to Conner earlier. It was during the heat of the moment...but she still meant every word of it. He was weird and he went after young girls who could be his little sister like a creeper. Eeeew.
"I did actually." Cass said, keeping her ground "Someone had to say something to him, after all it's creepy. Besides, it isn't like I was the only one who thought of it. Everyone who knew about his little crush on Kurumi found him peculiar. Crushing on a third year like that...not that I'm saying that Kurumi isn't crushable or whatever..just saying that he could have went for someone who was almost his age." Then she sighed "And now since he doesn't have a girlfriend again, he's gone and started hitting on you."

Well.... here goes nothing...
He's dead! Roasted dead!
After her slightly epic speech, she turned in surprise when someone called her Cassandra. For a moment, she wondered if her mother was there, since she was usually the one who called her Cassandra, but then realized that it was a stupid conclusion since the voice most definitely didn't belong to her mom.
She smiled at the person who called her and said "You can just call me Cass if you want." She really didn't fancy being called Cassandra, its sounded sooo formal. She eyed him for a moment and wondered where she had seen him before, he did look familiar...but she knew she hadn't met him yet..
"I don't think I know your name." She said with a confused frown on her face. He most certainly knew hers.

Headdesk. Jonathan should have gone with her first instinct and called her Cass. Seriously, Cassandra? He should have listened when his friend said that she wants to be called Cass. Really. Why didn't he listen to that idea? Or maybe, he wanted to but because of the tensed situation he could not just think straight.
SNAP.OUT.OF.IT.
He tried to act calm and collected. Okay, note that she wants to be called Cass starting NOW. "Sorry... I meant to say Cass" he smiled. Fairly amused by calling her name. "But the I thought you'd like it if" he was running out of sentences "....nevermind".
Sigh. Yeah, and here he thought, he rehearsed well. STUPID!
"I'm Jonathan" he introduced himself. He tilt his head to look at Heather. He smiled at her as well. They were both acquainted to each other long ago, so no need for introductions to the two of them. "I'm in the fourth year" he turned back and gazed at Cass, smiling.
This is really fun! sorry if Heather's painfully naive!! OH MYKA! xD SOWEE!!

Heather admired Cass for speaking out, but she never really thought of Connor that way before and it made her sad a bit, thinking that whatever was between Connor and Kurumi went bad and is really...heart breaking. More so when Connor and ...she still could not get the name of his last girl friend-Wait, they split up? "They split up?" she inquired a bit, but then took it back. Cass did say that he doesn't have a girlfriend anymore and like her auntie and her mother, Cass's information are always accurate.
And now this. Hitting on her? but, how? "He is?" she asked again. She really didn't get it...how Connor would even think of hitting on her. "I don't seem to understand...but i do know you meant it as a bad thing..."

Cass looked like she didn't know him, but was being polite at greeting him and getting to know him. "...athan....." she finished her voice trialing off to a fade.

But his fingers were still shaking.
Oh, and he saw her. She smiled back. Did she hear him, maybe not? Her voice was really soft when she called him out. She looked back at Cass and at Jonathan. Something was really up, and it felt a bit serious at the same time light, so she wondered, if she should leave these two alone. She took a step back. “Erm...should i leave? I think...i should...this might be...serious...and personal.” she said, smiling at both, taking a step away from being the one in between them both.
after all, both were slythies. something must be up.

"Right.." Cass said uncertainly, smile still firmly pasted on her face, as she watched him try to say something but then change his mind. Did anything happen? Why did he look so..nervous?
Then she smiled when he had finally introduced himself. Jonathan huh? She was pretty sure there was a Jonathan who was in fourth year and was in Slytherin..so maybe he was it. "Nice to meet you Jonathan."
She wondered why he was here though. Not that his company was not welcome or anything. After all, she and Heather weren't going to do anything important anyway...she just used homework as an excuse to pry her away from Connor's nasty, veela tentacl--arms.
"Uhm...Can I help you with anything?" She asked, there had to be a reason why he was here.

And then Jonathan was startled by her follow up question. He turned his focused back to her.
GULP.
What to do? What TO DO??? He could run now but then, he would definitely act as the biggest fool especially in front of Cass. This is really stressing Jonathan out but in a good way. Oh if only his nerves calmed down.
In his back he took out the divination homework they were suppose to do. Yes, he finished his homework earlier as expected. And the hard part of the homework is just happening. He took out the bouquet he made. It took him 2 days to finish up something like this.
Since the homework required that they're suppose to give it to someone, Jonathan decided to give it to Cass. "I'd uhmmm..." he blushed. "...this is" he couldn't bring himself to construct a sentence "for you" he paused.
Took him awhile to let that one out. "I hope you'll like them". he said. He wouldn't be surprised if Cass would act a little bit confused, of course, he would gladly explain why?
Well, he has admired her for awhile now.... secretly.

What? Messing with her? Knows what people thought of him? Somehow Heather was picking up slowly on what Cass meant, and though it made her a bit sad, she was a bit relieved that Connor is aware of everything. Or so she thought. Heather didn't want to ponder on such anymore...
and Jonathan was still with them. She was about to sneak out, when Cass Grabbed her shirt. "Okay, okay, i get the idea...." she said, in a pleading tone. Cass wouldn't let her go just like that. "..and what do you mean by that? There's nothing wrong with what i'm wearing, right?" Atleast she wasn;t wearing something revealing, so what's wrong with her outfit? Is Cass suddenly fashion police?

...
CHOCOLATE CHIPS AND MILK! DID JONATHAN JUST GIVE HER BESTIE A BOUQUET???
her eyes were not deceived. Cass was receiving a preeeeeeeeeetty bouquet from Jonathan, no less!
Wait, didn't they just meet? So why is Jonathan giving her a bouquet? Is there some special occasion...or is this something else? Something she barely understood the pretext of its concept.
wait a second...didn't professor Bishop tell them to give bouquets to someone with a meaning behind it?
She supposed it was why Jonathan had one, but...he was giving it to Cass whom he seems to know, but Cass doesn't. Something's up...she wondered what his message was as she looked at the bouquet, falling back to be the silent one around since it was not her time to speak out and about.
How Heather wished she had her book that was about the meaning of flowers.
"Nice to meet you as well" Jonathan smiled back at her. Still slightly nervous but still acted calmer than ever. For awhile he stared at the ground. He couldn't help but feel excited and yet at the same time worried. Why was he doing this again? If only she knew...

She smiled when he seemed to have finally relaxed a bit, but unfortunately that didn't last very long since the moment she asked if there wad anything that he needed, he started getting all nervous-y again. WHAT IS GOING ON??
Then her hazel eyes widened when he suddenly brought out a bouquet of white flowers from behind him. She had never gotten flowers before...sure she's had a few guys try to, but they've never really gotten round to it..or never really bothered to in the first place.
"Thank you." She answered with a smile, a faint blush on her cheeks, "I love them."
But wait, what brought all this on? As far as she could remember she had never talked to him before and they had never met...was this some sort of dare or something? Because if it was...someone was getting hurt. "What's with the flowers? I mean, not that I don't appreciate them..I do, but..why are you giving me flowers?" She was getting confused.

and Jonathan was still with them.

Cass sighed. Of course Heather won't understand. "Never you mind." She said as she rolled her eyes. She noticed that Heather didn't really enjoy being trapped here..besides, maybe she had to meet up with Kurumi or something. She reluctantly let go of her shirt and said "You're free to go if you want."

That's a relief. The smile on her face really made Jonathan happy inside. He thought hard and long enough about which flowers to take. He even took the liberty of going to the library and search the meanings of such flowers. So yes, it is such a big relief that she likes it.
Now, he can finally breathe.
He giggled while scratching the back of his neck. He didn't act like a fool...... YET. At least now, he was back to normal.
Of course, he had this question coming. He knew she would ask him why she gave them in the first place. Words started to ramble inside his thoughts. "well" truthfully? "I like you..." he looked at the bouquet he made. Happy to see them so pretty and actually turned out better than he expected. Jonathan doesn't know how to make a bouquet but the thought of actually giving them to someone kinda motivated him a little bit.
"I don't know why but I just find you amazing" he said smiling once again to her. Jonathan can say she's pretty, adorable, sweet, and what not but to him those adjectives were just not enough to explain why he likes her.
Because... he just does. Right now, he's just hoping she wouldn't think that he's acting like a complete psycho or something.

Wait a second, so she was free to go just like that? Just when cass urged her to stay...just when she saw Cass and Jonathan be friendly...a little too friendly perhaps with the flowers, that is...she can go?
But she supposed she really should go; this looked important and the slight blush on her bestie's face was making Heather feel that what she was thinking was right. Or she thought it would be.
Jonathan seems to have taken a liking to Cass. She smiled at the two, but her smile did look sweet, yet there was a hidden mischief behind it, sort of like wan urge to tease her own bestie. Still, she knew she could never tease Cass-she'd go ballistic and Heather would cringe, half-laughing, half-scared. "okay." she said calmly to Cass. "Catch you later Cass. We do have homework to do." she said, but that was likely a lie-she'd rather put it as an excuse. She turned to Jonathan and with beady eyes, told him: "See you around Jonathan! A lot, around i guess." smiling a bit wider, she turned around and hopped out of sight from the two.
SPOILER!!: Myka!

HE.LIKES.CASS.
HE.LIKES.CASS.
Heather was greatly surprised at this, but she was grinning at it. Jonathan likes Cass. So does that mean he fancies her? He did say Cass was amazing and she would nod, no, she would bow to that. Cass is an amazing girl; after all, she is one of her best besties. One she'll never replace with anything even though Cass was temperamental.
She leaned a bit closer, straining her ears to hear what Cass has to say to what Jonathan said. Perhaps, she can take a lesson or two about how people with...what was that term...crush? yeah. how people with Crushes are like.
CHOCO CHIPS, she still does not really understand how love, like and crushes go about even though it was evident with her that she was already having one with a boy whom is no longer around in Hogwarts but is overseas-in Dumstrang.

To say that she was surprised would be the understatement of the year. After all, she had never talked to him before, how could he like her? Know her? As far as she knew, all he could know about her was that she was Fee's best friend, she was the girl who threw parties every summer. And yet he just said that he liked her....
She smiled gratefully, her cheeks becoming pinker by the minute. Meh, she hadn't blush this much since that time Levi and her tried to out-complement one another...Amazing? Seriously? "Thank you."
Then her eyebrows furrowed in confusion as she voiced out her thoughts "But how? I mean, As far as I remember, I've never talked to you before...How do you know me?" She was probably being to questioning or whatever but she didn't want to risk anything. Not anymore at least.

"Sure, I'll owl you or something." Cass said as she waved Heather away. She knew that girl wouldn't go far. Pssh, she was a Gryffindor for something. Loyal they said...more like gifted with a natural knack for trouble. Sure enough, from the corner of her eye, she noticed a small dark colored head dart low where she couldn't see. Spying again. Typical.

Jonathan's eye widen when Heather said those words. He couldn't help but smile a little bit at that. It was in fact a very nice compliment. "see you around, Heather" his eyebrow slightly raised. He got what she meant but Hetaher saying that out loud is just weird or embarrassing.

Jonathan saw her blush or was it just make-up. Jonathan doesn't know the difference. Maybe. And when she said thank you, Jonathan can;t help but just stare at her. He feels all fluttery inside. He's acting very differently from the real one.
"I'm sorry for confusing you in so many ways" really, he is. He couldn't explain himself any further with why he likes her a lot. "I've admired you from a far mostly" yeah that was it. Jonathan never actually came up to him because he was oddly shy talking to her. He's trying his best not to make a complete fool out of himself. It's been months since he started crushing over Cass. He didn't know when it exactly happened but he saw her once at the common room while he was sitting down and then, the rest is history.
"I actually knew your name when i asked my friend" yeah and it gave her a hard time to think who Jonathan was describing. Well, it was stupid of him to ask a ravenclaw instead of a slytherin. "Quite frankly, i don't know that much about you" well of course he doesn't, Jonathan's not some psycho dude that would stalk Cass. That's just weird.
He just fancies her even from a far. "Sorry" he mumbled that last one. Sorry for confusing her a lot.
Dude. The Pensevies aint got nothing on you. Aslan is the God

Sure, Amy grinned at the blondie. Who was rather fit even if she did say so herself, she pulled a hand through her thick long hair, which she was thankful for normally during these months, but now, not so pleased. Because they had a strange sun moment. And it was a hot, intense sun. Disgusting.
Did he say he was Alex? Uh. Yes. Yeah she nodded, smiling at him.
Hmmm. He was rather fit.

Cass' hand flew up to her neck to idly play with the pendant on her necklace but was surprised when she found that she wasn't wearing it. Weird...She would have to find it later.
But, back to the matter at hand. It turns out she had a secret admirer. Which still puzzled her to no ends. But she did find it terribly romantic though. But really? What did she do to deserve the attention? She wasn't even excelling in anything this term just for the reason that she had been too lazy to try harder...
"Thanks." Cass said slowly as she rattled her brains for anything else to say "But, just a quick question. How could you like someone you don't even know?" Unless his basis for attraction was purely physical of course. "I mean, for all you know, I could be some harlot who has the worst manners in the world." She said jokingly. Of course, she wasn't a harlot. And she had impeccable table manners.

Jonathan's mind went blank when Cass asked her that question. A friend of his asked that question once as well and he couldn't seem to find the right answer to that. He doesn't know if it's hormones or whatever it is but all he knows is that everytime... yes everytime, he sees her, his eyes can't stop looking at her, brain can't stop thinking, his heart can't stop beating. So how was he suppose to explain something he can't even explain to himself.
"I find you very beautiful" He nodded his head. okay, that was a shallow answer. "And i see you almost everyday" the great hall, potions classroom, courtyard, pathways, treehouse, lake, Common Room, you name it. Not that he was implying he's following her or something. Definitely not. But everytime Jonathan was there it so happens SHE was there as well.
He chuckled at the last part of what she said "Well, i'm not the nicest person too but you know..." he teased as well.
They're actually having a conversation. If only Cass could imagine how happy the slytherin boy is inside.
