A stone square courtyard is the first aspect of the grounds that you come to after you travel through the corridor. Surrounded by magnificent stone columns adorned with luscious ivy and slight lily growth, the courtyard provides students with benches to sit on with their friends or for the one who just wishes for some peace and quiet. Also, in the middle stands a very illustrious Wishing Fountain.
Samira held up her crossed fingers jokingly, taking what the Gryffindor said litterally. "You betcha."
She nodded. "Ooh yeah, I use funner all the time." It drove her parents up the wall. That's one of the perks of using bad grammar. "And gooder, too!"
Samia waved an airy hand. "You're fine. I get off track all the time." Sadly, Samira shook her head. "I wish." Samira reached out a finger and stroked the top of Vlad's head breifly. "My parents hate animals. They're too much work and too much mess." The Slytherin rolled her eyes. "Plus, we do so much travelling it's almost impossible to take care of anything extra." She rocked back on her heels. "But if I could have a pet..." Samira's face took on a dreamy expression. "I would practically have my own zoo! I'd have dogs, cats, horses, birds, and snakes! Lots of snakes!" And now she was rambling. Samira snapped her mouth shut and smiled sheepishly.
"Gooder?" the Gryffindor echoed, giving her an amused smile. "Nice. You don't mind if I use it, do you? The literary gods must be ticked off that we keep butchering the English language. I've never been much of a reader, though. I've never really found out anything that was interesting and I don't think we even have books around my house, unless you count car magazines." He rolled his eyes. His old man had such boring taste.
"Yours do too?" Levi said in disbelief. "God, that really sucks. I know how you feel. I had to keep hiding Vlad during the summer because he would have been tossed outside if my dad found him." He reached up and gently stroked one of the bat's long ears, feeling sporadically protective of him even though they were already at school. He couldn't help it. Vlad was his only pet and he always worried that something might happen to him. He was practically the closest member of his family.
"Awesome! I love all those animals, even snakes," he trilled. "I used to find some really boss ones in the woods but I never thought to take them home. I wasn't sure which ones were the poison kind either but they're so cool-looking." That was amazing that she wasn't afraid of them. He didn't mean to generalize but most of the girls he knew were petrified by snakes, at least the ones back home.
Selina peaked out from behind Kyle and looked at Lafay. For a second she thought Lafay looked her way and she ducked back behind Kyle. This was safe and comfortable. She didn't need to reach down to her Gryffindor courage to step out into Lafay's line of vision. She was content hiding behind Kyle.
When she commented about Vindictus Selina whispered back, "Really? I like him, he just likes order. Lafay is just scary. I mean everyone has heard the rumors. They aren't exactly warm and fuzzy."
"Mmm, I have to agree with you there - it was more that he muttered I shouldn't have been a Ravenclaw last term..." Kyke admitted sheepishly, that little bit did kind of burn a bit. "And yeah, she is just crazy making Josh do the potion with no hands was absolutely insane." That it was.
Yeah those weren't exactly rumors of them not being warm and fuzzy it was kind of like it was written in stone or something. Because both seemed tough on students. "I don't know, maybe it it was the whole thing with all the muggles last term" it wasn't a lot of muggles only two. But he didn't like that she was talking nicely to the frightened girl.

Partner dances are usually meant for a boy and a girl, but seems like Hogwarts is fresh out of those. So they could try to dance and have a good laugh about it at the same time. Besides it's not like the DADA professor was going to see their dancing. He was only grading their journals. So they can be awful and still earn a good amount of points for Gryffindor.

Whoah, why was the world spinning in circles? Zara stopped twirling, but couldn't control standing straight. She walked like a drunk, as hey eyesight was blurring, everything was moving. "Hey I've a question - do you know what happened with the kid and the Snargaluff - did Black really get his Captain title revoked?" She asked as she chewed slightly on her lip.

The blonde mentioned as she mentioned Braeden as the goofball and then she pretended to throw up. "He must make your life pretty bad for you to be pretending to throw up." she added, smirking her Malfoy smirk. Yet, Emma still didn't know why Ruby didn't like Brae. "So why don't you like Brae?"
She burst out into laughter as the other girl mentioned a leash. "Maybe two leashes." she added. Emma blanched. "Whoops. Sorry I didn't know. I didn't see you around last year at all. Funny. So how is your sixth year here like apart from Brae?" The blonde pushed a strand of blonde hair off her face as she looked out at the other people talking.
Emma smirked as Ruby proclaimed pranks were overrated. She laughed about how Ruby said she liked to glare at people! Woah- she was funny yet serious at the same time. "I think it depends on who you pull the prank on. If you pulled it on Professor Lafay- that would be wickedly fun." The blonde raised her eyebrows slowly. "You're joking, right?" she added, sarcastically.
"You have no idea," Ruby replied to Emma as she continued to write her letter. Except it was the same thing she had written last time--great. At her next question, Ruby stopped and looked up at her. Why didn't she like Brae? Well, if truth be told, it had all started over a marshmallow. And then things escalated. But this girl didn't need to know that, it was a private matter. So Ruby simple shrugged her shoulders in response.
At the mention of two leashes, she grunted; it wasn't really that funny. And as the blonde apologized for not knowing that this was Ruby's second year at Hogwarts, the redhead rolled her eyes again. "Yeah, I bet you didn't," was her reply. She didn't exactly make herself known. Well, not really. "Apart from Brae? Uhm, sucky." Which was true because she didn't like school much.
When Emma laughed at her glaring joke, (which, mind you, wasn't really a joke at all) Ruby looked up at her again, one eyebrow raised. She was acting as if Ruby was some comedian or something and so she stared hard at the girl. Apparently she didn't get the hint that it was an inside joke. "Who's Lafay?" She asked Emma suddenly, though, as she had brought up the name. It didn't ring a bell at all. But then she was asking Ruby if she had been joking--"Joking about what?" She said, turning back to her letter one final time so she could fold it nicely. It sounded almost sarcastic but if she was asking about the glaring thing, it wasn't a joke. She really did enjoy glaring at people--just ask Goofball.

I'm glad that you and Marie finally had that talk." Now they can get on with their lifes. "Carter, I love you." She gave him a kiss and smiled sheepishly at him. Now that she told him she really felt better. The timing may not be the best. But that was okay.

Well now all the little brownie points that he had gotten in the last fifteen minutes or so, he had just lost them, all of them. It wasn't the' it's not a big deal part' it was the next part. The it was 'the something between him and Marie' part. What did he mean by 'it in no way affects how I feel about you'? Gosh would he ever just completely let her go? She crossed her arms. She wasn't mad, and she told him that. But now she was getting pretty mad. He should really just shut it. Before he got into more trouble.
Okay that was it. and he said sorry. "But would that be the last time? Right?" Okay now he was back on the right path.....or not. "That's true." Oh yeah she heard that little mumbling. "It didn't straighed out anything.... in fact in just made it...." Gah she didn't know what to stay. "made it harder for me." Was she really going to do this? After that last comment she didn't know, anymore.
She stood up and walked it front of him "No, Marie didn't punch me." But she might. Oh Merlin she is turning into Marie. Great she was starting to cry again. "Yes, I'm sure. I love you, Carter Phillips.I would've have told you if I didn't mean it. But now...." Argh Why do guys have to be so stupid.
"How many fingers are you holding up?" She repeated. She stared at him for a moment. That's it. She rolled her watery eyes and stormed out of the Courtyard. She was being seriously about being in love with him and he made a joke of it. PFF Whatever she didn't need this, not right now.

Kurumi stood in silence as Connor spoke to her again. The scent of vanilla was almost intoxicating and it took all her will power to not grow weak in the knees. She had found a new resolve in the past hour. A new inner strength that she hadn't had for the past six months and she needed to hold onto it as she moved forward.
Smiling softly, Kurumi rested a hand on his arm. "And I know a wise man who once said that it is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities." While her ability wasn't necessarily one that had her living in fear, it was one that made her feel uncomfortable. Selina, on the other hand, was living in fear every second of every day and there was nothing she could do to control it. At least Connor could have some control over it. He knew what triggered that part of him.
She shook her head. "I am not just talking about your music," she continued returning her hand to her side. But he seemed to have understood that bit. "I am talking about discovering who YOU are. I-I only recently began accepting myself...and that was all thanks to Lexi. I really owe her a lot. Adam helped me too...and when he left...I lost everything I had gained." She looked up into his eyes and her own flicked towards the silver chain in her hand. "I need to rebuild, and I don't know how long it is going to take."
She blushed, not really knowing what he was congratulating her on, but at least they appeared to have come to a mutual understanding about a few things. "D-D-Do you mind if I meet you there?" she asked putting the ring back in her robe's pocket and leaving her hand there as she played with its smooth surface. "Th-Th-There is something I need to do first."
She looked up at him and smiled sheepishly. It wasn't something that she wanted to do...but it certainly was something she needed to do.
Connor nodded. She made a lot of sense. How could one who knew so much about himself in one respect know so little in the other. If he did not explore his veela side and learn his triggers, then he would never be truly happy because he would never know what it was to be himself completely. "Thanks for the advice, yeah I'll meet you there. Take your time." He replied smiling at her before turning to walk inside.
"Really?" She asked startled maybe it wasn't true... "I just remember when in Flying class - Vindictus told him to take off his badge...and said he could have been expelled" that was a shocker.

Selina laughed as Kyle made a joke about Ravenclaw's Captain. Jacob needed someone to knock him off his high horse like he knocked Selina off her broom. She would never forget that or forgive him for that. That kid was just asking for trouble messing with her. "Yeah that would be an awesome yearbook article. But as much as I hate Jacob I would hate to see you not able to play. They shouldn't punish him because then they punish your whole team."

She asked Emma suddenly, though, as she had brought up the name. It didn't ring a bell at all. But then she was asking Ruby if she had been joking--"Joking about what?" She said, turning back to her letter one final time so she could fold it nicely. It sounded almost sarcastic but if she was asking about the glaring thing, it wasn't a joke. She really did enjoy glaring at people--just ask Goofball.
Emma smirked as Ruby exclaimed that Emma had no idea how Brae had ruined this girl's life cause Emma didn't know how sweet, adorkable Brae had accomplished it. Huh.. He must have a Slytherin side.. Naaaaaaaaaaaah. Her eyebrows raised as Ruby replied to some things in quite a sharp attitude. Wow. This girl needed to relax. The blonde sat there listening to this girl, however she didn't say much. Sucky? Why was Hogwarts sucky?
The blonde bit her lip, nervously. Ruby seemed like a person that you didn't want to get on their bad side. Shudder. "Lafay is the Head of the Slytherin House. She's the Potions Professor and she's wicked." she explained. "I think you'd like her." The blonde sighed and thought, because you act like her. COUGH! She took a deep breath and waited for what else Ruby was going to say.

Oakey took Rebecca's hand and lifted her to her feet. He then gently placed his hand on her waist. Alright then, here we go. Oakey began to do what He and Isobel had done earlier and took what he would have called elegant steps. Just to make sure he wasn't stepping on Rebecca's feet he occasionally look down.

Hearing Josh yell her name and ORDER her to stop, Destiny crouched herself closer to Lafay. She was tempted to grab hold of the back of the woman's clothes, but decided that was probably not such a good idea. She wanted to get Josh into trouble, not herself. And she really didn't want to die.
Peeking around the woman, she gave an over-dramatic shudder at the sight of Josh. If she wasn't trying to get the Gryffindor in trouble, she would have thrown his sweaty, stinky and Josh filled shirt right back at him. Really, Destiny did not want to have to look at him all shirtless. It was HORRIBLE! Her eyes..they were BURNING! Lafay! She should conjure him up a shirt or something. Just about to suggest the Professor do so, she shut her mouth quick as Josh spoke of cheating. "What!?" How was she cheating? What was she cheating on?

Scoffing at his OBVIOUS LIE, Destiny scurried herself behind Lafay once more, only to give a not so over-dramatic shudder at what she said. LOVE CHASE!? KISS!? JOSH!? That was gross!

With a look of mock HORROR on her face, she scrambled to her feet and pulled Josh's shirt from her bag. "But Professor! He gave this to me! He said it was a sign of AFFECTION! Throw him in the DUNGEONS!"
