The ground WAS warm Oakey figured. I came back here to grab my homework. I left it...OVER THERE Oakey sprinted off to the other side of the courtyard, grabbed his parchment that was sitting on one of the benches and sprinted back to Isobel and Luke. My DADA homework Oakey said catching his breathe. I wanted to get some of them done today. So I meditated a bit in the courtyard before. Oakey blushed at his forgetfulness. I was so deep in thought even after meditation I forgot my parchment.

Isobel grinned at Oakey. "I was working on my homwork too. I was just heading down to the lake to swim, but then I felt the ground, and it was warm." No, Luke, she didn't sit down. Yes, Oakey, she did sit down because it was warm. Hehe. "I haven't meditated yet," she mused. "What do you have left to do?"

Swim in the lake! Oakey said aloud. Isn't that a bit crazy!Oakey looked at his parchment Well, we have to do these more than once but I haven't swam danced sang or have done Karate yet.

ooc. This is a little before Oakey's doomsday.

Isobel nodded. "Yeah, it's really crazy. But swimming is fun." She just hoped she didn't get eaten by the giant squid. "I haven't danced yet either," Isobel mused. "I have no idea who to dance with." Hmm, maybe Oakey would want to dance. Or Luke.

Nika practically jumped up in the air with excitement. "YAY!" Now that Zara is convinced they can get one more piece of the journal out of the way until next week. "So it says ballroom dancing on the assignment sheet?" She said grabbing her paper and double checking herself.

"Right so ballroom dancing... We're going to look really funny to people who walk by." She added the last bit whilst laughing. "Okay so erm I can't remember too well how to do this... Erm I think we have to hold hands?" She couldn't stop laughing it was just too funny to even think about. "And we can do the waltz or something? It goes like this. One...two...three.... One.... two... three... and we pretty much dance with that beat? I don't know let's just have some fun with it. It's not like he's watching our dancing so we don't have to be good."

Zara nodded as she smiled.

Wait, hold on, hold hands? Zara laughed out loud along with Ariana. In between laughs, she said, "Yeah, you're right. *chuckle* So let's get this thing over with," she grinned and took Ariana's hand and laughed again.

"Hey, maybe you could be my boyfriend." Then suddenly burst out laughing again.

Connor's heart skipped a beat as she kissed him on the cheek.He bit his liip and clenched his fists to keep from kissing her right then and there. He tried to find the words to say, words really came so much easier with music than when he was trying to talk sometimes. She had got up to her feet and suggested dinner by the time he got his words together. "Kurumi wait." He said softly, getting to his feet. He reached out for her hand. "I need to get something off my chest." He sighed. "I really want to be holding you while I say this but I don't want you to be uncomfortable." He looked down at the ground something he never did in front of her, and blushed. "I want you to know how I feel. I-im n-nnnot really sure how to say this without music, but I'll try." He mumbled. "I'm having a hard time not showing you that I care. The little touches and kisses to the cheek are my way of trying to show you how I feel and I keep hoping that maybe one day you might see me-Care for me the way I do you." He blushed and was unable to control the puff of veela scent that emerged from his pores as he quietly poured his heart out to her.

Selina held fast to Kyle and for a moment, and if only for a moment she was not strong. She had never really liked a boy before and therefore her heart had never been faced with the prospect of being ignored. Yet why was she even sad? Simon like her as a friend, maybe closer to a little sister and didn't she just want him in her life? Wasn't that enough that he was there? Regardless it would have to be because he liked Kyle. Everyone could see it.

With that she held closer to Kyle who was taller than the little twelve year old, "You promise you won't tell?" And Selina began to cry lightly.... she still had an image to uphold.

I-I'll dance with you... WAIT!WHAT WAS HE SAYING! Oakey wasn't sure as to how good a dancer he was. He had never really tried it before.

Isobel smiled and tried not to blush. Oakey wanted to dance with her? Okay, that would be cool. "S-sure," she said with a smile. Okay, so...she had no idea what to do then.

Luke smiled when a small-like Hufflepuff came over to them. Isobel seemed to know him. And then she introduced him as Oakey. "Nice to meet you too Oakey," he said, shaking her hand. He smiled when Isobel said the ground was warmer. "So you were sitting on the ground?" She couldn't deny it now. And then...Oakey asked Isobel to dance. Who did he think he was. He was just a little first year, Isobel wouldn't want to dance with him. But then she said yes, and Luke frowned. Humph.

Oakey took Isobel's hands unsure of what to do next. I have no idea what I'm doing he said.

He looked back at Luke who had seemed unhappy that he was about to dance with Isobel. What's the matter with him. It's not like I'm stealing her Oakey thought.

Luke, you can butt in when ever. Oakey thought it'd be nice to include him. Oakey didn't want Luke to think he was taking his "girlfriend" or anything. He also didn't want to make any enemies here at Hogwarts.

Isobel ignored Luke, because he wasn't very nice. Oakey was her little buddy and she was going to dance with him, no matter what Luke though. So there, Luke. Isobel had no idea how to dance, but she knew she was supposed to put one hand on Oakey's waist, so she did that. Then she kind of just started...dancing around. She had a feeling neither of them knew what they were doing. "Luke can mind his own buisness," she said. Who cared about Luke? Well...she did, but she'd never tell anyone that.

Oakey just followed at what Isobel was doing. and put his hand on her waist and grabbed her other hand. Oakey smiled at Luke, it was an innocent "I didn't mean to" smile, but he probably couldn't tell. Oakey turned his focus back to Isobel who he was now dancing with..at least he thought he was dancing.

Isobel had no idea what she was doing. But neither did Oakey, so it was all good. She started humming, because you can't dance without music. Music was essential for dancing. Maybe they could combine the singing part of the assignment with the dancing.

...She decided against that.

Kyle nodded, when Selina asked if she promised she wouldn't tell. Of course she would keep her promise she was a Manning for one - and not only that a Ravenclaw. And Ravenclaw's kept their promises for the most part. She might have been one of the only one's to really do that ever because she was amazing like that.

"I promise, and you know what, if this guy hurts you there will always be someone there to pick up the pieces if he ever breaks your heart...even a good friend to help you and no matter what you will only get stronger and even more tough and brave with all the relationships you go through" Kyle knew that first hand even if her answer once was leave the country. She could have stuck it out but, she needed to leave and now, knowing her mom was actually still in America made her happy. And sad at the same time.

"And don't worry, even though I'm supposed to leave next term, and everything who knows maybe we'll run into eachother again - we should make a plan to especially because you'll have one person whenever you go pro quidditch waving a flag for you right here." And she meant that. She really meant it, she would support the fiery red head with her quidditch dreams. Even make her a broom if she went into that profession and name it after her.

Oakey began to hear her hum. This was soothing to the ears and Oakey drifted off into his own world again. He was worried that he might step on her feet or trip her. But Oakey and Isobel seemed to be in perfect harmony.

Selina looked around while she was still hugging Kyle. The girl was really making sure that she felt cared for. Under her soft her tears she muttered."Thanks, I've, um, never had an older sister before." The moment she said it she regretted it. Kyle was going to think she was a freak.

She pulled away from the hug abruptly and looked around panic striken. Part of her wanted to run, the other wanted to stand there frozen and hoped she didn't notice her. but she had to run... so she started to.

Hecate looked behind her confused. See? THIS was why she didn't venture into the sunlight... "Shepard! Get out he-"

But Josh's screaming stopped her. "Cheating?" She looked at the crouching girl, and then at the Gryffindor boy. "If this is some sort of love chase, I don't want to know about it, and I'll put you both in detention if you kiss in front of me!" Merlin... Kids these days.

Kyle chuckled, "Don't worry Selina really you don't need to run off" she smiled it was sweet really, Kyle found it sweet that Selina thought of her that way. And if she really did feel like her that way she would never hesitate to look out for her.

"And Selina, really your like a sister to me already really, if you want you can adopt my siblings...Ed's off in Germany and Charlotte works at the Daily Prophet but, it'd be nice to be able to have a little sister...i've always been the youngest realy" She admitted with a smile.

But as she looked up she noticed Professor Lafay and felt herself squeak. "Might not want to run...Professor Lafay's here" she pointed out discretely without pointing even.

Selina looked at ground when Kyle stopped her. She heard in her ear the faintest acknowledgment of Kyle feeling like her older sister. She raised her eyes slightly and said, "You're just saying that. Look I know I made a fool of myself. This is what happens when I let my guard down."

But at the sound of Lafay Selina ran behind Kyle and hid. Lafay scared her more than anyone. "What?"

Isobel grinned; this was fun. She spun around, and kept humming. This was going well, neither of them were injured yet. And it was fun; she liked it. But it was a little weird, because Oakey was shorter than her.

Kita bit back a laugh as she looked at Louisa. Huffies are the ones with wit? "Yes, i know! Maybe the Claws should be ashamed," she said, still holding back the laugh and winking at Louisa, "Being outsmarted by Huffies and all." But Louisa's grin, far from her words, made the brunette burst out in laughter. Seriously, what Kita would have done without this girl, she wouldn't know.

Kita smiled warmly at Louisa. She kind of felt good about telling her. What with the fact that Louisa actually knew what she was going through and wouldn't say something stupid. That's why the sixteen year old held a smile on her face. "Thank you, Louisa," she said, "I don't... I don't actually know, you know," Her and her stupid bad memory! Think woman, THINK! "I guess they thought i was old enough to find out the truth. And some relatives came over and i think they said something about telling me something. I overheard so my adopted mum simply had to tell me." Because she demanded to know. Idiots!

Kurumi felt her breath escape her when she felt his hand enclose around hers. She didn't flinch, but a shy gasp escaped her pink lips and she turned to look over her shoulder at him. A gentle breeze rustled the trees and the ribbon holding her hair in place came loose, sending her hair cascading down and over her shoulders like a waterfall of black silk.

She couldn't be sure, but she thought that she saw his cheeks turn a shade of pink, but it was hard to tell with the make up on his face. She stared at him as he spoke with unblinking eyes and felt the chain around her neck holding Adam's gift grow heavier and heavier. Looking at his hand and squeezing it gently, she looked back at him before she spoke.

"Connor...I-I know..." she began before stopping herself. She did know. He had made it very clear of his feelings and intention when they had had lunch together the day before she had headed back to Japan. "But...you need to understand what I have been through and that the events life throws us effect us all in different ways. Until I came to Hogwarts, I had grown up totally alone. Not even my mother, to this day, will look me in the eye because she is afraid of what I am. I-I finally found someone I felt safe around. Someone who I could confide in and...in a sense...allowed to take over who I was." She squeezed Connor's hand tightly as a way to stop her tears from flowing again. "I-I've never been given the chance to see who I am. What I can do...I need to be able to do that right now..." She turned her eyes towards the ground and felt the knot in her stomach grow and tighten. She knew what she needed to say, what the fear lying beneath all the layers of self doubt was.

Taking another deep breath, Kurumi turned her gaze back to his, took a step forward, and rested her hand on his chest directly over his heart. "There is a hole in my heart right now that is so big that an army of Hippogriffs could probably march right through it. When you showed up..." the sudden puff of vanilla and cinnomon nearly threated her to lose control in her weakened state, but she fought it off. She was sure that her face had contorted as she concentrated on not allowing his Veela influences to take over. "...when you showed up...part of me just wanted to let go and allow you to make me forget everything...But...I can't allow that to happen. It would only hurt you more..." She tilted her head down for just a moment. "You deserve more than that...and so do I...." She paused. "I shouldn't want to go to anyone because they will dull a pain, a temporary pain that I will be able to heal myself. I...I made a decision today...after reading that letter," she said feeling the contents of her robe's pocket.

"I-I-I haven't been running away to hurt you, Connor," she said after a few more moments. "...and...and...I'm really sorry that I have..." She squeaked softly as a few stray tears streamed down her already flushed cheeks. "If...if it's too much...and you feel you would be happier removing yourself from the situation," she said slowly squeezing his hand once more. "I-I-I will understand...just know that I am acting the way I am...so that I do not use you. I am wanting to do what is healthy for me..." for the potential us...

Lexi tromped out to the Courtyard in her work out attire. Time to get started on the ridiculous assignments for DADA. SIGH. With a bottle of water under her arm she brushed her hair back out of her face and slapped some pins in it. She needed to be able to SEE.

Finding a more secluded spot she set her things down to one side and then folded herself down on the cold ground. Spreading her legs as far as she could she reached over and grabbed the toe of her left shoe and began to streeeeeeeetch. Closing her eyes she held the stretch for a moment or so and then switched legs.

Lucky for her she trekked up and down all those steps everyday to get to her classes and the kitchens. Heh. She worked off everything she ate with all the walking, hence her terrible eating habits.
