She took off the grouchy expression on her face and tried to make herself look slightly happier, because she should. She should be happy, not all depressing and mopey. She didn't want to spend her last year sad. |
for Yssa and Arielle Daichi laughed when Zara started to make sissing sounds. Seriously! this girl was funny! He laughed and laughed .......but then his laughter was cut off in an instant as he looked down at his stomach where Zara had placed her head on, as though he was pregnant and she wanted to hear the baby...sissing? Blushing a deep scarlet red, Daichi grabbed Zara's shirt and dragged her away from his stomach. What was THAT for?! "Uh..." he said intelligently and had to turn away because he felt his ears started to heat up too. Luckily, rescue was nearby when Ariana and Zara started to speak to each other. However, when Zara told Ariana that his name was actually Lychee he slapped his forehead. What did this girl have? Memory problem? He just told her his name is Daichi! He even SPELLED it! "Ya! just Daichi is fine..." he muttered but he had the feeling they wouldn't listen. Nope, they wouldn't. Daichi had a major Gaaaaaah! moment in his mind as Ariana started to apologise and called him Lychee now. Maybe it was going to be a nickname for him? and..wait.. was that a BAG Zara was holding up? Daichi frowned looking at it , thinking he had been so sure it was a book she needed to fetch... Daichi listened as both friends started talking to each other about classes. He thought they were right about Potions. Lafay IS scary but.. Daichi was wise enough to keep his mouth shut. Not saying a bad word about the Professor. She IS his head of house, what would happen if she found out about him speaking in an ill manner.? Daichi shivered. Oh the horror! When the talked about Transfiguration he nodded his head. "True, true! Shaaaaaaaaaw or whatever he wants to be called ..is weird but.. i don't know" he liked the man, he was..different. "By the way, do any of you two know what the Arithmancy homework is about?" he was very confused. |

"My mom and dad always give me and Grace lots of time and attention," Jory told Ness. "Did you show alot of magical powers when you were young?" Jory asked. He had had some and was very perplexed as to why they happening to him. But it had all cleared up when a wizard arrived at his house and when he had read wizarding books. |

"Oh" said Ness quietly."Erm.. only when I was 5 I started. How about you?" Nessie started to think about the day she found out she had magical powers too. It was a happy and sad day as she rememered, the joy of her parents, yet she also remembered how mean the girl which tried to bully her was. |

The memory still brought Jory to laughter when he thought of it. He was shocked when it had happened and it had been very worrying for him during the years. He had thought there was something wrong with him. Jory looked at his watch. "I got to meet someone, Ness. Maybe we can catch up sometime?" |

"But whyyyy does it have to be poem!? i'm bad at that stuff!" Daichi cried out. The lesson had been pretty easy , he had only made a few calculation mistakes , that's it. But the homework they had been given was so confusing him he had hoped that someone could help him. He listened to Ka-..no Zara's explaination but it didn't get him far. "Can i write your homework ov--i mean can i take a look at it?" he tried, giving his BEST puppy dog eyes at Zara. |

He left, heading towards the castle to meet Ari. |

Samira gave a small giggle. "Mysterious-er?" That was something you didn't hear everyday. She looked at the sky and shook her head in a mock-exhasperated expression. "And just when I thought the King of the Nerds was at the top of his reign...!" She pretended to clap her hands lightly. "Congratulations." Samira smiled and shook her head nonchalantly. "I screw up words all the time, too." She smiled to herself. "Funer, sleeped, drownded." She felt silly for listing all of her mistakes in grammar, but really, it wasn't that big of a deal. The Slytherin cocked her head to one side thoughtfully. "You know, I bet we can make our own words if we wanted to." |

"Seriously," Levi agreed with a playful roll of his eyes. "It's pressure to keep up this title sometimes." He smiled as she explained to him that, once in a while, she made up her own words as well. He hadn't met anybody who did that sort of thing. Most of the students around Hogwarts, especially the ones their age, seemed to take themselves way too seriously. Nobody liked to mellow out and just laugh at themselves now and then. It was all about status, competition, and beating one another at Quidditch. Such things almost bored him to death. Who cared about them in the long run? School only lasted for seven years and it was better not to squander that time with stress. "I think you're starting to out-do me, though," he added, putting the comic book down again. What was the point of reading right now? The Gryffindor was having too much fun goofing around with Samira. "We totally could. You know what? I like that you're not afraid to poke fun at yourself, Samira. You're really different, but in a good way." |

The Slytherin raised an eyebrow. She felt flattered that Levi thought so highly of her, and a little taken aback. Samira didn't think anyone other than a few select people really thought she was fun to be around. She gave a genuine smile. "Thanks, Levi," she said sincerely. "Same goes for you." It was totally true, too. How many guys joked and called themselves the "King of Nerds"? It was so cool! Samira didn't get why more people didn't just...let loose. It was so much Giving herself a mental shake to forget about the uncomfortable topic, Samira quickly returned to their light-hearted discussion. "Our words should be totally unusual, but make sense. So we're totally original." Samira felt excitement build up as she went through all the possible combinations in her head. |

Ellie looked at him sideways and laughed a little awkwardly. "Well I certainly hope you don't go suicidal, Theo. It would be a tragic loss." Heh. And Ellie would have to use her crazy awesome Whomping Willow super powers to save his life, just like she did with Hyun. 'Cause she was that awesome. The brunette beamed when the boy said he loved chess. "Really? We may have to play in the common room sometime, I'm always looking for a good competition." She said with a mischievous smile. Ah, yes. Gobstones. "Mm, I never got into that game. I'm not to fond of the squirting ink." Ellie said with a light laugh. And it just seemed a tad boring to her. "Yeah! There's actually a gobstones club. I don't know when they meet or if it's already started, but lots of people love it." She said with a nod. |

He couldn't help but grin. "Tragic, really?" He simpered in a faux, playful manner. "Aw, dear Ellie, I'm touched." Theodore promptly snorted, bringing his left hand to cover his mouth. It was a bit too humorous to act like a proper prude. |

Dear Ellie? Touched? She couldn't help but snort slightly. "Tragic indeed, dear Theo." Ellie said over dramatically, resting a hand on his shoulder in mock-comfort. She brightened up. And now she had a book-worm buddy AND a chess buddy! "I look forward to it!" She told him with a smile. Ellie couldn't help but notice a small fear arise in his eyes as he spoke briefly of trying out for the quidditch team. "I take it you aren't a quidditch fan?" She asked curiously. |
Hugo sat on a bench in the courtyard, pretending to read a book. He didn't even have his reading glasses. He just needed something to distract him from his thought. He didn't really want to think about it. The thought kindof frightened him. Edmond was all perfect and good looking. What did he have to give? Nothing. He sighed. |

Levi wasn't the type to compliment people unless he really and truly meant it. He wasn't the sort of boy who threw around sweet words to reel a girl in and then use her. That was the problem with most relationships he was surrounded by day in and day out. Guys just spat out random compliments to their girls to keep them contented or swung in the other direction, playing the sympathy card and cutting themselves down. Levi had a fair balance. He didn't have a martyr complex as most Gryffindors were associated with but he didn't have a big head either. Life was too short to pick one of the two extremes. He preferred being himself; his geeky, impatient, and easily amused self. He was glad that at least now he had found somebody who accepted him for who he was. He didn't need to pretend around his new friend. "Uptight? You?" the fourth year repeated, making a strange face. "On what planet? No offense to your parents or anything but I don't think they know you too well. Then again, my old man doesn't know me all that much either. He could give two craps less what I do with my life, actually. I don't need validation from a drinker, though." He shook his head in revulsion. The extent of their closeness was when the man was sober and even then, he yelled himself hoarse and threw chairs at Levi if he implied one little thing the wrong way. Words really couldn't describe how free he felt back at Hogwarts. "You're right," he said, trying to stay cheerful. "I've never had an inside joke like this with somebody before..." |

Theo bit his lip, holding back from howling with laughter. Acting like a character out of a Victorian novel was a bit too much for him. "Hm... I guess I'll challenge you when I catch you in the common room," He smirked, his confidence pertaining to his wizard-chess-skills quite obvious. Theodore could take Ellie anytime, any day, anywhere.
