Which was cool it was kind of like being a beater in quidditch. "I'll play! What do you want to play?"

The girl grinned. "I'm Macy!" she said, introducing herself. She jumped up as the other girl said she'd play. "Hmm, I dunno. We could play baseball. But I don't have a bat, so we'd just have to throw the ball back and forth." Actually, that might be kind of fun. Usually that was all they did anyways. Caroline was nice. Most older people wouldn't consider throwing a ball around with a fourteen year old... Then again, Macy was a special fourteen year old.

"It's nice to meet you, Macy!" She stood up and put the book that she was reading back into her bag. Baseball? Aww Yay, oh no bat. She frown slightly. "Ah, throwing it sounds fine to me." She smiled, that sounded like that would be fun, too. "So what year are you in?" She asked, shee figured that Macy wasn't too much younger than her. She put her hands up ready to catch the ball when she threw it to her.

Jory enjoyed the light wind which was blowing around the courtyard.

"what's it like being the only child," he asked.

"It has some advantages, like I get alot of attention" said Ness smiling. "Though it still has more disadvantages. Like I don't have a sibling to talk to when I need some family advice." The wind in courtyard was starting to blow her hair all over the place. She tried to keep it in once place, but it just kept moving.

OHH GOOD! So the other girl was fine with throwing the ball. Macy dug it out of her backpack and tossed it to Caroline. "I'm in my fourth year," she said, mid-throw. "What year are you?" The other girl couldn't be that much older than she was, maybe a few years. The fourteen year old grinned, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. It really was very pretty outside.

Zara decided to come back to the courtyard once she got her bag. After all, she had nowhere to go to for now. Laichi obviously needed some memory enhancements. Again, while on her way going back to the courtyard, she laughed hard. Daichi, eh? Let Zara call you Laichi instead. Lychee?

When Zara saw that Lychee was still there, she came back to him. "Oh hey Lychee, you're still here." She said as she leaned towards one of the walls, then sat on the cold ground like she was so carefree. I mean, really who'd sit on the floor like that? She looked back up at Lychee. "So how's it going with that other boy you were with, Toby right?"

Daichi frowned when Zara called him Lychee. What's up with people calling him names?! First that Lola girl..calling him Kathy or Rossie and now SHE was calling him Lychee! .. "Uhm .. i'm Daichi, remember" wow talk about a short memory. Or was she making fun of him because he had called her Kara? Ah yes that must be it!

Still, at the mention of Lychee his own stomach started to growl like Zara's had done earlier. Daichi pressed Mr.Duckles closer to him when Zara decided to sit next to him. He smiled at her and pointed at Toby. "Toby? i think his name is Loby..or Coby..Anyways he like Quidditch too so he's cool" weird much. "Anyways, did you get the book?'

"Don't you think, it would just be great if we both would come in the team....from Sytherin?" he spoke very quick, because the thing was so exciting! "You as a Chaser, and I could be the Keeper. But to be honest, I don't expect we'd come in the team. We're young and I'm sure they're looking for people with more experience than we have."He signed, when he said that. It would be a dream which would never come true.

Daichi looked down at his feet. "W-well, yes i think Puddlemere United are good..." he wanted to add 'so what!' But decided not too since Toby hadn't sound THAT strange.. more.. surprised. The first year then looked up at Toby and he smiled broadly, having the same twinkle in his eyes as the other boy. "YES! It would be awesome to be in the team together. And don't let your hopes get down merely because we are only first years!" He said, trying to cheer Toby up. "My big brother always said that it doesn't matter if your old or young, as long as you set your mind on something you can achieve ANYTHING!" He grinned proudly at his brother's words. "So don't you stand there sighing , if we truly want to make the team we CAN do it!" He made a fist pump in to the air. Oh man now he was hyper ...and hungry...

As Ariana walked into the courtyard, taking deep breaths of fresh air after being locked up in that dungeon for potions class *shudder*, she saw Daichi and Zara talking. She happily walked up to them and grinned.
"Hi Daichi! Hi Zara!"

Caroline smiled as the other girl seem excited to have, someone to play ball with. Yeah, she was just a couple of years younger. She caught the ball. "I'm Sixth year." As she caught the ball, she stopped and looked at it. It was decorted very pretty with markers. ""Nice ball." She laughed. "So have you been a Hogwarts since you started School?" She wasn't sure if she had seen her somewhere like the common room or in the great hall. Maybe she transfered from somewhere just this term.

Daichi looked up after hearing his name being shouted out loud by a familiar voice. He grinned when he saw Ariana walking towards them and poked Zara in her side. "Seeeeee! my name is Daichi! Not Lychee! Dai-chi! D.AI.chi! D.i.a.c.h.i no wait..." He looked up at Ariana from where he was sitting and motioned her to sit down too. "How are you?" he asked the girl with a soft smile.

Daichi spelling his name made Ariana laugh... him spelling it wrong made her laugh harder! After a moment she calmed down, said "Lychee?" and that set her off laughing again. It took her a good two minutes to get herself back to normal, and then acknowledge Daichi's question.
"Great, actually, now that I'm out of that Potions lesson." she wrinkled her nose. "The dungeons are just so... eugh. So, how are you?"

ooc: We're just going to pretend the lesson's over, 'kay?

Ellie nodded. "That should be fun. I love London." She said with a smile. Ugh, Holiday breaks were so far away. Couldn't they be here already? And yet it was only the beginning of term. Ellie sighed and looked back down at her hands. She remembered the days when she hated going home, seeing her family. But now all she had left was her mother. She had no one at Hogwarts. And all she wanted was to be home to spend the last moments with her mum. But, you can't always get what you want.

Laughing a little, she nodded again. Foreboding was probably the best way to describe it. "Yeah, tell me about it. But... It's a famous landmark. Historical. So it might be bad if they tried to get rid of it." She said with a shrug. Ellie always found that tree rather intriguing. She had read somewhere that there was a nob or something somewhere on the trunk that, if pressed, an entryway would open and a tunnel led to the Shrieking Shack. Ellie had always wanted to try it, but was too afraid to get beaten to a pulp. Or get in trouble by Stryker.

"I saved someone's life." She said seriously, looking Theo in the eye. But, she soon laughed out. A terrible liar. "Oh, some new kid didn't know about the tree and it was giving him a hard time, so I ran over and tried to yank him away. But the tree left a reminder." Ellie looked back at her ankle, then tugged her pant leg back over the scar. That "new kid" was Hyun, who sadly, moved back to Durmstrang during the summer. She missed that kid. "So, I wouldn't mess with it if I were you." Ellie said with a wink.

"I think I'll love it to. Especially the historical parts," Theodore grinned with anticipation, longing to join the other tourist muggles in their adventures in a new city. "Do you have any travel tips? Are they any places that are must-sees?" He had heard great things about places with bloody histories, such as the Tower of London. They intrigued him, but terrified him, all the same. Blood and violence... EEK!

"That... thing is a landmark?" He rose an eyebrow with surprise. "Why... maybe I should reread Hogwarts, A History, because I remember nothing about a murderous tree that was adored by Hogwarts historians." He laughed, but his curiosity was peaked. Why would such a vicious plant be made a landmark? He doubted that many people would be angry if the tree was removed, if one could remove it without losing a limb or two, but it was no big matter.

For a quick moment, he had taken her seriously. So, Ellie wasn't just a smart girl, but a heroic one, too? She must have been quite the Gryffinclaw. But alas, at her admittance, he had to chortle along with her. "I hopw I'm not stuck in that situation. But knowing some of my friends that tend to be, erm..." He lowered his voice, glancing around for a moment fearfully, "clueless, I might have to save the day for them." He grimaced, hoping it would never come. But knowing some students such as Braeden Stonem and other silly Gryffindors, that day might come sooner than later.

He decided it was best to let her catch her breath first before he tried to make her crack up again. He didn't want her to laugh herself to death or anything. Inwardly, he had to admit to himself that he wouldn't have minded going that way. He was tired of being miserable and morose over the less important things in life and nobody had really helped him out of his funk, save for this girl. In fact, his so-called crush Cass had made him feel kind of worse when he talked to her. She didn't seem to give a crap when he revealed his sick home-life. In fact, she looked as though she had better things to do...like flirt with Christopher or something. He pushed that thought away. He wouldn't let them bother him now.

"I don't want to give it away," he answered cheekily. "It's pretty boss, though. There's this chick in it called Catwoman...I swear, she's the best one out of all the villains. A lot of people like Joker and he's pretty cool too but she's always been my favorite." He neglected to mention how hot she was, though it was pretty obvious.

Samira raised an eyebrow and giggled. "Catwoman?" She cocked her head to one side, still smiling in amusement. "Does she turn into a cat?" It sounded like an animagus. And Joker. Samira had to admit, she was intrigued. The comic sounded pretty interesting. Especially since it was Muggle, and slightly foreign to Samira. All her life, she's wanted to be able to learn more about Muggles, and their style. And here was Levi: extremely kind, sweet, funny. And he was even willing to share his comic books with her, which Samira could tell he really enjoyed. Samira had to admit it to herself-she was starting to develop a bit of a crush on the older boy. The thought made her blush and look down at her shoes. It was just so easy to talk to Levi. Usually she had trouble talking to guys, but Levi was so down to earth and he had this calming aura about him that made her feel comfortable. Buuuuuuut....he was a fourth year, and probably didn't think of her as anything more than a little Slytherin, so she dispelled the thought.

Weird, isn't it? "Okay, now, your turn." She encouraged and waited as she looked back up at Lychee.

"Book? What book? I got my bag." She grinned, and held up her bag for him to see. Then she sighed, he really had some problems he had to fix with his brain. He forgot she was getting a bag, not a book.

Zara tilted her head to the side. Now what? Spelling problems? Whatever it is, Lychee needs to get his head checked. Was there a spell for that? Zara decided to look it up in the library later and made a mental note to search for a spell that cured brain problems. She smirked.

Ah, yes the historical parts were probably the best part about London. Ellie sure enjoyed them anyway. She had a basic knowledge of the Kings and Queens of England, but growing up in the countryside of Ireland, where no muggle can set foot near... English history was something Ellie read about for fun. Ellie's eyes brightened. "Well the Golden Globe theatre is a must-see, if you're in to theatre and the likes... Hmm, there's tons of museums and galleries." Ellie said with a shrug. And it was fun just walking the streets and eating random food.

Ellie laughed. "Yes, actually! That tree has quite a historical background. You should check it out; it's quite interesting." And it kinda plays a part in why we're here at Hogwarts... She had to refrain from snorting. "Well it's only murderous if you get close to it or agitate it." So, if he was smart, he would stay away. The first law of common knowledge: Don't do things that will kill you. Simple enough, yet some people still didn't understand that aspect...

A brief silence settled between the two of them for a moment before striking up a question of interest. "Do you play Wizard's Chess at all?" Ellie wondered. It was always a favorite of hers, yet it seemed like she never got the chance to play over the years.

"Nah," the Gryffindor said with a small shake of his head, turning a page. "That'd be pretty cool if she did but it comes from her disguise. A lot of the heroes and villains wear a lot of strange costumes in here but it's mostly to protect their identity. I guess it makes everything a little more mysterious--er..." He paused, giving way to a bizarre expression before he snorted at his own absentminded comment. "Yeeeeeah...that's not a word. I think I've reached the epitome of geekness. I should have a medal or something by now."

The more he hung around Samira, the more she was starting to grow on him. The age difference between them wasn't as vast as it seemed. They were only a year and a half or a couple of years apart. At the same time, they had a lot in common for being complete opposites on the outside. He was poor, black, and a Gryffindor, and she was wealthy, white, and a Slytherin but they really seemed to click with each other. That was all Levi really wanted--a good friend who could understand him.

Theodore nodded, scratching his jawline with his right hand for a moment. "That sounds quite fun. I've always been a big fan of the bard." He paused for a moment before quickly correcting his statement. "Shakespeare, I mean, not Beedle." Smiling softly, it occurred to him that it was high time that he reread some of Shakespeare's plays and some of the fairy tales by Beedle the Bard. He hadn't read Shakespeare since his early teens possibly because bloody Macbeth had terrified him out of his wits as a thirteen-year-old and he hadn't read or listened to his mum read Beedle's work to him since he had been a small child.

"Will do." He nodded, making a mental note. Maybe Hogwarts, A History would have information on how to fight the tree as well, just in case a certain nervous Ravenclaw was ever thrown into a sticky situation with the Whomping Willow? "Haha, agitating it would be the last thing on my mind. Unless I turned suicidal, or something." A few seconds of silence passed as his morbid joke fell flat. Clearing his throat, he was glad that Ellie had ignited a change of subject. "Yeah! I used to beat my dad at it all of the time. I also like gobstones, too... although it can get a bit disgusting at times." The ink that squirted out of the stones was so revolting that the sixth year supposed that it was fermented troll dung. "Oh, that reminds me... I've been meaning to ask if Hogwarts has any clubs for that kind of thing. Gobstones, chess, anything?" He was itching to get involved.

"Hi Arabella." K-Lee said, smiling up at her. "Alright I suppose.." She said, happy to have seen Arabella again. She hadn't spoken to her since the train. "How about you? Anything interesting happen?" She asked her, smiling at the other girl.

K-Lee wasn't really in the mood to mention her transfer. She didn't want to. K-Lee was trying to forget about it and hope her parents changed their minds and she didn't move.
