| | The Courtyard A stone square courtyard is the first aspect of the grounds that you come to after you travel through the corridor. Surrounded by magnificent stone columns adorned with luscious ivy and slight lily growth, the courtyard provides students with benches to sit on with their friends or for the one who just wishes for some peace and quiet. Also, in the middle stands a very illustrious Wishing Fountain. |

Jonathan is always bad at plants and flowers or vegetable. It's pretty no doubt but he doesn't know a single thing about it.

"Yes, of course. Totally." Her nose wrinkled with her smile, the delicate array of freckles crinkling as she did so. It was calmingly cool in the Courtyard, the cobbled paving dotted with scattered sunbeams cutting lazily through the shadows. She watched the dust dance in their spotlights for a moment, eyeing the shafts of yellow heat with uncanny interest before she turned back to face Rose, a thoughtful expression on her face. "I like you." she said finally, leaning back on her hands. It was the vibes the other Gryffindor gave off. They were just good vibes. Like how she didn't even care that she'd only known Hemo for a short time but was inviting her to her house anyway. "You're like..." She pursed her lips, looking for the right word. "...a panda. Then she looked up, tilted her head to the side and laughed "You should relax, I'm not going to eat you or anything. You look scared out of your wits." Yes, Slytherins notice that sort of thing. "Oh!" She said in surprise as she cradled one flower in the palm of her hand, why didn't she recognize it? After all, it was a very popular flower. Of course she wouldn't recognize them in white, they had them but in pink. and she knew them as arum lilies. Odd. Then she looked up and smiled "Did you know, Calla means beautiful in Greek?" And these flowers are most certainly beautiful. Mmm..

Not exactly knowing what to say, the girl just gave Arabella a smile and then looked blankly at the books that were piled up on her lap. Since the last few days have been super busy, she had no idea how many assignments were waiting for her to finish. At least she finished that Potions assignment, or final exam, or whatever it was.
Alright. Probably time to break the silence. " Do you have any plans for the holidays?" Juuuust a few more minutes of chatter, and she'll go. Books and assignments were calling her.

And these flowers are most certainly beautiful. Mmm.. Calla lily, Gardenia. Those were the flowers that Jonathan picked, well, Jeanne picked for him. Jeanne nearly had a headache in giving him tips about these flowers. They usually don't argue over little stuffs, especially about flowers. Like he always said, he doesn't get Herbology. It's not that he doesn't like the subject, NO. Certainly not. The teacher is really great and the lessons were really interesting and all that. BUT Jonathan becomes automatically a slow learner during Herbology. it's like Herbology is a different scale of subject. it no longer becomes normal to him.
Which is why, this summer, he will try his hardest to study whatever he can in his preparation for his OWLs. After this term, he'll be having one of those. He better step up his game because the only thing he is good at is Transfiguration, Potions and Charms.
Hopefully he forget to procrastinate...
Jonathan looked at her again when she managed to tell him to calm down "Okay" he admits it. Well, he has not been acting himself ever since Cass talked to him. So weird of him. Looking at the flowers on her lap she explained about them that it means 'beautiful' in Greek. What was the word?----Calla. Nope, he did not know about that. At least now he know what it meant in Greek. Bravo!!!
Jonathan finally smiled again after having that serious yet awkward face. Then he took out his pocket watch and looked at the time. His eyes widened. REALLY??? THAT'S THE TIME ALREADY? Well, who can blame him for having so much fun today. He's starting to have second thoughts of not leaving but then again, someone will really teach the crap out of him if he doesn't show up.
OHHHHHH!!!! Why does he have to leave already? Bloody hell!
He scratched the back of his neck and turned to Cass. "Uhmmm..." he started while waving his watch around "I think i have to go" he spoke shyly. He kinda does have to leave. "Talk to you next time." he said looking at her.

He did not deserve it. But he decided not to argue because he knew, no matter what he said - they would still say he did nothing wrong.
Quietly, he opened his fist - using his fingers to untie the strings that closed the little purse. Once it opened, Orlando reached for her hand - turning it, he emptied the content of the pouch on her palm. Letting her hand go, he spoke softly - wanting her to examine it herself. "It's a charm necklace, the shopkeeper said spirito libero means 'free spirit' in Italian"
It had seemed like the perfect gift for her. Orlando had decided to buy it almost immediately. The engraving on small round pendant had reminded him of KT so much. After all she was KT. And Orlando had wanted something to remind her constantly how brilliant she was - which he wouldn't be able to do after she would leave Hogwarts. Katie lowered her hand after speaking, her words having been said and her point hopefully getting across to him that he was in no way at fault for anything or had any reason to feel bad. The Hufflepuff's dark eyes followed his hands as he pulled open a little fabric pouch and then reached toward her, her dark orbs blinking as a slightly puzzled look crossed her face, but made no movement to protest and allowed him to turn her hand. Silent all the while, but clearly confused. Her other hand went to up to pick up the chain as his quiet voice broke the slight silence, holding it between her fingers and letting the pendant dangle in her palm. Spirito Libero. A small laugh escaped her, hearing Lando say those two words sounded so funny to her ears. She couldn't help it. Italian was natural to her, but this was the first he'd ever tried saying anything other than in english. It was cute. "It does," she breathed. The shopkeeper had been right, the necklace did translate to Free Spirit.
..Goodness. Is that how Lando thought of her? After.. everything; after their deeper talks and the incident and everything that had happened this term, Lando still thought that? He was far, far too good to her. Clearly, Lando thought too much of her. Lowering her hands a little bit, Katie's gaze finally moved toward the Gryffindor boy, a small smile hesitating on her lips. "Thank you, Lando. It's beautiful." She murmured sincerely, pausing for a moment. "I'm not sure I deserve it, but hopefully one day I can prove otherwise." Glancing down at the necklace once more, Katie held it out to him, "Will you help me put it on?"

Hogwarts RPG Name: Layla Javan First Year | Layla walked around the courtyard. She couldn't see her anywhere. She was supposed to meet her friend Samira Spinks here. Layla looked in little crowds of people. No Samira. She looked on the benches everywhere. No Samira. She looked under the trees, and there was still no Samira. Layla sat down on one the benches she was checking. She was getting very tired of running around looking. Eh, She thought. Maybe she'll turn up later. And she waited.

It had sort of become a new hobby for Brae to lay down on the stone benches of the courtyard to catch up on his comic books reading. He usually did this in the comfort of the common room or the privacy of the room of requirement, but the weather was so lovely at this time of year that all the Gryffindork wanted to do now was to be outside.
And outside he was, laying on his back and keeping his brown eyes fixed on the comic book he was reading, like the big dork he was. This week's hero? SPIDERMAN. His favourite.

As Ruby walked through the castle, she found herself immersed in one of her chipped nails. As she racked her brain for a spell that could perhaps repair the damage, she found herself in the courtyard, which was full of people. And of course, none of these people mattered to Ruby--that is, until she spotted the one person that DID matter. Her devilish grin spread across her face as she saw none other than Braeden Stonem lying on one of the benches, apparently READING. Who knew he could read!
So the fiery redheaded lioness made her way to the goofball and promptly sat down on his legs, making herself as comfortable as possible. It wasn't like she weighed a lot, anyway. "Heeeey," She said cheerily to her Gryffindork 'friend' while she tried to the title of the book he was reading.

"Heeeey," She said cheerily to her Gryffindork 'friend' while she tried to the title of the book he was reading. Braeden was just getting to the best part of the comic (he'd already read it about 897834758 times before, but it never got old for him) when, suddenly, he felt something SIT ON HIS LEGS. Just sit there on his legs like he was the seat itself!
Completely startled by this, the boy fumbled with the comic book and peeked behind its pages at the culprit who was currently using him as a chair. It was none other than RUBY BLAIR. O_O
"RUBY?!"
Why did it feel to the boy like he hadn't seen her in AGES?! He feared she might've left the school and gone home or something. But she hadn't… she was still here! Without realizing it, the boy grinned, rolling up the comic book in his right hand and using his left to sit up on the stone bench. "Well, isn't this a lovely surprise," he teased, raising his eyebrows at the girl.

Before she could the title, though, the comic book (as Ruby now realized) was snatched away and rolled up. Well, of course it was a comic book, it was obvious that Brae couldn't read a novel or anything. Plus, comic books were full of pictures, right? No words, perfect for the Goofball. "Yes, it's me, have you forgotten what I look like?" She answered as he said her name. Making herself more comfortable and still sitting on Brae's legs, Ruby reached over and grabbed the comic book from his hands. "Lovely surprise? If you say so," She said with a snort as she perused the pictures in his comic book. Wrinkling her nose in dislike, she gave the book back; she did not like spiders or men who pretended to be spiders. "So. Didja miss me and my evil ways?" She said suddenly, grinning at Brae.

Braeden laughed lightly at Ruby's sarcastic reply.
Oh yes, this was Ruby alright. After the whole polyjuice fiasco that had the castle upside-down these past couple days, the boy was never too sure if he was talking to the right person. But clearly, this Ruby wasn't a polyjuiced clone but the real thing.
"Hey!"
The boy watched helplessly as Ruby stole his comic book and began to flip through its pages, making a face of obvious dislike. How could she not like Spiderman!? C'mon, it's SPIDERMAN! But, thankfully for the little cowardly lion, Ruby had given the comic book back. He sighed in relief as he took it into his hand. He'd half expected her to shred it into a million little pieces right before his eyes.
"'Course," Brae replied honestly as Ruby then asked if he'd missed her and her evil ways. Was it weird that he did? After all, the girl spent more time abusing him than anything else. But, alas, he was forever a masochist. "Y'know, the castle's not the same without some little redheaded troublemaker tripping you down the stairs, pushing you off your bed, and shoving your face into your breakfast plate," he added with one of those dorky lopsided grins of his.

"You did?!" Ruby said, slightly taken aback but recovered quickly. She narrowed her eyes at him but he wasn't lying, that much she could tell. "Awwww! Aren't you sweet." She said and reached to pinch his cheek slightly hard. And whether she wanted to admit it or not, she had truly missed that goofy Braeden Stonem grin. "But y'know, I never pushed you off your bed. Cause that would mean I was in your dormitory..." Ruby said with another snort. Ah, it was nice to know that evil was missed.

Braeden let a sort of high-pitched yelp as Ruby pinched his cheek with a little more force than he would've liked her to. As she pulled her hand away from it, a bright red mark could clearly be seen on the goofy boy's lightly tanned skin. On instinct, Braeden brought a hand up to rub the sore spot. Owie.
At Ruby's following words, the boy raised a bushy eyebrow.
Wait… so that WASN'T Ruby?! So then… who was sneaking into the boys' dormitories and pushing him off his bed?!
Little did the boy know, though, that no one was really pushing him off his bed. In his sleep, he was just rolling off the edge of it and landing on the cold, hard floor.
"Hey… is anything going on?" Brae asked after a moment's silence, one hand still rubbing his cheek and his legs by now having gone numb. How was Ruby even comfortably on the bony things?
Anyway, the reason the boy was asking this was because… well, Ruby hadn't really done anything horribly abusive yet. Could it be that… could it be… could it be that she REALLY considered him a friend now?! *O*

Puh-lease, even she knew better than to break into a smelly, boy-infested room. But at the Goofball's next question, it was Ruby's turn to be surprised. "Going on? What do you mean? Liiike a party? Not that I know of, but if I find out, I'll let you know," She said with a wink. What was he talking about anyway?

The girl's response only made the dork laugh for a good minute or so, before he finally caught his breath and shook his head.
"No, that's not what I meant..." He stared at Ruby for a moment then shook his head again. "Nah, it was nothing," he said. The girl looked perfectly peaceful and nice, so he wasn't about to go and ruin her mood by making her think that he was suspicious of her or something. Which he wasn't, he was just... well... surprised?
After a moment, Brae raised an eyebrow and looked down at this Ruby-covered legs. "You comfortable there?" 'Cause he seriously could not feel his legs anymore. He didn't mind, though, it was just an unusual sight to see Ruby using him as a chair.
